Eva... Eva what are you thinking now and why...Eva's thoughtful chin rub, the sweet little kiss on the cheek (which distracted him for all of two seconds) and the sudden bolt for the stands again meant one thing. Eva was aiming to kill Otto. Clearly. By the time she returned, his glare was narrow and accusing. "Throw them in the sea." He demanded, pointing dramatically at the water.

"Nope," Eva answered patiently, shuffling behind Otto so that she could drape herself over his back (and essentially keep him in place). Making an attempt to weigh him down, she removed one of the skewers--a full green pepper skewer--from the bag and waved it around in front of the boy's nose.
"They're good for you! Now say 'ah'."
And then she made a valiant attempt at trying to find Otto's mouth from her awkward positioning.

"Why are you doing this to me!?" Otto wailed, trapped by Eva's weight, and the fact he didn't much want to flip his girlfriend over his shoulders. Dakota? Hell yeah he'd toss'em far if the bugger wasn't so tall. But Eva? No... he didn't wanna hurt her. Even in jest. Otto's nose scrunched up as the evil green peper was waved near his mouth. He tried in jain to crank his head backward, but was just met with resistance in the form of Eva's bikini clad body. "Dammit.. I HATE green peppers! They're nasty!" He griped, turning his head to the side and squeezing his eyes shut. Kaiyumi author's note: i accidentally spelled it as ghoulfriend in the first draft of this post. :T

Bottom lip jutting out in a pout, Eva grudgingly put the green pepper skewer back into the bag...only to pull out another one, though this one alternated between meat and pepper. "Okay," She chirped lightly, all innocence, "So diving headfirst into the problem didn't work. Why don't we start easier then?"
Leaned forward even further, she pressed the side of her face against his and cast him a sidelong glance, lashes fluttering. "Just ooooone bite? It's good for you!"Bittiface omg lakfjasd you've discovered Eva's secret--she's actually from Halloween O__O

Otto groaned, pouting right back. Eva was evil. She was using her feminine wiles to make him do things he didn't want to do. And it was working."Fiiine..." Otto grumbled unhappily, begrudgingly taking the stick wth both meat and green pepper. "This is gunna be so nasty..."Otto grimaced as he stared down the skewer, practically able to smell the wretched taste of green pepper just looking at it. With one final huff, he took a bite; one part meat, one part pepper. He made a horribly sour expression as he chewed.

Eva stared at him expectantly as he lifted the food to his mouth, and the expectant look remained as she watched him take a bite. After a moment of watching him chew, she leaned back a little so that she wasn't pushing down on him, lightly resting her head on his shoulder.
"Well?" She piped up suddenly, eyes round and hopeful, "It's not too bad grilled with some meat, right? And you're getting a lot of minerals and vitamins too, like niacin, magnesium, vitamin A--"
Cutting herself off, the girl found her expression becoming a little sheepish as she cleared her throat.
"Ah, sorry, I took a nutrition class back in nursing school. If you reeeeally don't like them..."

Otto continued to chew until his ghastly mouthful became a fine paste. Much like a stubborn child, he took his dear sweet time swallowing it. Green Peppers were the worst. They ruined perfectly good meat with their nastiness. His strained gaze fell to the hopeful girl leaning on his shoulder. She seemed so into this, it was almost cute. If only it weren't involved with green peppers. "You were a nurse?" He asked, not sure if she'd told him before. So much happened around the island, and his memory wasn't always the best. It explained a lot about Eva, though. It was innate for her to be helpful and thoughtful. "Well.. they still taste gross and nasty." He said bluntly, hesitantly taking another one. "But apparently they're good for me." So to make Eva happy, he took another bite. The face he made while chewing was nothing short of hilarious.

The question earned a surprise blink, followed by a smile and a shake of her head. "Not quite, but I got into nursing school and was trying to become one. I didn't get to make it too far into my studies before I got roped into Deus Ex though." And then, as if to show that it didn't bother her so much, Eva gave a casual little shrug of her shoulders. As they had discussed minutes ago, there were things to be grateful for here that they hadn't had at home...
Like Otto, for instance. The girl's expression was fond as she watched the blond grudgingly take another bite, biting down on her bottom lip in an attempt to suppress her grin. Finally, she quietly reached out and took the skewer from him, replacing it with one of the meat ones he had purchased.
"Okay, enough of that. We're out for some fun for the first time in a long time, so for today at least, let's just eat what we want."

"Oh thank God." Otto uttered, swallowing the bitter substance tainting his taste buds. He readily took the All-Meat skewer, taking a large bite from it with a smile. Much better. He seemed to sigh in a Utopia of bliss at the taste of grilled meat, untainted by greens. "Not like I get much better at Deus." Everything there tasted stale, or vile. "They really oughtta step up their food department."He smirked. "Think they'd take us seriously if we made a petition?" He asked, almost in jest, as the sun began to set on the sea.

Resigning herself with an amused sigh, Eva took up the abandoned green pepper skewers and began to munch on them herself, finally removing her full weight from Otto so that she could sit beside him instead. "You hate them that much, huh? ...Though to be fair, I suppose I have my fair share of disliked foods..."
Like, for instance, most of Deus Ex's food. The topic brought a grin to the girl's face, and she wrinkled her nose in distaste as she recalled one of her worse meals. "Right? I mean, I guess so long as it keeps us alive, but..."
But ugh. Sometimes things were okay and actually somewhat tasty, but other times, it was just a train wreck of flavours and mush.
Lifting her brows, the girl laughed and bumped her shoulder against Otto's. "That depends--who are you sending the petition up to? ...Caelius?"

"Is it so weird to have one food you can't stand?" He remarked back, though Eva seemed to understand by this point. He kind of missed the weight of her leaning on him, but didn't mind having the freedom to move. Otto gave Eva a sassy look at her question, raising a brow high. "Sure, if I wanna get my head chopped off. I'm sure it'd go somethin' like..." He then tried to imitate the irritated and pompous look Caelius gave all trainees and hunters. "If you have ample opportunity to waste my time bitching about frivolous things like this, you are obviously not busy enough." It was an okay impression.... if Caelius were from the deep south.

Furrowing her brows in thought, Eva lifting her free hand up to cup her cheek, tilting her head slightly. "Well, I suppose not," She mused, "I mean, I guess I have my own fair share of things that I don't like eating..." Er, a lot of things, actually. Eggplant, peanuts, certain fish...
...Shh, nothing that Otto needed to know.
Despite the fact that the blond's accent was rather pronounced in his imitation, it received the desired effect, earning bright laughter from Eva. "That's him! That's exactly what he'd say! And he'd have this face on too!"
Somehow, she managed to compose herself long enough to screw her face up into the cool, barely contained irritation that was perpetually on Caelius' face. After a few seconds ticked by in silence, she let the expression drop and began laughing again.

"Such as...?" Otto insisted, not letting Eva be the only one with leverage here. Otto's pokerface had to falter as Eva howled with laughter. Soon Otto also smiled and laughed, which only intensified as Eva made an attempt to mimic Caelius's famous sour face. "That's friggin' creepy! Don't do that!" he insisted with more laughter.

Cue the wide-eyed stare that was quickly becoming Eva's trademark look around Otto. "Such as what?" She echoed innocently, head slightly tilted. As if attempting to distract him then, she reached out to gently take his wrist--the one connected to the hand holding his meat skewer--and pushed it up to his mouth. "Keep eating, Puppy!"And it was clear that the girl was proud of herself for her imitation, her face lighting up a little as she got the boy to laugh. Grinning, she gave him a playful nudge and scrunched up her nose. "Not bad, eh? I think I've had to stare at his face for so long that I've committed every scowl to memory."

"You are so full of sh----mmph!" Dammit Eva! Stop winning. Otto reluctantly took a larger bite of meat than he wanted to thanks to Eva's help. Fine, he'd let the subject drop for now. But he had a plan for her now. An evil plan. Otto wiped his mouth with the back of his hand to get any sauce off that had been streaked on thanks to Eva's help, licking his hand clean of the deliciousness. "What a waste of memory space." He commented in jest, giving her a glint filled eye and cheeky grin. "I really needed this." Otto commented after a moment, tossing the skewer back into the bag. "It's been a really good. day."He turned his head and gave Eva a softer, kinder smile. "I'm happy."
