"Chama can deal with it." Rep chuckled darkly as he reached the site of the battle, summoning Tracey with a flourish. At least there was room to summon him out here, and to wield him, even if the depth of the snow did make it a little awkward.
Still, it was ******** good to finally be allowed to use the massive axe and he did so with gusto, leaping forward with an arcing slice right at one of the creatures massive feet.

Melvin did not have as much gusto as Rep had, but he was all for assisting in a termination of a Fear creature. One thing he didn't account for was all the blood and bear drool all over his glasses, and his aim was terribly skewed.
The plasma round missed by a good foot before Melvin realized that in his daze from nearly being bear food that he had to really address his - well, state of dress.
He took out a handkerchief and started to clean his glasses.

She was definitely feeling rusty when it came to combat, a couple of spars helped keep her from losing the feel for combat, but still.. she needed to get her act together, and fast.
Shielding most of the damage from the rampaging Yeti, Kat drew her weapons forward once again, only to pause a moment when Ami took an icicle to the face. Ow! "You okay, Ami?" Dumb question, but there it was.
Not waiting for an immediate answer, her weapons were put to use, nailing the beast with another barrage of bullets.

"Yeah- just keep him busy!" Ami shouted, ducking under a leg this time. The yeti had definitely figured out that Ami being close range was a bad thing- he wasn't giving her the chance to get in close, leaving Ami stranded in limbo between being too far and too close. Either Kat was going to take it down by herself, or Ami needed an opportunity to go bash him.
A groan escaped her lips. "I can't get to him at all. I need an opening!"

This was possibly one of those times she did not envy hunters with close range weapons. This yeti was totally raging, and with them being in a confined space already, it didn't help things at all.
Taking a hit from debris, Kat ducked out of the way and jumped back when one of the creatures arms came swinging at her. No sir! She had just recovered from most of her injuries. She didn't need a king sized bruise on top of everything!
"Alright!"
With Ami's request, Kat managed to get the Yeti's attention on her for a moment, with the help of Xedis. Though, she had no idea how long it would last.

Ami was at least glad she could trust Kat to interpret her requests and demands quickly, and then actually do them, in the same way that Ami would do anything Kat asked of her.
However, what Kat had failed to notice was that Ami had been squished into a corner, and the bullet "distractions" only got the yeti to turn around. Meaning Ami was squished into a corner with a yeti butt right in front of her face.

Completely oblivious to the fact that Ami was practically squished into a corner by a yeti butt, only when ordered to lure it outside did she realize the position the life hunter had been put in. Whoops. "On iiiiit~" She called back, giving it her all to distract to beast further and lure it outside. However, with the yeti advancing on her, now she was facing the difficulties of its rage at close range.
If she makes it out of this, she was coming out black and blue. Wonderful.

Ami let out a sigh of relief as Kat moved outwards. This wasn't going badly at all. Only getting a tiny scratch on her face was not the end of the world, seriously. She'd been maimed and tortured- Artic mission? So far a success.
She moved out of the building and into the cold. Suddenly she wished they were back inside, because at least it was a few degrees warmer in there.
Although the power cell was still on her mind, taking out this yeti was more important. She lunged forward, slashing across his tail. "Keep it up!"

Inside might have been cramped, but like Ami, she definitely missed the warmth in comparison to this damn cold. Not that they really had time to complain about it. The yeti was obviously determined to be a thorn in both the hunter's sides. No matter, one way or the other, this thing would die.
Just not by Kat's hand today..
Unable to land a hit on it a second time, she took a good enough blow from the beast to be knocked back and off her feet.
"Ouf! Your turn, Ami."

"Roger," she grunted, putting Junpei back together.

Ami leapt forth, swinging her spear. From it came a crash of golden waves, energy blowing off her glaive as it always had. She reveled in the power she felt, after months of not having it.
The yeti, on the other hand, did not. As the spear connected with his face, he began to dissipate until he was gone completely. Ami gave Kat and cheeky smile, but it dropped. "The battery!"
Quickly she ran back, throwing open the doors of the lab and returning to the spot where she'd set it down. Good, good- it was still safe. "That was a close one. Too bad we couldn't skin it."

Practically beaming at Ami's success in killing the Yeti, her expression dropped when the mention of the battery came up.
Ah..
The battery!
It probably would be good if they remembered to grab that before leaving. Following Ami inside, she was relieved to find that the life hunter was able to locate it, and that it was undamaged. "Yeah. Aw well, at least its gone now."

With the battery safely in tow, Ami nodded at Kat. "I got it, I got it! Let's move." There clearly wasn't anything here in the labs, upon further inspection, so the only way to go was to look in other locations.
Which led them to the residential area. It wasn't very big- or at least, not from the outside. They couldn't actually get very far inside considering everything was barricaded like something straight out of Les Miserables. She tried sticking her glaive in it, but all that yielded was Junpei squealing miserably in her head and unbroken wood.
"We'll have to look somewhere else," Ami announced. "There's no getting in there."

With no immediate dangers in sight, Kat's weapons were desummoned as she followed alongside Ami. Arriving at the residential area, Kat away from Ami a moment to keep an eye on things. You know, just in case another yeti decided to come flailing at them.
As soon as Ami had finished inspecting the area, she rejoined her, answering with a simple nod.

Ami glared at the boards, trying to decide what to do as she desummoned Junpei. Unless one of the hunters kept the object as a bedside story, she didn't think it was going to be here. Especially since it was boarded up. Surely if it was hiding something so valuable, it would've been ransacked a hundred times over.
"We need to move on," Ami said crossly, slowly turning sour with the cold and the lack of success.
She looked out into the clearing. There was a bigger outer building, with piles of shelter, clear signs of a fight. "Kind of eerie. Some of our friends fought behind those barricades. Heck, I fought out there at one point. Now it's just ... empty ..."

The idea of this place having been so active, and now abandoned and broken as it is now resulted in a small shudder from Katherine. "Yeah.." The most they could do for the hunters that died, was carry on their work.
Not quite sure which direction they were heading in, she finally led them to a room containing a large generator. "Hmm.." Stepping inside, she caught sight of one solemn screen flashing in the back of the room. "Hey Ami," jabbing her thumb in the direction of the screen, a wry grin spread across her lips. "want to test those batteries you found out?"
