"I," said Sparrow, in response to Jack's query. "am just fine. Really. I just see no point in moving anymore."
He really just had no desire to move whatsoever. Besides, lying here on the ground was pleasant. It was simple. It wasn't complicated or pressing, like attempting to fight metal monsters who confused you into sending shadows back at yourself.
That was just rude.
Besides, Aymet was here, and Lizzy, who was really very nice, and -
A familiar voice tinged at the corners of Sparrow's mind, and he turned his head slowly, eyes flickering up towards the person in question.
"Riley, darling, I do believe the answer to that question is lying beside me."
He would have gotten up and bowed to her but that would require effort.

Tomoko looked up towards the Cerberus boil with a sort of pathetic face before she leaned against his shoulder with a small sigh, still clutching the two toys in her arms.
"I kicked it and it hurt my toes." she confessed, almost as if her actually trying to hurt something was completely and totally taboo and she should be ashamed of it. Which she was, naturally. "But if it's gonna...." she looked down at the two toys in her arms and then hugged them closer with a whimper.
She had to save them.

Things were starting to look better, more relaxing. The fact that someone had hold of his tail didn't even bother him. Or at least, not until they yanked it.
"EGAHH!! Ow hey!" Some stuffed animals might have gone flying in all directions as the black dog flailed beneath the pile. "Quit doing that! That is not be played with!"

Ren stared at Tybalt.
He stared at the pile of toys Tybalt was buried under.
Then he sighed, glanced at the boil - AJ, if Ren remembered correctly - and said wisely,
"We don't have to. They can do stuff," chimed the voice coming from his phylactery, unsubtly indicating the still-standing people. A couple of fingers twitched, pulling one of his arms slightly closer to Lizzy, just enough to place a couple of ice-cold claws on her in do-nothing solidarity.
Something hit the floor beside him.
"Welcome to the party," he slurred at the now ground-bound Sparrow.
The view of the grungy piles of toys shifted sharply as his head was lifted clear above the forest of moving legs. The question was answered even before the dracolich needed to do so, the voices chiming around them. There was a flicker of blue light in the eyes as he recognized who'd picked him up.
"Been a while, huh, Riley," the skull grinned. It only ever grinned.

It was a bit effort to apologize to Tybalt, but that's the manner. "Sorry, I though it was a toy or something....." The sentence was trailed off as AJ released the tail. He then looked at the boil who talked to him "Oh hi Ren. Let's lie down and relax, it's very comfortable." He invited Ren with a indolent tone. It was weird to see the amphisbaena in that way, he is always energetic and peppy.
Sophie was starting to feel the heat worse. She wasn't sure she would last much longer. She was going to melt.. Melt.. Melt! Hand reaching into her pocket, she pulled out the chocolates she'd collected from the nice room. If she was going to go down, she'd at least taste the chocolate before she did. Unwrapping the foil, Sophie popped the chocolate into her mouth. It was jacking amazing. Possibly the best thing she'd ever tasted. It felt... She felt restored.. refreshed.. It appeared there was more to this candy than she thought.
Looking at the second candy in her hand, she glanced around the battlefield. So long as she wasn't fighting, she could at least put it to good use. Eying Tomoko, Sophie gave a nod. The ghoul was pretty beaten up; she could definitely use the candy. Moving over to her, Sophie held the chocolate in front of her. "Here. Use this.. I don't know how or why but it's made me feel a lot better. It might help you."
Riley heard Shun's voice first, followed closely by Sparrows. She moved closer, standing in front of the pile of bones, and matched the bones with the head she was holding. It certainly looked appropriate, so she lovingly dropped the head down into them simply by letting go. Thank you. She replied to Shun and Sparrow, even as she scattered her gaze across the group of students that had slowly begun to compile themselves together, laying there uselessly, without a care in the world.
Certainly no care concerning the giant metal monster trying to kill them all for trespassing.
Why have you all given up on fighting? Was there a memo I missed? Did they know something she did not? Was this fight so futile, that expending energy was itself too much of a waste?
Apparently the energy used for talking was an acceptable loss, though. Hello, Aymet. I would say it's good to see you, but perhaps I will keep that for when you're all in one piece.
"A-a toy!?" The black dog squeaked out, before he buried his face into the stuffed toys again, sulking. His tail looked nothing like a toy! His tail was beautiful! Perfect! And--and--NOT A TOY!
Not even the comfort of the plush pile could help him that crushing blow.

Tomoko's ears perked up as Sophie offered her the candy, giving the familiar ghoul a small smile as she carefully bundling her two misfit toys in one arm as she reached out to take the sweet.
"Thanks." she bowed her head slightly to the undead ghoul. Unwrapping it, she popped the chocolate in her mouth, ears perking up suddenly.
"This tastes amazing." it made her feel a whole lot better.
A little bit of wild laughter broke out from the Cat King when Sparrow answered him, standing up straight again, long tail swishing behind him excitedly. He was definitively a live spark when things got going. Peering down at the laze pile, he gave them a turn of the head, eyes dancing with amusement.
"Did you want a song too, Oh Sparrow, dear Sparrow?" He sort of sing-songed out whilst taking a break from attacking the machine King. Even if he was a king. There was only room for one monarch, so there!

"Floor party~" Lizzy managed to mutter out, weakly raising one arm up into the air as she cheered, "Whooo~" The arm then went limp, flopping carelessly back to the ground, where it rightfully belongs.
"One of us, one of us, one of-" Too much effort to stand and fight, but not too much effort to chant - at least, for a whole 3 seconds, "I don't know... Fighting just takes too much effort right now..."
Ah. So Riley did have Aymet's head after all. Shun nodded quietly to her, then paused at the question that she posed. That was... actually a fairly legitimate question. There were quite a few students lolling about. They didn't look too injured to fight. They had simply... lost the resolve?
Granted, he was feeling a little worn down himself but he wasn't about to give up. For now, he was simply biding his time because of the weariness. He wanted to make sure his strikes counted, rather than letting them go to waste. At least that was his plan of action.
In any case, he had enough of dawdling around. He scoffed lightly as he heard Lizzy saying that it took too much effort to fight now. What. Did she turn into a sloth demon? Shaking his head, he turned towards the Furnace king and began to rush in towards him once more. The steam was hot, and the area directly around the king was even more so. It seared at him a bit, but that didn't stop him from slashing and stabbing at the guy before he was forced to back off again, finding himself even more worn down.
