Astra looked down at the teen and questioningly looked at her "following...you?" She asked, wondering what this strange Angelic Pae was on about "I am following everyone" she said gesturing towards the others "I apologize if I have upset you in some way but I didn't even see you" she said to the Angelic as she wondered why she was being interrogated when she looked back to see who was calling out and noticed the other was speaking to her "hi, yes, I am heading to the cave" she said as she stopped so the other could catch up to her. "Though I have a rather strange angelic Pae in my way at the moment" she said gesturing to the teen Angelic "she is wondering why I am following her when I am basically just following everyone else, know how to deal with teen Angels who think you are someone suspicious?" She asked the other curiously.

((Done both replies in the same post, I thought it may be a bit easier if we three RPed together since you both wish to interact with Astra.))

Eligor helped Alethea from the teleport pad, staying by her side throughout the missing briefing and instructions. After that, the Squires headed out, lead by Hania and leaving Katya to be their lone scout in the air. The rest were to travel on foot, eh? Well, that was good for Alethea's sake, he supposed, even if it would take the group as a whole longer to reach their destination.

The other Squires seemed to either split off by themselves, or in pairs, but all remaining within shouting distance of the Grand Master. "Well, guess that means we move out. Suppose we could stick together if you'd like? Never know what we might find along the way."

Alethea smiled sweetly at her own personal knight-in-shining armor. "Thank you, I think if we pair up, we could do better recon. Two sets of eyes and all. And provide back-up in case of ... trouble-" her voice trailed off as she looked towards Lailah. Even though she'd broken away from the group, Lailah was still in ear shot, and she had found a shouting faerie. Alethea turned to Eligor and leaned towards his ear to whisper. "How would that faerie know of this cave? Are we walking into a trap?"

She stopped, tugging on Eligor's arm. "I don't feel right about this anymore."

Lailah sneered, pulling back into a defensive stance only as a second Fae seemed to emerge from nowhere. It was hard to get the drop on the blood-stained angel without her noticing. She blamed the first suspicious Fae. "Yes, following me," she shot back pointedly. Everyone? Had she seen the other Squires? But...there was no one around at the teleport pad when they'd arrived, and they'd split up so as not to be conspicuous!

Sabotage? Had they been betrayed?

The Squire was far from satisfied by her answer, and when the second Fae agreed with her story, Lailah was almost struck dumb. She could swear her jaw was hanging open for a moment. They were...going to the cave?!? How did they even know about the cave? Unless they WERE spies; agents of the heretics, sent here as saboteurs to stop the faithful from their duties! The thought made her blood boil and only through her training to be a Knight, did Lailah keep her dark urges to silence these traitors in check.

But the more the Fae talked, the harder it was for Lailah to ignore the infuriating words coming from her mouth. Having had enough of this woman, Lailah pointedly stepped in front of the festive Fae, ignoring the other now. "Yes, first of all, you stop pretending she's not standing right in front of you while you talk about her as if she's not there!" She gritted her teeth, fingers twitching, wanting so badly to go for her knives. "Second, maybe you explain exactly WHY you're acting so suspicious in the first place and how you know things you shouldn't..." Lowering her voice now, she let her eyes dart from one to the other. "Now...how about you explain to me again where you're going. And why."

It had been so long since someone other than one of her children had hugged her, Takeko didn't know how to respond at first. She just sort of...froze, not scared, not upset, just...confused. Blinking, the tears caught by her eyelashes flicked away by the action, landing on her cheeks and Texas' shoulder. Why...?

Had it really been so long that she didn't know how it felt anymore? To be held by someone other than her children. Someone outside her home. Because they cared?

Had it been so long since she'd been able to let her barriers down?

Had it been so long since she'd had a friend?

She gave in and dropped the basket by her feet, surrendering and for once, allowing herself to be comforted instead. She leaned against the taller demon, her head only reaching his shoulder, but she hid her face and cried. It wasn't a loud, dramatic, or showy display. She simply held on tightly...and let the tears flow.

His words were...oddly comforting. They weren't the blind, sugar-coated promises that most gave when trying to comfort one in pain. They were honest. But that honesty was refreshing and exactly what she needed right now. She'd been in denial for so long, telling herself that they got delayed, held up at Ivy's, that they'd be home when they could. It was only now that she was being honest with herself that she could even start to grieve. Embrace the pain, so that she could start to heal. She'd already decided what it was that she wanted to do. The last step was the decision to just do it. But for now, she'd welcome comfort from a friend as she wept.

She wept for her mate. She wept for her daughter. And, she wept for her little, sweet Fae baby, wherever he may have ended up, whatever fate he'd had... Without even realizing why, she started whispering, "I'm sorry, Texas. You'd think...that I'd have learned how to deal by now. I...I know...it's still fresh now, but I just thought...it'd been so many years since...since...they're not...not the first...I've lost, not knowing what happened to them..."

She took a deep breath, pulling back to compose herself, starting to speak, "I--" About that time, a piercing scream cut through the air, shattering the peace of the forest. The angel actually jumped, subconsciously drawing closer to Texas again as she looked around in alarm. "W-what...or who was that?"

Before her husband could properly reply to her, however, a voice appeared from behind, Her ears flicking, the princess turned quickly around to see the familiar, yellow body of the fey she had met a little while ago. How many weeks ago was it? One...? Two...? No matter; the timing of then was no matter, the timing now was. Why was she here, as well as her husband, on her search? It was strange... She hadn't noticed really any others on her flight, yet here were two, seemingly out of nowhere.

Oh well, best to act like nothing was the matter. That's how she always handled these sort of situations, anyways. "Afternoon Coronus," she replied calmly, with a friendly tone. Talking with her husband about his situation would have to wait for a moment. "Have the other times been good to you?"

Moments after her question, a very, very bad aura seemed to rush over her, sending jolts of 'electricity' up her fingertips and back. She looked towards the source, in the direction of the cave, and the smile faded slowly from her face. Something was wrong... This feeling... Why had it appeared so suddenly? So unnaturally? It made her wings wish to take off and abandon the search the spirits had put her on, but her mind found it to be a curious thing, in need of investigation.

Her gaze still in the direction of the maze, Celestia said softly, barely above a whisper, to nobody in particular, "Evil comes from that direction..."

Emerging from a brush, Twinkleshine just about screamed for joy as she noticed another pae in the forest, one that didn't seem quite as lost as her. Actually, there were quite a few of them, all with wings on their backs like the pegasai, and like Adamm and his family. Aha! So there were angels here! Why were there so many angels, and why were they going for a stroll in the forest...? No, it didn't matter! She was saved, saved at long last!

Running, or more like hobbling with how tired and clumsy the overgrown vegetation made her, she approached a green one walking near the back. She tried to get his attention as she did so, calling, "Hey! Can you help me?! I'm lost!"

Nyx sighed as she watched the angry Angel and wondered what in the world her mother had gotten her in to this time. "No not really I have a toddler at home right now who is really cute. Do you want to see I have pictures. But she does get cranky when she hungry, you think she would like a sandwich or a cookie?" She said as she started to go though her pack that she had over her shoulder and pulled out some sandwiches and other food items. She shrugged she did not like the idea of being interrogated by the young angel.
"If you think we are suspicious you really should not meet my mom she is by doubt the most suspicious pae you would ever meet. And she is the reason that I am going to the cave."she said in a playful tone but then she turned serous.
"But the real question is why should we be answering the questions of yours because from what I last understood this is not a off limits. Because if I was to look at this situation I would say the most suspicious one of the 3 of us would be you angel." she said pointing at the teen. "Your accusing everyone makes it seem like you have done something and you are trying to hide it by putting the blame on others. So what did you do?" she said crossing her arms.

Coronus smiled Celestia remembered her it was conformation that she had made it back to the universe she dubbed home. "Time has treated me well nothing big or bad has happened yet. Though something is going to happen soon something big well it might..." she stopped as she felt the evil aura and shivered. "Not good not good at all." she muttered to her self she wanted to go to a different universe and hide.

"I am afraid so I was worried that it could be here also, So I came to check it out." she said looking down at her feet. Why had she been so stupid to have Nyx come here. She was such an idiot at times.

"Food is always good and yes, I would love to see pictures! She sounds adorable! But that can wait till later when we are not being stopped but this child" she said as she looked at the angel "so, as she said, would you like something to eat? A snack is always a nice thing to have" she said as she listened to the other continue and nodded "and I have heard about the cave by whispers and roumors that are being mentioned by other Pae who heard about said cave and I wished to investigate the cave myself just out of mere curiosity, no one said I couldn't so I decided to come." Astra said as she looked down at the teen "so please, why don't you tell us why YOU are here? Why are YOU thinking we are the suspicious when, as she said, you look like the most suspicious one of all" she said as she sternly looked at the teen. "If you would like you can always go on your way and just pretend you never saw us or we will just leave, ignoring you, we don't have to put up with this, there is no reason I should even have answered any of your questions but I did now, unless you are an elder or leader of some kind, I think we are done here" she said as she looked to the other Fairy "I think I have been harassed enough by this teen so when you are ready I think we can take our leave" she said, looking at the angel "don't worry I will let this pass this time, I won't ask for an apology, just please, at least have the permission to interrogate others by whoever sent you as long as they are a leader of some sort or other wise you will just annoy Pae and you may not be let off so nicely next time and I wouldn't want anything to happen to you."

Nearly stuck dumb by the stupidity of the nonsensical arguments, Lailah could only stare at the pair for a moment. Perhaps they weren't saboteurs...instead, they were a test from the Guardians. A test of her patience and how to handle oneself in the face of adversity lacking logic. Afterall, that was what they were to do in dealing with the heretics, was it not?

...

No, even the Guardians wouldn't give a test this cruel or impossible.

These women were simply daft. That had to be it.

Still, if they had ANY actual information...

She waved off the pointless chatter about cookies and snacks, shaking her head and getting back to the point. "I am here on much higher authority than you will ever have. I wouldn't worry about me, I can take care of myself. As for you, well...?" She shrugged non-nonchalantly, her mind filled with dark, violent images that almost made her smile despite the pair of frustrations before her. If she wasn't so sure that these two would likely get themselves exterminated elsewhere for their foolishness, she could have entertained thoughts of how she would be their leader one day. Well, not if they turned out to be heretics as well; there was no place for traitors in the Light. "For a 'secret' cave, you two sure seem to know a lot about it. If you're so much better informed than me on the matter then, perhaps you'd share. Like say...what's in there exactly?" And who is it you work for, I wonder, if you're not simply touched in the head. The abominations, obviously.

Luna had seen her sister fly off and thought it strange. She had seen a few others leave too but thought nothing of it, though it was curious as to why Celestia had flown off into the forest without a word. Usually, she was told.... usually. Though Luna had an inkling that something had been bothering her sister for a while now and so she felt this the perfect time to stalk follow her sister and attempt to have a heart to heart talk as to what was bothering her. If being turned into a male and being the father of three newborns wasn't enough to stress out a Princess as bad as Celestia was, than there had to be something major going on.

Spreading her wings, Luna took flight and followed after her sister, taking care to hang a ways back to be unseen and to also note their surroundings. The closer they got to wherever it was they were going, Luna noticed more and more pae of all kinds seem to be flooding out of the wood work. She had landed a few paces back when Celestia had landed and only managed to catch up on foot in time to see her sister talking with a strange yellow Pae and a strange blue one. But the real reason for her following her sister was now diverted as a cave loomed up ahead. "Sister........ what is going on here?" she tilted her head, her voice stern and semi loud in a half Royal Canterlot Voice.

Azure stared up blankly at the precipice before him, he clearly wasn't in the right spot. Azure had once known the path from headquarters to his childhood sweetheart's cave like the back of his hand, and this flat rock was not the entrance. He looked to either side of the wall he faced, trying to decide if Dyas' cave was further to the East or to the West, and he couldn't make up his mind. He hadn't even come from headquarters, there wasn't much left there anyways, so it was hard for him to wager how far he was off, and time, time had betrayed his memory.

Azure turned East, following the mountain wall, looking for any opening that might be her cave. He was looking for Dyas, now, after so many years. The angel was afraid of moving on and was looking for any sort of closure he could find. Azure was already certain that he had ruined the first potential friendship he had in years because he was still dealing with his grief, or maybe he had never dealt with it. The best place to start seemed to be the cave that he used to visit so often to see her, the trick was going to be finding the right one though.

Not moving her head, her eyes flicked over to look at Coronus. "Has something happened in another world? At another time? Is it to happen now as well...?" If something of importance was to happen, then it would seem that the spirits had told her the truth in advising her to follow her instincts and search for this land. Guess it could be considered a power after all... Maybe she could use it now?

Closing her eyes, she breathed deeply, trying to calm herself from this feeling of evil, to connect with the spirits once more. One... Two... Three... Breath in and out... Should they venture onward...? A moment passed in what seemed an eternity before she shook her head, opening her eyes soon thereafter. Nothing. They had told her nothing. This feeling spreading over the land and through the trees was simply too much for her to be able to relax enough to be of any use. How frustrating...

Furrowing her brows, she crossed her arms before looking again to Coronus and Aquos. "Do you feel it best that we should seek out this evil...?"

Blinking and jolting her head back, Celestia made eye contact with her sister. If her face wasn't already white, it would have paled the moment she heard the unmistakable, booming voice. "Luna...?" No. Nonono. This was not good; she had been so careful in making it out unseen, hadn't she? Apparently not. But... Why now of all times? Why here, with this hatred and misery seeping around them? Why with her husband present...? Taking a small breath to calm herself, she remembered that she needed to act as if nothing was the matter, as if the angel beside her was simply a friend as the fey was. Simple, right? "I came on a whim of the spirits, telling me to trust in where my wings would take me. Here, as it would be. I cannot know what this is though, or why I was brought here..."

Aquos had stopped when he felt a familiar being near by, turning around to only be blinded by Celestia's light. He blinked and waved to her as his eyes tried to focus on seeing straight once again. He opened his mouth to speak but stopped once another voice was heard, a yellow fae. He closed his mouth and looked to her, simply listening...And then another joined them! It was... Frustrating. Though he still knew the second, the purple faun. Celestia's sister...He remembered her from the maze. Oh joy. Now they had to be REALLY careful. If they found out he and Celestia were wed....

Though more troubling was this danger the one Celestia called Coronus was talking about. Aquos's first thought was to leave. He didn't want any of the ladies to be harmed. Though, Celestia was speaking about spirits and- Oh he didn't know. He slung the bow over his shoulder, waiting for a quiet moment to speak. "If you wish, I can take the mantle of being your escort, ladies." He smiled to all three. "I'm only one man...But I can do my best to make sure noharm falls to any of you."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Beldaran and Darius had been relaxing outside their home, but their curiousity certainly had been peaked by the time the third or fourth pae had passed not too far off from their home and went into the forest.

"Come on Bel lets go!" the male called out to his sister who was inside putting away their stuff from their time outside "We'll never catch one of these pae to see whats going on if we don't hurry up!". Darius was somewhat impatient but something was happening and he wanted to know what it was

"I'm coming hold your horses Dar, we'll find them again" she put away the last item then hurried back outside closing the door to their battered house behind her. She motioned towards the forest "Shall we?" she asked him and smiled

With that the pair hurried into the forest in an attempt to find out what was going on.

"Yes yes I will show you them latter once we get passed this teen." The angel did not seem to want to answer any of there questions. "She must be a rebellious teen you know always thinking they are right and everyone else is wrong." she sighed, "Any way as I said before I am here because of my mom she did not tell me why to come here only that I needed to. When my mom who was once the orical of the island as an elder tells you that you you need to be somewhere you listen." Nyx was silently wondering is she should summon her imps to help her deal with this teen. she thought as she put away the food in her hands.

"Ooh by the way my name is Nyx nice to meet you." she said putting her now empty hand out to the fae.
