What mark? The Anima's thought honed on the Seer, requesting an answer. What could she mean? Why would she need to mark a dead man? He need only lie... he need only poison his words, and take that venom upon himself.

The Void Lord gave no one pause. His feet found sure and steady footing as they strode fiercely forward. He paid those straggling wilders at the mouth of the tunnel no heed. His eyes glowed between the faint and flickering torchlight along the tunnel's walls. His jaw was set and his face was stone cold; those gleaming violet orbs did not glance anywhere but the end of the tunnel, out of view to all but him as his eyes pierced through the flickering darkness to its very end. Perhaps it was this frightening look of conviction that caused the stragglers to scatter from him, streaming back towards the army advancing into the Maelstrom or clinging to the tunnel walls until he had passed with the woman he had in tow; Lady Liliana, their hands laced tightly together as he drove relentlessly forward. He heard his Master's call among the Enon, bellowing from the maelstrom with fanfare crescendoed by the howls of shadows.

কেবলরাম আত্মা হল খনি.

He moved one wilder, frozen in indecision, out of their path. As his eyes found two familiar shapes, uncloaked by the embrace of the void, The Black Shev'Axjrum spoke again.

কুটুম্ব-অঁ্যা, আপনি আমাকে সন্তুষ্ট করেছে

This is the only moment Krayth's pace slowed. He looked to Kinetav there, in the tunnel, speaking in some perceived confidence with the stranger he brought to Andalusia. It meant that Kinetav had done as he asked. The Vampire's soul had gone to The Void. The younger Anima had not given in to his hunger. That was good, but did not change things... in fact his presence here, with the one named Krona, outside of the Maelstrom, complicated things considerably... or did it? He could see the oath etched irrevocably into her soul. He would trust that she could be trusted. If she could not, well... he could not kill her, but that didn't mean he had to save her.

"Kinetav."

The Void Lord did not elaborate until he was right next to Krona and Kinetav. His eyes met Krona's only once. They lingered, but not long. Greater things were at stake then meeting new acquaintances, and time was entirely of the essence. He turned back to his kin and spoke in urgent whispers. "When I speak, you will not question what I say, nor will you give any other reason to. Do not ask what and only say yes, please. I will explain." His eyes darted back to Krona's once, and even then, in her presence, he offered no words. Everything hinged on Kinetav.

I gave word if he should start anything in this land, I would kill him myself, Liliana replied as she was guided along the tunnel. And I wish to hold true to my word. When they came to Kinetav and Krona, she could smell the blood. "Whichever of you need healing, say so now so I might help you."

”From the Shadow, we crawled out….”

*Kinetav's grin spread ear to ear as the cavern roared with Ba'Shev's response, the Anima actually turning back towards the Maelstrom and bowing in response to the words although he knew Krona could not understand them. The Anima rose back to his full height, and turned back to Krona with that same confident stare, a mix between insanity and confidence as the Anima could almost feel what her answer was going to be. The grin began to fade, the look in his eyes almost with a certain disappointment in them as they turned to the tunnel's entrance. A very familiar presence began to stir inside him, a dark presence, that of his Anima "brother", Krayth.

The Void Lord had returned so quickly, an odd prospect...did it have something to do with that apparition Kinetav saw back in the Maelstrom, speaking to the Anima as if he was an entirely different person. Alongside his Voidsworn brother came Liliana, quite possibly the one who the apparition had spoken about. Krayth's first word stopped the Omen in his tracks, and his eyebrow slightly raise in question. His heart burned for the knowledge of Krona's answer, but the Void Lord's urgent tone suggested that there was simply no time as the Omen fully turned and faced Krayth.

Questions raised in Kinetav's mind in response to the Void Lord's request before, the Anima having to force himself mentally to bite his tongue. Krayth's manner seemed...overly suspicious, almost as if the man was afraid or nervous about a matter. Even with a new Voidsworn in front of him, Krayth moved not an inch, instead focusing on making sure to ask Kinetav to agree with everything that Krayth said. The steel-grey eyes gazed upon Liliana next, giving a full response and field report as matter of factly as he used to do when giving it to Eraysia:*

"Dominic first wounded Krona in the arm, although I do not know as to what extent. Fortunately for me, I found him with the weapon in his hand and ended his existance, but not before he gave me this cut on my left cheek. If you could heal both of us, that'd be grand."

”….and to the Shadow, we will return.”

(( sorry for te quick, rough, unformated post @~@ Im in between classes))

She held Kinetav's gaze. Her own eyes did not flicker, her own lips did not move. She opened them, prepared to answer his question with affirmation. Why not? She was not ashamed of her bloodlust. To her, there was no shame in taking pleasure in a kill for just reasons. There was no shame in lusting for the blood of the guilty. In fact, she took a certain pride in it.
But before she could confirm that she felt, and was proud of the same delight in the kill that she saw reflected in Kinetav's eyes, she was interrupted by the arrival of two others. One was Liliana, who she was acquainted with. The was a stranger. He had the same midnight skin as Kinetav, the same bright white hair that contrasted harshly with his dark skin. He was taller, and his face held the lines and wisdom of advanced age, but Krona knew immediately that this man two, was an anima, and the dark aura that came from him, told her that was a Voidsworn brother.

A darkness swathed the man. It was shadow different from their own; darker, deeper, more sinister. It was shadow that demanded obedience, that commanded power. If the shadow the consumed herself and Kinetav were soilder's of the void, this darkness was a general, who knew no master other than the void itself.

Her gaze followed him, weary disdainful. She had never felt compelled to obey anyone before, but the presence of this man near her stirred within her feelings of submission. It was the same urge to obey that had seized her within the maelstrom, when she had heard the firm words in the black tongue. And knowing that, there was no doubt within her mind that the dark stranger, identical and different fro Kinetav, was Krayth.

Her eyes, her face, her body did not reflect it, but behind the ? of indifference, contempt stirred. Already she disliked this man, for the simple reason that he commanded a power she knew within her she was compelled to obey, if he so wished. The contempt only increased when he bruised her ego by ignoring her. She saw his eyes flit to her, rove over her, then move way, without a flicker of acknowledgement.

She was accustomed to being ignored. In fact it was how she preferred things - it was far easier to complete her tasks when in the shadows of perceptions - but when this man ignored her....it irritated her. Her tongue itched to say something, but better judgment held it fast; she knew it was not wise to speak against this man.

So she simply sat, with all stoicism of a statue and watched their exchange.

She blinked and glanced down at her arm. In her irritation she had temporarily forgotten her injuries. It was easy to do so; he black blood numbed the pain that would have acted as a reminder for most. She could have been bleeding to death and she would not have noticed. Her fingers touched the dark bandage staunching her bleeding and she nodded in agreement with Kinetav.

An injured arm would hinder her later; executing justice was more difficult when she was injured...and it was her whip-arm.

"I think his ribs are also injured." She added, remembering how Kinetav and coughed up blood upon their arrival through shadow-step.

Her voice was cold. Though she address Liliana, she was eyeing Krayth. Vaguely, she wondered if he'd ever committed injustice.

Finally, irritated with his ignoring her, she spoke up, "You are Krayth." It was a statement, not a question.

Liliana saw what went through Krona's mind, the thoughts irritating her for some reason. She could feel a venom rising inside her that she never expected to happen. But she managed to keep her tongue. "Come here. I'll be able to heal both of you." White threads gathered in her hands to pass to each of them. Their injuries would be quickly knitted shut and healed without any pain to them. Liliana leaned heavily on Krayth. "We'll be needing to rest soon. Time is marching forward, Krayth."

The Wilders within the Maelstrom could not be seen, and could not be heard. Their presence; their actions; their placement was known to no one but one.

Those tribesmen who had not yet entered the Maelstrom were now turning quickly towards Krayth. Many who had been slowly withdrawing from the tunnel were now rallying towards him. "VALDIIR IS HERE! VALDIIR IS HERE!" They exclaimed many times, and many more rushed to the tail end of the wilders marching into Maelstrom to grab those that were still visible; pulling at their arms and forcing them to turn and behold their Lord. The commotion began slowly, and then grew like a landslide of sound except that still it was dwarfed by the howling joys of the darkness rimming the maelstrom. Now they began to flock; and the tribes began to pull back from inside the Maelstrom; unable to hear the shouts outside but feeling the constant draw of their kin silently signalling that they should return. Vesyr, Adellos, and the others were nowhere to be seen.

The Void Lord was focused entirely on Kinetav, even as wilders began to call his name. He needed to be sure that his kin understood and that even if he did not, he would obey. Krayth saw it in Kinetav's eyes and face. He would. Relief passed over him; but only Liliana could see it. He remained calm faced and stone eyed. It endured even through,

"You are Krayth"

Lord Tal'Deraz glanced back at the Voidsworn stranger. He knew her well yet not at all. Just as she could peer into his, her soul spoke to him. Her darkness, deception and power played through the shadows and darkness. He could see through it now, all of this black and tarred air. Krayth said nothing at first. It was Beyruun that did not stay silent. The sword in his hand warped upwards, moving as an abyssal ooze as it rushed up his arm to coil outwards towards her. Glinting black fangs snapped at her face as the serpentine creation hissed, "He is, weakling! Welcome to--" The arm that Beyruun hung on snapped upwards, the fingers of its hand clenching through to its palm. It glared with its one misting eye before it answered its brothers call. Slithering into the folds of Krayth's jacket, it fell silent. In the same moment, the Anima's free hand did not move towards Krona at all.

"I am. Patience, please."

Liliana... I do not think you can.

Only moments before had he been able to see into the Maelstrom. Now he witnessed the web of wilders within its blinding dome. Now was also its time of passing. Once more amidst the desperate and furious screams of the darkness at its rim, the window into The Void's realm resounded with The Master Black Shev'Axjrum's endless, boundless words.

আপনার অন্তরে চিরদিন আমাকে মনে রেখো

Krayth shut his eyes amidst the anti-sound. Outside the maelstrom it held no power over the world's sounds... but still he could feel its silence inside of him, surgically fileting the doubts from his mind. As tribesmen began to close in on him, his lips so dark and nearly invisible against the shadows, mouthed unreadable words for no syllable was shaped. আমি আপনি রাখা চিরতরে, নাইট কুইন. Hearing his silence, there came a resounding response.

আমি অন্ধকার থেকে আপনি পাহারা. আমরা স্মরণ! আমরা থাকা!

Then it was gone. The maelstrom, the Master, the inhuman howls were all replaced by human ones. Men yelled wildly into what was once utter silence, cursing and screaming incomprehensibly as their breath usddenly paused and all sound gave way to deepening sighs. Within what once had been the maelstrom, there was Ulthran tower and the cavern just as they had been before. Between the tunnel and the tower was a river of tribesmen, all clamoring and massing together. Shouts gave way to cheers, and the triumphant chants of the tribes boomed between the cave's walls. Vesyr could be seen above the others, Yorda still held at his broad shoulder. Their eyes were all turned down to the ground. Then, a cry rang out among the wilders. It started as a single voice.

"VAMPIRE!"

It caught like wild fire, burning through the air in the lungs of every tribe that heard it. "VAMPIRE! VAMPIRE! VAMPIRE!
No screams of fear, but rage. Amidst the violent chants, Krayth remained still for all of a second. His gaze flashed between each of them -Kinetav first, then Krona, then Liliana- and then he stalked swiftly away from them with no indication to follow or stay... but his previous words resonated with them. "PART BEFORE ME! FAR'AS E'TWON! I AM HERE!" Even amidst the unified bellows against the corpse somewhere ahead, the roars of "VALDIIR IS HERE! SAL'TOR VALDIIR!" clashed in the middle. A war of words ensued that lasted all of a few minutes, as the Desert's Lord advanced down the tunnel. It was ended by the piercing command of Uskarr's Dire Hawk. Murmuring quiet followed. Those wilders in Krayth's path stepped aside or pushed ahead to clear his path. Should the others follow, they would find the path clear.

At the front of the unified tribes was Vesyr, Yorda, Tealara and Adellos. Uskarr was pushing his way towards them at the same time as Krayth, but his Lord was faster and would arrive first. When he did, he found Adellos hunched over the pale corpse of a Vampire. The young undead's face was frightfully contorted and its pulled twisted open in the final moments of a scream. In its one intact hand -the other having been savagely chopped from his arm- was the Last Son's heirloom hatchet. Blood was pooled and smeared all about and on him, and its brown expired tones were smeared along Adellos' arms as well. The Were-Jackal's eyes cut to Krayth immediately, as did all of the others. The Anima's mouth tasted like moss and dirt. It always did before a lie; one that would be known only by four, and one he spoke like the truth.

"Adellos, Last Son of Sky... you honor your kin and clan with every breath you draw." These words were soft, poignant and sincere. The Were-Jackal's burning hound eyes were doused by confusion. He cocked his head at his Lord, cold corpse still clutched in his claws. Blood still wet at their feet. Vesyr, Yorda and Telara all looked at Krayth at once. He raised one hand over his head, and then the Anima spoke over all of his subjects, addressing each tribe as one. "Today, no one has more honor! On our darkest day, a Vampire came among us! He sought the secrets of the Barons! He stole away to this place, thinking he would go unnoticed and that he alone could claim the Desert for himself! He was a fool, and blind to the wards set against him. Even in the wake of their black magic, Adellos showed no fear!" No wilder would question that. Even now, fresh in their minds was his rallying call; his charge into the maelstrom. Even now, more chants began to rise. This time, it was one word. "SAN'AL! SAN'AL! SAN'AL!" Krayth's declarations did not end when his people's chants began. The continued, and his face wore his mask of vengeance.

"Set his body on spears beside the Barons and Sephra, so all may see his face and know the horrors that await our enemies! Death to all that would attack us as we grieve! They defile the memory of Azur'a Bascule! DEATH TO ALL DEFILERS!" The tribes' voices swelled up, echoing his ultimatum. The cavern was brewing with activity, chanting, cheering, as Adellos stared at Krayth. Krayth stared right back. The Anima could feel his friend's confusion, anger, suspicion... and he did not wither against it. Stone faced and tall, the Void Lord met his Captain's gaze and cracked through the walls of Jackal sensibilities. "ALTERAS, YOUR LAST SON BRINGS GLORY TO SKY TRIBE!" Adellos howled into the yawning cavern, and his voice boomed back at them as he hoisted Dominic's dead body over his head and hurtled it to the ground. The tribesmen gathered around him to remove the body to its rightful resting place... and the Last Son spoke again, loud but no howl. His eyes never left Krayth's. "I must seek counsel with my Lord. As your Captain, I invoke my right of counsel!" Krayth nodded somberly and promptly responded, "Granted. Please, Vesyr, Liliana, Telara, Kinetav, all of you," he addressed each of them as Adellos came to stand beside him, "By right of counsel, I must speak in confidence with Adellos. Where do you wish to take counsel?" "Tower Ul'Thran," growled the were-Jackal. His words made many wilders look on with surprise Krayth nodded once more to Adellos and continued, "None are to enter behind us, and none are permitted to interrupt until Adellos leaves the tower. Vesyr, guard the door behind us." The Vestitor looked down on his Lord and nodded stoicly. Yorda kissed his chitinous cheek as he lowered her to the floor, where she was met by Telara.

"Do any of you wish to speak with me before I hold counsel?" His words were sincere, and would one raise there voice they would speak. He would not deny them that. That did not change the fact that his eyes glanced to each of them, and in those smoldering orbs was a sense of urgency.

”From the Shadow, we crawled out….”

*Kinetav turned his cheek towards the white threads as they leaned out, but as per Krona's request, Liliana covered his entire midsection and most of his body in white thread as precaution. The Omen closed his eyes, and sighed in relief as they faded away, placing a hand to his now smooth and healed flesh on the cheek. The Anima's eyes studied Krona's reaction to the thread and was more pleased at her healing than his own, and at Ba'Shev's pleasure with his sacrifice. His eyes met Krona's with a new confidence, a new meaning, a new understanding of his Matron and her ways through being inside of that Dark Maelstrom. Kinetav's first words only came at the sound of Krayth's exodus lunging out for Krona, and Krayth's silencing of it gave the Omen some relief as he spoke:*

"I hope that I have as much control over Edge as you have over your Exodus, brother. I have to admit, the effects on me have been rather unique as of late..."

*Kinetav shifted through the memories of his souls, searching for a soul that might've known of an Exodus as advanced as Krayth's or an Anima with a voice like his -- the next time he spoke, the Hollow part of him came out with Edge's voice intwined:*

"Because I cannot recall any memories of an Exodus as advanced as yours, or as physically intwined as mine...as you can hear now, apparently..."

*Kinetav was beginning to link it all together as the voice came back at the recollection of memories, but the Anima's thoughts were cut off short as Ba'Shev boomed more responses from her home in Ul'thran tower. The words echoed in his mind, forever imprinted in Kinetav's memories....

I promise, Ba'Shev. I will never forget your lessons, nor your desires, nor what you have done here...

And with that, the dark maelstrom disappeared; inhuman screeches and wails turning to that of audible, ordinary, boring, and overall intelligible human sounds. The first thing that was heard was the cry of seeing a Vampire, the same cry as was first heard in the Sky Basin after just the mentioning of Dominic's presence. Surely enough, it had to be Dominic that was slain, and it make a small smile curl up at the end of Kinetav's lip. The Omen had protected his friends and also served his Matron, whether it was justice or not, and in a single action to boot. As Krayth's look was shot his way, the Omen returned a very proud look back to the Void Lord before Krayth took off. Shrugging it off mentally, Kinetav followed right behind him, the wilders clearing the way for their Lord.

When he got to the front, the sight...was absolutely beautiful to the Anima and Exodus alike. Dominic's body lay maimed on the floor, Edge drooling all over again at the thought of the blood on his metal. It appeared as if the Vampire had tried to scream...how...beautifully futile his actions were. Kinetav felt an immense pride in his actions, once again particularly in making his Matron happy more than in the thrill of killing such an easy prey. Kinetav's eyes opened slightly in shock and confusion at the proclaimation of Adellos' praise from Krayth before he bit his tongue, remembering well the Void Lord's prior words as the Wilders around him chanted Adellos' name...in the language of the desert, no doubt.

Publicly, the kill was given to Adellos, and the head to be mounted on the wall along with the rest of the Vampires. Privately...Kinetav's heart soared with even more self-confidence, knowing that the head of his first kill in Rykros and first proper sacrifice to Ba'Shev would be mounted to remember forever. Those words continued to echo in his mind... I remember... I remember... The Omen was reawakened by the calling of his name, and something about the right of council with Adellos. The words that spilled forth from Kinetav's mouth held the same Hollow tone that he had recently gained, the wilders closest to him surely able to hear his response:*

"As you wish, Lord Krayth."

*Kinetav's stance spoke not of a newcomer to the desert, or a man who was afraid or shocked of where he was or what he had just witnessed. His stance was calm, as if he was home...but there were tendrils of red in his right eye as he was still slightly upset about not only Ba'Shev's absence in a place that the Omen still considered sacred to his Matron, but the public kill going to Adellos. None-the-less, Krayth had to have a plan...the Void Lord knew, Liliana knew, Krona knew...and most importantly, Ba'Shev knew the truth. With that in mind, the Hollow voice spilled forth once more, directed at Liliana as Vesyr guarded the door and the other guardians of the desert was nearby him:*

"Liliana, please give me back my gauntlets, and thank you for taking care of them on my behalf."

”….and to the Shadow, we will return.”

╔════════════════════════╗
"What injustice have you committed?"
╚════════════════════════╝

Only the release of pressure, and the loss of the sensation of warm liquid traveling down her skin, told Krona that her wounds had been healed. She glanced down to see the canyons that had split the smooth plains of her skin, gone, closed up, no longer over flowing with red liquid.

She gave Liliana thanks without a single glance in her direction. Her voice betrayed no true gratitude; only the irritation simmer within her. All her attention lay on Krayth, only wavering to glance at Kinetav, ensure his injuries were healed, and seeing that they were, gave flash of a satisfied smile before turning a cold visage upon Krayth.

Instinct sent her hand flashing outward, one to protect her face, the other to take hold of this threat, and chocked from its control, and it's life.
The Black Blood returned the baleful glare, her eyes seeping in violet, her body leaking it from her pores in response the quick beat of her heart, the rush of the blood through her veins, the alertness of her conscious to another attack. And curiosity of her mind towards what her eyes had told it.
It held the image of the serpentine creature close to it. There was no fear for the image or its master. Only the hunger for knowledge, for her curiosity to be sated. Only the desire to know the truth behind what she had undoubtedly witnessed: the transformation, the speaking of a weapon.

And if this Krayth was of the same blood as Kinetav...there was now no doubt in her mind that Edge was much more than he simple dagger it seemed. There was no doubt that what she had sensed, the presence, those eyes, was much more than her own vivid imagination. There was no doubt that something darker lay within the sheath at Kinetav's side.

His next words only further confirmed it. He spoke of control. Of effects. Of memories. As though he were speaking not of a weapon, but of a person, a master over him. Her eyes slid to the folds of Krayth's clothing, where the weapon had disappeared. She wondered what the name of his weapon was. And she wondered, about her own weapon. She had a name for her weapon, self given. Caertais, she called it; Justice, in the language of her people. This power, the strange humanity behind weapons...was it a power of the anima...or of the Dark Avenger.

She dug through her memories. Had there been a time when she could sense a pr...

Krayth's words, his request, interrupted her thought.

She nodded. Dissatisfaction coursed through her when his words ended there. Patience. It was something she possessed in great amounts...but not something she necessary liked using. Efficiency. That was what she liked; for things to be quick, effective, and thorough. Patience only skewed the result of that equation.

But all the same she added it, and kept her lips silent. There were times when it was wiser to hold her tongue, and this was one of those times. She returned her attention back to Edge, her thoughts spinning. If the blade had a conscious, it had a soul. And if it had a soul...

Her eyes widened. Why had she not thought of it before?

The Dark Avenger reached within her for power. [(1/1) Soul Sense] She gathered the shadow within her, and reached for Edge. Hand's of shadow reached, felt. Her soul reached felt, for another..

Her inner shadow was about to touched the blade, and the press of not one but many souls overwhelmed her. Unbidden a cry of surprise left her lips, as sensation pulled her under, drowned her beneath color, and texture, and size and shape.

She tore her concious from the blade.her attention was stolen.

Her mind burst through the surface of souls, bringing her back to the realities around her. For a moment her face showed her shock, clear as sky around them, her eyes fixed on Kinetav's blade, before she schooled it into her expression of indifference and turned her eyes away.

No mistaking it. The blade had not one soul, but many. Dozens. Possibly hundreds of souls. She glanced at Kinetav. Why? Why did his weapon have,,,souls in it?

But before she could think further on the matter, her attention was drawn away.

Before them, the deep, consuming black of the void, the screams of tortured demons, and the commanding howl over them, that sounded like the voice of Satan himself ceased. A sudden cut of sound, like the melody of shadows had a full stop in its score.

And then, as thought the conductor had once again lifted his baton, it began again, the tortured screams and shouts, the jumbled melodies, softened into the discernible cries of men. Words flowed freely and tangled over one another into one big mass of sound, and then one word rang over that pulled apart the mass, into one solid sound.

"Vampire. Vampire." They cried.

The word rose in crescendo, to an anthem of victory. Krona shook her head. Idiots. Such revelry over the death of one unjust creature. Why not move on to the next? In the time they were taking to celebrate, she could kill two more.
The Black Blood remained where she sat, staring bleakly in the direction of the cries. Her gaze broke only when Krayth and Kinetav departed. Even then she sat for a few minutes, simply following their departing back's with their eyes, before she stood and followed, her cloak swishing around her, throwing up tiny clouds of dust and muffling the sound of her feet on the sand.
She arrived to hear, Krayth speak of honor and glory.

Satisfaction and disappointment mixed through her. It pleased her to see the vampire dead, but it irked her to see that his death had been so simple, so...uncreative. A severed arm, and a quick scream were not enough. Had it been her...oh the vampire would have been wishing for death. Begging for it even, on his hands and knee...assuming he had use of them. Again she recalled the last vampire she killed, the satisfaction she had felt killing him, the rush of pleasure. Joy. How amusing it had been to see such an arrogant creature reduced to the state of an animal, screaming out apologies for the things he'd done begging her for death, as he burned beneath the light shining on the wall he was tied to, as his insides were eaten by the holy water forced down his throat.

Now that...was a fitting death for a vampire.

A grin crossed her face; combined with the full, deep violet of her eyes, it gave her a bit of a crazed look, one that fell from her face as she gazed disdainfully upon the unsatisfactory death of Dominic. If only Kinetav had not killed him. But what was done, was done.

She watched with indifference as the Wilder's celebrated their victory, as they believed the lie of Krayth and Adellos and held the were-jackal in honor. Krona shook her head, resisting the urge to gag. If anything, Adellos should have been dead alongside Dominic.

And if need ever comes, I shall gladly volunteer.

Oh the thought of ripping that arrogant voice from that ugly throat. It made the corner of her mouth turn up slightly with amusement, as she watched Krayth declare that he wanted council with Adellos. She said nothing when he asked them if any others sought council; she had no reason to speak to him.

Kinetav's hallowed voice reached her ear, pulling her attention. She kept her head facing forward, and her expression indifferent as she watched him for the corner of her eye. The first thing she noticed was his eyes; their sharp steel-grey was shot through with red...the same red that came only with his anger, or annoyance, or when he was using edge. Her eyes narrowed. Was he upset about the credit for Dominics death being taken from him?

If so, his next words, of agreement with Krayth, did not indicate it.

Lord Krayth. She certainly hoped that was not something that she would have to call him in the future.

Lord over whom? Certainly not her.

She shook her head. How Kinetav could stand to answer to another being...she could not know. His body spoke of comfort; held the softness of someone at home. Again she shook her head. How could he consider this place, any place home.

How could he abandon the freedom of not being tied to place or person, to follow one man, and remain loyal to one place? How could he risk obligation or a person or place impeding him?

That was one thing, she did not understand.

Kinetav seemed to have a habit of confusing her.

She continued to listen and watch, as he asked for the return on his gauntlets from Liliana. Krona wondered. Did his gauntlet lets have a soul? So many questions. So many questions.

Those questions needed answers.

She glanced about. Attention was mostly drawn away from her. With tiny, unnoticeable movements, she pulled two items from inside her cloak. A small roll of paper, and a pencil, another the basic items she kept inside of her cloak. SHe did not look at the paper; she wrote with the feel of her hand, and tore away the scrawled on bit. Stuffing, roll and pencil back into one of her inner pockets, she walked casual to Kinetav and Liliana, as if she was simply coming to listen.

As she brushed past Kinetav, she discreetly slipped the paper into the left side of his belt.

Liliana nodded. "Talk quickly and rest well, Void Lord. We go to face what is to come in the morning." Turning to Kinetav and Krona, she smiled a little. "If you don't mind following me to where I will be resting for the night, I can give you back your gauntlets." Walking from them, she mentally added to Krona, Remember child. You are never unnoticed around me.

Krayth looked at those around him before turning back to Adellos. "Then I shall grant you counsel, Adellos of Sky Tribe. Vesyr, Yorda; watch the door." The Lord of the Desert strode back into Ulthran tower alongside Adellos, backed by continued chants of "San'Al! San'Al! San'Al!" The Were-Jackal entered the tower first, a single stalled step showing his hesitation at entering such a profane landmark. Krayth did not, and swung the door shut behind him. It's heavy frame made no sound great enough to overcome the zeal of the tribes.

Once the door closed and Vesyr and Yorda had taken up their posts, the masses began to mill and part from the cavern. Several hands took hold of the Vampire's corpse, and it was taken away. Mostly, the wilders left with speed. The events of the night and the loss of their Lady was enough to drive them to their beds. Coupled with Sephra's Execution and group fun, Only Uskarr appeared to be truly alert and ever ready. He returned to his dire hawk, who strutted tall over the other wilders, where it remained at the cavern's mouth. When he took its reings, the giant raptor nudged his open palm with the bridge of its beak. They left Ulthran, leaving only Telara lingering in the cavern. She watched the tower in silence, as if she could see through the walls. Her eyes betrayed that she could not, however, and they glanced from Kinetav, to Krona and back to the tower in silence.

The time for hiding might just be over
But that doesn’t mean I’ll go crawling back to the Light
When the Darkness was what saved me first

Man always tries to justify his existence
Man always tries to justify his actions and wills
But does good intention clear them of guilt?

”From the Shadow, we crawled out….”

*Kinetav's eyes stayed on the scene before him, red tendrils lingering in anger and the crowd's obvious chants for Adellos not helping. His form stayed comfortable yet now had some rigidity as the thoughts continued to plague Kinetav with every repeat of the chant. Kinetav's eyes narrowed slightly and barely surpressing a chuckle as the hero Adellos showed hesitation to enter the chamber of his Matron, a mere building compared to the destructive power Ba'Shev had shown just now... as well the non-Voidsworn should, having desecrated Voidsworn ground and now stealing for his own glory Dominic's sacrifice, the Voidsworn nearly spat out in his mind. He might be a monster, a Voidsworn, a child of darkness and already condemned to it, but credit was given to where it was due. All of this was seeming just too lucky, for everyone around Kinetav...for Krayth's Voidsworn Lordship and race as a fellow Anima especially, for Krona's being Voidsworn, for Liliana being able to read his mind, and for Adellos to have Krayth's loyalty and honor. The Anima cursed fate in his mind as it had once again bound his hands to some kind of outcome that kept the Anima in the shadows.

The Anima's mind reeled with thoughts as to why fate had brought him here, if it was just to stay in the dark and be hidden yet again from everyone. If his purpose was to die a nobody, why would Telara deem him a sign, fate and Ba'Shev giving him a second chance at life through Rykros, Krayth, Liliana, and Krona even if it was through a condemnation of his old world? The signs were just far too mixed, as Kinetav's eyes darted to all the wilders as the rushed out of the cavern to string up Kinetav's prize on a stake. There was only one wilder who remained, and Kinetav's mind began to rationalize who this new stranger was as his eyes narrowed to better his sight just enough to satisfy the curiousity plaguing him as he studied the very soul within the unarmored woman. Her strength was even higher than that of the Anima's, to Kinetav's utter shock as he marveled at the transparent aura of the woman in front of him, small edges and pieces of teal blue swirling around the wind element's user. Her garb was certainly unusual, too unusual for that of a mere citizen in the first place.

But...who could it be, the Anima continued to ask...Vesyr and Yodra guarded the door, Adellos and Krayth were inside... Gerdane was no-where to be seen. Who could it be such that she'd continue to look at him and Krona like that? Was she nervous...was it protection of Krayth that continued to make her worried about their presence? Before the Anima could finish his thoughts, a gasp from behind him diverted Edge's eyes and Kinetav's mind to the form of Krona. The shock was so apparent as the Black Blood stared at Edge, causing a small smile to curl at the end of Kinetav's. He chuckled at the thought that perhaps... just perhaps... she had finally begun to realize just who was truly on his belt after all, finally understanding the clues that the Anima had been giving...both willingly, and unwillingly, subtly, and blunt... Despite Krona's first using him as an informant, it was finally beginning to turn into an advantage to have the Black Blood around: for amusement, and hopefully...for future reaping of souls, seeing how she's quite obsessed with reaping the injust as it was.

Only one word came to Kinetav's mind as he watched Krona through Edge's eyes: smooth. Small, and deft were the movements that brought out a small piece of parchment; skilled was the movement and expression which she had made just for the explicit task of slipping him a note. Smooth, indeed...for most people to be tricked, to have whatever item was planted on their characters to be discovered later and at a more proper time. The Anima made no signs of knowing that the paper was slipped inside his pocket save for a mental chuckle, figuring it even more fun to play the fool until a time where Krona might know more information before springing the truth onto her all at once. With her inquisitive nature, it was but a matter of time as long as the Black Blood stayed around him.

Kinetav's real eyes were averted to Liliana as Edge's stayed sharply onto Krona, hearing the Seer's words and beginning to walk away. Kinetav's feet stayed planted to the ground, his head not even turning towards the departing seer as that Hollow voice spilled forth:*

"Not yet, Liliana, at least for me. If you all leave and I do not catch up to you... I will rest in the streets, or even here in the Tower Ul'thran if need be... As I have always done, staying within the shadows. For now, there are too many questions and too many possible outcomes for my mind to settle...for this "Omen" to rest in peace without it being disturbed."

*With that, Kinetav walked silently towards that aura of teal blue he had seen and saw now even more clearly as his black armored boots hit upon the stairs. In the darkness around them, the darkness in his armor, and in his skin, the wilder before him would see his white hair bow down slightly in a gesture of respect before standing tall, Kinetav's eyes meeting hers as Edge continued to look over her form for signs of hostility, weapons, and armor. She would hear that Hollow voice come forth from the Anima, and possibly even see the red of his right eye as he spoke informatively:*

"You are unique...You have no armor, nor weaponry. You do not join the other wilders in their revelry of pinning that Vampire's head upon the gates, nor do you flee this tower like I'm sure a few of them were happy to be given a reason to do so. I have to admit...your boldness is refreshing in the face of what you have just witnessed, considering what the Vampire did. May I have the honor of knowing your name, wilder?"

”….and to the Shadow, we will return.”

Verideathul

The woman was striking in her presence, and impossible to forget. Her hair was cut short all around save a long crescent that swept from bangs and right temple, stitched with white fathers and the slender bones of birds. Her lean and lithe limbs tucked neatly into the cuffs of an ensemble built for speed, and crafted of hide furs died blue, white and gray. The tailoring, despite being hand stitched, fit her like a glove. The trim and meticulous nature of her outfit put her scarless skin and smooth muscles on display and yet it meant nothing to her. She looked at no one with lusting eyes and stood as any warrior would, fearless and stoic. Her palest blue eyes watched Kinetav on every step of his approach. They no longer moved to the tower or Krona.

He approached and spoke. She watched him without smiles or pleasant expression. It was only after he finished that a slender smile spread along her lips. Her voice was light and breathy, but it held a hardness and wisdom that accented her tone in shades of severity. "I am Telara, the Sky Sister of Windscale. I am a grain among the dune's. I have come from the dust of many stones, and I am not unique. You have more right to the word than I do, Kinetav to Omen." The apparent human stepped closer to the Anima, and brought her mouth to his left ear. Her voice was the subtlest breeze amidst the Cavern's echoing chant, impossible for any of the others to hear. "Did you know that I was the one to meet this Vampire at our gates; that it was by my choice he entered Andalusa unharmed? He had a surprising amount of honor, Anima. He discarded his crimson clothes without question. He strode into our city unarmed and near naked. Why would such a weak, brave, stupid Vampire seek to cause harm, I wonder?" She drew away from him, so he could look into her eyes. It was clear that she did not wonder at all.

"Did you know that I was also beside Adellos in that abyss? I followed his hands to his hatchet on the floor. He did not have it when he met us in the tunnel. There was no blood, either. There was surprise, though, when my Lord praised Sky's Last Son. In fact, I'm confident that the Vampire did nothing more than live and die within our walls... which leaves me with one unanswered question. Was it you, or the Stranger who murdered him?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 23, 2012 12:49 pm

Liliana only went as far as the tunnel, willing to wait for Kinetav and Krona. Her mind picked up on Telara's thoughts as she made them words. As much as she knew she must step in to head off a problem at the pass, a feeling of apathetic loathing swelled within her. Why should she jump whenever trouble brewed? Let them figure out how to solve it for once. If they can't, then they just might be too weak to be bothered with. Her mental processes stopped for a moment, held in amazement at what had crossed her mental surface. Shaking her head, she tried to drown out her now spiraling thoughts with possible attack plans and strategies for the morning.

”From the Shadow, we crawled out….”

*Kinetav's grin only increased at her introduction, keeping her gaze attached to his, Edge scanning over her form as Telara made herself out to be a simple grain in the sands...and how the word unique felt more to the Anima than herself. There was no denying such wise words from the human, or the observation in her words as she marked him with the title of Omen once more. She moved to talk to him, the Anima even leaning towards her ear such that her breath hit his skin as she spoke, signifying that she was the one who let the Vampire into the gates in the first place. The Anima gave no sign of his mentality wavering under her gaze.

Her next words made Kinetav's heart skip a beat, realizing that she was next to Adellos and that Adellos had somehow made it out of his Matron's maelstrom without his hatchet. There was no doubt that Adellos showed surprise at Krayth's words, and that did not help the Omen's case at all. But none the less, this could get very interesting, and Kinetav prepared for the worst as he spoke back, launching an inquisition of his own in a now normal voice as the Hollow effect wore off and the red faded from his eyes:*

"Interesting theories...how did Adellos make it out of that abyss and lose his hatchet? Not to mention... You watched us enter yourself, Telara, walking behind Lord Krayth into the spot where the mysterious abyss once was. Neither of us are bloodied, nor wounded, although the hatchet in Dominic's hands speaks of struggle. So my answers to you will come in the form of two questions, since I do love this conversation with you already, and a good mystery to boot...do you doubt your Lord's testimony, and how could either of us perform such a deed that resulted in so much blood but none of the wounds or blood spattered onto us?"

”….and to the Shadow, we will return.”
