[ Open Discussion] Lucky had been gradually growing a little concern from his perch in the little round table of sorts. Everyone seemed really serious about this.
"But... if murderer leaves by door that pushes body, body would already be push," he pantomimed with both hands, "out of way, no? How close felt body to door?"

Why anyone would call Cael to the stand was anyone's guess as far as Rep was concerned, he didn't expect the Death leader to co-operate and he seemed to have no intention of it, short of confirming that something was planned and that he was part of the council, there wasn't a huge amount that surprised the redhead. If it had been Circe that killed all those people and the Death hunter had been the one involved, he wasn't sure he wanted to know about it. He was happy just to handwave that one past. People died, s**t happened.
He had been listening intently to what people had to say regarding the murder and found that the more they discussed the more things seemed to grow convoluted. He hadn't considered that Circe could be handed off to people.
"That monster thing took Circe to open the portals and s**t. Allan can open portals. Can anyone else?" he mused aloud. Because otherwise there was the fact that there was a good chance the majority were divided during the whole haunted house incident, the portals went down, wether it was some kind of alibi or simple interference was anyone's guess. It meant it narrowed the pool of potential people down to whoever was on the island. Assuming, maybe that it happened at that point rather than before or after.
He rubbed his temples, what a ******** ******** style="color: red">"And as far as portals too, on the house mission who was manning them?" Mark was an obvious suspect as far as running portals, he remembered seeing him in the house looking stressed. "Mark and who?"

[ Open Discussion] "Umm.. it opened part way before it hit.. I think?" Otto replied, finding it hard to really grab much details he remembered. "Like.. a hand kinda flopped over when we hit the body. It's pretty damn possible it was far enough away for a door escape. I don't recall enough to say."

Open discussionCael coming up didn't really help with a whole lot. It seemed like the Death lead was pretty busy with something. Then again, there wasn't really anything new there. As Gale spoke up, Deryk thought things over some more. He did have a point on a few fronts. And then Rep brought up the portals. Hm.. Allan and Cael were for sure. This was true. "Are all leads able to make portals?"They had two out of the five after all who had done so. Perhaps the rest were capable as well.

This was getting way too complicated for the ex-music teacher to handle. Jerry pursed his lips, trying to digest everything, although it just made his headache worse. His gut told him one thing, though, and he glanced to H briefly. The man had never LIED to him, but who was to say anyone else wasn't? " How do we know Lance wasn't lying? Or told to lie. Someone might have been pulling strings."

Open DiscussionLeon was simply watching the debate go round in circles, literally. If it wasn't about something so peculiar , he was sure to be in a similar state as Mark, knocked out but hopefully without the crude drawing of penises on his face. The battle of wits kept his head turned, talk about motive and what weapon could have potentially been used, the range of topics was vast, and slowly refining itself to a single subject. It was time to take a deep breath and jump into the fray. "Opportunity is a hard way to pin it down Deryk. The details behind teleporting is not exactly common knowledge to us, for all we know someone could pop off the battlefield, do something heinous and pop right back and create an alibi easy peasy." he concluded, letting the statement hang in the air before clasping his hands together in a thoughtful gesture. "What I want to know is what happened to all of the already collected evidence, where are the security tapes?" seriously, it was like working with half a deck, little evidence and mere theories was only speculation and conjecture and could be easily refuted by anyone higher than them. The life hunter knew what they all needed was hard, concrete empirical evidence.

Open discussionDeryk frowned at the point Jerry brought up. In which case Lance may not be the murderer, but just assisted in some way. Whether it was really willingly was another question. He glanced at the man in the wheelchair again. Maybe someone threatened him? In some way? And what Leon said to him was yet another good point. They didn't know who else could simply rip open a portal to do this sort of thing. It really could have happened just about any time. "Not so sure we have enough... information on anything to really come to real conclusions.."

"A circular argument," Gale murmured, his eyes tracing the lines of the table they all currently sat it. Going nowhere fast, are we? It's why I never understood the concept of track and field.
You run as fast as you can and you only wind up back where you started.
"We don't really have anything," said Gale in agreement, with a sideways glance at Leon and Deryk. "It's like we're going one step forward and two steps back with each piece of evidence. What we need is something solid, something concrete, and there is precious little of that."
His eyes found Jerry's. "Anyone - and everyone - is capable of lying, unfortunately, which means Lance could very well be concealing something."
Gale's stomach gave a little twist at that thought, but he pushed it away quickly, swallowing back any sort of emotion. Focus.
"Basically, we have next to nothing right now."

[ OPEN DISCUSSION ] Melvin had been quiet for the most part, listening as everyone else added to the discussion on what was happening and the higher ups really giving on information. Whatever had brought them here in the room in the first place, they weren't feeling obligated to clear up any information. Just that they didn't want to hear them being accused in any way. Seemed they could judge but not be judged. Melvin was more concerned who this "O" person was and how they managed to start this trial and get the leads here to begin with. Wouldn't someone who started this investigation know a lot more than them and wouldn't said person also be the enemy of the members now being accused?
He wondered about a few things before asking "Did anyone else talk to Professor H? When I spoke to him, he stated that if I wanted to talk about the incident that I might get harmed. That "my head would get chopped off" if I kept asking. Someone who felt that something that was so neatly explained and had nothing dangerous in investigating would warn about any potential threat. It just means that Professor H at least knows something about the incident that would be considered dangerous."

Marcus finally spoke up. " Lance was out of commission as far as the videos go. He actually had Cass take over the video feeds around that time. But I'm not sure at what point exactly she took that on." He folded his arm, wondering why he'd bothered being here. ---------------------- Solia mused, thinking out loud. "Now that I think about it, Dwight was pretty fishy. He said the leads had reviewed the videos, and acted kind of jumpy, not like the guy I've seen on twitter. Said it was out of his hands, and thought the case was closed. Ran off even after I asked him the questions!"

[ Open Discussion] Lucky looked around at the superior officers behind their desks, each more bored than the last. "And him!" Lucky pointed dramatically at Simon. How could he not recognize the guy who had chased him out at gunpoint? "I just vant to ask question and he vas TRYING TO KILL ME! Does that sound like reaction of innocent man? No."Then again, he wasn't dead. Then again, Lucky was still clinging to the belief that this was a mock trial.

Regardless of that, he agreed that H seemed to know something about the whole ordeal. That guy gave him some serious bad vibes when he tried to speak with him. "Simon m-might know something too. Think he wanted to shoot me too for asking questions.."He shot a nervous glance towards the Sun assist. So he tried to shoot more than one person? As far as Dwight went, he wasn't really sure. Deryk wasn't really familiar with the guy so he didn't have any further input as far as that went.

Solia's comment got Rep's attention because there really was very little he liked quite as much as trolling Dwight. Maybe this would be his time to finally get rid of the guy for good, whether he did s**t or not.
He set his jaw adamantly but replied."If there was surveillance footage editing to be done, Dwight would probably be the one to do it. If he knew about video reviewing that's a good point in that direction. What the ******** else was he doing that mission? I didn't see him there. " At least. He didn't think he had. It probably wouldn't do him any favours to mention he hadn't known what Dwight actually looked like until after his promotion.
Lucky got a grin though. "Simon tries to kill everyone, all the time. Its not out of place for him."

"Looks like I wasn't the only one being used for target practice by Simon." he said with a dry, bitter laugh. It was not cool Simon. "is it just the way he is, or is he hiding something? Hey Suns, do you know?" taking the chance to just ask those members directly. "Whats the Deal with Simon's temperance?"
