Rikki just let her run. As long as she didn't attract the attention of another horseman, he was happy. Meanwhile, he'd found a replica of the book he'd found in the forge. Flipping through the pages a bit made it clear that it was an almost exact copy. That... made it boring.
He flipped the page again, and laying there was another token. He was just scoring all kind of bounty today. He stuck it in his pocket along with the other two tokens he'd found, grinning. Oh, he was quite pleased with his finds.

There shouldnt have been anything happening. It wasn't the incessant buzzing of the students, it was like a hammering of someone uninvited. It thudded loudly in the normally quiet isles of Death, the noise skittering across the halls down to Aisa's ears like scurrying mice.
Death had no secrets to Aisa. Especially not before now.
For it to suddenly appear with the timing of the conference was disastrous, unless the conference had another blasted and extremely discourteous trick under their sleeve. Her scythe brimmed and glowered in it's hourglass form, in white and black flecks of displeasure, hanging from her waist. The sight of the heir, coming from a different and unknown direction, the black robes of death blooming around her feet indicated she had come from a different activity. But regardless, she walked ahead of the students, her expression revealing nothing but a well-learned poker face.

Danny noticed Rikki smiling to himself and wandered over to his book. She flipped through a few pages, not finding the book interesting at all. She couldn't comprehend why he found it so entertaining. A horsemen token rolled out of the pages, and Danny swiped it.
She then went back to running around the columns.
Idiotic ghoul.

Taryn! Aha! Another familiar, friendly face. Rafe waved enthusiastically. He did not, however, step away from his entirely-too-close clinging to Mort's physical space, even if he did release his shirt tail. As far as Rafe was concerned, Mort was the alpha, Taryn was part of the harem, and these other guys were...um...well, frightening. These other guys were frightening. "P-pretty crazy s-stuff, huh?" he asked Taryn as she approached, smiling uneasily.

The ghoul tagged along, though still rather wary about the situation. She was getting the feeling that whatever that was in there, it was Not Good.
“A noise,” she said to Roch, waving that comment off for something more important, “There were people running around with tablets with runes inscribed on them – alright that might not seem too strange given that we're here but those runes ...” Edel made a face. She recalled what she had seen in that terrible room back there in the Isle of War. The ringing noise had started again. “There, that noise I mean.”
As they approached the half-hidden door, the ghoul could feel the familiar strange, old Fear seeping through. A steep set of steps leading downwards confirmed her suspicions – it was probably the same kind of room she had encountered at the base of the tree. “....Muka,” she spoke with a hint of anxiety.
There were people talking down there. The ghoul knew the strix was naturally curious but even this had piqued her interest, no matter how much she wanted to deny it. Edel gestured for Roch to follow, fully aware of the fact that she was dragging him into trouble. What a good friend she was.
“Let's uhm, not go too deep into the room, in case we need to make a quick escape,” she reasoned. The climb back to the exit the previous time had taken her player way too many posts been far too dangerous.

Rikki went to follow Danny, hoping he could get her to do something other than run (hadn't she wanted to come here to explore or something?) but he was stopped before he could. Suddenly, like in the forges, there was a horrible ringing in his ear that made him duck his head and groan. Noises like that really sucked. They were kind of like alarm clocks, but Rikki wasn't sure which was worse.
He went to Danny and grabbed her arm to stop her running. When he could get her to focus, he looked at her seriously. "Have you heard the ringing?" He wanted to know he wasn't just crazy.

(( Entering!)) Amrita whined in all her childish glory. There it was, some tangible evidence full of answers, and the Library was in lockdown. Noooooo...! She was so close! SO CLOSE! She let Aymet go off to explore, loitering near the doorway with Calder until he pulled out a paper and started to write. Part of her didn't want to read over his shoulder, but there was a greater part of her that just couldn't resist. It was easier to have the paper though, and suddenly, she did!
"Calder! That's a great idea!" Amrita gleed a little bit, taking the pen and paper from him and looking at what he had already written down. Runes that aborb...well, that got Calder a really, really pointed look. Yeah, she knew that. She knew that very well and it was Calder's fault.
Writing out what she knew, Amrita passed the paper off to Aymet next, along with the pen. "Maybe we can find something else out...did you find anything in the Temple?" Her pointed look was turned to the Dracolich this time.

Silly living creatures and their "too cold" reflexes. Mort grinned nevertheless at Taryn's arrival, greeting her with a quick hug now that Rafe was not quite so clingy. "Good timing!" he said upon letting her go. "Intrigue beginning, investigation must begin. Know Rafe already yes, and this is Kettil. Super bro~"
Speaking of, he followed said bro's lead to find several hidden gems in the candles. Seriously, he needed to know what these tokens were about! But upon turning to rejoin the group, Mort couldn't help but spy a sort of giant among them: an heir among students, to be precise. "Ah, one moment. Will come back soon."
He trotted to Aisa as she moved ahead of them, calling, "Miss! Ah, Miss?"(( +2 tokens ))

Kettil heard a new voice - one talking to Mort specifically. He looked over toward the source and saw a ghoul he did not quite recognize and thus he offered her a friendly grin and a small wave in greeting as he then turned to look around more only to get hung up on a new statue holding the same thing as the one prior.
Something about it...He couldn't quite figure out what it was...
Rafe's voice registered a few moments after, "Crazy but ... it could be worse..."
DoomDoomDoom.
He watched as Mort went after someone - it looked to be one of the other horsemen...Huh! He tilted his head back toward the ghoul that had entered before and was being talked to by Rafe, "Pleased to meet ya, and this is Endzela," he indicated the Owl on his shoulder.

Alexander may have found something in a statue, but it was not food. They were now moving toward the center. And it was colder here, which meant that holding Alexander's hand was becoming more uncomfortable. There were more unusual noises as well, but apparently temples were not good places to find prey. Other than that boil... No, he should not focus on him. Perhaps he should think about those noises? "Do you know what that noise is Alexander?"

"Maybe because none of them are around to watch us-" he began, trailing off at the sight of a horsewoman entering the room. "Not really. Nobody was around when I looked. It's boring and empty here. There's a book on 'the guidance of death' that's got nothing. I don't think the way to the library is open any more, so that's out." Aymet took the paper and wrote down what little he could add.Something was going on that was attracting a lot of attention, which was good for them. He handed the paper back to Calder and stared somewhat longingly at the other side of the room everyone was staring intently at, not wanting to be out of the loop. "So what do we do?"

Roch summoned his guitar, knowing it could easily be a trap, but jackdammit, he wasn't going to let Edel run off on her own (or with the birdbrain guy). If they died, they died as a group.

"Well...just with, you know...this," Rafe attempted to clarify to Taryn, feeling now completely out of his depth. Was he the only one that was seriously concerned about being stuck here on the island? Surely he wasn't the only person who wanted to go home? He blinked, rather owlishly, at Kettil -- he only half-remembered being introduced, he had been so distracted by the feeling of being eyed as prey by another. It was kind of too late to say "nice to meet you" wasn't it? Oh, socially awkward rat was awkward. And now Mort was wandering away, and they were supposed to be exploring, and....gah. Rafe -- glancing nervously over his shoulder at Yin from time to time -- made his way tentatively around, half-heartedly sight-seeing. Well. That was a nice, erm, statue. Thing. And...hey, what was that? He peered in, curiously, and discovered a....stone? coin? talisman? He kind of didn't want to touch it. ((+1 horsey point!))

Danny noticed the candles and, in spite of herself, was immediately attracted to them. Her fingers played aimlessly with the flames, until they got stuck in the middle, on a shiny set of object. Augh yes. More tokens for token town! Mrs. Token, I believe you just had twins.
Her victory was short lived as Rikki grabbed her wrist rather forcefully, stopping her little jog. She patted Rikki's hand with the one that wasn't trapped and said, "I heard it over there ... You okay?"
A motion to her left caught her eyes. A blue swatch of hair that disappeared in a doorway, and Roch quickly following after. Were they .... Was this some sort of seven minutes in hell game? Oh no. No no no. She was stopping that right now. Danny looked at Rikki and said, "Juuust a second. I'll be right back, I promise." She scampered off down the hallway, disappearing down the same door Roch had.
