Cora wanted so badly to actually argue with Tonio. They could take him, she knew it. All they have to do is help him. The only reason she hadn't was the headbutt to her side. Looking down at Fluffy, she shakes her head as she kneels down in front of him. Placing her hand on his cheek, she tries to chuckle but it came out like a sniffle as the tears feel,
Leaning forward, she rest her forehead against his as she nods "You be good okay? Go find Tavast, tell him I said thank you." pressing a small kiss to his forehead, she gives him a brief hug before she pulls away to pull off her jacket and wrap it around his shoulder. She didn't need it, and it would only weigh her down.
Standing slowly, she moves towards Tonio, and gives his hand a squeeze. Without a word, she press her lips to his before pulling back "I love you, you jerk." with that, she drove in, and swam as fast as she could towards the ship.

Oh great a monster had shown up. And worse yet, others had brought one with them.
Eyes widening, he took a step back, keeping a hand on his gun should it decide to try and tear out his throat.
"You realize you got one of those monsters tailing you, right?"
Fluffy reminded him of one of those shy, smart kids. They'd never talk, but they'd just look at you and they said more without saying anything than some people said while talking nonstop. He had a feeling he, himself, fell into that latter group.
From what he could tell, there must've been something scary in the water. No idea what. But it was enough to let him know that he'd be signing his suicide note if he chose to swim after that boat.
He still had that snake to worry about. He didn't think it was dead, yet. Now, that he thought about it, perhaps this was traumatizing to Fluffy. It's not every day a Cerberus boy sees a twenty-something man run over a monster snake with a four-wheeler. "Was the snake a friend of yours, Fluffy? Because I'm sorry. He was trying to eat me. So, yeah. I think the snake is still alive, though. Yes."

The man watched the exchange between Cora and Fluffy, silent as ever but maybe smiling just a little. After Cora had parted from the creature he reached out and gave it's ear a ruffle. So maybe he would miss Fluffy just a little but that could be their secret. Letting go he turned back to Cora only to blink at how close she had gotten within a few seconds. The surprise kiss caught him off guard much like their first, but again he just smiled and pressed back into it before the woman pulled away.
"You too..." He sighed after her, watching as she hit the water and took off. A little dazed from the kiss he jumped without looking back down and right into the open mouth of the not so adorable Kraken.
Cora was a good range out when she finally stops long enough to glance back, trying to catch her breath as she looks around. Wait, Tonio wasn't swimming after her? Taking a big gulp of breath, she drops under the water to see if he maybe decide to swim under just to scare her.
Only problem was, what she did see scared her.
NOOOO!
Breaking the surface, she kicks as she felt something wrap around her leg. Soon another had her around the waist before she was pulled under by the tentacles of the Kraken.

He looked up tearfully at the woman as she seemed to have made up her mind. She was going, that's what those words said. She was sending him back to Tavast again, just like last time. That was how humans abandoned things? Or well... no she was trying to do what was best for both. She went to humans, he went to creatures. That was best. Even if she seemed sad as she kissed his forehead, a weak wag of his tail offered. He wanted to root her on, for her to do well. She'd be happier there, they both would. But the knot in his stomach told him he saw this before. He saw the kraken take things away before. He'd seen her go under before his eyes after that explosion.
And now... now it could happen again. No it did. He froze as he walked slowly after them, ignoring the man's comment about him. He wasn't hurting anyone it was fine. A few wobbly steps as he paused at the edge where the man had vanished. As soon as he hit the water one never came up, he looked down to see the things long arms slinking away below the surface. Tonio was taken by it, and now...
And now...
Fluffy's breath seemed to freeze as he looked in the direction it was going, a whimper escaped him as he saw the inevitable once again. Don't stop, don't look... maybe if she swam fast, kept going she'd....
He could only watch in horror again, shaking a bit as he saw her turn and notice that the other human was gone. Humans tended not to do well when they saw that, but the real problem... the real problem was it gave it time. Not more than a few seconds later she bobbed briefly underwater, then back up... And then one more she vanished below the waves. This time she didn't appear again.
[Nonononononono I told you no...} A pathetic whine was issued as he shifted his weight uncertain, and then he quickly jumped in after them, swimming along as far as he could. The world seemed to get cloudy quickly though, the many scratches, bites, and wounds from earlier reopening after he hit the water. And holy goodness did salt water sting. It didn't help he had not idea how to swim in the foreign form either as he tried to fight against the water feebly. It was too late, far too late.
She'd already gone under, but he wanted to think maybe he could stop it.
Sadly, it was no good. He couldn't swim properly like this, not when he could barely stand or walk. He found a wave whacking him against the dock before he was swept around and back near the shore, washing up on it somewhat numb. He was bleeding badly, but what really hurt was knowing that nothing... none of them made it. He couldn't do a single thing. Even when they were nice, even when they wanted to help. He couldn't help any of them and they all died.
Humans really were too fragile. But at least this time he could cry while he sat on the beach, something he'd been denied the last three times... at least this time he had that at least.

In the distance, the sound of a helicopter can be heard. It grows in volume as it's joined by another, and then another. Eventually a good dozen are circling the perimeter of the island. Soon a soft blue glow surrounds the park.

Well... it looked like the new monster wasn't actually attacking anyone. Hawkeye eyed it warily, then looked out to see some people begin to swim. At some point the two of them went under the surface, then never came back up.
He was rather reluctant to try crossing now.
Squinting, he could see some helicopters beginning to approach. A lot of them.
"The calvery? Has it arrived?" he blinked. That was a lot of helicopters. They were a little late, considering how many people have died but.. better late than never right?

Steve looked up from his flower when he heard the cries of Fluffy. The shadow creature walked over to the humanoid dog and patted him on the head while holding out his flower to him with a coo. He completely ignored the human and the helicopters.

Sadly, Fluffy was a bit too heartbroken at the moment to really even realize something was offered to him. He'd merely curled up as tightly as he could, a bit thankful he'd had the sense to tight the blanket around his neck. Having it, wet as it was, made it easier to try and curl up and hide away from the world. To make it all go away.
They could be friends. Humans and them... the monsters. They could get along. If he could get along with them, why couldn't they all? Why did the kraken have to eat everyone and make them go away... why did it have to make people hurt? He buried his head under the blanket, using his strange arms to try and cover the wet mop of hair and his face. [Why do they all die?] He hadn't even realized there was a creature near him until he heard the noise, briefly peeking out from behind his cover of arm and blanket to see the flower.
Then promptly ducking back in again. It wasn't them, he'd hoped in some small illogical part of his mind it would be, but no... they were gone. Really gone.
...would it have been better if he'd left them? He'd asked Tavast... he'd asked if perhaps he shouldn't follow. And then he made another stupid decision. To follow and risk attachment to something far to fragile. Far to easy to snap in half with an accidental slip. ...just... they were made a glass compared to him. [Can you explain why they die..?] If he couldn't, if he couldn't make things better again. Then that person with the flower wasn't much good at the moment. Fluffy just wanted to be alone... he didn't want to deal with anyone that could be taken from him at the moment.

Steve tilted his head, kept patting Fluffy and cooing. {I heard a handler a while back say humans go to a better place when they go.} The Enderman didn't understand it nor did he understand Fluffy's feelings for the humans. But that didn't stop hi from trying to comfort.

The blue glow increases until suddenly a shockwave hits the island, hitting both creature and human alike. Another shockwave soon follows! Those who survive the blasts, witness streaks of light shooting from the helicopters, striking down creatures with terrible accuracy!

Everyone on the island loses 20 hp! Creatures, roll 1d100! If you roll less than 50 you have been sniped and dissipate immediately!
Suddenly a shockwave happens and Steve cries out at the hit but just after that gets hit by something and dissipates.

Fluffy didn't realize there was even a bright light as he lay there, he didn't pay much attention to the pats on his head. He just suddenly felt it as the world shook, tearing itself apart and him with it.
He'd been hurting so much as it was. What was a little more? At least now he didn't have to think about it any longer?
And with that, the small puppy-like child seemed to vanish from where he'd been on the beach. Leaving behind just the blanket.

This was a lot to take in. Adam had just seen two people he was just with straight up die. There was no fanfare. No drama. No nothing. They were just gone. Dead.

He couldn't find the right word for it. But it felt like he had to do something for them. So, they wouldn't've died in vain. But he couldn't. What could be done? Other than trying his darnedest to live, that is.
Then, helicopters appeared. He was actually excited. He thought it was good news. That was before they started up the indiscriminate sniping. He didn't think these were heroes. He thought they were janitors cleaning up a mess.
Fluffy had been killed and he was on death's door, himself.
Worst day ever.
