But althea was near, he was in the clear now. Even if he woke the hawk he would be n the safety of numbers.... or at least one big bad owsla. Thank Firth she was around!

Aurrie Beaues The hawk. Oh dear. The doe's eyes went wide as saucers. She was sure it would have heard that rustle. Total - 50
The marli was getting quite peeved. Seemed all the youngsters were just running as fast as they damn well pleased and never mind the embleer hawk.
She'd watched, wearily, as the fumbling doe woke the bird. Staring at it, daring him to try for another round, the hawk had seemed to keep at bay until the doe gave herself away and he couldn't resist.
Nevermind that the owsla doe was right there to met him. She didn't bother calling for Crow on this one, not that he would've been good for much anyway. Gnashing her teeth, she moved forward as the hawk began his decent.[[Only Althea will roll. Since the doe is right there, Althea need only get better than a 1 to be effective. Higher than 4 and Feverfew won't even suffer an injury.]]

Apparently the hawk had taken note of the big marli and hastened his dive, snapping his beak and catching Feverfew's ear before Althea was on him. Crumpling his body beneath hers, the owsla tore the bird away from the doe; landing on top of him in the grass.
Althea scrambled to get away from the beak and talons herself, though she tried to keep some weight on his wings in an effort to pin him until Feverfew had cleared the area to attend to her wound.
The marli kept the bird preoccupied until Feverfew had gone from sight before letting it up. Rumpled as the damned thing was, Althea was partly amazed he could take flight at all with his feathers askew like that. She could only imagine the nasty things he must be calling her as he screed from the sky, circling with his keen eyes.
In time he'd landed on his branch again, hungry and annoyed. It took quite a bit longer for him to sleep this time, and only when Althea was sure he wasn't an immediate threat did she come out of hiding.
FEVERFEW'S EAR HAS BEEN TORN.
Whether or not you'd like her to be edited to show this is up to you <3
The extent of the damage is up to you, as well. Could heal fully, or her ear could be broken. Chunk missing. What have you.
Her score for today will not count, but she's welcome to try again tomorrow

Althea came to the rescue! The doe scrambled to safety, but not before her ear was ripped. Pain seared through it and she could smell blood, but she didn't think about it. It was only when she was safe and Althea had returned that she bothered to relax and groom the damned thing.

Eyes wide and heart pounding, Luke is getting quite paranoid that he will wake up the hawk with his clumsy feet. "This time I'll pretend like I'm Falcon and dash through the grass" he said to himself to try and calm down his nerves. "Here I go......." 1/10 Total: 7

And so he continues to dash towards the lake where the tree is, avoiding any holes that might slow him down while trying not to step on any twigs at the same time. 3/10 Total: 25

Heart still pounding, he continues to dash between the grass, around the prickly bush, past another contestant, and was going at full speed towards the river bank.4/10 Total: 31

Digging his nails hard into the soil, he made a sharp turn upon reaching the river bank and started to dash back to where he started, still with his ears flat against his body. He did not even dare take a peek at the sleeping hawk...5/10 Total: 35

It cost him some time. "I'm Falcon I can do this I don't want to get attacked by that big hawk we saw at the beginning of the race OxO;; " he said, under his breath trying to keep his paranoia under control and urging his legs to dash faster.6/10 Total: 36

He could feel his heart sink all the way down towards his gut.. He must've stepped onto a twig while not paying attention to where he was running and rustled the patch of grass! "Please do not wake up, please do not wake up.... " he whispered. Afraid, another shot of adrenaline shot through his body again. 7/10 Total: 44

Avoiding a twig here and there, he knows he has to hurry himself up with the last couple of meters before his legs gives in. He could hear the hawk attacking other contestants behind him in the distance as he dashes closer towards the end... 8/10 Total: 50

*Luuk is getting a name change. i'll keep using it for these races to keep it consistent and to avoid any confusion*Picking up one final burst of speed, he dashes past a gopher hole, leaped over twigs and getting hit in the face with low laying branches, and yet he does not seem to care that some of his fur got snatched by the thorn bush as he dashed past it. He kept on going, pretending to be another rabbit in his mind, in hopes to at least make it in top 3..somehow.... 9/10 Total: 62
