"...Yes? Is.. there a problem with that?" Jericho blinked as she poked him. But then he gave a sort of sheepish smile, "Er.. Well I'd hate to waste so I guess I'd force myself to eat it. Hopefully doing something like that won't make me vomit."

"Hehe sounded odd coming from you, that's all," Lizzy giggled, shaking her head, "From what I remember, they allowed us to try the flavors we're interested in before we buy it, so try it before choosing? That way, you won't waste your seeds on something you don't like. Besides, vomiting... Doesn't sound - or smell - very pleasant." She made a face.

Little did either of them know, keeping Jericho from vomiting was not a matter of smell. Considering he vomited fire.

Have you ever smelt burning... Things? It doesn't exactly smell of roses and marshmallows.
"Onward to eye scream!" Lizzy exclaimed, and then... Led the way. The road to the shop was uneventful, and the place did not change much; it was how she remembered it. Entering the shop, she went right up to the display, staring at all the flavors, "There it is! Chocolate with chocolate covered bacon bits... Steak... Beefy Road..."
None of those appealed to her, but maybe they would appeal to a carnivore like Jericho.

Jericho eagerly followed Lizzy into the eyescream shop. Making his way towards the display, he looked over the meaty flavors. They all sounded really weird... yet appealing.
"Oh. I think I want to try steak," he considered while thinking it over some, "Yeah. That's it!"

"I think... Can I try the ladybug?" Lizzy asked, pointing at a red colored eye scream, filled with tiny ladybugs.
The lady at the counter nodded with a smile. Then, she took a clean spoon, and used it to scoop up a spoonful of the steak eye scream, handing it over to Jericho. She did the same with the ladybug eye scream, handing the spoon over to Lizzy.
Spoonful of eye scream in hand, she immediately popped the whole thing into her mouth, and started to sparkle, spoon sticking out of the corner of her mouth; the eye scream itself was fantastic, although she couldn't quite figure out what it was, and the ladybugs added a nice crunch to it.

"..Ladybug?" Jericho repeated while staring at Lizzy. Well.. she was a spider he guessed. It made sense. Shrugging, he took his spoon sample and eagerly gave it a taste. It was indeed, a little odd. Steak flavored ice cream, that is. But, at the same time, he really kind of liked it.
"Yes. I'll take this!" he said firmly, before looking to see how his friend was doing.
"...Lizzy.. Lizzy? You're... sparkling..?" he asked slowly while taking a step back.
That wasn't normal was it?

"And I'll take this!" Lizzy beamed, ceasing the sparkling only when it was pointed out to her. Her cheeks turned pink, and she smiled sheepishly, "Ah, sorry. I usually have that under control... Uh. It's a learned ability of sorts. The more Fear there is in the air, the harder I'll sparkle... But it's also affected by my emotions..." The last part of the sentence was mumbled.

Jericho tilted his head at her answer.
"..Are all spider demons able to do that?" he asked. It seemed like an odd ability for that species to have. Maybe it was some sort of affliction?

"N-no!" Lizzy shook her head, hands up as she flailed them around in front of her, "Definitely not! I wasn't able to do that until I took that class... Like I said, it's a learned ability of sorts. Anyone can learn it if they want, although I learned it by accident." She didn't attend the class to learn how to sparkle, after all. She was just there to look for a professor.
Meanwhile, the lady behind the counter had put the eye scream into two separate cups, stuck a spoon into each of them, and put them up on the counter.
After they had been paid for, Lizzy handed Jericho's over to him - wow, it even smells like steak - before picking up her own, eager to take the conversation away from the whole sparkling thing. She personally did not see anything wrong with it, but... It does sort of remind people of glitter, which was an evil thing, even by Halloween standards.

Now Jericho was even more confused. Rubbing the back of his neck, he looked over Lizzy for a moment or so, trying to figure this out.
"Learned ability? Is... this ability useful then? Is there something more to it?" he asked. Perhaps there was more to the sparkling than meets the eye. Maybe there was some hidden illusionary magic buried deep within all of it.
But soon the ice cream had come. Grinning, he took his, and promptly ate a spoonful.

"... I'm not sure," Lizzy frowned, staring at her eye scream, "I mean, Professor QB didn't tell me if it was useful for anything."
She paused, looking up at Jericho, "Wait, you don't understand what learned abilities are?"

"I figured they're.. well.. abilities that you've learned," Jericho said, "What else would it be?"
It sounded pretty straightforward to him.
"But.. if you learned it at the school.. I'd think that it'd have some sort of use?"
Unless this place was the sort to teach students useless abilities.

"That's pretty much what learned abilities are~ I'll ask Professor QB when I meet him next," Lizzy replied with a thoughtful look, making a mental note to get in touch with her mentor soon; it had been a while since she last reported to him... Although the last field trip he involved her in did not exactly end well. Then again, speaking of mentors...
"You have a mentor. Do you know that?" She asked, scrapping the side of her eye scream with the spoon, shaping it into a cone, "I mean... You probably don't remember, but did he try to get in contact with you since you came back?"
