Lulu yawned quietly as she stirred from her slumber. She had slept fairly well all things considered; the cot she was using was set up in a far corner of the bunker that the survivors were using. She wasn't comfortable near others, so she had to go somewhere else to actually sleep. Blinking herself awake, she sat up, rubbing her eyes and starting to actually wake up. Pulling the straps over her dress over her shoulders, she looked around quietly, scanning the area for any kind of threat. She didn't see any people trying to kill her so her morning was better than the one yesterday. A flash of purple hair strode across the bunker as Lulu caught sight of Lilika. She had no idea what time it was, but Lilika had apparently been awake for some time now. Yawning again, Lulu ran her fingers through her hair and shook her head, her long black hair going everywhere around her head. After straightening her hair again and feeling sufficiently awake, Lulu stood up from her bed and headed over towards Lilika to see what was going on.

As she approached the purple haired woman, but before she could say good morning, the radios in the bunker sprang to life and the familiar voice came on over the radio again.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Hope you all slept well. Those of you who are still alive, we made it through another month of this hell hole. For those of you who aren't, well, I suggest we have a moment of silence for all the people who weren't as lucky as us." The voice paused and the radio simply hissed static for half a minute before crackling again. "There, now that that's out of the way, time for your weekly news bulletin. It looks like we've been getting some increased traffic from the outside as people are coming in from the roads and woods nearby. Most of these people are just like you, survivors, just trying to survive in a harsh world. So if you can offer help to them, do so. But as always, watch your backs, you never know when someone will try and off you just to take what you've got." There was a pause and a shuffling of what sounded like paper, but with the choppy signal it made it impossible to tell. Once the shuffling stopped, the voice continued, "We've also gotten strange reports of weird creatures, angels, demons, and UFOs. These reports have been increasing as of late, but I haven't been able to confirm or deny them. Whatever is going on out there, things just keep getting crazier. This has been your weekly news update, as usual, I'll be hijacking your radios if anything important comes up, so make sure you keep those things charged and powered ladies and gentlemen. This is the Voice of Survival, signing off for now. With a hiss and a click, the transmission stopped, and all that was left was dead air.

Lulu would have jumped about twelve feet in the air, had she had the room to do so. As it stood she merely hopped a little when the radio came on. She listened quietly before moving over to Lilika's side. As the transmission ended, Lulu tugged on Lilika's shirt and said quietly, but pleasantly, "G-good morning..." Lulu didn't know if it was even morning, or if it was in any way good, but she got to wake up, and be in a safe place so it was better than what some other people had.

Zeratahka swore quietly to herself as she let the hot water run over her body; she was in the shower in her penthouse, having woken up a few hours previously. Flapping her wings slightly as she ran a hand down to the large scar she had in the side of her stomach where a particularly pesky mutant had slashed her. The thing was about ten feet tall and had blades for limbs; a particularly dangerous kind of mutant, but nothing she couldn't handle. Normally at least. There had been more mutants than she had expected at the foot of her hotel and she and Gail had to make their way through them to get to the elevator. It didn't help that she had to play the damsel in distress for Gail, so things didn't go terribly smoothly. When they reached the elevator, one of the remaining mutants swiped at her and managed to cut her side open. Because she couldn't use her healing while Gail was around, she had to let him stitch it up with what little supplies he had, and now it hurt quite a bit. Swearing again, she ripped the stitches out and let her blood flow into the drain of the shower, her wound healing like normal again. So long as she kept that part of her side covered, Gail wouldn't be the wiser. flapping her wings and stretching as the water ran down her body, Zera sighed and collected her thoughts, it was difficult playing a role so powerless for an extended period of time. Not because of how much power it used, but how constricted she actually was. She couldn't fly, she couldn't use her powers, hell she couldn't even act like she normally did. Zera would be happy when she could end the charade and steal the idiot boy's soul. Then she would be having fox for dinner. Zera grinned at the thought of roasting that filthy animal on a spit. It could sense she wasn't what she appeared to be, and had scratched her earlier. She wouldn't mind setting its tail on fire either, but Zera had never liked animals.

Stepping out of the shower in her full disguise, Zera grabbed some clothes and pulled them on after drying off, sighing and heading out into the main room of the penthouse, sitting on the couch and closing her eyes, maybe now she could actually get some sort of rest without having to worry about the idiot checking on her and him possibly finding out what she was.

Tobias didn't quite remember going to sleep. At some point during the night after what needed trading was done, and various dried herbs were explained, Tobi had sat down near a wall with his back pack resting under one arm and leaned back, soon drifting of apparently. The woodsman woke up in this position, his eyes flickering open while he body creaked and groaned from sleeping in the unnatural position. He took his dear old time getting to his feet, letting his limbs to wake up and let the blood flow properly again. The small base was making him feel restless, and he honestly couldn't wait to get out. The newest radio announcement indicated it was safe, but the mutants wouldn't be far off yet. He should wait before leaving, as much as he hated that idea.

Elsewhere, high atop the largest, remotest skyscraper she could find, Nyxrin was sitting within a large ball of flame, her bottom lip poked out like a spoiled child who had lost her toy. She could have beaten angel boy! She really could have she convinced herself, if only she hadn't been overwhelmed by the creatures of the blood moon. Sickly human beasts, and mutated animals had piled around her, just wanting a taste of her demon flesh. Without wings they almost had her too, not that she would ever admit it. She couldn't just fly out of reach like the angel had. So she had to use her fire to beat them off just long enough to make a portal to where she now sat. The flames licked at her various scrapes and gashes, sealing them effectively, while she glared out at the distant horizon feeling more pissed then she ever felt in a century. She had a chance to bring down an angel and he slipped through her fingers. As did that fallen demon. She couldn't have gone home in the state she was in. Injured, scraped up with no head to bring home to prove a kill. She would have been a laughing stock to return in such a condition! No...she needed to heal first, and then find herself a prize to bring home.

Last night hadn't really ended all that well in Gail's opinion. They'd ended up having to fight their way into the apartment building where Zera lived. It was not something Gail had particularly enjoyed. It hadn't been fun at all. Neither he nor Zera had escaped unscathed either. It had taken him nearly ten minutes to convince her to let him stitch her side up last night. Gail was good a that kind of first aid, but he hadn't had to do it on another person before. Sure, he'd stitched up himself and Fluffy a few times, but that was different.

Once entering the second bedroom, Gail closed the door and let Fluffy out of his backpack. Of course, as expected, the white fox was ticked off that he'd been forced to be carried around like a toy dog. Ignoring the moody fox, Gail had flopped himself down on the bed in the extra bedroom in the suite, exhausted as all hell. His body hurt all over from the fighting down on the ground floor. It was then that he remembered: he was also bleeding from a couple his own scratches and wounds. He then had to use what little energy he had left to stitch himself up before finally allowing himself to fall asleep, knowing he was definitely going to feel the pain from the fight in the morning.

==

The next morning, Gail awoke to a ball of white fluff right in front of his face. At first he couldn't quite understand just what was going on, but he was then jolted awake by Fluffy's paw which had placed itself onto his cheek. Gail rolled over to face away from the fox. Of course, this did not please Fluffy, who promptly crawled over Gail and got right in his face again. Only this time, the fox actually scratched him across his cheek. "Ow! What the hell was that for!?!" Gail shouted as he was finally awake and sat up. Fluffy didn't seem at all bothered by Gail's reaction and instead gave Gail a look of annoyance for either over sleeping or sleeping at all. Gail scowled and touched his cheek, then looked at his fingers, to check on it. It didn't appear to be bleeding which was a good thing. With a low groan which doubled as a low growl, Gail forced himself to his feet. He started to stretch but the pulling of his stitches on his chest and side quickly protested. 'Man, I feel like s**t...'

Giving another yawn, Gail looked around the room. It was then that he finally remembered where he was and where he had just spent the night. Oh, right. He'd help protect Zera and she'd let him spend the night here where the mutants could get to them. He'd have to thank her when he saw her later. But right now, all that was on Gail's mind was to take a shower and get something to eat. Not caring that he had just gotten out of bed and was currently shirtless as he had had to take his shirt off to stitch himself up the night before, he grabbed a towel from the closet, slung it over his shoulder and headed out of the bedroom. Fluffy scurried out into the main room around his feet. He needed to pass through the main room to get to the bathroom, so it wasn't like it was going to be a problem.

He was in the middle of a yawn as he passed through the main room when he noticed Zera was already awake and dressed. She was sitting on the couch with her eyes closed. "Oh, hey. Mornin'..." Gail said as he gave her a wave. He wasn't completely awake yet so he couldn't tell if she was actually awake or not.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 14, 2012 6:53 pm

Zera heard shouting from Gail's room and sighed, it was already going to be a bothersome morning. She heard him shuffling around in there before hearing his door opening and him stepping out into the main room. When he spoke to her she winced only very slightly and opened one eye to look at him. Her orange orb locked on him before it changed back to the brown disguised color. She waved back and said, "Hello. You and your pet are certainly being loud this morning." Sighing, Zera shut her eye again before running her fingers through her hair and standing up. So much for getting any sort of peace and quiet. Turning away from him she said, "I'm going to make breakfast, the hot water is working for now so I suggest you get a shower while you can. What does your furry thing eat?" She asked as she stepped into the full sized kitchen. Her annoyance wasn't really showing, but she was definitely annoyed. She was going to have to use some of her food to feed the human and his little annoying fuzzball, something she wasn't happy about. But she kept her composure and didn't let anything slip, keeping her disguise up for now. She wondered when the kid would give her an opportunity to strike, but it wasn't like she could just ask for him to give her his soul. It was an awful lot of work to get just one soul, but it was rare to get a pure, untainted soul nowadays, so she would do what she had to. If things went badly, she could always reveal herself and just take the kid's soul by force, of course that would lessen the revitalizing value, as unsuspecting souls were much more potent than frightened or angry ones.

Gail grinned sheepishly and scratched the back of his head when Zera said she and Fluffy were being very loud. "Heh. Sorry about that. Didn't mean to disturb you or anything." he apologized awkwardly. He was still only half awake and really did feel like he needed to shower right now. When Zera mentioned breakfast, Gail did perk up a tiny bit. "You mean Fluffy? He'll be good with anything really. Just don't give him anything rotten and he should be good to go." Gail replied as the aforementioned foxjumped up to sit on a rather comfortable looking chair. The fox's white fur made him nearly invisible against the white fabric of the upholstery. Fluffy's eyes however, remained trained like laser pointers on Zera because he didn't trust her at all. Of course, Gail was hungry and his face said so, but he felt bad making Zera do the cooking. "Oh. You don't have to make anything for me. I can do that myself. If anything I should probably be making you breakfast for letting us stay here for the night."
PostPosted: Tue Aug 14, 2012 7:21 pm

Zera rolled her eyes while facing away from Gail, he just couldn't answer her question and be done with it, everything had to be a conversation. She had already gotten the materials out to make breakfast so she didn't want to hear that she didn't have to. Smiling lightly and friendlily, she turned towards Gail and said, "Don't worry about it, you managed to get me here safely so I kind of owe you. Go take your shower and I'll start cooking." Turning back to the counter, Zera started preparing breakfast, which consisted of canned bacon, toast and some small pancakes, along with bottled water. They would be fairly dry as Zera had very little butter, she reminded herself to go raiding when she had the time.

Despite not needing it, Zera quite enjoyed human food; she had learned to like it when conducting herself in proper manner while disguised. She had centuries to get used to the differing tastes in the differing sorts of foods. Before things went oh so horribly wrong, Zera was a sort of food connoisseur, and she had a very large selection of different foods, spices and other things that made her kitchen rival that of cooking show host. Of course, Zera's supply of food had dwindled dramatically since then, now she basically only had dried goods, a few things that needed to be refrigerated, and canned goods. She finished the pancakes and toast at about the same time, shortly followed by the bacon. She made three servings of bacon and toast, but only two for pancakes; one serving of toast and bacon would go to the fuzzball that was giving her the evil eye, she hoped it choked on its food. Finishing her cooking, she set everything on plates and placed the plates on the dining room table before placing the third one on the floor for the animal. She didn't much care if Gail got here before his food was cold, but she figured she should inform him so it didn't go to waste; one thing she absolutely hated was seeing good food wasted. "Food's done Gail, I'd hurry up if you want it warm." She called, sitting down at the table and opening a bottle of water.

Zera's reply of the fact that she owed him for getting her home safely actually satisfied Gail for the time being. She was definitely right about that. "Cool." Gail answered with a grin. He then hurried off to the bathroom to take his shower. Once there, he turned the water on and after undressing, he stepped under the water.

When the bathroom door closed behind Gail and Fluffy could hear the faint sounds of the running water from the shower, the fox still continued to watch the woman named Zera. Though, the fox was damn well sure that she wasn't human, but there wasn't any easy way for Fluffy to tell Gail what he knew. He made sure she didn't put anything harmful for either himself or Gail into the breakfast foods. Even if the food did smell good... It didn't look like it was poisoned, but it couldn't hurt to be careful. After all, Fluffy did owe Gail big time. He wasn't about to let Zera out of his sight for one second either as she headed down the hall to knock on the bathroom door. So, instead of going right for the plate set on the floor for him, the fox jumped down to land lightly on the carpet near the chair and followed Zera carefully.

Gail was busy taking his shower. As such, he didn't quite hear Zera call out to tell him that the food was ready. He continued going on about his business for the time being.

Since it seemed that Gail didn't hear Zera, Fluffy was actually somewhat relieved. He had a few choice words for this Zera person. "That food better not be tampered with." Fluffy's male voice sounded much older than someone might expect considering the size of his tiny body. "If you so much as try to hurt Gail, you'll be in a world of hurt." He was capable of telepathic speech while in this form, but right now, only Zera would be able to hear Fluffy's voice.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 14, 2012 7:55 pm

Zera paused in her eating and looked over as she heard the telepathic message coming from nearby. Zera replied by scoffing a little, barely fazed by the fact that this fuzz ball was more than he seemed; she hadn't known he was anything more than a furry animal, but she had learned to take surprises in stride. She looked over at him and said quietly so Gail wouldn't hear her, "Well Fuzzy or whatever your name is, you don't have to worry about that. I dislike poisoning food, it ruins the experience of eating. I don't plan on harming your friend in any way, so long as he doesn't make me." She turned back to her food and started eating again before asking, "So, what sort of demon are you? If you can speak and take that form, you're not a normal fur ball. Gail obviously doesn't know or else he'd be running for his life, both from me and you. Why do you want him huh? His soul does look quite delicious, but it's not like we can't share. Or do you have another sort of attachment to him? Is a shape-shifting demon a human's pet?" There was a bit of poison behind Zera's words, as it was considered a very very dishonorable thing among demons to be in the service of a human for any length of time. If a demon becomes attached to a human of their own free will, they would lose their status and their reputation would be that of little more than a slave. Humming lightly, Zera went back to her food, paying little attention to the fuzzball next to her outwardly, but inwardly, she was focused on the moves he made. If he so much as tried to scratch her, she'd punt him out the window.

Staring down at a large gash on his arm was the seraphim Eli. Looking over the wound no blood dripped from it, his body was a fake construct, he didn't have blood to circulate therefore no bleeding. He put his spare hand over the affected area, a small light appeared from below his hand and when he removed it his injury was healed and his clothes were repaired. Looking himself over he saw no other wounds or deformities in his body. Wondering why the demon had vanished during their fight he found himself a bit surprised she had chosen a hasty exit over a chance to finish him off what an odd concept. Eli had to admit for a regular demon she wasn't nearly as weak as he had thought.

Looking up towards the gray like sky he found himself wondering what the people think about the world they inhabited, what were the humans of this time thinking? Why me? How could this happen? Why has He forsaken us? There can not be happiness without sadness, some destruction to level the way for new life. He knew the reasoning behind such a world, or rather he thought he knew even Archangels, the pinnacle of the divine heirarchy could not even in their wildest dreams hope to understand or comprehend the almighty force that they served.

As the radio crackled to life, giving out the one regular broadcast that was ever on air, Johnathan jumped out of his sleep. With a gasp and a groan, his eyes shot open and he bumped his head on the roof of his car. Through gritted teeth, he cursed. Johnathan relaxed in the comfortable driver's seat, closed his eyes, and sighed longingly.

The radio broadcast kept on going. His head was pounding - not only from the small bump, but the encounter it reminded him of. The mutants came in many forms, always had, and some were clearly more trouble than others. But that thing... that thing which he had shot, was nowhere on the level of anything he had seen before. Fair to say, one starts to question their sanity when something is strong enough to fling them effortlessly across a whole street.

The voice from the device went on to talk about UFOs or something - he had trouble concentrating in his tiredness and ache - till it was suddenly over. Johnathan imagined if the mutants were really changing to such inhuman levels in terms of strength, it would not be a surprise if they were mistaken for angels and sh*t, particularly if they grew wings. The thought of a flying super mutant passed his head, and he knew he did not want to live in this ridiculous world anymore. He just wanted this ungodly bullcrap to end already. Too bad that was not an option.

Staying there with his sight sealed, John stretched his right hand to the passenger side seat and felt around for a moment. Then, his fingers hit the cold steel of a sawn-off, and he sighed in relief. The thought that this item was becoming useless was terrifying, as it was all he had - among other, similar weapons - to deal with the mutants. But it did give him comfort.

After a few strokes of the cool barrel, John lifted his hand away and gripped the wheel of the car instead. This did give him certain security. Not only did it work as moderate shelter, it was fast and could smash over those f*ckers with ease.

Johnathan slowly opened his eyes and was greeted with a scene of flawless ... blurriness. The man felt around his neck till his fingers felt the glasses hanging off his neck by string, and he put them on.
The barn doors were open wide and allowed an imminent sight of the premises. There was a piece of dirt road leading onto the main one going past the farm, and beyond that woods. A lot of woods, and it was stretching ever closer to the paths of man. With no one to control it of course, there would be a day when the roads would disappear under all that unkempt grass.

Johnathan yawned and lifted a hand to his neck, rubbing it roughly. It was about time to get back. Day time, less mutants ... probably. There were still survivors there, and he did not want to know if he was to go off alone into the wilderness, what he would do for his life.

The ex-priest looked behind him to the backseat - which currently seated a cardboard box of cans of food. Something he had salvaged from the farmhouse last night. The worst thing was - which he was immediately met by when he grabbed one - that some of them were empty. Heck, probably most. John kept lifting, rattling and then putting away empty cans. When finally he felt something a bit heavier in one of them, he looked in hopefully - only to find a big, dead slug.

Hunger driven off by disgust, tiredness forced off by need, and sanity overcome by certain fears of what might be, Johnathan started up his car. It gave a fierce roar and begun to steadily slide out of the barn, and when finally on the main road John begun to apply some more acceleration.

The city was not far at all. These were the outskirts after all. Soon he was passing by apartment buildings and small grocery stores. Something Johnathan liked, while others may want to do their best to hide in this city, was that the car was noisy and easy to see. With the potential to be the only working car, as it was really rare to see people on the roads anymore in them, it also made it interesting enough to draw a crowd.
That way John knew he could meet as many people as possible that needed to be shot in the face with a rifle.

After making the rounds through the camp to give aid where she could she turned to the radio as soon as the "voice came though to add an update. she did not know who he was, where he was, or how he got his information, but it seemed they all needed his attentions in order to keep faith in their abilities to fight through this. It showed everyone out there that they werent the only ones out there fighting for their lives and they had hope that they could collect together again one day to rebuild a safer place, something that Lilika was already trying to set into motion.
She was startign to search for Tobias to ask him more about a scouting mission before something tugging at her shirt made her stop and she turned to the shy young woman that she had helped earlier, "lulu?" she smiled slightly and turned to her completely "yes morning, did you sleep well?" she asked checking her over again with a hand to her head in search of any more injuries that may have surfaced after she had taken a rest, but she still only had the few scrapes and bruises from before.

---------------------------

Vira opened her eyes and ran a hand over her face as she growled from the memory of her face getting half torn off at such a close range from the human weapon, the fact that she could be wreaked with such pain irritated the crap out of her. "Humans are useless" she growled and started to get up again, remembering her true objective a moment when she thought back to how she had gotten there. She gave a low growl at the thought of the fallen angel and the blasted human. she would not pursue because her duty was clear, but if they crossed her path again, no one would be safe.

The fox's blue eyes glared up at Zera for more than one reason. But mostly because she was suggesting that he was Gail's pet, or slave, or what have you. However, he wasn't going to give the other demon the pleasure of knowing she was annoying him. Instead, Fluffy followed her back into the main room where she sat down and started eating again. "It took you long enough to figure out I wasn't a normal fox. You're a lot more dense than I thought. I'm not just a shape shifting demon either. " Fluffy stated with a snort, but he didn't bother giving the full details on what exactly he was or what he was capable of. "Pet? As if." he retorted with bitter disdain. "Thank you for stating the blatantly obvious too. Of course I'm after his soul. What else do you think I would be after?" Fluffy lightly jumped from the floor to an empty chair and then onto the table where he sat down in front of Gail's plate of food. He looked down his snout at the demon across from him. "What's wrong with using him and make him fill my every need before taking his soul? But there's no way I'd share my prey with a bitchy liar like you either."

Once he was feeling properly awake, Tobias pulled himself to his feet. He gathered up his bag and his gun, and went in search of Lilika in the base. It didn't take long before he found her, and not surprisingly, Lulu by her side. "Good morning you two." Tobias greeted as he approached. "Nice to see we all made it through the night in one piece. My compliments on the security Lilika." Tobias commented. He seemed cheerful enough, but there was still that undertone of worry laced in his voice, in his actions, in his very being. The virus was just too close here to ignore it.

Kaya had been lightly pushed into the shelter for the night much to her disappointment in the situation. She would have liked to be out, so she could watch these monsters and maybe even talk to one of them that would be fascinating. She would be able to gain the angle from both sides, maybe she could even help them express their feelings to one another, help them get along with each other. It was all in the bag, nothing could have possibly gone wrong. However she wasn’t expect the strange feeling of being tired. She had fallen asleep in a somewhat comfortable position.

She was up however with the morning sun rising in the sky, shining its rays over the land. She didn’t stay to listen to the radio, wandering outside. They had said it was safe, that you were allowed out now. She looked up and down an empty street, staring, moving her head side to side. It was so quiet, way too quiet for her own liking. When she was in the heavens she was always hearing sounds that made it much more enjoyable. The humming of songs, the scratching of pens, the noise from the cameras that monitored the humans. There was always noise but never silence. Slowly she started humming to herself, in order to bring something back. It was just a random tune she had made up.

As she was humming she heard another sound, a loud pop and sounds of an engine. She looked around at the sound source and found a mucked up grey car speeding along the road. It wasn’t the people inside it that fascinated her though, it was the car itself! Everyone seemed to love driving those things around before the virus and it was good to see one now! With a bright smile on her face she started to run towards, oblivious to the impact that the car would make with her body as she would try and hug it, to feel the warm engine there. She had to see that car! She had to feel it!

Waking up to what should have been birds singing in the morning was instead an car alarm going off. Laying on her stomach she soon rolled on to her back and looked up to the sky. Grumbling a complaint that it was to bright she shielded her eyes then slowly sat up. Rubbing her stomach she felt to so fat. Then it her she was cleaning her bar for opening when it all started. Laughing Sceleris picked herself up and looked around she was on the roof of her club.

She had taken almost everyone out in the place taking all their souls and stuffing her pretty fat face. Sighing in pure bliss that she had finally had a full meal to the point of being sick she was happy and couldn't wait to do it all over again.
