Dev found herself mirroring the puca’s carnivorous grin, sharp teeth and all. “Hello there.” Her smile stretched wide as she watched the boil’s ears droop while lamenting over the rejection of his nickname. “It’s okay. Ah think it’s a good name,” she reassured, leaning forward and whispering so as not to attract Bongani’s wrath. She looked up and shot the reaper a look. “Ah still think it’s cute.” Sweets were horrible—she remember snacking on a gingerbread house the last time she had visited Amity. She still didn’t know why she had done that.

Speak of the devil, there was the other ghoul! “Nice ay ye tae join us at lest, ghoul,” Dev greeted, her tail swishing happily at the rabbit ghoul’s appearance. “As this boil here pointed out, Ahm Dev. Pleasure tae meet ye.” She gave the three a beam at the mention of ‘friends.’ It was always pleasant to make new friends during times like these. Hopefully she would still be able to talk with them even after they went back home.

Her ears briefly flattened at the mention of her voice. “Ye like how Ah talk?” Dev stared at Mea with a blank expression. “Well, thank ye! Ah dun git ‘at very often.” Dev searched around the room. “Ah dun know where th’ food is, but afterwards we can go lookin’ fur some.”

"Flowers do sound like a good idea, there are some different ones around here that would look nice." She shifted her sitting position a bit and changed her humming to match the beat of Levi's tail and the boil's humming. She enjoyed being in this little group of braiders, it was very calm compared to when all the students just came over in a rush when she met Alexander.

Lucinda beamed when the boil continued her train of thought, she was happy that she wasn't the only one. "My hair gets like that a lot, it takes forever to try and get it smooth so I gave up. I did have it long once but I cut it to my chin because it got stuck to my studying chair. It also likes to stand up on it's own." She reached up and tried to flatten the piece that stood up in the middle of her head like an antenna. It frustrated her so she gave up and went back to braiding. There were so many things in the ghoul's hair now, the little beads looked so nice.

"All these braids look so pretty so far, it's going to look so nice when everything is all finished up." Lucinda still spoke a little softer than the rest of the ghouls since she was kind of a stranger and didn't want to get yelled at for braiding the ghoul's hair.

"Indeed," Bongani replied with a soft sigh, knowing when he'd lost a battle. He wasn't about to continue fighting about it further. He supposed Fallow meant no harm...maybe. "And I suppose they must have something to eat around here somewhere, even sweets," he added for the benefit of Mae, especially having heard just how loud her stomach was rumbling with hunger.

"Perhaps there is a kitchen of some sort. We might be able to poke around a bit see. That secretary did say we had some free time before classes, correct?" Bon looked between his three companions in search of an answer. He didn't want to admit that he hadn't entirely been listening to what the teacher had been saying. It was all rather boring and Bongani could think of better things to do, like exploring Conquest Island.

It was surprisingly busy, people chattering and falling into little groups here and there. He wasn't sure if he should approach any of them or if he was better off simply hanging back on the outskirts for the time being.

He dimly realised that he should really be taking notes on this place, they were assigned homework after all.

Curling his tail back to his wing, he plucked out a paper feather and brought it forward, fishing out a pen to scribble on it in journalistic fashion.

After having handed the pink girl the flower, Faussi took a seat among the crowd that was quickly lining up to stare at the beautiful braid-work.

This place may be too calm, but at least there were plenty of people and conversations to listen in on.

At first Mea had been worried she'd upset Dev and her ears pressed tighter along her head, releasing upwards with a "boing" of sorts as the emotion passed on, back to one of happiness. "I think it's great!" She said, holding back a hop into the air. "Really? But it's so..." She paused, her eyes flitting about as she searched for a word on her tongue. "...colorful! Everyone should enjoy it!" Her ears twitched as she spoke, as if to demonstrate how even they seemed to enjoy her dialect as much as the rabbit herself did.

There was no more to be said on that matter and her bright pink eyes shifted from Dev to Bon as they filled with a hopeful lust. "I did hear something about that." Truth of the matter was she had only heard herself move across the floor as she had flitted about, she only got a bit of it and none of that information had been useful to suit the immediate purpose.

"Oooh, but they must have so many things here. We should head..." She spun slowly and extended an arm with a pointing finger. "That direction!" For a moment she sat as a statue as she stared at the destination, feeling comforted in her resolve - though with no real reason why.

From his crouched position, Ouranos twisted his head up and around.

"Greetings." His gaze was blank and curious, giving the impression of looking both at her, and past her. Turning back to the water, his fingers reached for the flower once more.

"Lotuses," he said inconsequentially. "Extensions of a pure soul. Yet I do not believe they are entirely without darkness... perhaps they could serve as omens, or warnings..."

Trailing off abruptly, Oura twisted to look up at the ghoul again. His smile was slightly bemused. "Have we met before...?"

One could almost see the confusement on Lailah's face. "I-i see." She lowered her head, as she hid her face from view. She wasn't used to crowds, but unlike the noisy, bustling, rude crowds she usually faced-- The people here were surprisingly nice! Not that it could could be said for all of Amityville, but like the naive soul ghoul she was, she thought nothing of it.

With a hesitant glance at everyone, "Jack.. Lucinda.. Amarus.. Junko..." She repeated softly, committing each person's face and name to memory. Her thoughts were interrupted by the cheerful appearance of a baku, ".. and Xiu." Her enthusiasm was contagious, sweeping everyone else into the excitement.

"It's nice to meet you all!" She exclaimed happy, as she worked on the delicate layering of hair.

Xiu seemed rather ecstatic when Junko agreed to let her help, and she immediately began to gather up some of her friend's hair, her fingers working quickly as she began to weave the black locks into a neat braid. "You have very nice hair," She chirped, even though this was probably a rather obvious fact, "We'll be sure to do your hair up in the prettiest--and most manageable--way that we can."

Levi's question to her made her perk up, but she ended up simply nodding in agreement to Jack's words, tilting her head in his direction. "Flowers, yes! But we...probably shouldn't pick anything without asking first, I'd think. Considering what Arel said, well..." Goodness knows that the baku would be none too pleased if someone came into her garden and began picking flowers without permission.

But hmm, since it seemed Junko had brought decorations with her anyways, perhaps they could use some of those too? Using one had to hold the braid together, Xiu reached out with the other to poke through Junko's bag. Let's see...maybe a ribbon to tie off the braid with? Or...

As she root though the hair decorations, the baku briefly glanced up to beam at Lailah, her tail sweeping the ground behind her. "A lot of names to remember, huh?" She looked sympathetic, but her expression quickly changed to one of optimism, "It'll be nice having class together, I think! Maybe we can all sit together!"

Xiu's initial anxiety about this exchange program had all but disappeared completely by this point. She was actually having a lot of fun right now, with both the stunning setting and the people she was with contributing greatly to her excitement.

Well, it certainly did seem like there was quite the gathering inside of the Pavilion, the Heir stepping into it after the original briefing had come to pass, only pausing to turn to the attendant and offer a bow. If they had thought the horseman was mannered before, it almost seemed as though the location they were in only made hiw manners seem twofold. "Thank you for taking the time to be here to greet the students from Amityville." he bid, before turning to look to see what students were gathered.

It seemed like an interesting mix of them, and yet he didn't seem surprised in the least, looking over all of them one by one...

Zar was just making a note of how braiding seemed to be some kind of relaxation ritual amongst the students and how he would have to see about getting into some more comfortable clothing for this climate when someone else entered the pavillion.

At first he dismissed it as another attendant before he recognised the boil's face.

Hie glared coldly, his pupils narrowing down to slits and his pen went clean through the paper he'd been writing on, wings bristling and tail lashing irritably.

"I would say take your time but I think we need to be quick so we can be shown where our dorms are.." Junko still sounded blissfully content, looking ready to fall into a peaceful sleep from pure amazing attention. She was so happy. So very, very happy. It was nice that everyone was getting along, too. This place was the best ever.

Can they just adopt her?

Could she be Invictus' sister or something?

Cousin?

Distant relative?

She just wanted to live here forever.

Speaking of the boil! There he was! Junko opened one eye to find him without turning her head, lifting a hand and giving Invictus a wave. "Hello, Invictus! Your home is beautiful!" She resisted the urge to say she wanted to stay forever.

"Ahh, ahh,"
The Púca's ears shuddered straight to the top of his head when Dev whispered to him, head turning to nearly knock into hers again. "Yes. A very good name. Hmmhmmm, but Bon - ah - gani isn't cute." The monster stage-whispered to her, even though if Bongani was paying attention, he could probably hear. Even a creature with sawdust in his brain could tell that the witch doctor couldn't be categorized as cute, after all.

Ears quirking at the allowance of, well, part of the nickname, Fallow all but pranced back over to Bongani, tail swishing rapidly from side to side in some sort of tell-tale sign of prideful satisfaction. "Ahh, ahh. Bon. Yes. Bon. I like it, hmm." Settling down close enough to all three of them that he could easily reach out and step closer to any at ease and will, the Púca gave a delighted twist of his ears before his attention was tugged back again by Alamea's voice. It was like the three were playing volleyball with his attention span in a three-way court, and it was becoming wretchedly difficult to keep his attention so easily switching focus all the time.

"No, I do not. Hmm. What do you like to eat?"
His tail flicked rapidly around, still somewhat shaken by the abrupt yank. The Púca was rather sensitive in both his ears and tail; the idea of yanking on them hard enough to hurt made him finicky and filled with nervous excitement at the same time. When the girl made rounds to talk to the other two, Fallow instinctively drew closer to them, every bit possessive in subconscious nature as he was instinctual. However, a part of him cooled at the notion that this girl was his too. Not a threat. Not a threat.

Focus swiveling back to Mea, his lips splintered into a carnivorous grin. "Yes. Good. Friends then. I like that." Listening to the sound of her belly, Fallow's ears quirked in curiosity, and thoughtlessly, he reached out to poke the girls small stomach. "Are you always looking for food then?" The question was not entirely thought out, but the Púca had no qualms about asking what he wanted when he wanted, no matter the absurdity of the subject matter. At any rate, hopefully they would have food soon for the rabbit. And hopefully some fun.

Listening to the conversation that followed, Fallow rumbled softly in thought. Kitchens would be nice. Sweets... ah, who wanted sweets when there might be meat around? The carnivorous side of the Púca caved guiltily into the thought of what the Conquest Island had in store for them so far as guilty - if not completely unneeded - pleasures went. "Think so," He rumbled noncommittally to Bongani in response to the free time question, leaning into the others presence again to stare at the markings he hadn't quite payed attention to earlier. "Wasn't really listening, aaah."

And again, he was barely listening, simply allowing the three others to converse around him, his mind consumed by wanderlust and intrigue, and the insatiable hunger for moremoremore. His eyes drifted across the crowd, picking at each and every new arrival with a fair bit of interest, though he was content now with Dev, Mea, and Bongani. Anyways, he would - hopefully - be able to meet some more of them, but all in good time, or something of that... ah, nature.

Gotcha! Saluting Junko with a now free hand, Levi looked about at Jack, Xiu, Lucinda and Lailah. The braiding was nearly done with from what she could tell. Now they needed to begin crossing with one another to make the larger braid. Looks 'bout time fer putting' 'em together anywho, eh? Good point ta start puttin' things in if we're gonna so they're good n' sturdy in thar.

Taking a few of the flower-like pins from Junko's bag, Levi swung over to the beginning of Jack's braid, waving Lucinda, Xiu and Lailah over to the beginning as well. If we take'a few things, we can start connectin'.

At the appearance of Invictus, Levi bowed her head respectfully. She'd met the horseman heir to conquest before and attended his classes. This was a figure she certainly admired and would treat with the upmost respect while in his home.

[Entering]

Something about this place seemed calm and tranquil. Sepheran didn't need to see or be told that to know it. He felt it the moment he stepped out of the portal. Honestly he hadn't known what to expect when he signed up for this. It was after the Trials he knew just how much he had to grow to become stronger, to be able to protect his friends and classmates. He didn't want to lose anyone like he had. That was his main reason for doing this, and for the first time he felt this was the right decision.

The horsemen clans were strong, the Basilisk boil could even come to admire them all. It was truly an honor that he even got to study with them. It seemed like he could learn so much more. Not to say that he didn't learn anything from Amityville, it was just for some reason it felt safer to learn here. Of course that was probably just due to the change in environment and was not really relevant at all.

As everyone followed in and formed their groups talking among themselves, Sepheran settled for hanging back on the sidelines. He didn't see anyone he knew right off the bat, but eventually he was sure to make some new friends. For now he was just content in enjoying the feel of peace. After all, the real work had yet to start. He would be ready to give this class his all when it finally started.
