((Killzone's grave))

That note he got was a little unnerving. Don't trust anyone. It really stressed that, didn't it? It was kind of paranoid to think in that way, but... he really had no clue who the killer could be. Well. The only people who weren't suspects were the trainees that had not awaken until after the incident happened. That still didn't rule out too many people though.

He wasn't sure what it was, but he somehow found himself wandering to where Killzone's marker was.

The guy had died prior to the incident, so he obviously was innocent too. Not that they could do anything about it even if he was somehow the killer. Deryk let out a heavy sigh as he stared down.

"Don't suppose you know huh?" he murmured. It was more or less him thinking out loud, but too his surprise, the blooms around the grave seemed to be spelling something out. Before he could really read it though, they were shifted about by the wind.

That... was probably just his mind playing tricks on him anyway.

After a bit more wandering, Deryk chanced upon a group of hunters conversing. And well, the first thing he heard was Ryan bringing up the murder of the council. Hm. This may be a good chance to potentially get some information out of others. Granted, he wasn't so sure if they would know anything.

It couldn't hurt though.. right?

Rather than ask anything right away, he just sort of slunk into the group to try and listen.

[ Hallway in front of Library ]

"Well what about you!?" Ami retorted. She didn't like being accused. "What do you know about it?"

Then Ryan- the eyesore- approached. "No. I don't. I know absolutely nothing. I just sit here and suck my thumb all day." She was getting a little snappy oops.

She noticed Deryk and her eyes lit up. "Oh- Deryk- I have something to discuss with you later ..."

Well that ruled Solia out. He knew she was a newer hunter, but he wasn't aware how new she was until she answered Ami's question.

"Sorry, I only murder people on Saturdays." He added sarcastically to Solia's equally sarcastic question.

Ah there it was. That snarky tone. He kind of expected it, but still.

"Jeez. All I did was ask. What is your problem anyways, you on the rag or something?" He still couldn't figure out what exactly he had done to upset Ami. But to be honest, her attitude towards him was starting to get just a little tiresome. "I'm not accusing you or anything and since you normally have a good idea of whats going on around here, I figured I'd ask. But if you're incapable for asking a simple question, then fine. I'll ask elsewhere."

He crossed his arms over his chest and gave her an equally sour look. "Now are you going to talk to me, or are you going continue biting my head of--" He turned, following the direction she was looking in and spotted Deryk.

"Hi Deryk."

"Mine are gauntlets." He answered. Which, he supposed if he kept at it for a few hours, he could leave a decent sized scratch on the table. Otherwise, probably not a weapon that matched the description.

"What's yours?" To be honest, he had never really been around Deryk during a fight. Or at least, he had never paid any attention to what his weapon was during such a time. But given that this was Deryk, he had his doubts that he had any part in the murder.

Saya hated questioning Charlotte.

And she had very conclusive evidence that Charlotte did not do it.

It was called absolute faith.

Miss Edith was good indeed and she was less scarier than Sam.

But judgement was a cruel thing.

"And so, sir, I've heard some rumors and I'm just trying to find out more about the entire situation. Sir."

Tuck didn't like the way the Sun assist was looking at him. He fidgeted slightly. Tried to smile, came across as looking half-deranged.

Herryk was giggling.

Simon's expression didn't change as the man calmly drew his weapon and took aim.

Tuck spun on his heel and ran from the room. He wasn't good at this whole "life choices" thing, obviously.

Herryk's giggles had turned into all-out booms of laughter. Tuck wasn't nearly so amused.
