Eva pouted at the boy. "Hey, I don't mean to!" Summoning Chara, she thrust the blade forward and into the monster.
"...Not that I mind the delay climbing and getting to the magma, I mean."

"Oh my gawd, you did this on purpose!" Otto teased, chucking Tenya, her form slicing the air at the beast.
It barely grazed the thing.

Despite the fact they were facing off with a monster, Eva found herself chuckling. "You can't prove that though, now can you?" She replied cheerfully, before whacking the creature with her weapon.

"Nah, but I can give ya s**t for it, anyway." He sassed right back.
The creature looked to be winding up for a real world of hurt. To keep himself and Eva safe, Otto unleashed a fury of close combat attacks.

Eva made a face at him. "But you can't prove that I did anything! Maybe I'm innocent!"
Of course she was innocent. To prove her point, she offered Otto a pleasant smile, swinging Chara out and hitting the monster without even turning to look at it.

Otto had managed to wind himself after that flurry of attacks, concentrating on not getting decimated by the creature instead.

Eva staggered back when the monster hit her, but since the attack had knocked her back to where Otto was, she used this chance to give him a nudge and a mocking, accusing look.
"I'm trouble, Puppy? Look who's talking!" She teased.

"I'm a perfect angel." He said with the straightest poker face.
The creature lurched forward again, but Otto used its own weight against it, using Tenya as a means to flipping the thing over and flinging it a few yards away.

She cast the monster a brief look as it dissipated before turning back to Otto, reaching up to tap the boy on the forehead. "I guess you have the traditional look for an angel," She mused. Blond hair, light blue eyes... "But that attitude of yours..."
She grinned at him, jumping away and letting Chara revert to her clip form as she made her way to the cliff. Locking her fingers together, she stretched before reaching out to grab a small ledge.
"If only you had the wings to fly us up!" Despite the fact that she was trying to keep herself positive and happy, there was a slight quiver in her voice now that she was back to this damn cliff. However, she took a deep breath, told herself that she would be fine, and began to climb.
...And somehow, her magical spider monkey powers came back.

Otto smirked lightly at her words, lightly murmuring back "Well, almost perfect then."
He gawked as her spider monkey powers returned, blown away at the speed she rose up that cliff. Shaking his head, he began to climb again. "Hey, Eva! Who'dya look like most? Yer mom or yer dad?" He yelled up conversationally. The topic came up since she'd mentioned appearances earlier.

Laying on her stomach, Eva slowly shuffled forward so that she could peer over the edge of the cliff and watch Otto's progress to make sure that he was okay. The question, however, caught her off guard, and the boy earned a surprised look before her expression softened.
"My mom," She called back after a short pause, "But I have my dad to thank for my eyes." She feel silent, looking uncertain before she called down to him again.
"What about you?"

"Neither." Otto replied back, still climbing away at the unstable cliffside. He didn't lift his head to catch her face staring down at him, too busy concentrating on the task. He thought about other things to ask, things to pass the time. He didn't like talking, not normally. But the closer he got to Eva and Clerise, the more he didn't mind so much.

...Neither, huh? Eva blinked down at him, folding her arms beneath her head as she continued to watch him make his way up. "You must have gotten your blue eyes from someone, Puppy. They're the most innocent and pretty shade of blue I've seen." There was a pause, and then she laughed.
"Now if only you would stop glaring at people with them."

Otto paused his climb to stare up at Eva with a baffled look in those apparently innocent eyes of his. They soon turned to a disgruntled glare. Not that he was actually mad. It was his default expression when he was embarrassed.
"No. No one in my family has them." He murmured as he resumed climbing. "Not even Grandpa had them."
He slipped a little, hissing before slowly climbing back up to make up for the foot or two he'd lost of his climb.

The glare only earned him a giggle and a happy, teasing finger flutter. "No one, huh? Then I guess that makes you specia--!"
Her voice caught in her throat when he slipped, her heart stopping for a second. However, when it became clear that he had managed to catch himself, she relaxed slightly...
And then realized that in her panic, she had pushed herself forward, most of her upper body hanging over the edge. Apparently her way of trying to help should Otto fall was to throw herself over and.........and then hope that this would somehow help.
Which it wouldn't, but she would try.
