Quote: The altar itself is on top of an extremely, extremely high mountain that needs to be scaled. - Roll 2 20-sided dice for each player's Stamina - If a character runs out of stamina or HP, they must try again from Round 1! Quote: [ Round 1: ] - All players must roll a 6 sided dice. If any player rolls a 1 or 6, you have triggered a boss! The DM will be in charge of rping and keeping track of the boss's HP. The boss has 50/ 50 HP and does 5 auto damage every time it is attacked. You can attack it unlimited times within discretion. Attacks go as normal. The boss is shadow shaped, a remnant of the old world, noone can go any further until the boss is defeated. IF NOONE rolls a 1 or 6, or you have defeated the boss, you may proceed to round 2. If two players roll a 1 or 6, you now have two bosses... congratulations. - This initial roll does not cost stamina! Barth is staying behind to rest some. While I run errands. Zar's curiosity had been seized by Calder's comment, but even moreso by beating a hasty retreat.
"Erm. The only kind of true seduction there is." he added curtly when they got back.
It seemed quiet, maybe the bull had figured it was victorious and left.

Calder stepped in through the portal, smiling at Zar. "Ohh. What kind of true seduction are we talking about? Give me an example." He asked.

Quote: [ Round 2: ] - All players must now scale the hill. Roll 1d100. - If you roll 85 or higher you have made it to the top! You're kind of amazing you know - If you did NOT roll 85 or higher you still need to keep on climbing. Keep on climbing... away..... You need to continue rolling until you roll 85 or higher. - For ever time you do not roll 85 or higher (each reroll), you must subtract one of your given stamina points. If you hit 0, you cannot go any further/ you dissipate/ pass out/ are worn out. - If you hit 0 HP, you must start again from Round 1! - If you made it past this round, you can proceed to round 3: An example? He couldn't think of any real examples off the bat, so tried to explain instead. "Well. In terms of the seduction my family tends to excel in its of the intimate variety. Sexual intercourse. The seduction of humans particularly, lulling them into a false sense of security and then striking." He shrugged his shoulders. "My father prefers I follow in his footsteps." Footsteps, not hoofprints. Sometimes it was easy to be aware he was not the same as his father. He eyed the hill. "More climbing. Fantastic." Sta: 18

"Ah! I'm familiar with that, though not going that far. My kind just looks so good that we tempt others to us. Either as a mare or a lovely woman or man. It's our Lure that brings them to us and makes them fall to us. Then by the time they are on our backs or in our embrace, they can't escape. It's just one short run to the nearest river with them screaming all the way down into the water." His eyes sparkled as he thought about it. "I can't wait for my passport. It will be magical." He breathed out and started to walk up.
"Do you test our your seduction - I mean, not going that far but anything like it?"

Zar looked impressed, he didn't know a tremendous amount about kelpies and was intrigued to find parallels between their species - though some small prideful part of his brain of course assumed that demons did it better.
"I don't know how you test seduction. If you mean trying to get people into bed? I always do that."
He laughed rather deviously, before following up the hill.

As a monster pride thing, Calder felt he did seduction better and crossed his arms as he walked up the mountain. "Oh? You don't seem all that seductive to me? Just flustered and pouty. It's why I was a bit surprised." He reached out to flick Zar's hair. "You also need a bit off work on your style to be honest."
Calder was clearly sexier than Zar by miles.
As they walked, Calder noticed how high up they were going again and was feeling a bit faint, and slowed down a bit as he took deep breathes. Heights. He hated heights.

Zar actually stopped mid way up the hill and gave Calder a startled look. Oh no he didn't. He didn't expect Calder to have claws in quite that sort of way, narrowing his eyes at him as they went down to slits.
"I'm meant to be appealing to humans. Not whatever tasteless thing you are."

Calder spun on a hoof and looked at him. Oh no he didn't!
"I can out seduce you ANY time, Zar. I'm a bounty on the eyes and a delight to the senses. You get flustered by a crayon." He stepped closer, eyes turning dark. "I bet even I could bring some color to those cheeks."
Just then, he felt a wave of dizziness and held his head a moment. "I...I gotta go back down. The thin air is hurting me." He breathed out, feeling ready to faint.

"Keep dreaming." Zar said, irritably. "You aren't all that." He was thrown for a loop by the attack on his style, convinced for a very long time that suits were the only way to go, and never prepared to question it.
"I was starved at the time of paperwork and everything else." and still was.
He was glad when Calder had to go back, a little more hurt than he was prepared to let on, tail flicking behind him.

Quote: [ Round 3: ] - You must now make it past the molten lava pits. This area is HIGHLY dangerous, stepping on a single wrong area can spell doom for the whole party. - All players must roll 1d10. If any player rolls a 4 this is instant death/dissipation/ Fear shields are ZERO and you need to use pendant to retreat back home. Otherwise match your rolls to the results: 1: Instant death (just for you, return to Round 1) 2: Nothing happens 3: - 50% of your remaining HP 4: Instant death (for everyone, game over) 5: Nothing happens 6: Nothing happens 7: - 50% of your remaining HP 8: Nothing happens 9: -25% of your remaining HP 10: Instant death - All players need to roll 3 times to make it to the next round EACH On his own, of course he died again in the lava.

Barth had, in the meanwhile, enjoyed a very necessary nap while his fear re-cooperated.
Questing was an exhausting business.
Still, napping was always better when someone was with him. It made him feel complicit.
