"Best man for what?"Mot had arrived late, but better late than never. The cowboil walked up beside Hel and her posse, a leather satchel at his side.

"For Mitsu and Shun's wedding!" She smiled, and then paused, turning to look at the cowboil, "Are you going to be the bridesmaid then, Mot?"
Meanwhile, it was... Honestly difficult to ignore a really tall, really big student.
"Hi Herryk!" Insert lots of waving here.

“ Mitsu proposed to Shun, and Shun said yes.” She wasn’t jealous, no, not one bit, and she totally over it, okay?

Lizzy and Hel were quick to answer him, with varied degrees of excitement. "Wait, seriously? Th---" Lizzy was given a quick and narrow glare. "NO, Lizzy." He scowled. His best friend was making fun of him! How cruel!
He sighed and looked back down at Hel. She seemed... hm... "Uh.." She wasn't still hung up on their argument, was she?
He smiled nervously and then looked back over at Shun and Mitsu. "Congrats, you two! Mitsu, Big Bro is proud of you!"

"I was only joking..." She muttered, looking down at her tray of cupcakes, and resembling a puppy that had just been scolded when Mot glared at her; alright, she was only half joking - she was under Mac influence from spending too much time with him... Where was Mac anyway? And she still needed someone to finish her durian cupcake for her...

No, she was totally not hung up on that subject still. After a moment the ghoul's expression softened again as she looked up at the cowboil and tugged on one of his sleeve. She then gestured over to lanterns and candles. " You should go send one off, ya? I will come with."

Calder had arrived when the picnic was already well underway. There had been no rush. It was nice out, a perfect day even, and most students didn't seem to have been out in some time. Calder had been pretty much locked away from others for the last week, and had only just now stopped hearing voices and feeling less distrustful to return to Barth's room and finally get the sleep he'd been lacking all this time. When he woke, he actually worked to look presentable again, and walked across campus onto the patch of lawn by the lake. The smell of the water was intoxicating, but he'd long since gotten a handle on most of his urges around it. Most.

Mot chuckled and ruffled Lizzy's ponytail. "There there~." He was pretty sure she was just pretending to be sad, but still. He looked towards the lanters, a lot of which he had helped make, as Hel pointed them out. He nodded and took Hel's hand. "Thanks. I was late coming because I was making something for Riley."He tugged Hel toward the table and let go of her hand, taking up a lantern and candle and heading towards the water. There, he knelt by the shore, setting down the lantern and then rifling through the satchel he had brought. What he took out was a crown carved from wood, small 'gems' painted with ink decorating it. On the front, inscribed in the wood was the word " Captain", painted in purple. Mot placed the small crown over the lantern, nestling it snugly. "It took all night." He said with a chuckle, getting up and taking his lantern up with him. Mot then waded into the water enough so he could set the lantern down, giving it a small push. He watched it drift away for a very long moment, remembering all of the happy times with his idol.

The reaper followed after him, pausing as he went to pick up a lantern. “ Oh?” She murmured, brows rising as she then followed him to the lake shore. The ghoul knelt by him, watching as he then pulled out a small crown. A bit of a smile tugged at Hel’s lips. “ It is wonderful, Mot.” She complimented, watching as he placed it on the lantern. So very thoughtful, he was. Hel stayed knelt there on the shore, and kept on watching as he waded out and let his crowned lantern go. Her gaze then shifted to the floating lantern, watching as it drifted away to join the other collecting out there on the lake.

Ah - Malodore had honestly not been expecting to see Christof here, but it was a pleasant surprise. It opened its beak in a small smile. "It is good to see you," the plague doctor murmured. "Ah, would you like me to... puree a cupcake for you, later?" Shehk got a similar smile, and the plague doctor could feel itself relaxing more, some of the knots in its gut untangling further. It was good to be surrounded by its friends, by those who cared. "So it would seem," it said in reply to the pricolici's statement. "A not unwelcome sight. I do not envy them the planning, though. It seems such things require a great deal of work." Again the faint pangs of loss, but not overwhelming. Not at this moment. A flash of green and black caught its eye, and Malodore turned its head to spy Calder. " Buon giorno," it called out, giving the kelpie a small wave. It could see that there were still people lighting and floating lanterns, and it did not want to interrupt whatever private thought or meditation they might be involved in.

Calder heard the call of a familiar voice and unfamiliar words. Turning his head, he saw the waving Plague Doctor and turned to walk over, all the while looking about for any signs of trouble and also to see who was here. It put him on edge to have so many of them gathered in the open, but considering all things in the past, it really didn't matter if they were out in the open or inside. It never seemed to change the result, but that didn't stop the kelpie from playing as herd protector and keeping it's ears up and his eyes peeled for trouble or any lurking, cloaked shadows.
"Guid Morning." Calder said, not really sure of the time, smiling at his dear friend. "Nice weather. Was worried it would rain. Not that I mind, but it would have made the food and lanterns a mess." He'd helped carry most of the tables and carry the boxes for the picnic and had been watching the sky for any signs of trouble.

Mitsu was content where she was but once again a voice caught her attention making her realize they weren't quite alone. The blush was still apparent but she still smiled and waved at her big brother as he called out his congratulations. " I guess we won't have many to tell the news," Mitsu noted looking at their audience that slowly was going back to mingle with others. She was happy though, almost giddy with the thought. They were going to get married! It wasn't something she had ever put much thought into needing until now but with everything being so uncertain she didn't want to regret anything especially not something like this. Mitsu tilted her head for a moment when Hel asked about being Shun's best man. Oh that's right...planning. What all went into a wedding? Oh well, Mitsu could worry about that later. Right now she was happy and high on excitement and pulled back to take Shun's hand and lead him toward Lizzy. " Lizzy~" It was possible Mitsu was sparkling.

Gently pulling out of the kiss, Shun just stood there with Mitsu in his arms before finally acknowledging the others in the area. It was partially because she had brought them up. "Seems that way," he nodded as he moved with her towards Lizzy. As far as Hel's outburst went, he raised an eyebrow towards her, thinking about it. Actually, she did fit that position best out of those he knew. "I don't see why not," he replied to the Valkyrie, "Though I feel you may be jumping the gun a bit."

At Mot's ponytail ruffling, she couldn't help but pout... And then smile; she couldn't stay upset at the boil for long!
"Mitsuuuu!" She grinned, and sparkled in return, since clearly, sparkling was contagious, and spread through desu. She looked from Mitsu to Shun, and then back to Mitsu again, before pulling them both into a hug, "Ohhh! I'm so happy for you! For both of you!" The sound of the wind chimes around them sounded more and more like music. It was as if the person this picnic was held for approved as well... And that made her smile a little more.
"How do you feel right now?" She asked, releasing the pair. Pausing, she looked at Hel when she was appointed 'best man', her eyes widening; oh right! Roles! Turning back to Mitsu, she might look a little too eager, "C-Can I be the bridesmaid then?"

Shehk couldn't help but smile just a bit more. "Well, I hope they can at least find a place to start. Though they should also hopefully have a bit of time to get things together in too - unlike certain people," herself, "who decide to give themselves a limited amount of time to get things figured out in."
Though, even Shehk wouldn't have been able to figure out a wedding in two nights. (This was a lie. She probably could have.)
For a moment, her eyes flickered to the lanterns as various individuals went about picking them up. She would need to go and light one soon as well. Even if the memorial of the Horsemen for her had been about Riley to some extent, this too was about Riley.
"I think I should go float a lantern of my own." she said with a small sigh, "To be a part of the festivities a bit more." Public Relations. Needed to be all...social. Or rather, she couldn't let everything keep her down. However, she passed a look to Jericho. "Will you help me light it?"
