"Uggggghhh..." she groaned in disgust, before straightening her back proudly and tossing her hair over her shoulder. "Well, fine. I suppose I can apply some of my innate talents to turn this into something worthwhile." Picking up her tool, Sabine went to work, muttering irritably about cheap old ghouls with no taste.

Luidaeg was startled when a highly disrespectful comment on the part of one of the students sent the instructor fleeing the room to compose herself. So these people did have a sense of humor, that was heartening.
Not that he planned to be any less than perfectly respectful to those in charge himself. His clan would have his hide if he made a bad impression here, assuming there was any of it left if he mouthed off to the wrong person here. He did not fancy risking his hide on the whims of another's humor, at least not until he understood them better.
Head bowed back to his work, he smiled to himself as he began to put the finishing touches on his bracelet.

She hadn't noticed that someone was staring at her until the compliment was spoken. At first Morrigan wanted to rush forward and point out every little flaw in her armlet because it felt unnatural to receive any kind of praise for her work. It was really pathetic how her parents had a mental hold on her even when she was so far from them. She simply had no idea how to accept praise when everyone she knew and loved put her down. It was awkward but.. it was nice too. She managed to bite her tongue long enough for the flood of negativity to pass.
"T...thank you," she finally said, setting her armlet carefully down on her lap before scooting closer to Aurian. "I'm Morrigan," she offered with a smile.
"Would you like some help with your.." her voice trailed off as she peeked at the schematic laying nearby, "gold.. brooch? How lovely! Nothing says classy like a beautiful brooch!"

"Next week," West muttered, not bothering to look up at the valkyrie as he finished bending his wire where he wanted it to go. It wasn't where a real jeweler probably would have put it, but as Hel had ever so helpfully pointed out, the activities one participated in on the island of Death were never going to be the sorts of things the wrath demon excelled at. He looked up at her as he set his ring down on the table in front of him, swallowing when he realized that he had actually managed to forget what had happened to her for a moment. He tried to lighten his tone, but after the muttering and ring scowling, his nonchalance came across as kind of forced, at least at first. By the time he was done with his measly two sentences, he was back to good-natured sneering. "Whatta 'bout you? Makin' a dangly thing fer yer spear?"

Aurian beamed at the ghoul as she moved closer. Yay, new friends! It wasn't much fun to sit alone, even in a classroom where the focus was on learning and not socialising. Aurian just felt better with others around her. "That's a pretty name. Mine is Aurian. Nice to meet you!" Morrigan seemed embarrassed by the compliment. Maybe she just needed to hear them more often, Aurian decided. Everyone liked to be thought well of. Aurian could help with that. "Classy? Oooh, I hope so," Aurian giggled. Morrigan seemed nice (in the whole of half a minute Aurian had known her), so Aurian admitted, "Mmmm, I'm having trouble deciding what to do. Maybe I should sketch something out first, so I don't mess up or change my mind partway through... but then I still need to make a decision first." Aurian tried to picture brooch designs that she'd seen before in Amityville or around Death Isle. Well, perhaps the ones made by the Death Clan were far too ornate and advanced for a beginner like Aurian. "Maybe I could twist some of the wire strands together for thicker parts," she thought aloud. "And I should leave space for a gem somewhere, right? What do you think, Morrigan?"

So far, everyone she had met here had been so nice to her, it was like they really were living in a different world. A world that Morrigan was beginning to enjoy a lot more. "It is nice to meet you, and your name is quite lovely as well," she returned the compliment before glancing quickly again at the schematic. Brooches did look a bit more difficult than an armlet.
"If you think sketching it out would help, that's what you should do. I am not sure if the goal was simply to make a piece of jewelry capable of holding a gem or if we were supposed to put some kind of personal touch to it. Hard to make something though and not instill a bit of youself into the design, right? And if you can sketch something down, I bet it would make it a lot easier when you go to making it. I know with mine, it was like my hands just took over on their own accord. Of course, it doesn't mean that the instructor will like my armlet, heart and all," she finished with an embarrassed chuckle. Death Clan seemed pretty ominous. The instructor might not care for such things as heart shapes or sentimental emotions like love.
"The only thing that matters is if you like it in the end," Morrigan added and that's something she felt strongly about. She was proud of her imperfect armlet, and if this new ghoul could feel that, that would make it a success. It had to!

Welp…Hel kind of felt like sticking around the Wrath Demon now. All the interaction she really had with him was at the gym, and that had been a while ago. “ Heh…” Hel paused for a moment, and then looked over at Mitsu. “ I am taking a seat here, okay? You can come if you like.” Without even waiting to see if West approved or not, the ghoul took a seat next to him, and finally opened up her pouch to see what she was working with. Hel stared. Why did you troll her, existence? A ring. Really? Hel made a soft, aggravated snort as she sorted out her items and then looked back over at West. “ Did you swallow a bug?” She asked, noting his changes in demeanor before giving him a small shrug. “ Eh. I do not know, friend. I do not think I can put a ring on my spear…so I suppose it shall be for me, then. What about you?” She leaned a bit to see what he was up to. “ Ah…are you going to keep that?” Or give it away. HMMM. As she waited for the Wrath Demon to respond…she also could help but looked over in Sabine’s direction. “ Oi. Cinnamon stick. I think that copper is going to clash, especially when it turns green. Then you will look like a Christmastival gingerghoul cookie.”

Lips pursed in concentration, Sabine tweaked and bent the wires, a task made slightly harder by her nails and her refusal to let them get damaged any further. It took awhile but she got the basic shape down. Sitting back, she eyed it critically. It needed more bling, as in gold and gems and pretty much anything but copper. She glanced around the room to see what the other students were making. At Hel's comment, she scowled and then smiled, "Oh hay ghoul, hay. I wouldn't have known that, thank you so much for your first hand knowledge of cheap jewelry. And now you're comparing me to food? Freaka, you need to get a new set of priorities. Now what are you making? Let me see you." She got up to lean over Hel, hands on hips, eyes full of I am judging you.

At some point between weaving her gold wire in just the right direction and the sound of Hel's voice Mitsu realized the ghoul was missing from her side. Looking up and around she finally spotted the Valkyrie over by West. She had seen the wrath demon from time to time but had never really spoken to him. Fidgeting for a moment Mitsu finally gathered her things and moved back so that she could sit next to Hel again, turning just in time to see her commenting on Sabine's items. She said nothing but instead decided to keep the gold bracelet she was working on in her lap out of sight. " Umm, hello," Mitsu greeted West remembering him being at the Haunted House as well. It was still something that kept her rather distracted. " What are you working on?"

"Oh...well I don't think they will just give them to us...I'm sure there will be some test...and it probably will require something I'm no good at..."Lumi fidgeted in her seat slightly before finally noticing the owl next to the boil, "Oh.."Cocking her head to the side she looked between the boil and the owl and started to ask very slowly, "If...well if you don't mind my asking...is"Waving her hand at him as a whole
"Your uhm natural form?"

Hel took a moment to think about the words she just told Sabine. Damn it. She did talk about food a lot. DAMN IT FREYA! It was easy to pin this on her meat-loving sister. The reaper scowled as well as the vampire ghoul got up and came over and judged. Hel hadn’t even gotten started yet… But oh, she knew what to tell Sabine. “ I am going to put a gold ring on this, friend.” The reaper then rather so eloquently flipped a pale middle finger at the Vampire ghoul. That being said, Hel stared at her materials for a moment longer before she got to work. Luckily she wasn’t the type to stall under the pressure of being watched and judged. She nodded to Mitsu as the Lycan came over to join her, pleased to see her near.

The vampire's expression fell a bit at seeing the gold, and she sniffed and turned away before doing a double take. No because she was currently being flipped off but because, "Ghoul, you need to take care of those cuticles, or no amount of rings will make your hands look pretty. And trust me, they need all the help they can get." Seeing the Lycan ghoul, Sabine gave a little wave, "Hay Mitzi." She was careful to stay a little away from West, though. She had a feeling his hair would clash with hers if she got within a three foot radius of the demon boil.

He didn't think they'd just give the stones to them, either. From what he'd learned, nothing in regards to schooling, or life he supposed, was just given to you. You either had to earn it, claim it, or, well, take it.
When she asked about his natural form, he smiled.
"A really big barn owl, funny enough I'm a death-omen," he replied with a nod and a small ruffle of his feathers. They were white on the underside, true to his word, though the feathers on the outside were a little darker than normal. On top of that, in his natural form he had red marks around his eyes just like the "guy-liner" permanently etched on his face.
"I'd show you but we're not allowed and even if we were allowed to shift, I'd have to go so far as to take my pin off, and that's really not allowed." Unlike a lot of other animal-like monsters and demons he had met, Julian wasn't able to freely switch between his natural and human forms. The last time he'd been in his bird form was actually when his pin was messing up on him in ChristmasTown and he'd been shifting back and forth randomly. It hadn't been a fun experience, though looking back on it, he had realized that he had been more accurate in his attacks in his smaller, natural form. Go figure.

Endzela blinked up at the boil and then let out a couple of clicks of her beak and then lightly sidled closer and began to observe for a little bit, "I'm Endzela~," she was letting Kettil take care of work instead of being on his lap or on his shoulder also the seats to either side of him seemed to have been taken up for the time being so she might as well get to know someone, "I am not disturbing you am I?"
She was trying to be polite at least. The bird-like boil seemed pretty nice so far. She approved of his appearance and demeanor so far.
Kettil tilted his head side to side as he worked with the wire and the tool provided as he twisted the wires around to his wishes - for the most part though it seemed the project was taking shape in the way it wanted to be, "A necklace. What is Ev making?" he asked in a light playful tone.
When he'd finished the product was held up to where just about anyone could see if they wanted to. Did it look like something a ghoul would wear? Yes. Did he care? No. Obviously he just made a present for his ghoulfriend or someone else that maybe wanted it. Mostly the ghoulfriend.

" M....Mitsu," The lycan corrected softly, fairly certain this bit of information was not going to sink in. Maybe she should just let it go? She knew the vampire ghoul was talking to her at least and she was being nice...in a way. " So what are you working on?" She asked curiously, looking at Sabine's copper wire with interest.
