She ran as hard as she ever had, skidding to a halt right outside the barn and sucking in air while her sides heaved.
"PEP-.. Pepper. Pepper! What's going on?!"
She looked at the barn, at the rabbits gathered around it, and felt dread grasp her heart.

+Bloodroot+ Blood’s ears flattened and he moved as the farmer approached as the bat swung. He heard the scream of a hutch rabbit, the doe. Looking to the other he shook his head. “Don’t just sit there move it! We’re faster than him, just run!” He tried to shove them to move. (( ooc: Claim Might as well, just leave and he will be killed any way ))

"YOU HEARD THE DOE, DIG!" Feverfew belted out loudly and aggressively as she joined Ani, her claws moving like a blur. She'd dug out burrows, but never had she dug with so much reckless abandon. They had to get them out.
Ginkgo didn't have time to think. He heard the doe from earlier scream. It was a terrible, blood chilling sound. Saving hutch rabbits was not part of his shtick, but it was pure rage and instinct that took over. He was beaning innocent rabbits - his own rabbits, with a stick. Did he buy them just to do that? A blind fury overtook the small, swift buck and he charged. Frith above bless them. He charged and launched at the farmer's left lower calf, sharp, bucked teeth aiming to shred his clothes and hopefully flesh. If he died, it was his time. If he didn't, maybe he could still help the hutch rabbits and his own team by distracting the farmer.

Darkbrier spotted the others digging at the dirt by the barn door and nodded to herself. Not a bad idea... but the earth was hard here. Perhaps there was a better spot or a way to help soften the earth. "Does anyone see any water or anything to help loosen the earth? Or a spot we can dig out faster? We need to move quickly here!"
But was there something else, anything else? A distraction? Those horses... "Who wants to try and rile up some horses with me? Maybe we can get him to come back outside and buy some time!"

Greenstrike bolted towards the barn as fast as he could when he learned the others were in danger. He glanced around to assess the situation and waited for an order. He heard Ani shout an order and Greenstrike responded with swiftness, furiously digging away at the dirt with urgency. He heard the shriek and shuddered, but he wouldn't stop tearing away at the earth.

Raven nodded, "Right!", and without a second thought she took off after her marli. She did her best to keep up but the bullet wound in her leg twanged with pain and slowed her down a great deal. As she finally reached the barn the door was shut, "Frith! Embleer man creature..." she turned to Althea, hoping for some answer, "How do we open that? Do man have a second entry to these things?" Raven didn't like sounding inexperienced but what else could she do? Upon being given the order to dig (despite from a runner), Raven wasted no time; diving straight into the dirt and tearing at it with her claws. The scream of the rabbit inside the barn only made her dig faster, "HURRY!" Mouse had irritably followed suit as the group headed towards the barn. "The doors shut! Oh well... looks like we'll just have to head back right guys? ...guys?" he looked around for a response but all he could see were rabbits digging away and ignoring him. Mouse grumbled loudly, "Ugh fine! I suppose I'll help... but only because I'm so nice!" he half heartedly started to tear away at the ground next to Ani, "Oi Fox! Bet I can dig faster than yoooooou!".
When Mouse heard the screech his blood ran cold and he froze in place, "Uh... m-m-maybe we should go home now..."

talltale wasn't far behind Althea as they approached the barn. Sliding to a stop behind the large doe he looked up at the doors. They were closed! why where they closed! ears flicking to and fro listening. Something sounded loud inside the barn. What in the name of Frithe was going on?

Pepper grit his teeth as the yell reached his ears. And then that horrible scream. Oh he knew what that sound meant. Darting towards he barn door once more, Pepper saw a spot on the door, the wood there was rotting and soft. But he knew none of them would be able to fit through the hole he planned to make. they needed to dig first.
Taking his large paws, Pepper began to dig furiously. He intended to get into that barn. "Over here, you lot, start digging here! I need to get into that barn"
As they began to dig, Pepper began to force his bulk against the door. Praying that it would splinter and soon. "the farmer has locked himself in the barn with the others, we need to distract him and get them out"
Pepper knew there was a good chance that he would be joining Ivy if he went into the barn but he didn't care. With that thought, Pepper forced his frame against the door as hard as he could, the door slowly beginning to splinter apart where the wood was soft. With another resounding crack, Pepper entered the barn. Hoping that Althea would keep the others out, they didn't need anymore casualties today.

Feverfew heard Pepper's call and immediately changed places. She hurried to where the grey buck had calld them to and ripped at the spot where he had indicated. Frith-rah, she was not going to stop. She heard that scream. She knew a rabbit was dead or dying.

Althea looked around her and back to the barn, shaking her head.
"Sometimes, Raven, but I don't think we'll find it in time. Oh Frith that was a scream..."
She resisted going tharn, she wasn't one of those trapped inside.
Where could they.. how... She shook her head again, fighting with instinct, listening to Pepper.
"Everyone to the door, DIG UNDER THE DOOR!"

Fox-Spot didn't even realize his brother had arrived, but when he heard his voice, he looked up briefly. "T-t-this is no time t-t-t-o compete B-brother!" he said, before going back to digging frantically, trying to clear the dirt faster than ever so Pepper could get in just as he and Althea had ordered. His paws thundered so hard against the dirt that he smacked the door in the process, making thudding sounds against it. But what did he plan to do after that? 'Frith please help them....' he screamed inwardly.

Behind him Coal could now hear scratching! They were digging in, they were coming to save them! He didn't know how they others had known they were in trouble but help was coming! "Hurry everyone! The others are digging through to us. Move the hutch boys and distract the farmer. There's hope yet. They're coming for us. They're digging under the door!

(( ooc: Claim Might as well, just leave and he will be killed any way )) The three bucks were shoved out of the half of the hutch that remained, fighting against each push and prod as they were hurried along. At least they were out of the hutch now, for what that was worth. The farmer wasn't even looking at them anymore, his attention had been pulled somewhere else...

Darkbrier moved into the field with the horses, determined to cause a ruckus the farmer couldn't ignore. She moved over to one sleeping horse and kicked it soundly in the front leg, then bolted over and began digging up and flinging every rock and dirt clod she could find at the lot, hoping she could jolt them enough in their sleeping state with a few sharp sting to get them to make some noise.
