"I thought...I...that I was really, um...really actually lost," Shine admitted sheepishly, digging her toe into the dirty floor. Relief flooded over her as she watched him safely take the first step -- and panic set in when he didn't make the second.

She moved veeerrryy slowly, hoping to not set off any trap.

Shine wasn't very sure why it was the pirates that owed them anything. This dumb maze did. It owed her like fifty bags of candy.
Why wasn't there a Fifty Bags of Candy treasure?

The thought of such a treasure was making her stomach cramp up, and she hadn't brought much candy with her. Shine plucked a sticky, vaguely candy-esque thing from a bracelet on her arm, popped it into her mouth, and made a face that was clearly dissatisfied.

Shine took her first step into the very ominous room-of-terrible (which could probably describe most of this place, really) with one eye closed. When she didn't suffer a terrible fate, she gave her bare feet a thumbs-up for some reason, and followed in Aymet's footsteps.
