Slowing his pace, Marosa folded his wings behind him and breathed as best he could, deciding to save his breath. He felt he would need it here soon, and slowing the walk up the stairs wouldn't hinder any.

She had noting to lose and everything to gain if the others were already out. This pleading was like something a scarling would do, only with large words and fancy linguistics that sounded all mysterious. Again, it was almost comical thinking about it. Perhaps the ghoul was just terribly tired in mind and emotion, but Levi exhaled like she'd wanted to laugh.

Her hands were curled over her knees like an injury afflicted her, tail balancing against each step she took. Her chest felt heavy; all Levi wanted to do was return after smiting this thing so she could see their faces again, happily smiling back at her - instead of the morbid imagery she now held within.
