Ami realized part way through that traveling along the beach would do her no good. She need to head more inland so she could reach the front gates.
Where she was at though, the forest was way too thick to navigate. Ami sighed and kept running along the beach. She was exhausted and wanted to go home- oh wait she doesn't have one of those anymore.
At least it was a nice day. That's what she kept telling herself.

The end! Ami could see it! Oh god that was a beautiful sight yes it was. She reached the gates, and then promptly sat down. And the doubled over. And then just layed there all dead-like.

Oh shiiiii The teen had been pretty lost in her musings when she found herself at the edge of the cliff, barely stopping her jogging in time to prevent an accidental tumble. The path continued on just below, she could see it from where she stood, and despite how tempting it seemed for her to just jump and go from there she looked at the rock face. It could be scaled, right?
Well, Ofelia was always good at climbing. She liked the feel of being able to reach new places as she went, so scaling down should almost be the same, right?
She probably should have just jumped, but in the end at least she was on the ground.

After finally making it down a cliff Ofelia continued her little walk-trot, her pace steady and her humming ever growing louder. It was amazing that she wasn't too winded, her legs didn't hurt, and the bottom of her feet were holding up despite going over things that should have cut them open. Certainly she'd have a few cuts and blisters but nothing major, nothing she couldn't handle in the end.
Her humming turned to rough singing as she rounded a corner on the trail . . . only to find herself face to face with water. Seeing as Ofelia couldn't swim she figured the river couldn't be too deep, right? It was certainly too large for her to try and jump over, and there wasn't a bridge, so the teen shuffled to the bank and stuck a foot in. the currently nearly took off her leg so the idea of wading across was gone.
Another route needed to be found.

It was weird that when she finally found a way to get around the river she was back on what looked like a beach. The sand was soothing on the bottoms of her feet (maybe she did hurt them on something) and she picked her pace up, pretty sure she saw the end in sight. It looked like someone else was there, she didn't have the chance to be first, but the teen shrugged that off without even a sigh.
It wasn't like they were competing. . . right?
. . . . yeah. Right.

Ryan continued to lay on the ground, despite Ofelia motioning for them to stand up. He didn't want to stand. Healthy or not, he was comfy where he was--and that was dead on the floor.
Unfortunately, it didn't last too long. Allan was back and like Ofelia had thought, running was next on the list, with no breather in between.
Whatever.
There was no way he was getting him to run and---what the hell? Did he just throw Ofelia into the closet!?
There was barely enough time to register what was going on, before Allan began picking up and literally tossing the trainees, one by one, into the closet. Himself being no exception. Just after Rin was tossed in, Ryan was plucked up off the ground and tossed into the closet like the rest of them. By the time his surroundings stopped spinning, he realized he was outside.
"What the...?" He looked around stunned.
Allan kept a portal...in his closet? What the hell? Did all division leads have a secret portal set up or something?
Picking himself up off the ground, he dusted himself off, taking in his surroundings. They were still on the island. He could see the lighthouse and the beach below them and--
"Allright! Part two of the nakama exercise."
Ryan spun around to look up at the sun division lead. Confusion clearly written across his face.
"Everyone will be running a full lap around the campus!"
Oh was that all?
"And, you have ten minutes!"
What the ******** style="color: red">Hahahah! You better start running!:
No s**t!
"Uhhh...Shi--" Without even thinking, Ryan took off. He had never run laps around the entire campus before, nor had he seen anyone else do it. Maybe that was because it was near ******** impossible! How were they supposed to do this--without killing themselves!?
Fortunately for Ryan, after running a short distance, he found a narrow, rocky path, leading him safely over the ramparts.

Still running, Ryan had ran far enough that he reached a shall cliff before and had to skid to a halt.
"Err... I think I can...."
If he used that ledge there... and that crevice there he could---probably kill himself. Yeah not safe. Ryan figured that he'd sooner kill himself than be able to scale the cliff side. There had to be another way around.
:Better start looking, 'cause the more you stand around, the more time you're wasting.: Locke reminded, causing Ryan to scowl.
I already know that!
He grumbled back, urging himself into a run again.

He had to find another way around---but this was definitely not the route he wanted to try taking.
Ryan stared helplessly at the stream in front of him. Now, he wasn't so terrible a swimmer that he couldn't stay afloat. But this... with a current this strong, like with the cliff he might as well kiss his life goodbye.
No freaking way!
He would have to find another route.

"Oh for the love of---how many cliffs does this place have!?" He demanded, glaring at the cliff side he had stopped in front of, as though it had personally done something to offend him.

"Yeah but... couldn't it just---ugghh!" Another grumble, a few curse words and Ryan was off in another direction.
At this rate, he would be lucky to even finish.

Jumping off the ledge, Ryan opted to run across the beach instead.
It was tiring, thanks to the sand shifting beneath his feet, but it was also a lot quicker and safer than the previous routes he found. A little further and he might actually reach the end. Hopefully before whatever energy he had left ran out.

Just a little further now!
Climbing up a section of rock and crossing over another narrow ledge, Ryan could finally see the finish point! He had no idea if he was within the time limit, but at least he made it to the end. Just in time too. He was spent. It was kind of surprising that he hadn't tripped and fallen on his face yet.
Hoping off the ledge, he landed lightly on the ground and put on a burst of speed, using whatever energy he left. Which fortunately was enough. He reached the goal and then, without bothering to catch himself, dropped to the ground.
"I never..." He breathed in a shaky breath and ended up coughing a little. His lungs felt like they were on fire! "I never want to do that again."

Rin had a feeling it would be fairly short anyway, so it was perfectly okay when it took him a bit to tie his shoes. She enjoyed the seconds of rest.
When Ofelia was grabbed and tossed in his closet she started cracking the heck up - until her own waist was grabbed, "Woa - hey - what?!" and then thrown inside herself.
Emerging on the other end, she scurried out of the way for the other trainees to not fall on top of her, after which she finally realized she wasn't actually in a closet. This is just getting weirder and weirder.
Oh. Hi Allan. Guess they were running now then. After heaving a heavy forlorn sigh she went to it. She was definitely not wearing running shoes, unfortunately. So this s**t was going to hurt like hell now, tomorrow, and possibly months into the future.

Figures her first stop would be a dead end, she frowned to herself before finding her way back around.

Rin eventually happened upon a stream of water, funny, she never knew Deus had rivers. Live and learn she supposed as she took a very quick break to dip her head in and swish it around.
Ahhh, relief!
She did the same with her feet before finally moving on to find a route she could cross.
