"Oh wonderful! An actual fish. Maybe we will have dinner tonight." Not that Mot ate much, but he was looking forward to preparing a meal with the fish they worked so hard to catch.
He chuckled as he reeled in something, but nearly shrieked when it surfaced. "MY LINE IS ON FIR--oh wait... what is that? Shuuun? Kettil? What's that?" Mot asked, curiously pointing at the sea urchin on his hook. "Is it food?"

Shun eyed that large fish that Kettil managed to reel in.
"Impressive catch," he said with a nod. It was the biggest catch that they've seen so far today. That was good too. That critter looked like it had a lot of meat on it. While he was preparing his own line, he turned as he heard Mot exclaim something.
"You've managed to catch a sea urchin somehow. But yes, it is edible."
Nodding at that, the reaper suddenly lurched as something yanked at his line. It was far stronger than anything he had faced thus far. Narrowing his eye, he began to fight to bring it in. He gritted his teeth, and continued to pull, getting up even to start trying to walk backwards. And then... well.
He pulled up a shark.
There was now a shark thrashing about on the deck.
"Holy s**t.."

Kettil wanted to respond to compliments. Respond to Mot's catch. Kettil wanted to react to the shark that Shun managed to reel in but currently he was busy staring at a wave that was forming.
Forming and coming right for him. He was about to try and scramble out of the way when the wave suddenly crashed down on him and laid him flat on his back.
From head to toe Kettil was covered in starfish.
"...I think a couple of them are touching bad, bad places," he said in a soft horrified voice.

"SHARK!" Mot yelped, crawling backward away from the menacing creature from the deep. "KETTIL IS BEING DEVOURED!" Mot pointed after the wave consumed the boil.
"THIS TRIP WILL KILL US ALL! I think the Ocean may be cross with us, gentlemen..." Mot breathed in deeply, standing up to the fullest of his height.
"Perhaps an offering is in order..."

Shun was busy struggling with the shark, but he didn't miss seeing Kettil suddenly being covered with starfish.
"He'll be fine," he grunted, "Help me tame this bloody beast already."
He didn't know what the hell Mot was going on about with an offering to the ocean. He didn't have much time to think as he was trying to subdue his shark... which ended up smacking him off balance with its tail. A smack that sent him right into the ocean.
In an attempt to save himself from drowning, he shadowstepped. However.... he missed the dock, and just appeared a few feet above the water. Only to drop back down. Unable to shadowstep again so soon, he just found himself clawing at the water in a futile attempt to stay afloat.

The calm and quiet fishing trip was quickly turning into a comedy of errors.
Emphasis on errors.
Kettil was trying to get at least a few of the starfish off of him when Mot shouted something about needing to make an offer to the ocean and not aware that Shun couldn't swim Kettil drawled, "I think Shun is ahead of us."
The boil crawled to see what Shun was doing and found...
"..Can he even swim?" Kettil asked a note of concern hitching in his voice. Not waiting to find out he dove in after Shun.

Uh oh.
Mot was only kidding about the sacrifice thing.
"Uh.. No. No, he can not swim." Mot informed with a wavering voice as Kettil dove in after him. Mot whined a bit, wondering how to help without getting near the flopping shark.
"M-maybe I can..." The shark snapped at him as he got close, making Mot squeak loudly and jump backward. "SAVE HIM, KETTIL!"

Kettil moved to grab onto Shun's shoulder but it seemed right at that moment...Shun sunk into the water.
"s**t." Kettil dived under the water to try and get the other Reaper.

Mot fidgeted. Shun was still not... oh no he.. and then Kettil..
WAS THERE SOMETHING IN THE WATER KILLING HIS FRIENDS!?
Mot gasped and yanked off his poncho, slid out of his boots, leapt over the mean shark, and dove into the water to help. Sure enough, though the ocean water was murky with debris they'd yet to catch, Mot found Shun sinking.
The reaper grabbed Shun by the wrist and pulled him up as he swam to the surface. Upon reaching the air once more, he used all his might to pull Shun's head above the water.
"Kettiltakehimpleasehe'sheavyhelp--" Mot had managed to do this once a year or so back, but somehow Shun felt heavier.

As he sank, Shun had managed to only get a little bit of air in his lungs prior so he was quickly running close to his limit. Struggling to keep his breath, he clasped his hands over his mouth, though some bubbles were leaking regardless.
Thankfully, someone had managed to grab a hold of him just as as his breath ran out. Once breaching the surface, he gasped and gagged, sputtering out the salt water while also trying to breathe. As much as he was trying to relax, he couldn't help but squirm some as he was trying to stay afloat with Mot.

Kettil resurfaced easily enough once it seemed the drowning boil was now safe he then moved to support Shun's other side to help Mot bring the other Reaper to the nearest safe spot, "Talk about excitement during a fishing trip."

"No kidding! I knew there was a risk being at water, but somehow I didn't see it coming." Mot and Kettil as a tag team was enough to get the struggling Shun a ladder, a short swim away on the long pier.
He was hoping his earlier struggle to lift Shun was simply because Shun trained that much harder than Mot, and not that Mot himself was actually getting weaker. That was impossible, since he never trained back then.
"Sorry about that, Shun! Are you alright?"

Once he was on land once more, Shun was still sputtering, taking some time to cough up some more water as he was trying to recover from nearly drowning to dissipation. After awhile, he groaned and nodded, breathing heavily while resting his forehead against his arm.
"..Just.. need a moment..." he muttered. Waiting a little longer, he slowly began to push himself up to his feet.
"...Thanks for pulling me out."

Kettil flopped over once they all made it on land. He gazed over at Shun, he was glad the Reaper was alright.
"Oogh. That was a close one, sorry I messed up, Shun." Kettil said sympathetically.
