She let out a gasp, her wing getting pinned under her before she had a chance to realize what was going on. Her legs kicked out and she struggled to right herself with his help.

He backed off, trying to avoid her flailing claws. What use was it really? Was she strong enough to get home?

Finally she was on her knees, and she cried out in relief. Surely she could get up from here. She glanced over at the angeni and carefully tried to stand.
She got to her feet, but it was obvious she was too weak to do much else.

He stood there, watching her. She was weak but he couldn't very well take her home and nurse her back to health.
Aware of how risky it was, he glanced back at Auster.
