  The female and male were still busy arguing, completely oblivious to Madilyne's presence. "Ar! Stop arguing with me and just do it!" The girl said. The boy picked up one of the crates and held it over the girl's head. "Ar! How about I drop it on you?" He asked. "Ar! You better not!" In the distance a speck could be seen coming closer and closer. It was clearly a ship but other than that it was impossible to tell.

 Madilyne May ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Madilyne made it close enough to the dock that she could reach out and touch a crate, hidden by a large rock near the shore. She wondered what exactly was in the crates and if she could possibly crawl inside one somehow. She seen the ship in the distance, wondering if it was the Wavedancer. She would just have to wait. She decided to creep forward and take a peek in a crate if she could while the others were bickering. ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 The spider roared angrily as it fell to its "knees". It struggled to stand under its massive weight as it dragged itself towards the two. "You will never reach Priestess Nali," it assured them in its deep, booming voice.

Madilyne May ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Madilyne looked up to see the ship and figured it was the one she was waiting for. She looked down at the crate. She decided to stow away in it, at least then she would be able to get on the ship and come out when everyone was either gone or asleep to look around. Quickly she scurried into the box, nestling in with the cargo and replacing the lid so it seemed untouched. ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I'm alright but I can't say the same about our friend there." Hearing a drop, kyo looks on over back at the creature as it crawled to them on its dying breath. Dryly it uses the last of its voice to leave them a message while dragging its non-responding lump of body at them. "We'll just have to find out won't we?" Using his left hand, faint light symbols forms on his arm, creating something similar to magic craft tattoo but was distantly different. "May the wind guide you, beast of the jungle..." saying it in a transparent voice and drives his enhanced fist through the beast's armor and into its brain. He jumps down and flicks the blood on his hand aside.

As Madilyne got into the crate and slipped the top closed she would feel something hard underneath all the teddy bears.  The gold bars took up the bottom third of the crate. Just then someone tried to lift the crate up. "Ar! This one is a lot heavier than normal! Someone help me out!" "Here, let me help," another voice said in an exasperated tone. The crate lifted up and the sound of footsteps over wood could be heard as the crate was being moved across the dock and onto the ship. After a few minutes of movement the crate was set down. The pirates moved in and out several times, placing more crates into the room before they walked out, shutting the door behind them. It was silent except for the faint whirring of the propellers as the air ship prepared to take off.

Madilyne May ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Madilyne felt the patches of cold hard metal feeling things beneath the bears and her eyes glowed softly so she could see. She blinked when she seen the gold. Now I understand. she thought and felt her crate being lifted. She remained silent for several moments until she felt they sat her down and waited until she heard the last of them being loaded and the ship begin to move to look out. She lifted the lid of the crate and looked around, deciding wether or not to get out yet. ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The spider slowly collapsed, almost like a building coming down. The purple glow in its eyes faded away leaving only a dead, empty shell. The spider slowly turned on its back and curled its legs in, like a true spider when it dies. The noise from the drums deeper in the forest grew louder, as if the drummers somehow knew Michi and Kaze had defeated the monster.

As Madilyne opened the crate she would see that she was in the cargo-hold of the ship. It was a wide room full of stacked wooden crates exactly like the one she was in. No one else was around. The ship slowly began to shake as the propellers lifted it into the air and the splash of it leaving the water entirely could be heard. The ship slowly continued to rise into the air, propellers turning faster.

Madilyne May ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Madilyne crawled out of the crate, seeing she was alone. She decided to check through every crate quietly to make sure they weren't hiding the jewel she was searching for in one of them. She then would proceed to search around the room. She would have to wait to search the rest of the ship when they docked or everyone was asleep. ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Deckhand Steve Unfortunately most of the crates contained more stuffed teddy bears hiding gold with the exception of a few crates containing basic supplies. As the ship reached its full height, footsteps could be heard echoing down the hallway towards the storage room. "Ar! It's your fault we have to make sure the cargo isn't damaged Deckhand Steve! If you had been more careful with it the Captain wouldn't be worried!" "Arrr! If you'd helped me more I would have been able to slow down and be more careful Deckhand Morgana!" The door opened and light flooded into the room as the bickering pirates came in.
