Kieran rode through the streets, ahead of Leon, Isadora and Sain. Scanning the buildings he passed for anything out of the ordinary, getting more and more upset with the things he saw. Doors left wide open to reveal ransacked homes, broken glass littered the street, an abandoned toy left on the ground where a child had dropped it during the evacuation. "How dare someone do this to beautiful Melior, again!" He said, loud enough for the others to hear him. "I swear on my honour as the Deputy Captain Commander of the Royal Knights of Crimea that whoever did this will pay! It will be exactly like the time I faced that army of bandits with nothin---- AHA!" He cried suddenly, pulling on the reigns. Horse veered suddenly to the right towards what appeared to be a perfectly normal house, holding his axe in one hand near the head, Kieran only paused long enough to snatch the hand-axe hanging from his mounts left flank and slip it into a leather loop on his hip before leaping off his horse while it was still moving.

Kieran had spotted something that didn't make sense with the current scene, anywhere else it would have appeared completely normal, here however it was so out of place that it had convinced the red paladin to leap off a moving horse. A closed door of what had once been a shop of sorts.

The city had been evacuated by people who were leaving in too much of a hurry to worry about closing doors behind them and then ransacked by bandits who weren't exactly known for having proper manners. Every other door on this street was either left wide open or bashed to bits, this one however was closed and in perfect condition.

"I've found you scum!" He cried as he hit the ground and rolled forwards towards the door. "The Great Kieran, Deputy Captain Commander of the Crimean Royal Guard will punish you!" His booming voice was not only loud enough to alert anyone inside the small shop, but carried throughout the entire city. Coming up out of the roll into a sprint he roared a battlecry. "Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!" he hollered, smashing shoulder first into the door, both hands on his axe with the head positioned behind him.

The door didn't so much as fly open as it did explode. The hinges on the door proved to be strong and well made, befitting a shop, the wood however proved no match for Kieran's body which had the advantage of momentum and being clad in metal. There was a loud breaking sound as Kieran went through the closed door, leaving a Paladin shaped hole behind him.

Not bothering to waste time and wait to see who or whatever was on the other side, Kieran brought his large axe around in a might horizontal swoop, as he was still propelled forwards by his run about halfway into the shop. If anyone had come close to the door in order to investigate all the shouting, or was standing anywhere within a foot and a half of the middle of the room, they were currently in danger of "Getting hacked first and axing questions later"

Ewan

"If it pleases you," Ewan began as the two made their way down the streets in the hurried chaos of the moment, pulling down the layers over his mouth. "The main parts of most mines and bombs are manufactured using glyphs made by mages like our unit. As long as we don't do anything that sets them off directly, such as stepping on them or activating the rune by accident, we should be able to deactivate them in small groups. If not, at least we can lessen the detonations with our magic. It's going to be tricky...But we need to at least find them, one by one." He gave her a reassuring wink, now that the serious moment was delivered and he had a chance to breathe.

"It's going to take more than a few explosions to take me out. You just need to speak up a bit now! I'll leave the finding of the explosives to you and your men, just get us there and we'll get the job done one way or another!"

His reassuring smile dropped as his layers were readjusted, a momentary grim thought filling his mind as he ducked into a nearby home after being called in by one of the Watch members. 'Even if it kills me, is the cliche line to say at this point.' "Keep yourself safe, Amelia darling." A playful farewell, much to the contrast of the current moment. Just his style, wasn't it?

'I need to stop ready those cheesy novels.'

Great General Wallace

~Valor is the contempt of death and pain.~

Wallace

Wallace, having been caught completely off guard, had been thrown off his feet by the blast. As he noisily regained his feet he grumbled something about bring too old for this sort of thing and then bellowed "Oi! Who the hell thought it was a good idea to blow up the building next to me! They're going to feel my steel inside of them!" He had actually been knocked unconscious for a few moments and missed the episode with the red paladin, who at that moment had smashed right through a door. "Wait? Is that Kent?"

Before he could think about it anymore he heard Amelia's order. Forgetting that the only members of the part of the army under his command were the officers who had followed him when he got lost he shouted to Amelia" I'll take my men and search the buildings!" With that done he charged off into the city brandishing his spear. "C'mon lads! We're going to check every building for more explosives!"

"Come on! Aren't you finished soon, twerp?!"

"Don't ye know there be fighting right outside!"

"This plan is the stupidest plan ever!"

A lone Shadow Guild member was tinkering away on the contraption in the middle of the room. He would be done faster, but his company of bandits was pestering him, making him lose concentration. Not only was the constant badgering making it difficult to focus, but one wrong move and they'd blow up along with the building. The mission hinged on them setting off as many bombs as possible and it would dramatically increase the difficulties of setting off a bomb when you were dead. "If you would just quiet down, this would be much easier, not to mention the enemy wouldn't be able to find us at easy..." he murmured, a barely audible sigh. Of course, the bandits always had a knack for hearing the wrong things. "Huuuuunh?! Ye talkin' back to us, midget? Don't ya know we're Drake's finest?! Show us respect, ya shithead!"

The Shadow Guild member suppressed a comment about how Drake's finest probably wouldn't partake in a mission that would leave them dead, but he didn't need more distractions. It was taking long enough time as it was...luckily, he was almost finished...

"Boys! Hang on!" The bandit on lookout by the door exclaimed. Looking through the keyhole, he had very little vision, but at least he could see directly in front of the door. "I think someone is heading this way! He's headin' here real quick like! I think we're about to have company--"

Not being allowed to finish, the scraggly door suddenly shattered. The bandit at the door was sent flying into his comrades. A bright red armored man dramatically made his entrance, sending shrapnel, splinters and bandits in all directions. Four bandits that didn't get knocked over readied their weapons as the other three slowly staggered to their feet. "We've been had, lads! Get 'im!"

The Shadow Guilder facepalmed as he witnessed the sight. He finally managed to arm the bomb as he quickly got back up to his feet, drawing his dagger to fend off the sudden visitor. He only hoped the other bomb squads were having an easier time...

-------------------

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Things were working out better than expected. So far, no bomb squad had been compromised. The Learanians were acting much too passive and careful. They were wasting too much time regrouping, talking, planning...he knew taking care of an exploding port city wasn't part of your routine, but he had imagined the enemy could handle it better. Quickly assigning squads sectors of the city to clear shouldn't be that difficult. So far, he was not impressed. If this was all the Learanian spirit could muster, then maybe they could even fight them head on...

"Leader." A Shadow Guilder appeared before him. The Man retracted his ocular, turning to face his subordinate. "At ease. What's your report?"

"Learanian reinforcements are marching this way. They have Tibarn with them, Leader."

A small stare of disapproval showed in his eyes. The forces that should've clashed with Viscen's was coming. That reset everything back to normal. Of course, if Viscen had half a brain, he would charge at the enemy's flank, since they'd have no way to retreat, dealing a huge blow to the Learanian forces. But, as things were, Viscen was going to head back to the capital with his forces, returning as the triumphant general that kept Pentheus from falling into Learanian hands, without barely losing any of his forces, meanwhile, The Shadow Guild would be the sacrificial pawns.

He refused to be a pawn.

He once again looked through his ocular, spotting one of the three bomb squads getting attacked. So far it was a lone man, but who knew when that would change.

"Our time just got more strained. You. Help with the retreat procedure here. I will join the fray."

The Man handed the Shadow Guilder the ocular. "But, Leader..."

"I will join you as soon as I can. It is still far too early for me to perish. Not until everything is set in motion. Focus on the task at hand."

The Shadow Guilder saluted a he joined the effort, as the Man turned and started making his way to the compromised team. It was strange that out of an entire army...only a confused fool was making a move.

Kieran's axe barely missed preforming a nose job on the bandit he'd sent flying with his entry. With a loud whoosh it completed it's swing, but rather then grip it tight and ready it for another swing, Kieran instead relaxed his grip at the end of the swing. The shaft slipped through his fingers and lead by the momentum flew from his grip. If Leon, Isadora or Sain had followed through the door behind the paladin they would have crossed the threshold just in time to have Kieran's axe thunk into the wooden wall directly beside their head.

Swiftly and now with his hands free Kieran drew and threw his hand-axe at one of the bandits still struggling to his feet. The bandit of course had no chance of dodging and the axe thudded into his chest, knocking him back to the ground.

Kieran let out a loud whoop of triumph. "There's only six of you?" He cried, "That's not nearly enough to stop, Deputy Captain Commander of the Royal Knights of Crimea! The Great Kieran!" He roared, charging at the bandits with his fists raised. When he was close enough he twisted his body and threw out a vicious kick aimed at the stomach of the closest bandit. Kieran may have been unarmed but as he was armoured any strike the bandits took would be more damaging because of it.

"You can't blame yourself. Blaming yourself and falling into depression, it won't change anything.
You have to look →forward→. Remember what you have here now.
Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from
Elibe or anywhere else!"

{Amelia}
Amelia tried not to let the stress of the situation get to her as she hurried along with Ewan and the other members of her unit. Ewan detached after some time, likely to help in deactivating the glyphs that were possibly being used to detonate those bombs. Either we find the people assembling them, or the bombs, or we find the glyphs, because if either doesn't work, then there's less chance for an explosion... Amelia watched a small group of swordsmen and a mage hurry into a large building down the street to check for explosives, and turned her gaze briefly to the sky. "Tibarn, where are you...? You aren't hurt, are you?" She frowned. "You wouldn't let those bandits clip the Hawk King's wings..."

She let Kieran continue on his way, quietly directing two of the cavaliers to follow him and ensure that he was safe before moving on to make sure extraction was going smoothly. Units were separating out and investigating the buildings one by one, and another group was fanning out to go through the alleyways to check for glyphs or other methods of spreading flame and thus increase the enemy's ability for causing explosions.

"...Now, where are you..." Amelia muttered, reaching up with one hand and brushing her hair away from her eyes. The masked man from before... Her other hand tightened on the shaft of her weapon. I will find you. "Flush them out like the rats they are," she hissed under her breath, gripping her spear in both hands now. The biggest targets would fall the hardest, cause the most collateral damage. The fact that they were resorting to bombs to begin with, like the masked man said, showed clearly that they had no intention of using Pentheus, but merely keeping it out of Learanian hands. Like a little kid breaking a toy so someone else can't play with it. The question is, what places would be the biggest targets...

Her eyes turned towards the north end of the city, to the tall tower of the Pentheus chapel. Like that. "Sigma unit soldiers, with me! You, too!" she called, pointing at a nearby Mage. "And you--" She pointed at a swordsman emerging from the alleyway empty-handed, "--Go to the building with the green roof over there, the house with the damaged chimney, inform Ewan, the redheaded mage, to make his way to the chapel when he's done." With that under control, she set off at a run down the road with the soldiers accompanying her, leaving Ewan to his work.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly. The Shadow Guild were moving along as they should be, assembling the explosives and preparing the incendiary devices. The city was in an uproar, with soldiers running to and fro, finally funneling into buildings to search for the bombs. Not like it took them long enough to assemble! We caught them off-guard, I suppose. Makes sense it took them some time to coordinate their movements. Murphy adjusted his hood over his head and took off across the rooftops after ensuring that the bomb had been readied and the Shadow Guild unit, a short girl with buzzed blond hair, was moving according to her orders. They were to retreat once their job had been completed, after all.

Not that Drake expected much of them to return. Judging by his commentary before he had sent Murphy to Pentheus -- safer to send an intermediary than to arrive personally, after all, especially now that Murphy knew the same General that had tried and failed to kill him was also here -- he believed near everyone in Pentheus would die for the cause. Of course, the intent was for the Learanians to die with them.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Tyce had other plans, though. Murphy was more than happy to help with those plans.

Murphy peered into the distance, where he knew Viscen to be running. It was difficult to tell where precisely the aerial units were, but they were far into the distance; if they were approaching the city, they couldn't have changed directions more than a few minutes ago. Still accounted for. Things are still proceeding as they should... Murphy slipped through another two buildings on his way back to Tyce, aiding the Shadow Guild members inside with the assembly of the bombs before finally returning to where Tyce was observing the plan in motion.

"Sir." Murphy spoke up after a few seconds, long enough to allow Tyce ample time to adjust to his arrival. He adjusted his kerchief as he began to speak, returning his hands to his sides when he was done. "The arming process is going well. The Learanian efforts are coalescing more rapidly now, but their progress is still outstripped by the efforts to retreat." Murphy's eyes briefly glanced to the window to consider what was going on outside, then returned to the back of Tyce's head. "That is all."

Ladies how about a lovely dinner?

Sain saw Kieran speed on by. The paladin REALLY didn't want to be in that guy's path so he went in a completely different direction from him. He was sure that was going to shorten his life by a good chunk if he went the same direction. As he was riding on Homeros, he suddenly remembered Kent and realized that this is probably how Kent felt about him to begin with.

"Damn I was annoying," He said, "Either that or Kent tolerated me more." He would have thought about it more if he didn't suddenly remember he needed to save the city. Sain stopped at a building he knew had some people in them. He wasn't sure if it was friend or foe in there though, so he grabbed a steel lance and charged in. He broke the door off his hinges to get in. He saw some bandits and started going at them, adrenaline and justice fueling him.

Oh no! He's running straight at us with his fists raised! He is much too strong we must bow down to him!

...thought no one. Ever.

The bandits' initial surprise had been replaced with confidence. They thought they had gotten charged at by a squad, but it turned out to only be one man. And he had just willingly disarmed himself.

True, one of them had been knocked down, if not killed, but they still had a number advantage. The bandit closest to Kieran merely knocked his strike aside using his axe, and the other four piled on him, each of them grabbing hold of a limb. The last one snickered. "Ya fool! Didja think ya could just run headfirst into Drake's finest with only yer guts and fists? Think again, scrub!" He laughed as the other bandits joined in on the mocking. Unless something happened, and quick, it would be the end of Kieran, Deputy Captain Commander of the Royal Knights of Crimea.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 23, 2013 2:45 pm

The bandit readied his axe. "Well then, ya twit, yer gonna regret thinking yer some sort of hero. Have fun in death!"

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

"Oi! Ya hear sumthing?! It sounds like a scre--"

"EEEMEEEEEEEEE CANNONBAAAAAAAAALL!"

With a sudden crash, the roof shattered, wood sent everywhere. The bandits didn't even have time to react before the one not holding Kieran down was obliterated by the sudden impact of whatever had just exploded upon them. His broken body in pieces, the bandits let go of the cavalier, shocked to see their comrade destroyed in a split second. They still couldn't comprehend what had just happened.

As the dust settles, let's go back to a few moments earlier...

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show....The dark man loomed outside the city. His giant figure would be intimidating to anyone seeing him. His blue eyes was red with exhaustion. "Damn! I slept far too long!" He said in a high pitched, yet coarse voice. "Dey must've marched into da city by now! Aaaaah I'm late!"

He was scratching his head like crazy, his mohawk swaying in the wind. "Squawk! Shouldn't have been drinking, squawk!"

"Shaddap Pierre! You're just a parrot! Ya don't know s**t!"

"Squawk! Better hurry up, better hurry up, squawk!"

"...AH! You're right! I need to hurry up!"

Looking around, he needed some way to catch up quick. He had been running for a good hour now, but he still hadn't quite gotten into the city. Explosions from the city made him more concerned than before too, so he needed a horse or anything. The Learanian army had probably taken his horse with them when they couldn't find him.

Then he spotted it. A Ballista that had been used in the siege to begin with, standing there all gloriously. It had probably been abandoned and never recovered. "Dat's my ticket!"

"Squawk! Seems dangerous! Seems dangerous! Squawk!"

This parrot was getting on his nerves. He picked it up cheap when he wanted to be the most extreme pirate in the world, but when his ship capsized it's mostly been annoying him. The ballista wasn't loaded, so he cranked it backwards until it was locked and loaded. He climbed up as he placed his feet against the launching pad.

"Squawk! This is stupid! This is stupid, squawk!"

Wait a minute...Pierre was right! It was stupid! Launching himself without protection, what was he thinking?!

"You're right Pierre! Safety first!"

The parrot looked relieved for a moment before he took out a pan and put it on his head. The parrot rolled its eyes before leaving the danger of his shoulder. "Squawk! Please be careful! Squawk!"

"Thank you, Pierre! Dude Hazard, awayyyyyy!" he yelled as he pulled the rope to the launching mechanism. As he flew off towards the city, a battlecry could be heard. "EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-"

He took a moment to breathe, as he took out his Nosferatu tome, readying a spell, putting the energy around his body. He felt sorry for whatever living creature that might get hit by it, but their soul would much better serve his life. Probably. He was going to need this for the landing. He had confidence in his body, but he'd need to heal quick to get back into the fight when he arrived.

Landed.

...Crashed.

He was sort of regretting his decision.

Too late to go back on it now. "-EEEEEEEEEEEEME CANNONBALLLLLL!"

Going through the roof of a building, he eviscerated a human standing up with his axe held high, before leaving a crater in the floor. Everything went black for a moment, as he lost consciousness (and possibly his life) upon impact.

The bandits could finally see the shape of another human in a large hole in the floor. They snickered as they thought no one would've survived that fall.

Until he stirred and got back up.

"Aw man! I thought I was done for!" He exclaimed as he sat up, blood flowing vigourously from his forehead, as the wounds closed from the use of Nosferatu. He saw the armored cavalier that had been overpowered earlier. He recognised him. He gave him bread earlier. "Kieran! Dude Hazard has arrived! Stand back up! Let's show these ******** who's extreme!"

The bandits still looked on in shock, as they were facing a fat man that was probably impervious to damage.

He wasn't.

He was just.

Extreme.

There was no fanfare. No piercing cry. The King of Hawks dropped out of the sky like a stone, mad-eyed and shedding blood from his feathers. His wings snapped open, talons shredding several bandits as he skidded through the cobbled street to a stop.

The aerial troops were circling each other out in the field; it was impossible to tell them apart at a distance, and to maintain a count. So when the Hawk King slipped through the clouds in laguz form, he went quite unnoticed before dropping straight into the city. The bird, his feathers matted with the blood of bandits, threw his head back suddenly in a deafening screech...

And the laguz forces marching toward the city broke into a sprint toward the gates. About half his units remained well out, covering the laguz' flank and keeping Viscen's forces on the run, but the rest were now charging back toward the city to overtake it.

Tibarn's wings snapped open as bandits, struggling to recover from the shock of his arrival, turned on him, and he swatted them away before lifting off, sweeping low over the squat buildings of the port town, keen eyes scanning for Amelia as he dipped low, crashing through the bandit ranks each time he dropped into the streets.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Move, go!" A rugged, slender man with a dashing hat and sun-bleached blonde hair rammed the door to a shop open with his shoulder, barreling out into the street near Amelia. He swung his arm at someone inside, and several men and women garbed like sailors hurried out, escorting a number of villagers who had been taking shelter in the building. "Go, get to the docks, I'll cover your exit! Keep getting people on the ships, out of the city, wherever you can!" The man immediately began running after them, drawing the twin blades sheathed at his hips, and then stopped to look back at Amelia. "... Oh, are you finally here to HELP?" he scoffed. "Better late or whatever. Let's--" He would have said more, but another explosion rocked the ground as flame and smoke rose into the air, and he pitched off his feet, then scrambled up, ears ringing, swearing inaudibly amidst the shell-shock tinnitus.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 25, 2013 10:42 am

It's one thing after another with this ******** place.

Amelia had been going down the street when something -- no, it was someone -- crashed through the roof of a building a couple of blocks away. Thrown into confusion by the sudden crash that was not created by the Shadow Guild, bandits started to appear more rapidly than before in the streets, seemingly popping up out of nowhere.

"And where in the <********> were all these guys when we did our preliminary search, huh??" Amelia shouted in frustration as she stabbed through an incoming bandit's gut, smoothly ripping the spearhead free of his flesh and swinging around to knock a second off of his feet, crashing him into a third. Amelia quickly lifted her weapon and deflected an incoming sword blow, choosing to simply lift a foot and kick him in the knee hard enough to force him to stumble. It was easy enough to give him a nice new stabbing wound through the throat after that. An arrow flew past as she took a step away from the body, nicking against her cheek but otherwise leaving her unharmed as it thudded into the wall of the building near her.

The General stood upright, briefly dropping her spear to draw her bow and an arrow. It only took her a few moments to take aim and fire, and she re-strapped her bow as soon as the arrow had finished flying. The burst of magic that went forth in the same direction seconds after was reassurance enough for her that the archer was well and done for.

Amelia was breathing hard as she wiped the dirt and sweat from her brow to clear her vision. It was then that a familiar screech pierced the air, and Amelia lifted her gaze, towards the sky. A relieved smile finally spread across her face. "Tibarn...!"

She lowered her gaze back to the street, still faintly smiling. "All right, can we please get to the chap--"

And then a blond man in an interesting get-up burst out of the building in front of her, ushering out a large group of villagers. Amelia stared for a moment, trying to take in what had just happened. She paused, looked down, and rapidly picked her spear back up into her hands. She met Tarr's eyes for a moment, her gaze turning hard. Oh you did not

The explosion, closer to the General than it was to the pirate, sent Amelia to the side, barely managing to catch herself as she crashed into the wall of a nearby building. She picked herself up in seconds, breathing hard as the side of her face bled profusely from numerous gashes and cuts from slamming against damaged wood. "What do you think we've been doing here all this time, playing with ourselves?" Amelia shouted at Tarr over the din, standing straight again as the piercing aftersound in her ears began to fade. "You-- you know where all the villagers are, apparently most of the search teams didn't do s**t over here. I'll cover your movement if you keep going forward and getting these people to the ships!" she shouted at him over the dull roar of combat, turning halfway to get a view of who was coming. "And fast! Remind me to thank you when we aren't at risk of being killed!"

Amelia took a moment to steady her balance, switching to her sword, then launched forward, steel clashing with steel as she tried to force the bandits further back. The enemy was growing more and more numerous by the second, leaving Amelia and a few swordsmen and cavaliers to fend off the hordes as she slowly moved back when possible, trying to ensure the streets stayed clear for the pirate and the citizens.

Remind me to never come back to Pentheus, Amelia thought, stumbling as an errant swing from a bandit gashed through the soft flesh open between her chestplate and her hip guards, right over the recently-healed wound from Drake. It was getting hard to tell if the blood was her's or the bandits' as she kept moving back. "Hold the line if it's the last thing you do!" She shouted, sweeping her sword powerfully across a bandit's chest.

While the writer was quite baffled by what was going on in this thread recently, let's get back with the program.

Did that guy just... Isadora's mind trialed off when she quickly slowed down her horse and watched as the red-headed dolt rode pass her and the others. Did that idiot lose more than just blood? She told him to stay with the healer to recover and leave immediately afterward. Whether he was very brave and determine to save the city or he couldn't tell she had given him an order and he disobey. Although the Dame Knight have many issues on her hands, such as city going to be blown up as well as enemies looming around (not to mention, villagers hiding in fear in the town despite that the whole Learania team did a full search before explosion. Nice to make the Learania army looked bad like the Ylisse army), someone had to keep an eye on him. After all, he was just barely new into this world.

"Leon! Wallace! Rout out the enemies as much as you can! We can't let this city fall!" Isadora shouted as she snapped her reins and chased after Kieran.

Although he was out of her sight, she could hear him shouting out bunch of random fighting words across the streets. Well, with him shouting despite the villagers' screaming and building collapsing, it was thankful that he had a big mouth for the paladin to track him. However, she was curious did he ever keep his mouth shut if trying to ambush the enemy.

She had lost him when the red-headed knight didn't shout. Before the paladin could guess where did Kieran went, a loud explosion was heard. Isadora covered her eyes for a moment, thinking that the explosion was near her. But when she opened her eyes again, she saw smoke rising in the air a bit far from her. Hopefully, no one was near the explosion. This city was already damaged without the bombs exploding around. And as much as she wanted to go there and check the damage, she had to see find Kieran first. She hoped that Leon and Wallace were doing her commands and disposed the enemies as fast as possible before they had no city left to reclaim.

Before she could continue her mission, she suddenly heard some shouting from above. Isadora looked up, "What was-"

Just then, she saw a blur figure flying through the air. What the flux was that? There was no way it was one of Tibarn's laguz army that flew by or Vaida's flying brigade (speaking about her, the Dame Knight wondered if Vaida was aware about the situation when coming.) Whatever it flying was moving too fast from what she had seen. That could not be good.

Forgetting about Kieran, Isadora kicked her horse to follow the unidentified flying object. She could see that the blur began to descend, but moving faster as it headed toward the nearby building. When the object crashed inside the building, the Dame Knight slowed her horse down and saddled off as she saw the door to the building all broken and mashed. Unknown if there were enemies around or if that fallen object dangerous, she pulled out her sword and held her shield as she entered the building.

Smoke died down as the paladin looked around. Inside the room was bandits with the bomb on the other side of the room. Among them was Kieran. She wasn't sure how long had he been here, but she was thankful that she found him and being safe... Somewhat.

Before the paladin could say a word, she saw something stirring on the ground. On the floor was a man, bleeding from his forehead. Was that what flying around the sky? What was he thinking?

Suddenly, that man shouted at Kieran in a high pitched voice, shouting about who was extreme. The paladin wasn't sure if that man knew Kieran and if he came from the same world as Kieran. However, she had a sudden urge to slap her hand to her face. This was becoming more weird to her than she thought it was.

"Damnit! Where the hell you went?!" Rajin shouted across the street as he searched for the blue cat. Before we could go any further, let's had a little flashback.

While the tiger was waiting for the Hawk King to say something (seriously, that bird was acting like a vulture waiting to get its meal from the dead), he saw something blur passing by. When Rajin looked up to see what it was, he saw it was Sunil... who was running toward the city where fire and explosion exploding inside. What the hell was that cat doing, heading back to that blazing town all by himself? Didn't that cat know he was going to get killed by the explosion, especially with fire spreading around? That cat should know full well that he's vulnerable to fire.

Just then, he saw a flicker of light flashes out. When he looked up to see what it was, he heard Tibarn giving out orders: half of the force to continue its mission to chase after the bandits, the other half came with him to the city. Rajin bit his lower lip as he tried to make a decision. He didn't want to go back in the blazing city since he was nearly burn the last time he went there. But then there was Sunil, who decided to head back into the city. Perhaps the cat was going back because of their comrades were in the city. Speaking about comrades, he wondered if Leon was okay or not. Surely, the knight would be okay with all his armor and-

Suddenly, another loud explosion erupted in the building, creating another cloud of dust and fire. But despite the explosion, the tiger watched the blue cat continued heading to the building. "Damnit..." Rajin cursed as his ears lowered down. As much as he didn't want to get burn, he really didn't want Sunil to get hurt.

Cursing his luck from going bad to rotten, the tiger changed his form and charged toward the building where Sunil and the comrades who entered earlier were at.

Cloud of dust were flying everywhere as the smell of burning gunpowder and fire lingered in the air. Mixing it with the dry scent of dust and debris, it was impossible for the laguz to breathe. His ears twitched as the building crumpled toward the ground nearby. Although it wasn't loud, it was still sensitive to the tiger's ears. He hoped he wouldn't go deaf if there was another explosion.

Unknown where Sunil went, Rajin ran down the street that has the least fire exposed in his humanoid form. If he knew that cat well, Sunil would be heading toward the other army to see if they were okay or not. But with fire spreading around, he wasn't sure if the cat would take that route or not. If that cat wanted to save his comrades, that cat wouldn't be reckless to himself, meaning he would take safe route to reach them... Right?

As Rajin made a left turn, he caught a scent of a human. Looking around, the tiger could tell that the scent was coming from a nearby building. He couldn't tell if it was an ally or enemies due to the mixture of gunpowder, fire, blood, and debris dust flying around. Whoever that person was, he had to check it to see who it was. He hope that it was an ally and not an enemy.

Although it would be logical to just trend carefully and see if anyone was in the building, there was no telling if another explosion would blow up. Having no time to be cautious, the tiger ran toward the building and gave jump, giving a flying kick to the door. Hopefully, whoever inside the building was not an enemy, setting a trap or prepare an ambush on him... Right?

This was a bad idea...

Rather than play it safe, he took the shortest route possible to where he could meet up with the Watch members. That route though was filled with fire, smoke, and a lot of enemies. Two of those were actually really bad for him right now. His speed would have also been severely limited with the amount of debris on the floor from the blasts, but it wasn't like he was restricted to just fighting linearly. Nah, though the walls and roofs nearby were weak from the blasts, he could still scale buildings or leap off a wall for additional strength behind his blows. Pulling the same trick twice on the same wall was probably impossible though.

Two of the bandits had noticed him. Making snide comments to each other like "Aw, the poor widdle kitty's lost" (that being the least derogatory) before laughing, they raised their axes to come take down Sunil. However, the cat growled. Not a snarl like most Cat Laguz could do. No, this was something closer to a canine, like Wolf Laguz. The pair stopped, a surprised look on their faces. This cat, growling like a dog?

That was a warning... I've no time for the likes of you.

But Beorcs couldn't understand Laguz when they spoke in their transformed state, so his words fell on deaf ears. Well, not like those bandits were going to back down after a small surprise like that. With a stupid chuckle, one of them stepped closer. That was as far as he got, as Sunil suddenly lunged at him before slamming his body full-force into him. With the wind knocked out him, the bandit stumbled back, allowing Sunil to bring a heavy blow down with his paw on his throat before the man could even gasp out. The other bandit quickly jumped back and released his Hand Axe at the cat. The Laguz crouched, ducking under the attack before pouncing at the other bandit, sinking both claws and fangs into his face and neck respectively. The bandit gargled as Sunil ripped out his throat with a fierce tug. He then shifted back into his humanoid form, spinning behind the bandit to keep him on his feet so that he could take the returning axe to the gut.

"Bleh, junk food. He could have seriously used a bath or three." Sunil spat, releasing the meatshield to let him fall to the ground. "Still tasted better than what I've eaten in the past, though."

He shifted back into his Beast form before charging back into the fire, using his speed to catch the bandits in his path off-guard and finish them with one strike while evading the flames and rubble as best as he could to minimize damage. There number seemed to be increasing, probably due to whatever was the source of a crash some ways away. He soon barreled into another bandit, and with the momentum he had built up with that last charge, steamrolled right into a fence. The wooden posts easily gave out and the pair emerged from the alleyway onto a street where a pirate swordmaster and a female general were already fighting other bandits, those two being the most noticeable amongst the Sentrians and escaping villagers. Another heavy-handed blow to the throat caused the bandit to asphyxiate before he could recover from having the wind forced out of him from the tackle and strike back.

With his "Kool-aid Man"-esque entrance (minus the "Oh Yeaaah"), Sunil turned onto the bandit closest to him, supporting Amelia, Tarr, and the others that were around to fight off the bandits.

~Valor is the contempt of death and pain.~

Wallace

In the midst of the chaos and explosions in the city Wallace's staff had lost track of him completely as he had rushed off into the streets. Somewhere in the city, this being Wallace we're talking about even he has no idea where he is, the bald general was covered in blood, brandishing a bloody axe, chasing a half dozen bandits down a street, and yelling at the top of his lungs "Face me you gutless cowards! Face the wrath of Wallace!" Rather unexpectedly one of the bandits turned around and started to charge Wallace. In an entirely unsurprising turn of events the bandit met a sticky end as Wallace slammed his axe through the man's sternum.

As Wallace pulled his axe out of the bandits chest, the other bandits ran into a building and shut the door behind them. Seeing this Wallace smiled and walked towards the door with his axe in a relaxed grip "Oi! Have ya finally grown a backbone ya villainous scum?" Reaching the door he kicked the door in near the bolt, "Or are you waiting to ambush me inside this door!? Gwahahaha!" Then he walked into the dark building with his axe ready to kill the next bandit he saw.
