She watched him intently as he set up the telescope. Didn't seem to take very long at all.
Pushing herself up off the ground, Vyth dusted her backside off before strolling on over. "Which planet first then?" She was oddly enough quite curious to look at the sky through his telescope. Having never done it before she rolled about the idea of what things would look like a little closer up.

"Hmmm." Gabe looked through the telescope and positioned it as he wanted. "If you look through, you'll see Venus. She's the Morning and the Evening Star; first up, last down. Wheb you wish on the first star you see at night, you're actually wishing on Venus."
Astronomy, like aliens, was Gabe's area of expertise.

Leaning down, she closed one eye and peered into the telescope. Making a subtle 'o' shape with her mouth as she looked at the planet. It wasn't anything great, but it was closer than anything she had ever seen before that wasn't computer generated for television.
"So its not actually a Blue Star like in Pinocchio that you wish on? Or shooting stars?" Well then she had been doing this whole wishing thing wrong!

"Well, you can wish on a shooting star for sure, but yeah, that first star you see at night is a planet." He said.
"And," he looked through the telescope and adjusted, "over here is Jupiter." He stepped away for her to look. "It's actually the only other visible planet right now; the rest really are stars."

"Hmmm..." She pursed her lips lightly while peeking through the telescope once more to look at the larger planet. It didn't really seem all that much bigger than Venus, but well. They were a bajillion miles away from it.
She wondered what space was like...
"What other planets become visible?"

"Well, there are three other visible planets - Mercury, Mars, and Saturn." Gabe was clearly enjoying getting to teach things. "They start to be visible at different times - Mercury will start being visible in the mornings about the middle of the month; Mars is really only going to be visible right around sunset on two days; Saturn is a morning laney and will be visible later this month."
The more you know.

"Huh." Standing up straight, she looked up at the sky. Crossing her arms and grasping an elbow in each palm. "So can you not see any of the other planets without a telescope or whatever?" Turning her head slightly, she gave him a curious look.
Obviously he had all the answers about the stars.

"Yeah, actually! Not with this one, though, it has to be an astronomer's one." Gabe explained. "That's why Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto weren't named for a long time."
"If you're interested, I could see if my dad could get us into his observatory sometime?" He suggested. "It's a neat experience, and hey, we could see if we can find Toutatis?" He joked.

"Ohhhhh. Huh. I never knew that." Then again really knew very little to begin with. So it was kind of a moot statement.
Clasping her hands together, a look of pure excitement came to her face. "Really? That would be so cool Gabe! I've never been inside a real life observatory." Though she had to laugh a little about his joke on trying to find Toutatis. "That would be kind of hard. Toutatis is not a orbital celestial body like Venus or Mars. It is an asteroid."

"Astronomy is really fascinating," Gabe said. "Or, you know, maybe I just say that 'cause it fascinates me." He coughed.
His entire expression lit up at her enthusiasm. "I can definitely talk to him then! He's taken me in a few times and he wants to meet you anyway so I'm sure it'd be no problem." He said. Though yeah, it might be kind of hard to find Toutatis if it's an asteroid."

"Sounds like a plan." She continued to smile brightly for a minute. "Hmm you hungry? We could roast some weenies and heat up some beans or something if you like. Have some smores afterwards for dessert."
Admittedly, she was beginning to get pretty hungry herself. She hadn't really eaten much of a breakfast or lunch because she had been so excited for today. That and she'd spent most of the day loading things into the truck.
"We can try our hand and fishing down at the lake sometime tomorrow. See if we can catch and fish for dinner."

Gabe couldn't help but smile. He was thrilled that she liked his idea for a date; it was a little nontraditional, but, hey, it would be interesting. He hoped. "Oh, food does sound good." He admitted. His own eating schedule was normally fairly off; he had barely eaten but snacks that day, though that wasn't entirely unusual for him.
"Huh, we are going whole hog on this camping thing. Sure, fishing should be great!" He said, laughing.

Going anywhere, date or not, with Gabe always made Vyth excited. She just liked spending time with him. No matter what they were doing exactly. "Of course!" She grinned, glad that he was up for the idea of fishing. But that was tomorrow's activity. Not sure if they would honestly catch anything sizable but it was more about having fun then really finding something to eat. She had brought enough food to last them the weekend.
She moved over to the tree that she had hung the food containers in. Lowering one down slowly before bending over to rummage through it. Wiggling her hips back and forth slightly as she hummed a little song. "You want buns?"

Gabe was not normally one to get all that distracted by sexy, which was probably for the best, but even he couldn't ignore Vyth wiggling her hips like that.
He had to shake his head to actually get himself to pay attention to her question. "Sure, buns sound great." He said.

She couldn't help but notice the little lapse in time between her question and his answer. A Cheshire like grin spread across her lips as she grabbed the package of hot dogs, bag of buns and the two pokers and turned around.
"There's ketchup and mustard in there too if you want some." She flipped one of the pokers around and handed it to him handle first. "Just stick your weenie on there and put it over the fire. Cook it to your liking then shove it into a bun. Vio-la~"
