Mappel shook his head. "N-No that's fine. So all I need to do is write my name here?" he said resisting a bit. Closing his eyes, he winced feeling the needle pluck into his finger. Writing his name in blood, he put a question mark because he was confused and unsure. Though he got nervous and sort of pushed the needle in a bit far.
Sticking his finger in his mouth he handed her the paper, curious on what would happen now.

She took a hard gulp, as her eyes were glued to his blood. Though she had a little earlier, it didn't stop the lust for it. That was part of vampric life, the addiction, the need for it. The sight of it made her mouth water, and gave a twinkle in her eye. Elvara soon snapped out of it once Mappel started to suck on his own finger, it helped to not see it anymore. Seeing him write a question mark on the paper made her explain it a little more incase he was worried about it. "by the way, this won't be something that well put you with random person, lets say the next woman you see for example. It doesn't work like that. If you have a crush on someone, it helps to blossom that into more you could say. So you won't fall for just anyone.. don't worry about that" she smiled while mixing a few petals and things into a vial of water. Elvara then took the needle from him and stabbed the beating heart to it's second death in a way. She squeezed it with her index finger and thumb to drain it's blood into the small vial. With a small shake she opened up the lid. In some weird way the contents had turned into a powder. "Now.. I need you to repeat after to me, holding the paper to your chest" Elvara explained as she poured the powder into her hand "I Mappel Silverleaf, call my love to be here, I know you're above. Come to me and love me, for who I am. Let this be done with harm to none. So Mote it be."

Was she drooling at him? It must have been his blood, no matter what is was it creeped him out a little. All he could do was watch in shock, surprise, and awe when she perfromed her little ritual.
Taking the paper, and the powder, he gulped a bit. Holding the paper to his chest, the elf took a deep breath. "I Mapple Silverleaf, call my love to be here, I know you're above. Come to me and love me, for who I am. Le t this be done with harm to none. So Mote it be." he replied to her exactly now curious to see what would happen.

Elvara gave a smile, accidentally showing a fang again, but that couldn't be helped. They were her teeth afterall. "Now.. I want you to close you eyes, and think about how much love, care, passion and happiness you would give to this person's life if they were yours. And once you have done that, blow the powder into the air softly and let the wind carry it"
The vampire took a few steps back to give him space to actually do it, the ritual was a personal one. "After your done, fold the paper so the question mark is on the inside and keep it on your person at all times. One day, their name will appear on that paper. You'll get a strange feeling in your tummy, and urge to just look at it. And your true loves name shall be written there" she explained with a big smile, Elvara loved romance, and this really topped most of those kings of things in her mind. A lonely heart calling out to the one that's meant for them, to be brought together by magic one day.

Mappel nodded then closed his eyes and took another deep breath. He thought of all the love he would give to her, everything! From wanting to have a family with her, to just cuddling her. Once he thought as much as he could, he blew the powder.
It drifted into the wind and then faded into the stars above. Opening his eyes he folded the paper and placed it in his pocket. Looking at Elvara he smiled at her, then unsepectantly gave her a hug.
"Thank you, I appreciate this! If, and when I do find her, I'll show my children to you! As thanks for your kindness." he said to her softly. Mappel just felt like hugging her, not knowing that Elvara was his future lover. The woman that he was supposed to meet was right in front of him. Letting her go he blushed then bowed to her with respect.

Elvara watched the glittering, pink dust dance in the air. It was filled with all his love and promises to a woman out in the wide world, just waiting for him. It was all so romantic! Whoever she was, was a lucky lady, Mappel seemed like a nice genuine man, anyone would love to have him by their side.
While still watching the magical powder fade into the night sky, Mappel suddenly hugged the dark haired woman. It all came as a shock really, he must of been very pleased with the gift of hers. His words did sadden her however. Showing his future children to him just made her want to burst into a mass of sad tears. This man was going to find the love of his life, get married and have all the things that were taken from her. Elvara wasn't angry at him, more jealous than anything else. She was happy he was going to have the one thing he wished for sooner or later thanks to her magical help.
"Oh you don't have to thank me, it was nothing really" The vampire smiled, hiding the pain she was carrying. "I'd love to see how my work turned out. And who knows, maybe the pair of you will come back to me for a fertility spell" she tried to keep a bright face on her, he didn't need to know about her painful past. All she was to him right now was a person who granted spells.. nothing more. But if he did ever show up at her door with beautiful children, it would just eat at her dead heart even more. "Why don't you go inside.. you must be cold out here.."

Mappel blushed a bit after he hugged her. "My apologies, I did not mean to hug you like that." he said with a bow of respect. She didn't seem as excited as before? Yet then again, maybe being dead you didn't get that excited about anything anymore. Vampires were such a facinating race!
Getting inside seemed like a good idea, though he wasn't cold. "I have to say, this is quite the beautiful spot..but..the nature is lonely. It misses the feet of the past, the caring hands that once dug it's gardens. I can..feel it.." he said as if he was hypnotized.
Walking over he gently touched one of the long weeds and it began to glow a bit as he focused. "Uh huh? Oh is that right? Ha! Ha yeah! I'll be sure to tell her!" it must have been odd seeing someone communicate with a weed, but Mappel was kind of an odd duck.
When he finished he looked over at her and smiled. "If you would like, I could use my magic to make this garden beautiful for you once more. The plants have asked me, but also wait for an okay from you. They really miss you Elvara, and wish you and your family were around more to tend to them. I apologize if I am being rude, it's just hard to ignore nature..it's a bit of a chatterbox..hee hee.." he said with a light chuckle. Mappel was also trying to cheer the woman up too, he could kind of tell she was sad. Then again her eyes always seemed to reflect sadness. She was such a confusing woman.

He was talking to the plants again? This elf really did love his nature indeed, that quality made a smile grow on her face, till it was suddenly wiped to a sad expression. Elvara's hands were shaking, did the plant really mention her family? What was that all about? This had to be some sort of trick. "What is this?!" she boomed as her eyes went red. "Your telling me.. a plant talked about MY family?... no.. no.. I refuse to believe that" the woman was about to regret saying her next words and would apologize at a later date to them "I have no family.. never did.. nope..." for a split second her eyes moved to the small stone teddy statue behind him. The looked so sad towards if for that brief moment.
"I.... I need to go...." Elvara told him, "do what you want to my garden.. just.. don't touch anything under that oak tree.." the vampire woman threatened, it was as if bringing up any mention of a family made her close up, turn all hostile. The truth was she didn't want to be reminded, she didn't want to break down infront of a stranger over something that wouldn't matter to him. Why would he care if they were all killed? He was going to get his happy ending... "I set the living room up for you, just don't move the rug or anything.... I'll be back before the sun comes up..." Why would she even mention something about moving a rug? This woman was acting very strange now. With a small bow she ran off into the woods..

"H-Hey! E-Elvara!?" Mappel blinked she was acting really odd. When she vanished he sighed and looked at the old oak tree. He could feel it's voice call out to him, but out of respect he ignored the old tree.
He must have said something that hurt her feelings? Mappel was a bit strange when it came to nature. His heart sank a little as she vanished into a nearby wood.
The elf could have chased her, there wasn't a forest in sight that could stop him from navigating it. Something in his heart told him to leave her be, it was her life. Walking back into the house he walked into the living room. Tripping a bit over the rug his foot caught something. It was a bit messed up now, so the elf began to fix the rug back.
Did this woman have dirty floors? Why get upset at...Mappel touched something but it was too dark to see what it was. His heart began to beat faster, part of him was curious, but he also respected her wishes. Quickly moving the rug back he stood up and found a chair. Eventually falling asleep, he hoped she would be alright though.

She didn't want to hurt the poor man in her outburst of emotions. Elvara couldn't handle herself, still hadn't grieved yet after all those years. She was too busy being a vampire, loving the feel of the red stuff down her neck. Living a sadistic life were no one was spared from her wrath. With a look down to her shaking hands, Elvara knew she had to do something about it before even thinking of returning home.
Mappel talking about her family like that was too much for her to bear. Well, it wasn't really a family. Her little boy didn't even have a chance of life and her husband, he was one of the kindest people she had ever met. She would always have a place in her heart for him. All of this wasn't Mappel's fault though, he was just trying to be nice and that she wouldn't blame him for that. But Elvara's hands continued to shake, getting worse with every passing minute till her eye went solid black once more. Being emotionaly unstable wasn't a good thing for a murderous creature such as her.
Every single sense of her body was heightened by this lust for death and flesh. Though how was she going to let it all out? Sniffing round the air like a hungry cannibal, the cursed being leaped up into the trees easily. Running through them was she caught scent of something. It was an adult stag, sleeping soundly under a tree. The smell made her nostrils tingle with pleasure and a thirst for blood. Like the silent killer she was, sneaking up on the poor animal, she sunk her teeth straight into it jugular making it instantly jump up and start bucking to to and get her off! This was going to be a challenge and she liked it indeed.
The male deer did get a few kicks onto her body once she was thrown off. Clearly it didn't want to die by her hands. With a final attack, Elvara brought it down. She felt battered and bruised but all the pent up anger had lifted away like an instant cure. With a massive sigh of relief, she looked up at the murky sky. It was a shade of dark blue, the sun would be making an appearance in a few hours it seemed. What was she going to do with this poor creatures body though? Maybe Mappel ate venison, she wasn't sure but pulled out a dagger from her platform shoe to slice off the best cuts of its anatomy. "I'm sorry..." Elvara whispered as her ferocious face softened up "I couldn't help myself..." with her fingers she closed it's eyes as a sign of respect towards it and made her way back home, meat in tow.

Mappel tossed and turned a bit in his sleep. It was hard for him to get comfortable. Everything that had happened that day and night got him really excited. From the spell to everything else, he wondered if her magic even worked.
In the middle of the night he woke up from his sleep and sighed. Oddly he felt the need to reach into his pocket and pull out the small piece of paper. Was it time already? That was odd because he hadn't met many people on his journey.
Opening the paper, he could see the dark marking of writing, but it was hard to see so he moved over to a spot where the moonlight shone through the windows.
Elvara the note said written in fancy black letters.
His heart raced, this was some sort of joke right? A vampire was his future lover? Biting his lip Mappel was unsure what to do and quietly put the note back into his pocket. He would have to show her tomorrow, if that were true then..maybe it wasn't so bad. The elf was a bit confused, he wondered what she would have to say about it?
After a bit of pondering Mappel climbed back into the chair and fell asleep. He awoke again by the sound of someone barging into the house. It was nearly morning now, was she back?

It was in fact Elvara, covered in the deer's blood. Round her mouth, arms and chest. It was clear from where it all was that it wasn't her own. The vampire looked very relaxed and calm considering all of that. She must of had a meal of some kind, there was meat chunks in her hands afterall. Placing it all in a bowl, Elvara left it there. Her house was too old to have a fridge or electricity in it, back in her day they just left meat out to age well, gave it a nice taste. One day wouldn't hurt.
The sun was coming up now, that mean't having to block every single UV ray from coming through the windows. She had made some makeshift shutters over the years and closed them up. Elvara was so tried, two day she had been awake. And it showed from the big bags under her deep eyes. "You're getting old Elvara" she chuckled to herself as the woman looked in a mirror. Why was she saying that though? There was no reflection to even comment of her look.
Her body had to rest, though she didn't want to disturb Mappel. So she resorted to sleeping on the floor of the dining room. Curled up into a ball and hugging herself. Nothing like the stereotypical 'coffin pose' that most people expected from a vampire.

The morning rolled on and he awoke fully. Walking into the kitchen he noticed her sleeping soundly on the floor. Tip toeing back into the living room, Mappel grabbed the pillow and blanket she let him borrow. Gently manouvering her head he placed it upon the pillow then draped the blanket over her.
Noticing the venison he smiled. Mappel hadn't had deer meat in a while, it was one of his favorite meats as well. It was lean and healthy. He ignored the fact that she had blood all over her. Since the day was beginning anew he left her house and went about the town for a while.
Vampires usually slept during the day so he would return just before the sun was setting. Throught the day he explored the town, and bought himself a small room at the hotel to kind of shower and sleep. After all it was rude to constantly sleep in his lover's house. Still finding it odd that she was..well.
He brought some freshly baked bread over. Knocking on the door lightly he found her still asleep where she was. Using the deer meat he began to cook them both dinner. Mappel didn't care if she probably didn't eat, he had to do something for her.
As the night fell upon the town the soft smell of cooking meat and herbs filled the house as the elf was busy. Keeping the piece of paper in his pocket he would show her when she was fully awake. The elf had taken a nap so he could stay up late with her. There probably would be alot of talking to do once she found out.

The vampire was completely out of it, not even noticing him wrap her up warm and making sure she was comfortable lying there. She looked so peaceful sleeping, there was even a small smile on her blood stained lips. If all that blood wasn't there it might of looked pretty on the eye.
Her smile was there for a reason. The woman was dreaming of being a normal human again, never having to worry about people trying to hunt her down or the sun touching her soft skin. Elvara was sitting under an old oak tree for some shade from the heat, not that it was a problem. At the corner of her eye was a man sleeping soundly one a picnic blanket next to her. Who was he? No matter what angle she tried to look at, Elvara couldn't see his face. What was with this dream? Either way, she woke up just before he was about to reveal himself.
Night had fallen across the world once more, time to wake up. Rubbing at her eyes she smelt something coming from behind her. It was Mappel?! What was he going here? And cooking too? "What are you doing?" Elvara asked with a yawn.

He jumped a bit when he heard her question. Placing a plate on the table he blushed shyly. "Sorry Elvara. You're the only friend I've made in town, so I kind of wanted to hang out with you tonight. I know you probably don't want that..I've just got something I need to talk to you about. Something important that involves the spell you did for me yesterday." he replied in sort of a worried and serious tone.
This wasn't like him at all. Setting another plate out he sighed. "I made you something..I know vampires don't eat, but I had to at least thank you for your kindness yesterday. I've used a bit of the deer meat you left in the bowl. I could get you more if you needed it for something. I just haven't had it for a while. I really hope I'm not imposing on you."
