It didn't take them long to go for her. Moriath hissed as V'ell drove a blade deep into her right foreleg but she had little time to worry about that before a green dragon dived at her back. The crimson ducked, her belly coming so close to the ground that she felt her hide brush somebody's hair. As the smaller dragon passed she managed a brief snap of her jaws at one green hind foot but it wasn't much of an attack to speak of.
When the tiny skinny blue came for her Moriath practically danced sideways, her bulk smacking into a few hapless saplings as she strove to evade damage. As soon as he had passed however she moved back, trying to keep as close to Kleos as she could.

Lycath - Attacking Moriath
HP 45/45
Attack: 3 + 3 + 2 = 8
Dodge: 1d6
Wrong coordinates. Like a bunch of new Weyrlings, they had the wrong shaffing coordinates. Nevermind that - they were there now, just in time to see V'ell and Zarth going at the huge crimson dragon. Lycath popped from between and swooping low enough for D'ei to scramble off and land a distance from the Wherholders. Rider bolting to the other humans, Lycath launched himself at Moriath with a deep snarl, teeth bared to bite at her.

Attagirl! Keep it up!
As the crimson tried to dance out of the way of the attacking dragons above, V'ell moved with her and struck again at the other leg. Emboldened by her first success, V'ell's second strike was even more ferocious. It wasn't as if Moriath could retaliate, either.

Too slow! Zarth laughed, wheeling around in a tight arc to come in for a second strike. How can you expect to keep up with me from the ground?
Exultant, mind filled with her rider's mingled approval and battle-lust, Zarth was riding high on their temporary success. For now, it seemed, the plan was working; Moriath and Kleos were both forced to act on the defensive.

D'ei - Attacking Kleos

Dodge: 1d10
V'ell and others stabbed at the thrashing crimson. D'ei, small, unwilling to actually stab a dragon, darted around the scarred red hide. She pulled out her belt knife, hand tight around it, and dove at the blonde Wingleader.

E'lov- Attacking Kleos
He had been slightly surprised when D'ei had joined them, but was rather glad to see her, and her dragon. They could use the help, as Kleos was a bit more than he had expected to have to face.
He was going to have to do some serious fighting training once this was all over.
E'lov grinned, and then slashed, noticing a small opening.
E'lov- 30/30

His first attack hadn't been very good, and he swooped around for a second shot at the crimson. He wasn't the most intimidating of fighters, but there was no reason why he should not be at least attempting to do his best.

Harmony cried out and staggered back under the force of the blows. Bolstered by her wher's presence however she found it in herself to make another slash with her knife. Kill the wingleader, that was why they have come here. Bring her back alive, or bring her head. "b***h," she rasped as she stabbed, "we'll hang your head over Benden to rot!"

As their own dragons swooped in to deal with the crimson, Ralla continued to focus on Kleos. Hopefully, with her dragon occuppied and unable to help her, they'd actually do some damage.

Firith had been waiting for this! Another fight, another chance to prove what she could do; a bronze would have been better, but the crimson still belonged to a wingleader, so it was still a worthy target. It took her longer than she'd have liked to find an opening to make her own attack - with Zarth, Magith, and Lycath all trying to get a piece of the action as well - but finally she swooped in to give Moriath a taste of her claws.

The reinforcements had her worried, seriously worried. Where was her back up? with no sign of it in sight Kleos sprang back, away from her enemies. At the same moment Moriath swept a wing down, hiding the wingleader from view for a moment. When the crimson lifted her pinion again Kleos was rushing towards Harmony, lunging with her knife and then spinning around to spring at Ralla with another vicious strike.

As the wherholders continued their assault Moriath snarled, forced on the defensive on her rider's behalf and on her own. Blades were driven deep into her legs, talons tore at her back and haunches and a brown's teeth caught at her shoulder. With clever twists and turns she avoided the worst of it, but the damage she did take was still bad. Green ichor flowed freely over her red hide, and grey began to enter her eyes along with enraged red-orange. Note- Dragons whose riders are KOd may attempt to escape with them with a Run For the Hills roll (65+ on d100). If they fail you can assume they can't reach their rider, are having trouble taking off with all the cover, or similar. - Human characters conscious: 5/6 - PCs have until Friday 11:59pm GMT to complete this mission. At this point large numbers of reinforcements will appear, and PCs will have to roll in order to escape!

Okay, that hurt. Possibly a lot, but she wasn't going to admit it. Ralla just gritted her teeth and stabbed at the wingleader in retaliation. This wasn't looking so good on their side - which she couldn't help but think was completely ridiculous, given how many of them there were - but maybe the dragons would have better luck.
