1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards? Cursed Skinwalkers need corpse powder to be turned. Oyohusa learned to make this magic powder from the bodies of the dead. Once given the powder it rips any humanity from the person/soq and turns them into corrupt and evil creatures.

2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off?
After receiving the corpse powder they are compelled to kill the next animal they see...usually a predator and then they drape the skin over their body. The magic of the corpse powder adheres the pelt to their body and the curse is in full effect.

Name: Jerina
Temper: Obsessed
Personality: Jerina is driven by a need to be accepted by others. Though in some twisted way she does not see this is not possible. She is very unstable and her moods change in a minute. At one instance a look of fear may make her feel powerful and loved but at another glance she feels as though that look means that there is no love in the other for her. She likes to always have at least one prisoner who she hopes will love her. These prisoners often feel her violent unpredictable wrath. Some may escape and others may die while in her keep. She is not only obsessed with this desire but confused at why things don't seem to go her way. She is stuck between who she was and the evilness that she now is and seems to be tormented by the curse. She would be easily manipulated because of her need for acceptance, but her violent instability would make such an endevour very dangerous for the one who tried it.

Brief History: Jerina was raised in a loving herd and was a kind soquili who had everything she every wanted, including a loving lifemate. Her brother had left the herd only to come back one night as newly turned skinwalker. He wreaked havoc on the herd, killing those that he had once loved and kidnapping his sister. It was as his prisoner she becamed cursed. After the curse she felt nothing but rage and emptiness. Her whole world was torn from her. As a cursed skinwalker she felt cursed not proud. Her brother was the one who cursed her after he himself. Before she even had her pelt she tried to kill her brother but ended up running off in fear of being killed herself. It was then she ran into a bobcat glaring at her. She let loose her anger and killed the creature and in crazed impulsivity adorned herself with it's skin. This act made her feel the power of the curse and her new found ability to kill seemed to be a way for her to gain again all that she had lost.

How Were They Cursed? After her brother had kidnapped her she was full of fear and looked for ways to escape, but her brother was faster and stronger than she was. So she felt trapped. Her brother seemed to only want to share this gift with her and to bring more evil to the world. He saw her kindness as the perfect thing to turn evil. So after dragging her to the cursed graveyard he was able to get more corpse powder to turn her as well. So others could see that even the most kind-hearted could be made into evil as well. He also hoped that by cursing her they would live as feared legends together. Instead they almost killed each other.

What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Jerina is looking for her herd and old lifemate. Though after her brothers attack they no longer reside in the same area. Her emptiness makes her obsessed with those that she once loved but can do so no longer. She wants them to know her power, worship, and love her still. She wants them by her side as prisoners. Though who knows how long they will last as such.

1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change?
It depends on the skinwalker, but some do. Some lose all memory of their past lives, while others continue to fight a losing battle over the turmoil of remorse and their new ‘personality’.
2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker?
No skinwalker can feel love and likely wouldn’t care about their family or loved ones any longer. Because their feelings can be increased, they might even hate their family members far more than they had originally and would likely kill them.


Name: Abaddon (meaning- Anglicized form of Greek Abaddōn, meaning "destruction, ruination." In the New Testament bible, this is the name of the place of destruction. And it is a name given to the angel of the bottomless pit, the Destroyer Apollyon. )
Temper: Destructive
Personality: Abaddon has always loved destruction and to destroy. Given the chance he would destroy the whole world if he could, if only to watch it shatter piece by piece. He is also sly and sneaky, gathering information wherever he can. The stallion has learned that information is precious as it can be sold and traded. It can also come in handy in a bind or if you need a bit of blackmail. Unlike some skinwalkers, Abaddon has no emotional turmoil within him. He willingly sought out the curse powder and relishes in his new found powers.
Brief History: Ever since Abaddon popped from his basket he has been a destructive colt. Anything that his sisters made he would immediately destroy as soon as he could. Sure his parents’ would scold him and he was often in trouble, yet there was something about the joy in smashing things that made him feel so elated. As he grew, the stallion learned to keep his destructive tendencies in check. It hadn’t taken him long to figure out that other’s like you a whole lot less if you destroy everything that they create. Instead, he focused his energy into listening and meeting others. Soon he realized that other soquili enjoyed talking about anything and everything. Often times they would share knowledge or even deep dark secrets. Knowledge was power, and if there was anything that Abaddon enjoyed almost as much as destruction, it was power.

One day, the stallion came across mention of the shaman Oyohusa and his ‘curse powder’. He heard it said that the powder would give you great powers but at a terrible cost. Intrigued, Abaddon dedicated his time into finding out all that he could about this powder and his properties. It seemed that the cost of this power was your soul, or at least that was the rumor. Yet it was said that the powder gave you the power to turn into other creatures such as cats and wolves. The notion excited him, if he could gain this power it would give him all he needed to be able to destroy again without care.

Finally, amidst his search, Abaddon came across the man and his powder and took the opportunity. Some say he sold his soul to the devil that day, others say he had no soul to begin with. Yet to this day, Abaddon has never regretted his choice.
How Were They Cursed? Abaddon searched out the Shaman Oyohusa to get a bit of the powder.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Currently Abaddon is establishing his role as a newly turned walker. He is experimenting with his new found powers and looking to establish a more permanent residence.

1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change? A skinwalker lives for bloodshed and have too much anger and bloodlust to feel remorse.

2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker? Those who the soq once loved become bitter enemies in their mind. They are unable to love and will willing destroy or manipulate those who were once close to them.


Name:Tlalco –aztec god of rain, storm, water, thunder
Temper: Machiavellian
Personality: Tlalco was once a warm and caring soq but because of betrayal his sense of morels has corroded. As a skinwalker he often lashes out and is prone to destruction in violent fits. He seeks the blood of his enemies and will often plans his enemies destruction on his more lucid days. His mind when in possession of his wits is quite crafty but often blood rage dulls his wits.
Brief History: Tlalco herd was betrayed by friend who they once trusted who out of fear tricked his older sister into becoming a slave to a greedy Kalona and through negligence killed her.
How Were They Cursed? Tlalco could not protect his sister from the insane Kalona who took her. He was to young and week at the time. While other soq see being a skinwalker as a curse –Tlalco see being a skinwalker as a blessing. He would rather give to insanity if it makes him stronger and able to in act his revenge.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? (Does not have to be long. Mostly curious about what they might be up to these days.) Tlalco has come down from the mountains duing once of his more lucid periods to find and destroy the kalona who once killed her. Gone is the once affection he held for his sister or even the original feeling of revenge. Instead in his mind the kalona who killed her is just his victim and none of his victems will ever escape him.

Well guys, it took a lot of reading and a lot of deliberating, but discussing it with my other judge (Mindsend), we narrowed it down. . . and then narrowed it down to the final winners.
