Pasha beamed when others started to enter the strange, dark, and somewhat desolate room she'd been haunting all on her lonesome, wiggling her way over to them like a mouse in a labyrinth. "Hello, hello," She whispered, stopping next to Evan to dust him off a little bit. "You look like you had fun." She remarked with quiet amusement before dancing around him to Ami to smile like the socially retarded creature she was. Even Jason got a peculiar little grin, and Deryk as well.
Stormy was the only one she didn't recognize from the pre-mission meeting. Her head tilted at the fellow Mist trainee, blinking owlishly and nearly mimicking the girls actions before sliding over timidly into the space next to her. The Mist division trainees seemed like the ones to stick next to after all, right? Bros before hoes? Or... something or other?
"Paintings are very wise creations." She hummed, blissfully quiet, which might or might have not had something to do with the fact that she was in one of the coolest places in the world. Even if she was technically... breaking... in.
Gale's voice on the other end made her blink, touching her ear tentatively, as though she'd forgotten he was there. "Everyone seems to have all of their limbs, Gale." She returned musingly, glancing at the gathered party. "Do... you?"
A+ question, Pasha. A+.
Somehow, it seemed obvious that she'd meant to ask if he was alright too. Stressed hunter sounded stressed, after all.

Ami tutted Evan as he came in. "I see you decided to use the vents as well." Except he hadn't been courteous enough to wipe the dust off, so now Pasha was doing it for him. Wasn't that sweet?
Stormy received nothing but an exasperated sigh for her achievements. "So glad you took the time out of your undoubtedly busy day to join us. Sleep in, yet again?" Either way Ami didn't look too impressed. "Fortunately, not much."
She shook her head, not realizing that Gale couldn't see it. "No, not everyone. I still have no visual for Tori." Ami put her hands on her hips and began pacing. "She better not have gotten herself into something." Unfortunately for Tori she seemed more annoyed than worried. Perhaps that was a testament to her belief in the girl's abilities though.
"Give her some time." Ami nodded. "In the mean time, what did you all find? It'll be useful knowledge for when we have to go back out."
Tori’s eyes sparked as Ami has said the magic word as her smile got bigger and she tried hard not to giggle in excitement that they were going to a library to acquire a book that Ami needed and the book also sounded interesting read too. She had Aklin on the other hand sighed and rolling his metaphorical eyes at his hunter but he wasn’t going to complain as a mission was still a mission. He just hoped that she would keep her head in the game instead of what he knew she would do if possible.
With a bounce in her steep Tori followed the others through the portal happy to know that she had been right about the mission and she knew it was going to be hard to keep her mind only on the mission.
Once on the other side Tori looked around the room to see that there were just a room with books and her smile got bigger since she totally wanted to read all the books. Tori had to wonder on how many books were there that she had never read as she walked closer to them and started to pick one of them up.
Aklin shouted at Tori.
Alright, Lin. I’m going.
Tori replied to her weapon as she sighted a little at not even getting to read just one of them and headed out of the room, dragging her feet a little and whining to Aklin a little.
Eyes sparked again to see that she had chanced onto another room with books inside of them. It had to be fate that she was suppose to read at least one of these books in this room since she stumbled across this room. Or at least that was what Tori told herself when walked towards the closest books to pick one of them up.
She had only just touched one of them when Aklin had growled at her very loudly at her. As he was keeping his mind on the mission and she should do the same. Or he was going to totally ask all the questions later and all of them answered no getting out of them.
Tori whined at Aklin louder this time but she did leave the book were it had been sitting and headed out the door to find the others.
This time Tori managed not to find more books again but to where the Codex Gigas was located and to see that everyone else was there waiting for her. Sheepishly she walked quietly towards were the other were waiting. She really couldn’t help her self there were books that weren’t getting read and she totally wanted to read them all! But at least Tori had somewhat resisted in reading all the books or even taking a few of them for reading later on.
“Sorry for the wait,” Tori quietly and sheepishly said to Ami and sheepish smiled too as Ami would know that Tori had indeed found other books that she totally wanted to read or to take along. But she still made it here and without getting into trouble at the very least and sorta resisted the other books too.

Seeing as everyone had made their way inside, Ami gave a sigh of relief. Tori was late, but not absent. No hitches in their plan so far. If everyone had made it in, it meant nobody had been noticed and pendant'd out. Excellent- this was going far better than she'd expected!
Luckily for everyone participating, the museum made no attempt to hide the book. It sat in a large glass case, smack dab in the center of the room, surrounded by other interesting texts from Prague, India, Africa- all sorts of places. Honestly she would've loved to explore them more, had she not had a specific goal to attend to.
That being the locks that sat on the case.
"Gale? I hope you prepared something," Ami muttered. She looked to Deryk, Pasha and Stormy. "Deryk, hack the lock. Pasha, Stormy, you try to figure out the ones on the side." Jake came next. "Jake, check the area for traps. I don't want us to get shot in the middle of working."
Suddenly a shot rang out through the hall. "Like that!" Ami said, ducking behind a bookshelf. "Evan, keep them off of us!"
Unfortunately that didn't leave much for Tori to do.
OOC: SECOND STAGE
gaia_starA large lock sits squarely on the bottom of the case. It doesn't mean it's the only problem in the area though. Everyone has a duty!
If you are Deryk:
gaia_star As a TRAINED ASSASSINO you will work with Gale to decode the master lock. All assassinos can lock pick. Hopefully this one doesn't start ticking ... gaia_star Roll 5d4. This is the lock's code. IE: I roll 13234, the code is 13234 Continue to roll 5d4. You have to match the numbers to the number in the code. AKA: you roll 14342. The first "spot" of the lock's code is unlocked. You then roll 42432. The 2 "spot" is not unlocked, but the 1 "spot" remains unlocked. You have to solve the "spots" in order. Aka if your first roll is 33423 you don't unlock the 2 "spot," you have to do the 1 "spot" first.
gaia_star You have 20 rolls. If you run out, post in ooc bold red as such. If you crack the code before you run out, post that in ooc bold red too.
If you are Jake:
gaia_star You're in charge of checking the area for traps! It might be an innocent library, but you never know what DANGERS LURK IN THE DARK!!
Roll 1d6 to determine how strong the traps you find are and rp the results!
1: No trap in this area, totally safe! 2: This trap has a simple off switch- easy peasy. 3: There is a dart gun loaded into the wall! Luckily you spotted it ahead of time, and disarmed it quickly. +1 useless dart 4: You activated a trip wire! Glitter falls from the ceiling and pours all over you. How embarrassing. 5: There is a dart gun loaded into the wall, but this time you didn't notice. Ouch. -5 hp 6: OH s**t. Suddenly the ground opens up in the hallway to reveal a POOL OF HUNGRY PIRANHAS. Unfortunately, the drain plug is in the middle of the pool, so you'll have to wade through the water to get it. Being a Death hunter is suffering, Jake. -10 hp
You must find or disable 5 traps to declare the area safe! (Roll 5 times~) Once the area is deemed safe, note it in bold red in ooc.
If you are Evan:
gaia_star As a sun, you've got to keep the group safe! Some -mysterious agent- is shooting at the team, and it's up to you to attack him. You never see your assailant, as all you can see is a blurry shadow and a bullet headed towards you!
gaia_star Roll 2d4: - If the first number is higher than the second, you successfully deflected the bullet. It goes flying back at the assailant- a direct hit! - If the first number is lower than the second, you take the bullet WITH YOUR BODY (it bounces off your FEAR shield). You take the dice's amount of damage. If it's a tie, you defended! IE: I roll 4, 3 - I've deflected the bullet! I roll 4, 4 - I've deflected the bullet! I roll 1, 2 - I take 3 damage!
The -mysterious agent's- gun only has 5 bullets. Roll 5 times! Once all his bullets are spent, post in ooc bold red.
If you are Tori:
gaia_star Since Evan is blocking the shots, Ami and Tori now have a moment to breathe. "There's really not much for you to do here Tori," Ami says to you, shrugging rather nonchalantly. "All our work will come when we're back on the island. Why don't you go look at the bookshelves and see if there's something worth taking?"
Upon looking at the bookshelf, doesn't it look ... out of order?
When you think you've figured out the order, post it in bold red. IE: Tori put the books back in the following order: B, J, H, D, K, E, A, I, C, F, L, G

If you are Pasha or Stormy:
gaia_star As the resident MIST HUNTERS OF DOOM you'll need to be flexible. You're in charge of decoding the two minor locks on either side of the case. Wow, this library sure has an in depth security system. You think you hear Ami muttering something about how books are very valuable you imbeciles.

It seemed another hunter had already arrived before him, and he only gave Pasha a nod as he turned to see who else would be arriving. Shortly after was Deryk, then Ami, then that other blond-haired trainee, the latter two seeming... dustier than usual.
Jake made an unpleasant sound in his throat.
And then it seemed Stormy decided to finally show up, at whom he gave a smirk when he saw her gaze linger on his coat. Yes. Guess who just got promoted. Gale's comment was about to receive some sort of witty remark, when it seemed Pasha beat him to the punch, and he only snickered. Excellent question. He approved.
And then the arrival of Tori made him stop, because that meant everyone was here and s**t was about to get real.
Ami's command for him made him stiffen, but he dared not refuse. Even he knew when not to fool around, and getting shot at.... Wait. Did that mean he'd be the one getting shot at instead? Oh hell.
And then a shot made him flinch, and he was off, glad that he wasn't a moon.

Wandering around in the dark REALLY wasn't his idea of an ideal mission, but he guessed it was better than sitting around trying to hack away at a lock while being targeted. He really doubted Chester's totem form would be any use anyways.
What do you THINK I'm-
A small click made him froze, and he barely got out of the way in time as a gun fired, barely missing him, and he wasted no time dispatching of it. Unfortunately, that meant he completely decimated the thing.
The weapons were desummoned and Jake only shrugged. Hey. One less gun to worry about. Freaking guns.
Walking over to where the dart landed, he picked it up, and left for another area.

After wandering for a while in another area, he was about to conclude it as safe, when the ground beneath him suddenly caved and he found himself falling into water (why did this seem vaguely familiar...).
... and then he found himself surrounded by a school of piranha Luckily, his FEAR shield managed to protect him from most of the damage as he waded towards the middle of the pool to pull out the damn plug.

Jake was grumbling, wringing out his coat as he left a wet trail behind him. Why the f**k does a library even HAVE that kind of thing?
<...Jake, stop.> He paused as he arrived at a corridor, with pocket-holes in the wall and a really obvious switch beside it.
Grumbling, he pulled the switch off... and decided to destroy it too for good measure before moving on.

Jake returned to the group, soaking wet, with 2 darts in his hand. "Disarmed the traps." he muttered. If anyone's gaze lingered on him long enough, he gave them an irritable look, as if to say "Don't ask".

Stormy had the mind to gain a slight flush to her cheeks. "Getting better," she mumbled in response to Ami, though she still did a salute as she had before. "Reporting for duty, Cap'n. Promise not to let you down, sir ma'am sir!" And if she did, she'd just . . . crawl back into her dorm and try not to look awfully guilty about it.
At least she wasn't the only one late! Tori got a shy little wave of her fingers. "Cap'n's nice even if she doesn't act like it," Stormy remarked as a matter of factly. "She even wrote me a cute note since I was super late~" It was going to go on her wall. No, seriously.
"If he doesn't, I did talk to him about being a cyborg," Stormy added most seriously to Pasha. "He did have a gimp hand a while back . . ." Although maybe it got better? Hopefully. Stormy yawned and stretched her arms as Pasha drew near. "Very very wise," the trainee agreed softly. "Decades and decades of being stared at, windows are the eyes to the soul, therefore paintings have the souls of a million people captured . . . well a million and one counting the original painter, and counting . . ."
Wait right mission yes. And it seemed the Mist pair had . . . oh hello there! Stormy smiled at the lock and tapped her chin thoughtfully. Sure there was a guy shooting real bullets at them, and each one made her flinch and whine, she tried her best not to let it get to her. Don't let guns get to her, don't let guns, don't let . . .
No, she wasn't trembling as she worked, nope nope.
It took awhile, but soon everyone was there. Taking in a deep breath, Deryk nodded to Ami as she instructed him to take care of the lock. Right. With luck, this one won't be rigged with a bomb...
The Death intermediate cracked his knuckles, then looked over the lock piece. It seemed to be a simple enough device. But without any additional equipment to aid him in this, it could be a little tedious to break through.
