Belle had been leading them, the three of them, through the forest and to the safety of a small clearing. She had told them that there they could rest, and eat, food would be there for both those who could and could not eat grass. Rosencrantz who had been following by keeping his eyes on the hooves of his siblings, had stopped to glance over to the side where he had heard birds in the bushes.
The colt looked rather interested and seemed to move forward, but with a grumble of his tummy he decided against it and looked up to.... they were gone. Blinking, and adjusting his eyes he found that no one had noticed he stopped, and as it was growing dark, it was becoming easier for him to see exactly what was around him.
"M-Ma?" He called out and began to shift from hoof to hoof. Rosencrantz gave a soft whine and took some steps in the direction he thought they had been going in. "Moma!" He called out and then took a few bounds forward and stopped, his ears swiveling to try and find them.
He looked confused, ears nestling back against his mane. He could hear something far off, and he began to follow the sound. It seemed like it was in the right direction, but... the sound. It was.... His nose picked up the scent, and his stomach cramped at the thought. Blood. There was blood in that direction.
Instinct began to overtake his mind and he began to follow it like a dog on a trail. Soon, his nose brushed up against an injured rabbit. From the looks of it, it had been caught in something, but freed itself just to start to bleed to death. He licked the blood off his nose, the sweet but vile taste.... Rosen tried to move away from it, he didn't want to hurt it further but he was so hungry, and his mother was gone.
Lips parting, he felt the fur in his mouth, and the rest was history. When his family finally found him, Rosencrantz's muzzle was covered in blood, and he lay crying next to the now dead and partly mangled rabbit.
"I-I didn't want to..." He murmured softly as his mom leaned down to clean him up. "I didn't want to hurt him... I couldn't..." He heard his mother shush him softly and nosed him up to his feet.
"We'll talk about it later." He could hear her voice say as he closed his eyes and tried to steady himself. The worst part of it all, the worst part of killing the rabbit and taking its blood was that he felt better.

Your response: It was not a very nice day outside. In fact, it was downright miserable. The wind was howling, raining was beating the ground like a drum, and thunder rolled across the sky in an angry rumbling. Partain did not particularly mind the darker days, but this was pushing it, even for him. This was perhaps due to the fact that he had not voluntarily wandered out to admire the storm, but was instead caught unaware by it while he'd be out on his own. Now, as he made his way back to find his father, he squinted against the rain dripping in his eyes. He was nearly back toward where he believed his mother might be (though he fully intended to sidestep her in favor of finding his father) when he heard a strange sound that did not fit in with the ruckus of the storm.
Figuring he was already soaked to the bone and could suffer no more from it, he went to explore the source of the sound. Not far away a crow stood on the ground near the base of a tree. It was hopping around a little, cawing, and dragging its wing alongside it. Partain assumed the bird had been flying when the winds had suddenly picked up, and the storm had knocked him into something, perhaps the tree he was now stranded beneath.
Partain eyed it for a moment with concern. He glanced back at the place he knew his parents to be. He knew if his mother found this little injured creature, it would not meet a happy ending. He ground his teeth slowly as he tried to decide what to do. He could hardly lift the poor thing, having nothing but his teeth to do so, and it certainly couldn't fly away on its own. His eyes wandered up to the thrashing branches of the tree as he seemed to take along time contemplating what to do. Finally, he gave a mental shrug. There was really only one thing to do: protect it himself.
Laying down underneath the tree, unmindful of the rain and wind, Partain rested near the bird, allowing it to get used to him. After a while, the bird settled closer, using the Soquili's body for warmth and cover from the storm.

Plot IdeasUsername: one over three Plot Ideas: Mom's family is a frightening bunch and despite his nature being closer to his father's the young colt still feels the need to fit in. Will his efforts help him feel more a part of his mother's family or reinforce that he was never meant to be like them?
A bit of cruel experimentation attracts the attention of his father who gives him a stern fatherly talk. This is the point where his final path would be cemented. Perhaps he starts to realize that his memories of his mother's blood drinking aren't as sadistic as his young mind interpreted them.
Meeting the ladies. A choice between a vicious mare who stirs the deep seated urge for blood left over from his great-grandfather and a mare who enforces his caring nature?
Meeting his mother's side of the family. All grown up and set in his ways he returns to meet his mother's family again. Will they be as frighting as that first encounter so many years ago?

Temper: conflicted
Personality: Judas is conflicted by both his father's teachings, and his mother's inherited taste for blood. Though he doesn't go into a frenzy like his mother, he does need blood to sustain himself. He prefers to travel when the sun is down, due to his eyes being sensitive to the bright light. He uses the darkness to hunt down his prey, small animals that are easy to catch.
He's curious about his family background, wanting to meet his grandparents on both sides. He will travel for a time with his father, but due to conflicting interests, he will make his own way in the world eventually.
Other: I would love to rp and plot with this family. The conflicting interests between the parents is intriguing. Thank you for the opportunity to try and join the family.

Plot Ideas:
1. Blood Lust
One day he’ll find an animal just freshly killed and the smell of blood overwhelms him, making him lose all his senses. The temptation is greater and he is unable to walk away from it. So he tastes his first blood. Afterwards he is devastated, he feels like a complete monster and grows in a depression.
He’ll be looking for comfort from his family, either his parents or siblings.
2. Blame x Bond
His relationship with his mother is strained. He blames her for cursing him with this bloodlust temptation. He was able to fight it when he was but a foal but as he aged, he started to lose his control. He’ll have one good conflict with his mother before he decides it’s best to seek out his father. After being around his father he’s soon able to let go of his grudge for his mother and goes to apologize to her.
3. Addiction
He wants nothing to do with blood. He wants no part in taking a life in order to claim it. However, the more he tries to ignore his lust the more he feels his body growing weaker. An addiction is never an easy habit to break. Joffrey begins to slowly slip away from everyone keeping to himself as he tries to fight away the addiction.
He’ll spend many days alone secluded. Just when he is about to fight it one of his mother’s side will try to tempt him back in to it.

Plot Ideas:
1. Judas butting heads with his father. He tries hard to live by the morals his father taught him, but he has a hard time. He's not bad, he just can't help doing bad things.
2. Judas seeks out his grandparents on either side, curious about his heritage.
3. Way in the future, after lots of rp and plotting, Judas will find a mare that he is drawn to. She's put off by his taste for blood, so he tries to change for her. This proves difficult, so he must choose between the mare or the blood.

Personality: He'll spend a great deal of time learning about himself and forming who he is. As I'm leaning toward him ending up more like his father he will most likely be a kind stallion. He'll never be proud as he's always aware that his mother's lineage still lives within him.
Other: Sorry for my hazy approach to these RP questions in general. I vastly prefer to work out who a character is through RP and so my early thoughts tend to be intentionally open and vague.

Your response: Judas was eager to meet his grandmother this evening. He'd barely slept the day before, excitement quivering in his small frame. He'd always been curious about his heritage, the conflicting aspects from his mother and father. Now, he would get to see a glimpse of one aspect that made him...him. He flicked his tail eagerly, following after Belle. "She won't be that bad, will she, Momma? I mean, she'll be happy to see me?"
Belle smiled at her son, trying to comfort him. "I do not know. I can only hope she will be happy to meet her grandchildren. Do not be upset if she isn't happy, though. That's just who she is."
"It'll be alright, Momma," Judas bounced a little, trotting to catch up to his mother's side. "I still want to meet her, because she's where you came from and she's family. Daddy says that family is important."
Belle nodded, hoping her son wouldn't be disappointed. They walked along in silence, the colt barely containing his excitement.

Plot Ideas: I have such a hard time coming up with plots but lets see here...
1 - Growing up close to his siblings, learning everything he can about both of them in comparison to himself and how he sees and values the world. He'll want to remain close to both of them, regardless of if they let him or push him away. (Since there's no listed personalities for the girls that I saw?)
2 - Spending time with his father's side of the family. He loves his father and his good morals and wants so much to be like him, despite the underlying feelings and urges to kill something cropping up everywhere he goes.
3 - In turn also spending time around his mother's side of the family and among grandparents, perhaps urging those horrible feelings to be stronger and overtake his good nature?
4 - Finding an evil/cruel mare as a mate (or 3 over 3 flings or something) who just abuses him, taking his good nature down to try and draw the worst of his family history out.
