Taking another quick step, Sharra did his best to dance around the Hunter that had attacked him, the man clearly intent on trying to smash him into pieces. Well. That seemed healthy. Crossing one leg behind the other, he then bent down, trying to swipe at the fellow's knee. Take him out at the legs.
He managed a glancing blow, but a shield-swipe caught him on the way out, causing the blond boil to wince. A'right. Yep. Should have seen that coming.

Ying, who was normally terrible with her bow, had been worked up into a frenzy. Medea's speech was ringing in her head, but that wasn't it. No, it was the fact that a hunter had tried to swing his weapon at Jing, and she just wasn't having any of that. She wouldn't allow them to take the last thing she had left.
She fired arrows like a madman, straight into the FEAR shield of the sun hunter. "Stay away, human!" she called out, thinking "human" was the worst insult she could give. She turned to her brother and said, "I will protect you, brother." She was terrified, shaking even a little, but her brother propelled her to do her best.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the heir of Conquest. Hopefully he'd seen that wonderful bowmanship!

Xiu tried to keep the horror off her face when she arrived on the battlegrounds, taking in the sight of both sides--horsemen and students versus hunters--as they attacked one another ruthlessly. Although the baku had no love for the hunters, she still found herself flinching in shock as one of the horsemen brought down a hunter right beside her, the human's limp body falling at her feet.
Oh, Jack.
It was a good thing that she wasn't obligated to fight here, because honestly, she wasn't sure if she would have been able to bring herself to attack. When she fought before, it was mostly in self-defense and to keep others safe--never to kill. Although she knew that it was sometimes a necessity to stay alive, the baku told herself that her job during this battle would be to stay back and keep Sophie safe. Unless they came at her or Xiu spotted a friend in danger, she intended on keeping her fists to herself.
For now, anyways. Knowing that Alex would likely join the fight, she murmured a quiet "be careful" to him and reached out to give her friend a one-armed hug.
"Sophie, stay beside me, okay?" She flashed the zombie ghoul a small smile, and then turned her wary gaze towards the field.

Lan smirked as Mengyao gave his little retort. "Look at it this way Mengyao, me here means less work for you. More time for you to perhaps practice your fan waving." Not that he probably did so every night. Lan would bet tokens on it. Lifen got a small bow as the battle went on. They were gathering quite the crowd. Then somebody went and attacked somepony. Tseng was having far too much fun with this.
"POWER STRIKE!" he shouted while imbuing a little extra fear into his arrow. The arrow practically ripped through the hunter, taking out a fair chunk of that precious fear shield she had. Soon her blood would be spilled and she'd join the ranks of the fallen.

While he prowled about, Shun managed to spot Xiu off to the side, with a few of the year one students and Alex. This wasn't a place where she belonged. Frowning, he made his way over. "Xiu. This battle does not suit you," he said lowly. She hadn't wanted to stay around during the ordeal with Stacey. He couldn't imagine that she actually wanted to be here now. Turning around, he saw a hunter carrying a rather large shield. Narrowing his eye, he shifted around, trying to get in a good strike. Shun: 34

Seeing a Hunter attacking another Horseman, Gene went for him. She wasn't a fan of the Horsemen, but the endless throbbing in her skin demanded she do it. Rage, red and blind, was what drove her now.
She attacked swiftly, but was whacked in the head. She grabbed hold of the blade, and snarled at the Hunter as she shifted her legs into a giant bee sting.

Chaos. He had walked into chaos and had drug his little sister into it with him. It was hard to even know where to begin, so he started by letting her go, following the nergal boil with his gaze as he was suddenly attacked by a hunter. "Stay back." He growled at her, then took off into the fray. Of course, Alexander wasn't really made for fighting. He actually kind of sucked at it most of the time. The second he got close, he found a shield that he wasn't expecting to actually be used offensively to be hitting him hard in the stomach. Ow. Yup, she was regretting it already.
The sight of horsemen - and students - fighting against hunters greeted Lizzy the moment she stepped out of the portal; she knew that there was going to be a battle, but attacking them like this? What's the difference between what Medea was advocating for, and what the hunters had been doing all this time? She's fighting fire with fire, and creating a larger fire in the process.
She could feel the Fear in the air, but this wasn't the type of power she wanted... Grimacing, she took a step away from the madness, wanting no part of the fighting even if some of her friends had jumped headfirst into battle.

And of course someone had to butt into Tseng's fight.
The arrow zipped past the other conquest horseman's head as it lodged into the shoulder of the hunter that he was fighting. Cackling, Zhi pushed through the crowd and moved forward to where his rival stood, giving him a hearty slap on the back.
"HI THERE, LOOKS LIKE YOU COULD USE SOME HELP."

Presumably followed by AJ and Night, Aymet launched into another fight that had spilled into his area. The big shield didn't make it easy to get many clawings in, but Aymet tried, slashing red lines down the front of it. "Alex!" he called to his fellow undead, a familiar and welcome sight. HP: 25/50 DMG: 5 + 2 = 7 CHARGE: 4 FEAR: 30 TOWER SHIELD MIST HUNTER HP: 63/80 (auto dmg -5)

She ducked to avoid an arrow whizzing by and turned around. Her eyes widened with childish glee before she excitedly waved an arm at the other conquest horseman. “Zhizhi!” she chirped, but was then smacked in back by the female hunter. Jay let out a loud squawk as she fell to her knees and then shook her head, her feathers rustling. She grimaced. Oops.
