Tangled Blankets and Thoughts

Indeed gentle touch had only been the beginning- the beginning of an experience of pure sensation and love. One that if asked to describe what had happened she would not be able to find no words for it, not now or ever. There had not even been any words just a little while ago after all- just looks, touches and other affections exchanged between the three of them.
And now she was a bit sore, but pleasantly warm and comfortable nestled in between the two of them. She had curled up more against Akakios, if only because that was how they had ended up. Her face was buried against his throat, nuzzling it lightly as she half dozed. Her wild blonde curls splayed out over his chest and shoulder. Tajne lay behind her, with an arm and wing draped over both of them. The three of them lay tangled up in blankets, not a stitch of clothing between them. And for the second time in, well, ever she wasn't embarrassed about it.
Sunlight filtered in between purple feathers from the open window, bringing in with it the scent of innumerable flowers from meadow just beyond the walls of the cottage. Outside was lovely, but the prospect of remaining here, with her two lovers, was much nicer. She pressed a kiss to Kios' throat, smiling against his skin when he made a little cute noise in his sleep. He was indeed asleep, despite his usual unwillingness to- there was no true heartbeat but his breath was slow and even. Tajne was asleep too, at least as far as she could tell- it was often difficult with cats -but his tail brushed back and forth against her leg lightly. He was probably dreaming about something, as to what exactly...who knew? Her eyes closed and it was not long before she drifted off too, dreams filled with indescribable things.
Keme remained awake after her host fell asleep- considering what all had transpired in the last few hours. By most ancient customs Asedri was truly a woman now- bedded and bled, as crude as phrase might sound it was at least accurate. In her host's case it had another facet as well, her childish mind was slowly slipping away. 'Adult' actions had helped start to cement that mindset. In some ways it was sad to see the last of her childhood gone, but she had wanted this for a while now even if she could not have explained it herself.
She turned over enough to kiss Tajne on the lips and fought the urge to laugh down when Akakios moved reflexively to cuddle up to her again. She brushed his hair away from his face. Beyond the surface he definitely was not his predecessor, in any aspect. But he did not have eons of duty weighing down on him either- he was completely new and untried. Well, not completely untried. She smiled and kissed Lament softly too. Once it was finally her time he would take it the hardest out of the two of them because he would not be able to see and understand things in the way Tajne could. In the meantime she would do what she could for him. It was tender moments like these that would help heal those wounds the quickest. Asedri would not be entirely gone and she would not be entirely herself either. Truthfully the process had already begun, just slow enough that no one would notice.
For now it was best to leave things as they were- she needed rest as well. It wasn't until Keme slipped off into dreams that they would completely relax again.

It was the cool of the night air through the window that stirred Asedri to wakefulness.
What is it? It seemed the host stirring had woken the goddess within as well.
Cold.
Well pull up the blankets. Was the amused, if tired, answer.
She tugged gently at the blankets, pulling them loose from around various limbs and carefully tucked them back in around the three of them. A somewhat lengthy process considering she did not wish to disturb either lover. Whether they would have actually noticed the cold or not was another matter- but as it was said the thought was what counted, right?
Once the mouse was comfy, snuggled down in between them, her thoughts began to wander again and it was obviously not the activities of earlier on her mind.
I know it is a bit late to be asking this, but...what is going to happen?
It is hard to say for certain, before the time comes, but each of us will ceased to be as a separate being- separate consciousness or spirit, however you prefer to think of it. This new thing will not be either of us exactly...us and yet not us. If that makes sense.
Before Keme's stone had been fused to her skin that sort of logic would have never made sense at all. Things either were, or they weren't...but she understood better now with time, experience and exposure to the goddess. It does, actually.
Something still bothers you? Though the inflection indicated a question it truly was not. She knew something was still bothering her host, but this was a way of coaxing to get her to voice it.
Will they be okay?
That question was expected, it was something Asedri had thought about often in the beginning, though not nearly as much now. They will be, once they understand. She had tried to explain it to Akakios before, but hearing something was not the same of seeing it happen or at the very least seeing it in front of oneself. Hopefully he would not balk at the idea of being there for them when the change came. If he saw it first hand then perhaps it would make things easier for him.
The answer seemed to placate her host for the time being at least. You are still tired, go back to sleep, Dri. Things will feel more settled in the morning. Once her host was asleep again she followed shortly afterwards. With any luck they would sleep until morning now.
