gaia_star VAITH'S TRAINING DAY 1 CLASS STAGE ONE: TYING THE ROPE RESULT: SUCCESS
Vaith thoughtfully scratched the back of his head, his eyes taking in every curve and detail of the two war clan members before him. Vaith's grin was much more present than usual, a cheeky grin as he contemplated coolly and silently.
Just his type.
Vaith was going to feel right at home with War, even if it was simply just looking. That's all a guy like Vaith needed, right? Damn, he wasn't going to be able to stop staring or grinning. *u*~Quote: STEP ONE: Making the knot. Roll one, 6-sided dice. 3-4: Success! You are free to move onto step two.

This was... a knot.
"Augh!"
A very intricate knot.
Fallow made a frustrated noise. He should have won an award for this, it was nearly comically beautiful in its own right. With a triumphant yank, it fell apart though, and the Púca's tail swished around in agitation as he set to work trying again and... ah, trying not to get that result again.
Stupid knots. "How do you even make a lasso?" He hissed at the offending rope, and if he weren't so prideful, might have even bothered one of the other students to help him out.
Instead, he made for try number two.

He smirked at Kettil. "Thanks. Yers too." This wasn't fighting outright, but it was still kind of fun. Similarly to how he'd had no idea he could make a gold ring, West hadn't known he could tie a slip knot or stealth-restrain his fellow students with a rope either. These horsemen were just full of... interesting lessons. The boil peered around the clearing, his eyes stopping on Levi just after she saw him. Perfect. His smirk remained as he began to circle his rope above his head. It was no secret that they were competitive with each other, so no one would care if he tried to tie the tatzel up, right? He let his lasso fly, his smirk fading slightly as his rope dropped harmlessly to the ground several feet in front of her. Nope, no one would care if he completely missed.

Amarus didn't particularly mind the strange boil who had tried to rope her and failed. That made, what... two failed attempts, one success? She didn't really smile back at the ghoul, but it wasn't a hostile thing, again; just Amarus being herself. Her kind of cranky self.
She extracted herself from the rather complex mess of lassos since Mort had lassoed Zurine and the ghouls had roped each other and-- all too complicated, really. She was about to set her own lasso away when she noticed that Vaith was around, too. She vaguely remembered him, and as such, what better way to say hello than throwing a vine at him?
Success. Sweet success. Amarus waved, after having done so.

Caught by Levi. Caught by West. He had no complaints at all and meerly waited for the two to reclaim their rope before he went about reclaiming his own from the unfortunate soul he'd caught since he hadn't had the chance to do so.
Once that was done he figured he'd successfully caught a couple, he had enough failures to understand the finite need to improve his technique through further practice he simply meandered over toward the ghoul that had waved him over earlier, "Hey~. My name is Kettil," he introduced himself to her and those around her. Face your demons + Anyone talking to Amarus.

Okay, one down, two more to go. With the ghouls untangled now, he was free to choose a new target, and . . . ah look, the purple-haired boil from before presented himself nicely. As he spoke to Amarus (and once the ghoul's rope was off him), the zomboil whipped his lasso about and wrangled him a boil as well. "Got better technique, saw, though makes easy target too," he said by way of greeting, all grins as he pulled the thing off Kettil afterwards. "Mortimer, Mort is short. Good meeting! How think of class?"

Eying the boil, Clyde twirled the lasso in his hand, studying and steadying himself. If he aims and the lasso lands, he would have finish catching three classmates. That would be great. He could just sit and watch...or be a lasso target. And it seems luck was on his side for the lasso once again lands on target.
While tying knots wasn't his thing, it seems he has a much easier time trying to lasso others. He immediately went over to untie the boil from his lasso and gave him a small apology before mentally cheering. Three successful lassos done!

[[OKAY I LIED THIS ONE LAST POST xD;]]
Amarus was trying to reclaim her lasso subtly when the boil from earlier approached. The more the merrier, really. This time around, unlike in Conquest's classes, it turned out she knew a lot of the students with her this week-- that didn't mean she didn't want to meet other ones too, though. Especially since she tended towards destructive reclusive behaviours when left alone too long.
That, or long naps which accomplished nothing. "Nice to meet you, Kettil," she started; then, gesturing to each of her friends, she said, "That's Mort, Sparrow and ... I just met Zurine," was that everyone? She hoped so.

Untying her previous mistake of a knot, Mei wrinkled her nose in annoyance as she stared at her mess. It was bloody hard to untie, which made her question how she got it so tight in the first place. When it was finally loose enough, she managed to undo the knot, and start from scratch. Carefully following the steps, Mei managed to knot the rope the right way, making herself a lasso.
Now, she was to start swinging this thing around until she managed to catch herself some of her classmates? And from the looks of things, it wasn't easy. Not all the time anyways. With her lack of aim, she would no doubt have to go at this a while.
First things first..who was she to lasso first?

It was almost calming when everything was said and done, and they had been escorted to the new location. Sure this was nothing like Conquest - where water and gossip had subsided, wind and animals replaced, equally as calming . . . but Jack found this much nicer. It was . . . almost like home to him.
Taking the rope that was given to him, he looked at it, a little dumbfounded at first. Tie a knot? It had been a short while since he was made to do such a thing . . . and after a few attempts he had it perfected! Lifting the rope contently, his smile faultered on him when the loop unravelled again.
This may take a while.

Scanning the crowd of students for a potential target; the doll's crimson gaze landed on one boil in particular. Grinning to herself, she took the rope into her hands, stood to her feet, and begun to swing the loop around. Carefully aiming, she let the rope fly loose, letting it land over over the boil's shoulders and around his waist before she tugged it tight enough to pull him back a bit.
Snickering, the ghoul motioned towards the boil, and begun to undo the rope. "Hey Mort! Long time no see!"

(( ... omg pally ))C'mon then- She watched West's lasso fly closer and closer, not intending to evade for once. She watched it fall short just a foot or so in front of her. Raising her head, Levi couldn't help but laugh at West openly. KEKEKEKEKE~ She held her sides completely at his expense, holding in the urge to point at him while laughing. Ya'sure got me. Teasing a bit, the tatzel wound up her own lasso now and swung it, targeting West's horns so the loop would go up and over. Smirking, Levi reeled then reeled him in. She wasn't enjoying this, nope. But boil, did'I ever get'cha back. Loosening and removing the rope from West, Levi paused for a moment and looked down. Her tail had instinctively gone and wrapped around the end of West's as she usually did with her kin. It was only for a second and she quickly retracted it with a cough, the long white tendril returning to a swaying state behind her. Good ... good shot though. She gave West a good playful punch in the arm; nothing to see here. [ 2 students ]

Mercy and the rest of the class was shuffled along to a clearing where twin clanswomens were sitting. She took note of the two's names, Rdha and Faiza. She went up and gave her name, and recieved a basket of supplies.
She looked up to find that they proceeded to battle until the end, as a show of their power, before coming to the students with their first assignment. She was surprised and slightly disappointed to find that todays lesson was just rope making and lassoing. What did they think she was? A cowgirl? She'd rather repair than rope things. Nonetheless she took a rope and started to make a knot with it.

Aurian listened eagerly to the two Clans women. They bickered a lot... Aurian decided that they must be good friends. Friends got to tease each other, right? Or they could even be sisters - they did look very much alike. She perked up when Radha and Faiza asked the students to introduce themselves. Trotting up to Faiza, she gave the less traditionally-dressed Faiza a smile. "Hi, I'm Aurian. You guys have such pretty names. Are you sisters?" The lesson continued. Aurian that they did indeed have enough supplies. Other students ran over to the supplies. Aurian stood still for a moment, contemplating the lesson plan. Fighting, she was all on board with. But riding horses...? Aurian wasn't so sure about this. What if horses didn't like her? What if she smelled funny, compared to Horsemen? This could go very badly... Procrastinating would get her nowhere, she scolded herself. Stepping into line, Aurian took a length of vine. She moved out of the way of others and attempted to replicate the knot that Radha had shown them. Step one? Fail. Aurian wilted.

Her rope maing skills were not what she wanted, but she was not surprised by this. Mercy took the rope and proceeded to make another not. Hopefully this one would stay together and not unravel like her first one.
