Well that was disturbing. Still less competition for her own herd so that wasn’t too bad. The rest was just a confusion mess. Huffing she leaned her head down and whispered to him so her breath was touching him. “Does your body respond to me being near? Your heart increasing just so, your eyes wanting to stray to watching me move? Not knowing what to say to me? The desire to keep harm from coming to me?” She pulled back feeling smug opinions he couldn’t do but his body reaction would. Still he did say that she wasn’t repugnant which was good for him because if he had injured or not she would have used that streght she had against the nameless male to pound Itzal into the ground.

Muscles automatically bunched, as in response to an enemy threat. The pain from the reaction tainted his tranquil expression. "Don't. You'll make me... wake up..." Distressed. He couldn't become distressed while sleeping. If he did, he'd wake up. And if he woke up...
"I react... the same to everyone. With almost... no exceptions..."

Waking him up would make him boring again. Still talking to him like this got her no where. Rolling her eyes she moved to the spot Nocturne had left and lay down herself. “That’s pretty sad. You’ll never find a good mare to bear you young that way. When a mare asks if you think she’s pretty the answer is yes. Even if she’s not, even if you don’t like her the answer is always yes.” She might as well catch some sleep her self before leaving to see her father again.

That got a bitter laugh out of the sleeping stallion. "What mare would want me? I'm too sane for the psychotics and too psychotic and uncaring for everyone else." Shifting so that his back was towards Aleda, he added in a mumble, "I can't even be a monster right..." No one wanted a demon with a conscience. No one wanted an apath with a no-filter mouth either. But those were the only two versions of himself that functioned, so that's what the world got: I hybrid of 'I don't care' and 'I'm going to kill you all.' And he hated every minute of it.

That little pitty party made Aleda look at him quietly for a moment. “You know you’re not half bad to look at and the fact is you did save me which makes me rather partial to you. That psychotic side was in the fight right? Pretty viscous but as long as it’s not at me I wouldn’t care. So just find a mare like me who doesn’t care as long as it’s not directed at her. That protective side can be valued and the psychotic too then. Who needs a monster when a shield like you is so much better?” She snorted softly. “Sounds like you have some silly ideas of what you should be.”

"That fight was... only the tip of the iceberg. I guess you could see it as being rusty... before today I hadn't had an episode in three months..." It had been such a blissfully uneventful time... Itzal snorted. "I could search a thousand years and not find another mare like you. Besides, I can't control it. If I could, I wouldn't call it my psychotic side." The last comment made him go quiet. The silence hung in the air for a few moments before he finally spoke again, this time much more quietly. "... If your mother was murdered by the people who raised you, you would have strange ideas too."

So that was him rusty? Would he have won had he kept in shape? An interesting thought maybe she should let him meet her dad. “Well you did, didn’t you? You found me. Or rather I found you really since you would have just walked away~” Her tone was teasing. She hummed. “Well my dad is responsible for deaths and my mother trampled humans to death who got in her way despite being a ‘kings’ azerin. Her own parents drove her out for some reason or another. So as for strange thoughts I suppose I have them too. It has noting to do with murders though it’s just how I was raised. How you were would give anyone such thoughts it’s finding an outlet so they don’t consume you that’s the trick.

Apparently her teasing worked; Itzal cracked a smile at her comment. "... There's a difference. Your parents kill to remove obstacles. My foster parents killed for pleasure. I... have no real reason. The only thing that even resembles a reason is my... cancerous hatred." He paused, trying to maintain the unstressed, sleeping state. "... They killed my outlet. And I've been consumed by those thoughts... for a long time."

She wasn’t so sure of that. Her dad did love to beat others just for fun. To the point of death she wasn’t sure but if given the chance she figured it was a line her dad just might cross. “Well you have a lot of bad crap that happened to you so it makes sense you’re a bit cracked. In time that might heal or maybe never. It really depends on how you wanna deal with it, but just bottling it all up until it spills over really isn’t the way to handle it. The outbursts will just get worse and more unpredictable. Well maybe. I think of anger as a river and you’ve just damned it all up. The river builds up makes a lake but after a while the dam breaks down and you’re left with these random strong spurts of anger that come out when you don’t want it. You should really find a way to redirect the river so that it goes elsewhere.

"... It's hard to redirect anger elsewhere when it's fueled by hatred... and you hate pretty much everything." Itzal was quiet for a minute or so then spoke up. "So, emotional guru, what do you do when the dam's about to break?" That was the point he was at. Those random spurts of anger were already happening, like earlier. "Besides freezing everything, since that's apparently not a good enough option."

[too tired for post color sorting]
“so then just focus in on things you hate the most. There has to be something. By letting out anger in a safe place or a safe way you can lower the lake and the dam gets less pressure. So tell me what bothers you the most. Losing your family well then make a family and protect them. Those who murdered them? Stop others like them.” She yawned getting fairly tired. “You and Noct are related so why not make up with her and help her solve some of her problems so that you can get some of your old family back or whatever”

"... What bothers me most, huh...? That's not an option." Itzal listened to the rest of her explanation, not saying anything until the end. "... Nocturne won't want my help. Blood brother or not, I'm a stranger to her." She'd see Itzal as an unwanted guest. "Family may be the only thing I don't hate, but we're all strangers now." He paused, then added, "Well... I guess I don't hate you either."

“You never know until you ask. Noct has a mate who is part of the six. He’s an ambitious little pain in the rump so I bet if you helped him out Noct would be happy.. well happy for her. And if you spend time with her then she isn’t a stranger is she? Just make the effort. After all a stranger is just someone you haven’t talked to yet. And you can always get to know your family again.” His words made her feel special. “Aww that’s sweet. You sound like a mate~ Don’t worry I promise to tease you about it a lot just for fun since we’re so close~”

"... I hate the Six. But I guess that would work..." Wait a minute... "Nocturne has a mate?" Itzal sighed at her teasing. "You're impossible. But I guess I am too, so I guess I can't complain too much." He was quiet for a moment, surprisingly... hesitant. "... Were you even remotely serious about that last part?" The part about being close. He was absolutely clueless when it came to relationships--romantic or otherwise--so he really wanted to know. Was their relationship even that of friends?

Well of course it could work. Aleda always had good ideas. “Yeah, Noct has a mate. Me’urra. He and my dad are basically enemies.” She rolled her eyes ignoring his comment about her being impossible. Possible was boring. His question surprised her. “huh? What oh about us being close like mates? Well you did save my life. Mate like. You are resting alone with me in a cave, also surprise mate like. And you feel comfortable around me when you hate everyone else. So yeah I guess we’re as close as mates well without the actual being mates part.” She snorted.
