Yikes! It was still burning!
He tried channeling fear into it. It didn't work.
He tried shaking it around to see if he could make it rain.
That didn't work either.

There they were! The little jackers! Those gnomes must have lit the first fire! Taryn grumpily poured water into their bonfire and flooded them down the river. She hated gnomes.

A gnome ran back to thumb its nose at Taryn, and she yelped at it. The sloth fell out of the tree.
"Oh--! I'm so sorry!"
If only she could reach in and help it back up.

Great. It was still burning, he wasn't doing anything to fix it, he couldn't think of anything NEW to do to it, and Ktur wasn't being helpful at all.
Rafe took it all back. These instructors sucked.
Grumbling, he set it down and glowered at it. Maybe he could will something helpful into happening if he stared at it long enough. Or maybe the whole rainforest would burn down and he could go home.

On a whim, Taryn blew into the terrarium (careful to not let any fire burst forth) and seemed to blow away a patch of thick fallen leaves. A little white flower sprung up. Huh! That was-- well, the professor smiled and nodded and wandered off. It must have been a good thing! Alright, now what...
