Aurora Solindo | OutfitGlad that he didn't think speaking with her was boring, she listened to the song end, then moved her arms from their position from around his neck to her side. Taking a small step back, she told him, "Then I hope we can talk again soon." She would look forward to chatting again, and she spoke again with amusement as she remembered what she'd told him to get to the dance floor. "Thank you for letting me test my theory, and since you can dance, I suppose it's still correct." She smiled, then added lightly afterward, "Still, it would be fun to show you more of the tango...though I've never seen a teacher tango." Lorina Jinn | OutfitMoving her hand to wave off the mention of learning more, she was kept from speaking for a moment as she remembered that both her hands held Ciel's. Laughing at her own mistake, she shook her head, then told her, "Still cool, but I suppose it's a good thing you're here, then." She smiled, then released her friend's hands as the song ended. After deciding that the shapeshifter was a perfectly fine dancer, at least for the sort that would be done at the parties she attended, she took a step back, then glanced over to the table of refreshments. "Want to get a drink?" Rebecca Lawrence | OutfitWith slightly more hope that she wouldn't look like a complete amateur, she stepped onto the dance floor. Simon's optimism was helpful, enough so that she could answer his question without too much thought. "Um, improvising seems like the best choice." She didn't know at how to do a jive, and the music wasn't as slow as it had been before. Still, she rested one hand on his shoulder, and placed her other in his as she moved slightly with the music. This sort of dancing wasn't too difficult, since all it required was listening to the song. Bellatrix Solindo | OutfitDespite her efforts, there was definitely an awkward several moments, in which she completely understood Karon's feelings. Still, she wasn't sure of what else to say either, so when he moved to leave, she didn't stop him. "Goodluck." she told him cheerfully before turning to go in her own direction. Luckily, there were plenty of students to seperate them within moments, and she could return to her job of chaperoning.

Miguel smiled at the girl. "Dancing is easy. You just rock your hips back and forth and go in a circle. Your hands can go around my neck and mine go to your hips." He told her. The instructions were simple and could be expanded on later.

 Simon smiled, "Then we improvise." he said, resting his hand on her waist as they began to move, she seemed a little conservative with her movements, he felt it better not to force an excess of motion on her, "She seems quite conservative, probably due to her being able to read minds, I suppose I'd make myself relatively conservative if I could read anyones passing thoughts..." he smiled, "You're not bad." he said trying to encourage her, he promised he wouldn't laugh so he restrained himself, but she seemed like she was having fun and he liked laughin when people had fun, but then agian... he wouldn't know, it was just an inkling.

She took his hand as she waited for the next song to begin. "So when should we have our date? After your practice or something?" She asked as she was just getting straight to the point, she didn't like beating around the bush. ((OOC smile )

Feeling her hand move, Ciel glanced curiously at the hand then to Lorina; she was laughing, and while Ciel wasn't quite sure why, she smiled in response anyway. Giving a small nod to her friend at the mention of the school as a good thing, she couldn't argue there. Even if she didn't know of any other shapeeshifters at the school, that didn't mean they weren't present. As the song ended and Lorina released her, she followed the other girl's gaze to the table containing various drinks and snacks. "Sure." she agreed, despite the fact that she wasn't very thirsty. She could still tag along, and maybe she could grab a cookie or something. Glancing beyond the table, she noticed her brother moving and she could tell by the way he was walking that he was irritating. Had something happened? A confused look crossed her features, but she figured it best to leave him be for now.
With the song over, he retracted his arms from around her waist. Slipping one ink stained hand into his pocket, he smiled as the theory was brought up again. "Anything for science." he volunteered, as theories were generally associated with science. Despite the fact that he was an art professor, he had briefly looked into a career in the hard sciences. At her comment on tangoing teachers, he chuckled in response. "I'm starting to think you know a very specific type of teacher." she had made so many comments about teachers and such that it was starting to paint a fairly clear picture of what sort of teacher she did know. Being taught to tango sounded like it could be fun, especially if Aurora was to be his teacher. Not that he was terrible at the dance, but he was well aware that he had much to learn.

Aurora Solindo | OutfitSmiling at his comment, she laughed quietly. Science was one of the few subjects she enjoyed, and she spent plenty of her time trying to learn more. His next words cause her smile to widen as she told him, "Perhaps I do." She let the facade fall, looking amused as she continued, "I'll see you soon, then, and we can test my teaching skills. For science." Raising her hand to give a small wave, she laughed once more, finding the repetition of teachers and theories to be an amusing joke. She would go in search of a friend she'd promised to find, then perhaps leave the dance a little early to check on her roommate, who hadn't been in the best of moods lately and would probably need a little cheering up. Lorina Jinn | OutfitAfter a few minutes of weaving through the students, she was able to reach the table. She paused for a second, then decided on the punch for a drink. Retrieving a glass, she moved to fill it with the juice as she spoke to Ciel, "You know, you did fine at dancing. Are you sure you haven't been to a party?" She smiled, sparing the girl a glance as she awaited the answer, then took a sip from her glass. Pleased by the flavore, she took a step to the side, selecting a cookie before turning to face the shapeshifter. Rebecca Lawrence | OutfitMoving with the music, she decided that she wasn't a complete loss. Simon's encouragement helped a little, but she knew that he was probably just trying to make her feel better. Still, she appreciated it, and told him in response, "Thanks." For a few moments, she remained quiet, listening to the music as she gave him a small smile, just to show that she wasn't feeling quite so self-concious. "So, do you usually dance?" she was curious as to whether or not he was used to the activity. Rebecca was no judge of such, but she could tell that he was doing better than herself. Richard Lawrence | OutfitSitting once he was given the okay to do so, he flashed her a short smile in thanks as he introduced himself. "I'm Richard, by the way." He settled back, glad to be off his feet as he'd been standing since his arrival. When she spoke again, he nodded in understanding, as he could certaintly see the difference between such styles. "Ballet? How long have you been dancing?" he asked lightly, finding that it was a nice segway into conversation. While he's never taken the training for the style, he knew that it took alot of practice and grace, something he held very little of.

Simon smiled, "Not really, I'm just rather good at reading the beat of music, par example..." the music sped up slightly, and in such he began to move with it, letting the music guide his actions, but using her as the centre, so she wouldn't feel barraged with motion, "...and other such twoddle like that." he slowed down with the music again, "Kinda why I'm not fond of night clubs, too many beats, too cramped, and music so loud you can't enjoy talks with people, as you could probably tell, I'm quite talkative." he said, once again demonstrating his talkative nature.

Following as they moved between the other students, she inspected the different foods and drinks laid out. When Lorina moved from the punch with her cup, Ciel slipped in and poured herself half a glass. Content with this amount of liquid, she reached to take one of the chocolate cookies on the opposite end of the bowl. She was considering Lorina's question, she bit her lip in thought. Would it be weird to admit it? "Yes, I'm quite sure. I wasn't allowed." she clarified, turning to glance at Lorina. "I have a talent for mimicry. Voices and movements." it was something she had been taught was important growing up, as the best way to blend into a crowd was to ensure that one didn't stick out. And, sense she hadn't spent much time around people her own age outside of school, she had had to pick things up in the few hours she spent with them. Taking a bite of her cookie, she watched her friend carefully; despite the fact that her expression was calm, she was worried that maybe she was just a little too weird to actually make friends.
Smiling at her promise of seeing him again, she gave a small nod. "Anything for science." he agreed, noticing that the statement had gone well with her. It seemed that science was something she liked, or maybe the statement had just been more amusing than he had thought. "I look forward to it." he agreed, giving a small wave in return. As she turned to move off, Solomon watched only a moment longer before drifting to the other end of the dance floor. He would take up station here for now, to ensure that there was nothing unpleasant, or anything too pleasant, going on in that area. Dancing with Aurora had been fun, and he was looking forward to the promised time in the future. Hands in his pockets, the griffin returned to keeping a close eye on the students.

Miguel thought for a moment. He did need to pay his debt to her. He was a man of his word and would do what he could. "We can do it after the dance. If you don't mind staying out a little later? We can get something to eat." The teen commented with a smile.

Len walked over to Bella and smiled at his assistant vice principal. "So how is the dance?" He asked as he removed his glasses and started to clean them as best he could. He then put them back on his face. "Have you danced with anyone? Just because we are making sure students don't do anything funky doesn't mean we can't have fun ourselves."

Shikyo asked since well the ball was going to probably end in a few hours and it was probably going to be dark out by then. "Just hopefully we can find a place that's open." Miguel could understand why she would be worried and he knew a few places that weren't too bad that were open late. "Yeah, but I'm used to it. Games can go late depending on what team you're playing and I'm going to be hungry after all this dancing."

Miguel smiled. She seemed liked she just wanted to skip to the date, but Miguel had a list of people he wanted to dance with. "Besides. I'm sure you have your eye on so boy that you've been wanting to dance with all night. Don't be afraid ask him. Boys are just as shy as girls." He told her. He had no clue who she liked.
