Melvin stopped, tensing when he felt something move under water. He could only hoped that it was Rin, but he held his breath. They were in waters that could have creatures, and Jordan had mentioned he once saw Moby d**k. It was worrisome, and he breathed out slowly before looking blindly around. "Marco..." He resumed, his voice a lot less sweet and more restrained due to the brief freakout.

"Polo!" Rin called out, looking a bit worried as he wandered in her direction so she wandered slowly in the other direction from him.

"You will warn me if Jaws comes up behind me, right?" He said, still thinking about what had moved under the water. He looked a bit nervous walking around blindly in the water, but at least it wasn't deep. If he was actually swimming, he'd be concerned about something grabbing his leg.

Rin was hesitant to answer with him so close. She froze up and held perfectly still in hopes he might wander off again without noticing her.

Oh. No cigar on that trick. "So I guess that means I could wind up getting a big bite out of my ribs." He slowly moved, feeling about the water. "At least make the theme music if it happens."

Rin mentally promised, though now she was struggling not to make the sound effect for her own kicks. It was painful not to. She watched him move right past her. Close Melvin, so close. Close enough she can't evade again.

Melvin was starting to creep Rin out too. She was looking down at the water nervously with a wary frown. Was that something she just felt?!

"Do you think they get the piranha for the Jenga lake from around here? They can't really import then, can they? I wonder if they swim around the coast." He was just talking to himself, but he was waiting for any little noise now. He hadn't heard the sound of moving water in some time.

Rin's frown deepened with worry and she did give a small jerk as he nearly brushed right against her there. Almost.

"I hope you didn't drown on me or have been dragged away by a giant octopus." He said, more or less just openly rambling as he turned slightly and tried another direction. If she was laughing at him from the shore, he was going to throw sand at her. It was a good thing Rin was the only person watching this right now.
He turned when he felt the water resist against something and turned in to grip something soft yet firm. "Tag." He opened his eyes.

Rin just stared at him. He had apparently grabbed her chest and she was too stunned to figure out a response.

There was a moment where Melvin simply stared at Rin who stared back at him. While she didn't know how to respond, Melvin was processing if he was indeed just squeezing her chest, and after a light pressure test, he shot his hands up. Yup! Those were the real deal. "Woah. Sorry! Sorry....." He let out a nervous laugh, stepping back and turning as he flushed. "My hands just..." He made a vague gesture that didn't mean anything.

Rin was soon laughing too only a lot more mirthfully, "It's okay man. Hands like to do that." She shot him a wink. Okay, that situation diffused she hoped.
"Want me to be it or do you want to play something else? Your choice, seeing as you won." Why was there emphasis?..

He was composing himself quickly, breathing deep. Accidents were best ignored and forgotten. Well, not necessarily forgotten. Melvin resisted the urge to flex his fingers under the water for a moment.
"I think we just proved why adults don't play Marco Polo that much." He looked out at the wide expanse of ocean. "Do you think you can go a bit deeper in the water?" He asked, still wanting to dive a bit deeper.
