Lacie didn't know where to go. Why was this happening? This wasn't supposed to.. Clutching the folds of her dress, she looked for her friends. But what caught her attention was that several peope converged upon Invictus at once, all intending to attack him. It wasn't that she thought the heir was weak. But she despised the hunters for using such unfair methods..!
And there was that familiar fire hunter that she had seen at the haunted house. Without thinking, her body already moving -- summoning her glaive in one hand. Holding the staff with both hands, she jumped up to hit Jordan, "It's not fair! You can either do a one on one, or battle with somebody else." One minute it was all about the runes, next minute the room was ******** flooded by monsters. Rep summoned Tracey immediately. So Allan was going to try and come to their rescue? It felt much too far away. He was seeking frantically in the hubbub for Harrison and Jordan, and just as he was, saw something coming towards him, an orb of some kind of strange ******** energy that he could feel the weight of as he just narrowly leapt back from it. ******** HELL.
He spotted his assailant just as Jordan's voice reached him. Group up, he could group up alright, especially when the other sun was already running right for the b*****d who tried to shank him.

Well s**t. Apparently, they had company and even better, one of them was a horseman. The vampire was brought back out of the calm state and rudely went into what Marcus felt was a state of '********'. As in, said weapon was telling him to ******** move and to not get himself killed. The pests could be delt with later, the horsemen? Not a pest very much a problem. "Jerry!" He called out to the hunter, tossing a runic dagger in his direction. Calling out to the others, Marcus was trying to see through the mess of growing bodies. Monsters, each one needed to be sent to hell. "Go after the horseman Jerry, I'll be fine!" Almost at the same time, some a*****e swung a huge scythe at him and screamed something about getting out. Hissing in pain as he felt some of his Fear shield deteriorate, Tedan swung around to try and return the blow. This kid had a scythe? Well, he had an AXE. His threat as an individual was being recognized, that much was for sure as attacks in retaliation to his presence from several sides, really.
In fact, he willingly tried again, this time with somewhat better aim and more force to his name. Because he was the Heir to Conquest and he was going to get these whippersnappers off his lawn defend his home from these invaders.

It looked like the hunter was ignoring them! In the rush of the battle Wylfenne didn't even stop for a moment to analyse the situation. Embarrassed by their first miss, they hastened to strike again. Pheeeew! - the sword chimed. Another miss! Do the hunters have the ability to curse our swords, the fae wondered? How else could this bad luck be explained? A slightly maniacal grin had crossed Sparrow's face, his expression one of grim determination mixed with a strong adrenaline rush of anger. The axe caught him around the side, and Sparrow staggered, stumbling across the floor.
He straightened, smoothing down his coat as though conversing completely normally.
"Oh, believe me, I will."

Sammy had turned to leave, to let Invictus move on, but instead she found herself looking back catching a glimpse of white and gold. A coat, a hunter. She turned around moving down the last of the steps. She moved over a strange glyph new looking compared to the others in the War room she had seen. She didn't hesitate to move through the crowd towards Jordan. Just another hunger in the crowd, Invictus was already tangled with him so it was no surprise when her fist missed. Now there was a vaguely familiar and very much unwelcome face. Xiu's tail bristled at the sight of Jordan, her memory flickering back to the incident at the Haunted House. There was a hint of hesitation in her eyes, but it disappeared altogether when she spotted Lacie going after the Hunter. There was no way in that the baku would allow her friend to get hurt--not again.
Again, perhaps it wasn't the best idea to go up against a Hunter with a giant hammer as a weapon, but what choice did she have? She slipped forward as subtly as she could, bringing her leg up and around and she tried to slam it into the Hunters' side.

The battle just started, but Shenny was already hit: one of the human, how are they called? Hunters? made a blast from a strangely looking tube weapon; and another one hit her, as well. She was still trying to get the first hunter she noticed upon entering the room, but it was hard not to miss him with all those bodies, humans and students, messing around. It was nothing like her training before, but a complete madness.

After her first failed attempt Mei was even more determined to at least land some kind of blow upon the hunter. If she could only muster up the strength. He had a weapon. Something she did not have. He probably should have been more concerned over the fact that he had not attacked the hunter a second time, but instead Sparrow sidestepped, and then staggered again as the axe smacked painfully into his side. He frowned a bit, coughing and wiping blood from his mouth, spinning the scythe around in his hands.
Then he promptly lashed out, slamming it into the hunter's back.
