Candace grinned. "I know." She gave the air between them a little peck of a kiss and winked, pushing him away with a gentle hand against his chest before stepping away from the man entirely. Atropos was unsummoned as she walked. "Yeah, thanks." She told Cass with a grin, offering her hand up for a high five. <******** yeah she could always count on a Mist.
Because Mist is the best division, okay.
"I think we've found everything we can find here..." Candace frowned, noticing there was the flash of lights starting to creep around the corner. Someone was coming and here they were standing in the middle of a very wrecked walkway. "Jordan..?" She pointed toward the lights. "I hope that excuse of yours is ready juuuust in case..."

Jordan returned the grin and clapped Robert on the back. "You're the best, man."
He looked around the area again, frowning as he recalled himself to business. "We might want to call off further investigation and get out of here. We can't keep from being noticed forever, and three of us aren't in any shape for further fighting; if any more of those things turn up - " He broke off, shaking his head with frustration. "From what we did gather, there's not much more we can do here, aside hunt evidence to what's already happened, and that can be done when we're not so beat up."
He looked up at the figure approaching and grimaced. "Desummon and head for the portal, guys," he said quietly, and stalked forward to meet the intruder, putting on a furious scowl. "It's about time someone got here," he snapped. "Do you have any idea who did this?" He gestured wildly around at the general destruction the poltergeist had caused. "Look at this! Destruction of assets, defacing of park property - get someone in here to record an assessment of the damage and get the tapes from the cameras. Upper management's going to throw a fit."
He put his hands on his hips and gave the hapless employee a cold, irritated glare. "It'd better have been someone I can fire. If I find out security missed a guest ... What are you still doing here? Go get the process started and get me a cleanup crew! Don't stand around gawking!"

Rep throughout the fight had been chomping at the bit to get back into the fray, kept at bay primarily by Robert's stern stance in his way. Yes. His stance. That's what Rep was looking at. Before he had actual /time/ to get properly petulant however about having to be the ******** damsel in distress who had to be kept at bay for their own good, the ghost was dispatched. He couldn't really complain about it though, watching Ferros smash these ghosts was always pretty damn entertaining.
Even as the order to leave was given Rep didn't leave right away, just lingered weaponless for just a moment to watch Jordan give some hapless guy the dressing down of his life.
It was worth it.

"Way ahead of you." Candace replied to Jordan's order to get out. She tugged off the stupid orange vest and put her hunter coat back on, looking around for a way to sneak off without getting anyone's attention. Ah! There was one behind the bushes! "This way, hurry." She hissed to Robert, Cass and Rep. Jordan could handle himself, he'd shown himself capable. She waited for them to follow before she darted behind the bushes, creeping behind them in a hurry toward the portal.
The person who came around the corner was a man in a hard hat and a bright orange vest exactly as Jordan was wearing. He had an orange ID hanging from his hip and was dressed in dark blue pants and a matching blue shirt, his name sewn on a patch onto the shirt. His flashlight flashed all around, a look of dismay, confusion and shock clear on his face. "The ******** happened here?!" Jordan's sudden arrival into his personal bubble startled him. Who the hell was this guy? He was dressed too nicely to be third shift...management, maybe? They were always ******** promoting people without telling anyone. "Do you have any idea what this is?! This is thousands of ******** dollars of--THE PAVEMENT! s**t!" Upper management? Was he simply a manager then? He didn't know this guy. He didn't have a visible ID. He didn't have a nametag...
Who Jordan was wasn't as important as the week's worth of damage they were going to have to start repairing in hours, but the guy unclipped a Nextel radio from his hip. It chirped. "Hey Rick, this is John. I could really use your help over here...and a security guard or two." A look was shot to Jordan. "You wait here."
Thankfully for Jordan John seemed to be an older man. Surely he was not a runner...

Good, his distraction had given the others enough time to get out of sight. Jordan considered his options rapidly. Being here when security arrived was out of the question. It was unlikely that the worker would try to grab him if he left; if the guy did try something, Jordan was confident that he could shake him off.
If nothing else, he could summon Ferros; the shock of the weapon's sudden appearance would throw the man off and make him reluctant to follow. If there were working cameras in the area, they were already on tape and it wouldn't make a difference, and if they weren't, it was damn sure that nobody would believe John if he said anything about it.
That he'd save for a last resort, though. "I'm already behind on my schedule," he snapped back at John. "I'm sure you can handle keeping an eye on some inanimate objects for a few minutes. If you'll excuse me." He turned and stalked away, keeping his back straight and shoulders set square, an aggressive snap of irritation in his step. He'd loop back to the portal instead of following the others directly.
He didn't look back, but listened carefully in case John decided to actually try anything.

"Yeah, no problem. See you homeside, Jordan." She could hear him rambling about damage control behind her as the rest of them moved to make their own retreat as well.
Cass seemed content to unsummon Nicodemus when it seemed like things were wrapping up, stretching out a bit. Too bad she hadn't gotten a bit more help in for everybody else. Maybe she should have been helping on the heal front as well. She wasn't sure. Either way, it seemed like it was time to get out, and Cass wasn't going to waste time arguing. This wasn't her mission, she was just back-up and now it was time to go home.
"Coming!" she returned to Candace's directions as she ran after the older Mist Trainee, ducking into the bushes after her and through the portal. She wasn't going to linger there any longer.

Behind schedule? Where did this guy get off?! "Hey! Get back here!" John shouted as Jordan made off like a bat out of hell. The man did try to chase him, but he didn't get far; the other boy was much younger and more full of energy than he was, and despite his job he was getting there in age and uh...gut size. It wasn't long before he was panting, grunted and made his way back to the destroyed area.
Candace had been waiting in the bushes near their portal, having refused to go through the portal without being damn sure her entire team would be there as well. "Jordan! Over here!" She said in a hissed whisper when she spotted him, raising an arm to get his attention. "Quick, hurry. I saw a bunch of security and s**t prowling around."

He'd had to do some quick footwork to lose the park worker, but the guy was a good bit heavier, and gave up soon enough. That was a relief. Jordan spotted Candace when she waved, and he hurried over. "Not arguing," he said. "I lost the guy, but who knows when someone will come through here. Thanks."
He nodded to Candace and ducked through the portal.

Candace nodded. "No problem. I wasn't comfortable leaving until I was sure everyone made it." She gestured to the portal, allowing Jordan to step through first before she followed close behind him. The portal closed once she was on the other side.
