Once Nevada was in the room, Lex froze momentarily. His performance today would be crucial to getting that bracelet off her arm and keeping her from becoming another photo Caelius could use as a threat. A minor catch in his throat, but he gulped it down and began fiddling with the container of bandages he'd picked up.
Breathe - don't worry. You'll come out fine. Point and shoot.

Aah, and now it all made sense. Grinning, the young woman leaned forward and solemnly pat her friend's arm. "Robert, while Petra did a very good job dressing you up, I don't think she meant for you to wear all of this here." Shaking her head, she briefly turned away to Saya and Bix smiles as the latter passed by. When she turned back, it seemed as if the heat had finally gotten to Robert, who was willing to take off a couple of layers.
With some help, that was. Noting the pointed look and the silent exchange between Robert and Jordan, Eva sighed in amusement before moving forward, careful to pull only one layer of the man's pants down while Jerry dealt with his coats.
Jerry gave a snort and swatted at Eva playfully, shaking his head, "He's a big boy he can do it himself." Back to tugging off the jacket. If he was lucky, the thing wouldn't be too stretched out. "Besides, what if his wife saw another pretty lady pulling his pants down?"
At least the shenanigans were a great distraction from what ever it is they would be walking into.

Tedan had actually been sleeping when the alert went out, the dark-haired sun trainee feeling a bit tired after sparring a bit. He was out of practice by this point, and it showed. Still, an emergency mission wasn't something that he could sit out. Rolling off the bed, he grabbed his coat and an extra long-sleeved shirt and jacket and then headed for the briefing. He heard the whispers coming down the hallway and by the time he got there, Tedan could already feel his shoulders tensing up. Alaska had been most definitely not fun the first time around.
And now ... when most of those who had arrived around the same time as he had were already at least intermediate level, he was still stuck as a trainee. It was his own fault... he knew that. Now more than ever, he was starting to regret not training more on his own. Still, he tried to put on a brave face as he came in, glancing around for familiar faces. Wandering over toward Jerry and the little group around them, he waved slightly. "Hiya guys."
The training field was crowded, as common during a large mission dispatch, though supplies were still well fed and granted, several stations for charging Runic Weapons, supplies, pendants nearby. A few minutes later most teams were gone, save the Sun, Moon, and Life divisions.
Thankfully the remaining Hunters were flagged down by a rather cheerful red-headed Sun lead. "Looks like everyone else is with me!" He was in determined mode, weapon already slung casually over one shoulder. "We're on the crowd control team so help other Hunters, save whomever you can find, and be careful. Try not to fight a Horsemen if you don't have backup." As if expecting the trainees (and some Hunters) to disappear, he glanced one more time their direction as he stepped through the portal.

Laughing, Eva leaned back in an attempt to dodge the playful swat. "Aw, I'll just help this once. And don't worry--it's not like I'm pulling every pair of pants off. Just the top layer."
But that being said, as she gave a sharp tug down, she did almost bring all the layers down with her. Fortunately, her other hand shot out to grab and hold up the innermost layers before that could happen. Oops, that was a close one. She was still working to help strip Robert of his topmost pair of pants when Tedan showed up.
"Hi there," She chirped cheerfully, only to perk up when Allan called out to them. Ah, were they moving, then? Once Robert was slightly less bundled up, Eva silently motioned forward towards the portal.
Somehow, the sight of the Sun leader reassured Tedan a bit and he went ahead and summoned his weapon before heading through the portal, prepared for the usual chaos and screaming on the other side - or at least he hoped he was.

FINALLY. Jake could barely contain the relief in his expression as hunters started moving out.
Quickly checking to see he had a pendant on him and his runics and weapon were in check, he made his way to the portal without looking back.
Melvin got a nod in return; Dakota got a smile as well, and Jordan had just opened his mouth to agree that yeah, he'd appreciate backup, when Harrison spoke up. Jordan blinked - hadn't Rep mentioned that the dispute had been settled, relatively peaceably? Maybe that'd been when Harrison was n duty or something.
The metaphor Dakota chose to answer the question made Jordan pause for a moment, his eyebrows arching. Rep's grumbly agreement made him smirk, though. "These guys work together most of the time," Jordan said, resting his hands on his guys' shoulders briefly. "I could use some defense, if you're offering."
And then Allan was issuing the order to move out, and Jordan nodded, expression falling back into a more serious set. "Let's go."

Sasha didn't hesitate in following after Allan, glancing briefly over her shoulder before she stepped through the portal.

Ceres had maybe, intentionally, waited until it was time to move before really making an appearance. Chosing more to shuffle through with the masses than singly stop and talk.
She really needed to get out of this funk, and hoped this battle would do something about this.

The hand on his shoulder made him relax again and Rep couldn't help but toss a somewhat earnest smile over at Jordan. He supposed he needed the minding half the time since things kept tending towards disaster whatever he did.
But then Allan was addressing them.
Orders. Orders were always important. Rep snapped to attention almost out of instinct and followed, making sure the others were nearby.

The command was given by a strange, red-headed man who he could only assume was one of their superiors, and listening in, he watched as droves of hunters already had filed out in the time they had been lightly briefed. Looking about, he wondered where exactly he was going, but decided to just stick close to the people he knew. The main goal here was to stay alive and maybe help someone more sure on the battlefield out. However, he had yet to really get fighting etiquette and if he could just pick someone to defend. It wasn't like he was claiming dibs, and he didn't have the same excuse as Moons who, by their very division, tended to hook up with a Sun. The idea of defending a Death member somewhat rubbed him the wrong way, but he'd take anyone really. As long as he didn't have to do the heavy hitting.
"If anyone needs any defense...I'm no moon, but I can help."
Making sure he had everything, he followed the group through the portal.

Deryk tried to relax like Ariane said. But it didn't work. He just smiled at her and Bix nervously, then looked towards the front as it was time to go. Taking in a deep breath, he got Tooley ready and entered the portal.
