Freya screeched when she was pulled down, still smushing cupcakes into Kettil as much as she could, and her laughter pealed out of her even as he tried to wrestle her down to stop her from making a mess. She was having the time of her life - until mommy got mad. Her laughter cut off in a strangled sound, and she squirmed in his arms, trying to stand up and look innocent. But covered in cupcake goop was hardly going to help that. "Sooorry Xiuuuu." She murmured, legitimately contrite if not just a wee bit overexaggerant about her guilt. She was giving Xiu the best rendition of puppy eyes she ever could.. But she still smushed some goop on Kettil's face. One last time.

He reached forward and pressed his hand against Freya's face, though he froze a bit when Xiu approached them.
Kettil stared up at her all wide eyed and pouty, "She started it," he said sulkily. "I am just finishing it for her," he was being petulant and he knew it. His hand smooshed up against his ghoulfriend's face while she smushed a cupcake against his face.
"She's so mean to meeeeeeee~," he wailed suddenly.

Were they seriously--...sigh. Xiu trotted away from them, but returned a moment later with two slightly damp cloths in hand. She set one down on the counter, and then turned to eye the pair with a little frown. The puppy eyes won't work here. "Freya, Kettil, if you wanted to have a food fight, I wouldn't have minded...so long as you did it outside of the Home Eek room."
There was a pause, and then she puffed out her cheeks. "And I am not your mother."
Of course, she wasn't really helping her case when she crouched down in front of Kettil, lifting the damp cloth to wipe off his face. She did so briskly until his face was clean of mushed cupcake, turning to grab the second, clean cloth before proceeding to do the same with Freya.
All the while, her face was still like: >:T

Freya lifted her head up when Xiu came back with a damp cloth, and happily let her clean her face. "We won't does it again, Xiu. I promise!"
See? She was the good one.

He had let Xiu wipe his face clean. Kettil was the best boil, and let Mommy Xiu clean his face. Then he stared at Freya with an almost scandalized expression as he shifted his position to hug Xiu about the waist as he continued to wail as he held onto her.
"NOOOOO. DON'T LET HER LIE TO YOU. SHE IS A MEANIEFACE AND TELLS ME THAT I SMELL," he was carrying on ... Playfully of course. "As soon as you turn your back she's probably going to do something bad and blame it on me because she is full of ... poop."
He tilted his head and stuck his tongue out at Freya secretly. Then he tilted his face up and tearfully smiled up at Xiu like a good innocent boil.

After setting down the cloth, Xiu buried her face in her hands and let out a loud groan. After a few seconds passed, she dropped her hands, turning to shoot pleading looks at Alex, Mort, and Danny before glancing down at the pair again--
--Kettil what are you doing.
The baku wasn't sure whether to keep frowny-faced or to smile, as this was really starting to get ridiculous. In the end, after a bit of debate, she settled on the latter, emitting a heavy sigh before the corners of her lips pulled upwards in a wry smile. "Alright, you two. Freya, you're a good ghoul, and Kettil, you're a good boil. And if both of you get up right now, I won't make you clean up the mess you made."
She was willing to do the clean up if it meant that they would stop treating her like their mother, okay.

Make a mess and NOT clean up? Freya was so there. Even if Kettil did just say she was a poop.
He'd get his due for that one. Later.
"Thanks yeh Xiu!" Freya got up quickly, and gathered her arms around the baku, giving her a warm, affectionate hug and a cheek rub. She might have also tried to smack Kettil away with her hip, but that was totally an accident. Totally. "Yehr teh best ever!"

That's funny Freya. Kettil was just considering becoming a celibate monk just then. How odd that streams of consciousness should cross like that.
His arms dropped from her waist and lifted up to the air, "OKAY!" He was suddenly all cheerful smiles as he got back up to his feet. He stumbled from the hip bump.
There was a pause as he stared at Freya.
He suddenly moved to pick her up so he could walk off with her after he secured her in a way that he was carrying her on his shoulder.
"BYE NOW~."

With a laugh, Xiu found herself hugging Freya back, and she reached out to give Kettil a light pat on the head before he got up. Watching as the latter threw the former over his shoulder and rushed out, the baku stared after them and then sighed.
Welp, time to clean up. As she went to get another damp cloth to wipe up the cupcake bits, she offered Alex, Mort, and Danny a sheepish smile. "Sorry about that. And Danny--how can I help you?"
Wet cloths in hand, she began to wipe off the counters.

Freya's head swam as she was lifted up into the air and carted out. She would not go without a fight, and Kettil had a kicking and screaming ghoulfriend in his arms as they left the baking club.

Trying herself in cooking apparently wasn't Eisheth's best idea. The alchemist still remembered her cooking experience during the Fright Night, so the rational part of her mind suggested avoiding cooking for the rest of her life, but the booth was run by the adorable ghoul she'd encountered at the auction, so Eisheth simply failed to resist the temptation of seeing her once more.
Fortunately, she was far from childish intentions to impress Xiu. She was simply curious, and besides, she tried to convince herself, cooking couldn't be that different from alchemizing: both were in fact the processes of changing the substance.
She picked up a simple vanilla recipe, made the base, and put them in the oven. Unluckily, the alchemist was too distracted staring at Xiu, so her cupcakes were... a little burnt.

Eisheth knew the ways of alchemy really well: and again, it was absolutely inappropriate experience for the current situation. Probably, cooking worked completely different. The alchemist decided to balance out her overburnt cupcakes with the icing, but put too much curds: the result resembled a small mountain of glaze. It didn't really look edible for anyone outside Famine...

The decoration didn't turn well either. Eisheth decided to go with a simple yet stylish way, and decorated her so-called-cupcake with the creamy bones... but alas, she wasn't a Conquest artisan, and her "bones" looked more like a minipet's poop. White minipet poop. Vanilla flavoured. However, the alchemist didn't let this minor failure disappoint her; instead, she passed her cupcakes to Xiu looking very proud of herself and her creation. " Did I make it right?", she asked as if already knowing the reply won't be negative. POINTS: 23

Muka was drawn the faint scents of baked goods. His sense of smell was not spectacular and in fact the smell was strong, but to him it was just a hint on the wind enough to bring the rotund boil grinning and creeping along.
He bobbled his head and observed those already baking. He wasn't much of a cook himself and generally stuck with raw meat or simply paying someone else for the food.
The seeds he'd left his dorm with were not so much that he'd simply toss them away so he made an executive decision to just go ahead and try baking himself. He chosed the Blood-Red Velvet batter, finding the color to be the most appealing, and sort of snooped on all the other bakers until it came time to bake them.
As the cupcakes popped out, he poked them. Hmm.. slightly rubbery. "Still edible!" He giggled.
