Isaac
"i forgot how unnecessarily heavy your armor is. shouldn't be too much of a problem."he raised the stairs and closed the door behind them. after that he made his way to the pilot chair and sat down. he put his feet on the pedals, firmly grasped the control stick with one hand and looked on the left side of the chair. there was a small DPS, a few levers, some gauges, and a cup-holder.
to his left was the throttle lever, the fuel-air ratio lever, and the RPM lever. and a few other miscellaneous buttons and switches on both sides.
he played with one lever on the left side, a hissing sound filled the spot above them. hydrogen was being pumped into the bladder.
as it pumped he ran through the pre-flight checklist. when the ship left the ground he stopped playing with the lever, until they stopped moving up. he began talking to himself mostly as he ran through the checklist. as he spoke he did the actions.
"main battery, on." electric lights buzzed to life above their heads and the gauges lit up.
"fuel to air ratio is adjusted" the needle in one of the gauges moved.
"rpm, adjusted" he moved the lever next to the throttle lever.
"and ignition in three. two. one. mark. the battery and engine gave a little wine as they started up. finally the hydrogen ignited and the propeller was moving.
"alright, landing gear retracting." he flipped a switch and the sound of the landing gear coming up with a dull thunk could be heard
"allright, taking off" he adjusted the throttle and rpm levers and the ship began to move forward. in a few minutes they were well free of the building and off on their way
