Shun opened his mouth for the moment as if he was going to say something, but then he just fell silent. After he received her kiss, he just watched her walk on out.
"You seem pretty worried about her."
"It's because I am..." the reaper murmured. He had nothing else to say right now. Instead, he just focused on finishing his meal. When he finished, he quietly excused himself and thanked Shiro for the meal. But he went out to join Mitsu. Maybe they could walk for awhile. He knew the city after all.

Shun would find Mitsu just outside the door to the noodle place. She stood leaned up against the wall, her head tilted skyward as she took in the taller buildings around them. The lycan figured Shun might use the time to talk to Shiro alone so she honestly hadn't expected him so soon when he came outside.
"Everything is so big here." She said softly. It really was like nothing she had experienced before. The city was a rather overwhelming place.

"It's a big place... but things were pretty big in Howling Crest too," he noted. The people there were able to become large wolves after all. Standing next to her, he looked around for a moment or so, but then Shun turned to face her more directly.
"Do you want to go for a walk? We can talk too... if you'd like."
Or they could just stroll and explore some. It was up to her really. The reaper wanted to try and help her feel better in general, after all.

Mitsu supposed that was true. Howling crest had been large but it felt like the kinda of place where everyone probably knew everyone despite the large amount of people. Here Mitsu was sure the majority of the people would forever be strangers. You were likely to never pass the same person twice.
At the offer of a walk Mitsu just nodded slightly and pulled away from the wall. As far as talking went she wasn't sure what to talk about? She could sympathize with Shiro but she was worried about what would become of her reaper. What would their lives be like? Despite what Shun said there was no way for her to be completely separated from this world. As long as she was with him this was going to be her life unless he choose otherwise.

Seeing her nod, Shun placed his hands in his pockets and began to walk down the sidewalk, leading the way. He recalled a sort of park in the city that they could go to. It was some distance away, but they could still walk to it. Granted, he realized that he probably still had his motorcycle parked in the garage somewhere. Eh. That could be for another day.
"How do you feel exactly about all of this?" he asked her quietly.

As Shun turned and headed down the sidewalk Mitsu followed, her hands stuffed into the pockets of her pull over much like Shun's hands were stuffed into the pockets of his jacket. She took in the buildings as they passed, avoiding the people that were walking by in the process. Mitsu still looked a little leery but perhaps she was handling it a little better.
Hearing Shun's question she turned her attention to him, her head tilting slightly in thought. After a few seconds there was really only one word that came to mind. "Overwhelmed." She was well beyond just whelmed at this point and she was having trouble mentally focusing on one thing or another. With a combination of this place and everything that was going on she felt like her head was going to explode.

"..I'm sorry," Shun sighed as he continued to walk along. Taking in a breath, he looked up towards the tops of the buildings high above their heads. The night sky wasn't very visible, partially due to the clouds up ahead. Or maybe that was smog. One of the two.
"I'll.. figure something out though. The thing Shiro spoke about.. it might work out.."

"Work out for who?" That was what Mitsu was interested in knowing and it was something her mind really hadn't hypothesized an answer to. How was everything going to turn out in the end?
Sighing slightly Mitsu knew she really wasn't helping Shun make a decision. As her gaze turned skyward again taking in the foggy black and slightly salmon color of the night sky with city lights she spoke again. "Do you really think you are suited for nothing else?"

"Ideally... everyone."
That was pretty optimistic to think about, however. Shun turned his attention back to the path ahead of them. If only this decision was as straightforward as this sidewalk. As far as her question went, he nodded quietly to her for the moment.

Mitsu sighed again when Shun nodded. It was disheartening that he thought he could do nothing else. It only proved one fact, he took his father's words to heart. How could she blame him though? He had probably been told the same thing all of his life.
"I think you could do so much more...but if this is the life you want I want you to think about it carefully. You aren't just choosing it for yourself, you're choosing it for the both of us. I'll always follow you where ever you go." Because Mitsu knew she was going to be sucked into it one way or another. There was no way she would have a separate life from what this was.

"I know..." he whispered, keeping his gaze on the concrete path. For awhile, he remained silent and continued to walk, brooding things over to himself.
"I.. still have time to decide," Shun said. He had at least the night to think, "Again, I'm sorry... that you had to find someone like me."
Apart from her own issues, she also had to deal with his load. It likely wasn't something anyone really wanted to share with him. And yet, here she was.

"I'm not sorry." Mitsu said quickly in reply. "I just wish...you could see what I see when I look at you." It was hard to explain but she didn't see Shun through the eyes of the world he had come from. She saw him as something more than that but it was something that was hard to get across. No matter how she tried he still didn't believe her. Maybe she was doing something wrong?
Instead of speaking Mitsu remained silent as they walked. There really wasn't much more to say at this point. It was up to Shun to make a decision and the clock was ticking down until tomorrow. If only tomorrow wouldn't come. She could feel the bats fluttering in her stomach as that uneasy feeling settled over her again.

Shun remained quiet for a little longer, until they finally reached the park. It was a nice little patch of land that had some sort of statue in the middle. Some trees were around, and there were a number of benches strewn about for people to rest upon. For now, he didn't approach one of them just yet, and instead went to walk towards the statue.
"What do you think exactly... Shiro meant with the compassion?"

The park was different from the rest of the city as most parks usually were but something about this place made it feel more like a small patch of land struggling to thrive in the midst of stone and glass. There were elements that kept it from being completely natural, the statue being one of them.
As Shun approached Mitsu held back a few paces but still followed, pausing when he asked about what Shiro said. Giving it a little bit of thought Mitsu shrugged lightly. "In this place I don't know." She admitted. It was hard for her to say what would pass for compassionate here. "He had said your father had disregarded the men who had been captured. The better thing to do would have been to probably help them. Get them back safe and sound. To care."

Considering that for a moment or so, he nodded in agreement. That seemed fairly sound. He wasn't entirely certain if there was more to it than just that though.
"Though.. would you say that I'm compassionate?" he asked. He knew he probably wasn't... very much so.
