Naga 'Demi-Prince' - 'Nin' - Naga Clan Head - Taijutsu Master - Legend of Shuntensatsu

Zin aww'd a little as his Nai-chan departed. But it seemed she had something to do just like he did. In fact, they both needed to be stronger for the mission they were going to have to do. Usually, a Kage doesn't leave his throne or where he is 'throned'. But in this circumstance, if he doesn't do anything, then no one will.

Seeing one of the men get bold, he charged Zin as he tried to bring the blade down upon the child's head who looked up and brought his weighted arm up rather nonchalantly. The sound of the two metals clanged in the mini-dim dome with the Naga child thrusting his fist into his solar plexus with such strength his eyes had a moment of dullness, before Zin outside crescent kicked him in the face. Stopping him nearly completely conscious Zin gave him a ruthless deafening kick to turn his unconscious body over so Zin may use his belly as a trampoline. Except after a few seconds of childish enjoyment of turning him into a child's toy, he began to bounce and stomp harder. Doing so until bubbles of blood formed from his mouth. "Hmmm... Not fun at all." He said looking to the motionless man and poked his chin with his little foot, "Why you not move anymore?" Zin said before snapping his slitted eyes up when one man charged him out of anger, "You little spawn from He-" Was all he'd get out before Zin showed him just how much worse he was than a simple spawn.

The moment he spoke those words of hatred towards Zin was the moment the Naga child sprinted forwards to take him out. Moving at such speed with his 'Warriors Rush Trait', that the man barely was able to fully bring up his sword. Even more so, when Zin unlocked the technique and his gate at that moment. Firing chakra into his spinal cord and thrusting his fist so deep into his stomach that it showed through the other side of his body, as Zin took an extra step and used his body power to throw the man into the wall. Having that power launch him into the wall, crack the back of his head just to add more insult to injury in his death. Zin bounced on his little feet and giggled, "His head popped like a pumpkin on Halloween. I wonder..." He looked over to the other men as he pointed to the cracked and bleeding skull that spurted plasma every once in a while due to his beating but slowly ceasing heart, "...If your heads will squirt the same way. Care to find out?" Zin asked, as he held such a insane grin on his little face that even with weapons in their hands... they felt as if death was already pulling them towards it's sweet peaceful bliss.

Zin reached back as he was going to briefly work on his projectile training. Unfortunately, Zin only had his standard combat kunai. He could chuck them but he liked to keep them on hand for when he strikes with 'Amaterasu'. Looking to the men, Zin wondered how he would supply himself with more kunai. Then it hit him! He was a Doton elemental user! There were lower levels of the Doton affinity that would allow him to do just that! 'If I use my earth manipulation and create a Kunai.. I'll be able to have an endless supply of projectiles.' Zin though as one off the three men attacked in fear. Charging Zin as the child giggled and readied himself.

Easily dodging the erratic and more so, scared slash of his sword, Zin swerved over to place his hand upon the ground and focus his chakra into the earth itself. What came out as his hand lifted and grasped around, was a earthen shuriken that as more chakra circulated and formatted it, turned it into a brown, stone like projectile which became covered underneath his sleeves. Zin's slitted eyes only looked at the man briefly before he swiped his hand in an elaborate manner and looked over to the last two. He deems them last, as the man would rather only see Zin's hand swiping before the shuriken plunged into his neck and made him gurgle on the stone projectile lurked into it. "Hmmm... His head gushes too. Hehe... Now... Lets see how long you two will last." Zin said as he started walking towards the final two.

Enter from Dorms of the Leaf

Naiten entered hokage buildin, recently termed the Serpent's Hole judging from the murmurs of the civilians the girl walked past. With a step lightened by the hope of seeing Zin, the girl descended deeper and deeper until she reached the lowest tier. At the top of the stairs descending into this tier, Naiten looked hopefully towards the arena. A small smile broke out over her face as her eyes perceived Zin continuing his cruel training, the symphony of screams nicely complementing it. By now, a good portion of his body was covered in blood, but that didn't phase Naiten at all. In fact, she was happy to see the bloodstained Zin; he looked so happy with his training. What more could the girl wish to see?

After taking in this pleasant sight, Nai descended down to the actual floor of the lowest tier. Well, the floor that the audience was to stand on to be exact as this room had two floors by itself: one for the arena and another for the audience. She then moved to the rim overlooking the arena and stopped besides a pillar, forgoing the seats to get the best view of Zin. She sat there and watched with somewhat tired (she still had to recover the energy she had expended during her recent training session) delight, legs pulled up to her chin.

Once more, a few uneasy and surprised eyes turned towards the petite girl that had willingly walked into and actually seemed to enjoy the massacre taking place in the arena. Even the few among the few that recognized Naiten from not too long ago had a confused look in their eyes. Just as before, though, they didn't look for long and Naiten returned to being an bystander in the background.

Her goal of seeing Zin fulfilled, it didn't take Naiten long at all to fall fast asleep even with the terror-filled screams resounding throughout the room. Legs still curled up, the girl's head dropped to the side as her body weight rested on the pillar besides her. Her sleeping face looked utterly peaceful, sharply contrasting with what took place around the girl.

Zin giggled as the boy tilted his blood stained head and hissed venomously as he was about to attack. Stopping only when Nagi hissed to him and his slitted eyes looked up to his Nai-chan. He smiled and waved to her, acting as if the bodies of gore surround him and the blood upon him phased him not int he slightest. "Naiiiii-chaaaaaaan!!!' Zin pipped happily, wanting to glomp his assistant and nuzzle her like usual before an ANBU appeared beside him. His smile faded as he looked down to the kneeling ANBU,

"Zin-sama... Excuse my rudeness for entering your training area uninvited, but there is a report from the gates. A strange mist has appeared and those that entered have been heard to be cut down. Jin is holding the fort. What should we do, Hokage-sama?" Zin hissed in annoyance but his mind tinkered around the idea. 'Mist in Konoha? That is unusual as it is coming from in front of the gates. The largest water source near Konoha is within the gates and the temperature is not nearly at the right spot to produce a Mist that troublesome. So we're dealing with a Mizu user. Hmph... Being the only higher leveled shinobi in the village doesn't help. Even more so, just before a mission. I am glad, I stayed back to train before it.' zin thought as he clenched his fists. "Very well... Throw those two in back in prison."Zin said pointing to the sword wielding men that, before they protested, ANBU appeared behind them and chopped them in the neck to knock them unconscious. "I haven't finished training yet. Secure the villagers in their homes. Do it as subliminally as possible. I don't want them to know we are about to counter-attack." Zin then looked over to Naiten who was sleeping. It hurt him to awaken her but he would need to for this situation.

"Nai-chan..." Zin called out to her as he placed his hands together and weaved in blurs through a small set of seals and called out, "Tsuchu Bushin no Jutsu..." With that, an earthen clone rose from the dirt and took the replication of Zin. "Go with my clone to bring the army to the gates and if he runs, have them ravage the Fire Country for them. We will not let them escape." Zin said curtly before hissing to Nagin and Hitan. It was time to meet this bold opponent who dared to strike his village.

Zin's voice awoke Naiten immediately from her short but refreshing nap. Looking down at him inquisitively just in time to see Zin's hands blur into weaving several hand signs, the girl felt that she was missing a piece of the puzzle. She didn't feel threatened, no reason to, but she was confused. the girl wondered as she saw a clone pop into existence besides her and heard Zin's orders. Zin's curt and hurried behavior left the girl.... Not exactly worried as she doubted anyone could possibly stand up to Zin, but close to it. Perhaps the best way to describe it was annoyance at anyone who dared to bother Zin. Curious as she was, Naiten didn't need any answers or specifics to do as she was told. Without hesitation, the girl stood up and walked her way out of the building with the earth clone.

Naga 'Demi-Prince' - 'Nin' - Naga Clan Head - Taijutsu Master - Legend of Shuntensatsu

Truly this was going to be a magnificent dinner with his Naiten. Instead of utilizing the dome to train, Zin instead turned it into a place of his exquisite design for dinner. To cover the dirt soaked with dried blood from months of 'training' Zin laid a rather thick, pearly white tarp upon the dirt. Stretching over the more bloodied patches and covering up the history of gore the ground had witnessed. In the middle laid the captured man that attacked Zin's village, strapped to a gurney, with medical nin surrounding him with medical tools ready to make quick work of his body and break hi8s will a little; there still lay over his eyes, a chakra seal to keep him from utilizing any method to getting out easily. For now, he was just going to get the light treatment of Zin palpable wrath. This was more so punishment, than getting information. Zin had something far worse for him later.

The once dimly lit, dungeon of a room, was lit brilliantly with torches all throughout the underground dome. On the side and up in the bleachers overlooking the entertainment, was a single table with a satin tablecloth and a single candle that lay at the middle of the table. Two chairs, lay on either side of the table for the awaited two occupants, as the ANBU moved to the four points around the dome to stand guard.

Zin happily stood wearing clothes that he soon will wear on the regular when he ascends to the title of Daiymo. The Naga prince adorned in black and gold trim emperor clothes, still too big for his tiny body, but the serpent prince was too excited with the night's festivities. Dinner with Naiten and punishment to their intruder, then torture and more punishment to the intruder, then mutilation to the intruder, and finally, the stripping of his powers and dignity as a shinobi. Such a fantastic night!

Taking a seat at the table, Zin pointed to one ANBU to dim the lights slightly and play the music to set the mood for the abuse that was to come. Duo was struck in the face by one of the medical nin to arouse him from the unconscious slumber produced due to him being pummeled by his zombie horde. Zin sighed in relaxation, "This is nearly as good as milkshakes..." He said as swayed his feet to and fro from the chair he sat on. Looking at Nagi and Hitan snapping at their collection of breed rodents for their feeding pleasure.

Enter from Dorms of the Leaf

Naiten stepped into the hokage's building with her usual downcast gaze. Of course she was happy, but she wasn't so bursting with happiness that it would appear on her face. She stepped up to the receptionist, and then quietly introduced herself and asked where she could find Zin. She was given a prompt answer. With an polite bow to show her thanks but no words, Naiten hastened her pace to the lower levels.

Upon seeing the modified lowest level, Naiten couldn't help but pause and give the entire place a confused once-over. Er, well, mostly. Near the end of her scan of the room, Naiten's perceived Zin standing at a table to the side and up in the bleachers. Upon spotting his gleeful face, everything but a pleasant feeling simply washed away. Excited for the upcoming events, the battered body of the troublemaker lying in the middle of the stadium clued Naiten into what would happen, the girl finished her descent to the bleachers of this lowest level while admiring Zin's clothes. She recognized them as fit for a daimyo. As expected, they matched Zin magnificently. No, in fact, they paled in comparison to him. He deserved much more splendid attire.

Naiten walked eagerly to Zin, wooden sandals making light tapping sounds with each step she took. Her smooth hair rippled slightly with each step, the black sheet of hair cascading down her back. The ruby red kimono worn neatly over the petite body shimmered softly in the flickering torchlight. The simple, light red camellia pattern spread out across the cloth stood out even more in the light. Wooden sandals and white tabi socks covered Naiten's tiny feet. A gold-colored sash tied around Naiten's small waist completed the outfit, playfully gleaming in the torchlight. Overall, the bright outfit greatly accentuated the small smile Naiten had on her face, something she always had whenever seeing Zin.

Naga 'Demi-Prince' - 'Nin' - Naga Clan Head - Taijutsu Master - Legend of Shuntensatsu

One of the ANBU spoke to Zin, saying that his Naiten had arrived which made the Naga prince absolutely beam with excitement. Delighted that she arrived for this wondrous dinner occasion with the entertainment the would have for the night. In fact, she barely would make it to the table before he scampered over to her and glomped her. Not enough to tip her over, seeing as he hugged and nuzzled so tightly that the girl would barely be able to tip over in the slightest. "NAI-CHAN!!!! He pipped, escorting her proudly to her seat and pushing it up when she sat down, before taking his own seat. While they did this, the medical nin below would begin their tortures. Questions they would ask would match that of which Zin wanted to know. The main one was, "Who are you and who do you hail from?" Also, "Do you have any connection to the Takigakure scandal." As they asked the questions the first time, they'd pull out a unique little tool that looked like forceps. Instead though, they'd have a circle that upon applying pressure to the handle, would make the device close a blunt metal wall down. It is a perfect little item that is great for working with dead bodies that are stricken with rigamortis; and even before for torture.

Zin would look away briefly from his Naiten to see the medical shinobi waving the unique tool in the air. Zin nodded, allowing him to continue, in which Duo's the first bone to Duo'sn right index finger will be placed into the circle. The question will be asked, and should it turn out false, the tool would clamp down on the bone. And with enough pressure snap and slightly crush the top portion of his index finger before the next section of bone would be captured and the question would be asked. Zin thought of this torture himself. The finger has two joints. 18 joints per hand to be broken. Bringing quite a bit of pain after a while, especially considering he has so much more planned to entertain the vagabond with.

Giggling to the wondrous noise, Zin sighed and looked over to Naiten swaying his feet lightly, "You look wonderful Naiten-chan! What would you like for tonight?" Zin asked as his slitted eyes gleamed with malicious excitement. Having a down right stupendous time!

As Matsuya approached the office, he noticed something that shook him to the core. The office in which he had served his term as Hokage was now gone, replaced with a hole in the ground that Matsuya could only assume was Zin's doing. Snakes through and through. The thought only raised his suspicions about what the boy had been doing in Matsuya's absence. Matsuya made his way carefully down the steps of the pit. As he reached the first tier of rooms, he noticed workers and ANBU agents. He looked to one ANBU and spoke, keeping the same strange accent he had spoken in at the gates. "I was told I would be able to meet the Hokage. Would you be kind enough to tell him I am here and would like to speak to him?" Matsuya stood, waiting for the man's response. He continued to glance around at the people and rooms around him. He couldn't help but notice the snakes slithering through the entire place. If they belonged to Zin, he had no doubts the boy would have known he was here from the moment he stepped foot inside.

Naiten eagerly nuzzled Zin in response. She felt herself lose her balance, but in Zin's arms she didn't fear such a thing. She trusted him to the fullest. Without resistance, she allowed herself to be led by Zin, their small hands clasped tightly together. When he offered her a chair to sit in, Naiten bowed politely before primly taking a seat as Zin wished for her to.

Through all this, Naiten's eyes never left Zin. Even when she was seated, they only left him to look at Duo when Zin also looked at the prisoner. his was all just too perfect. Not only could she hear the prisoner's delightful screams mixed in with Zin's even more delightful giggles. Even better, there was sure to be more to look forward to. She had seen the implement and had seen where it was going to be used. She knew how many joints each finger had and could multiply. A total of 36 joints would be broken slowly and sweetly. Perhaps even more if the toes were included. The terribly enjoyable screams would continue for a while. They harmonized so well with the music. Anything harmonized well with such agonized screams. All this was pure bliss for the girl.

Then Zin complimented her out of the blue. Caught out of her joyful reverie by surprise, the girl suddenly blushed, her pale skin turning a shade of bright red. Not sure what to do next, Naiten declined her head slightly to think for a bit, the movement causing some of the hair tucked behind her ears to fall from their perch and cascade over her shoulder like a pitch-black river. She raised her head not long after lowering it and replied in her quiet voice, clear as a bell despite being only louder than a murmur, "Th-thank you. I like whatever Zin-sama likes." Naiten's face was still almost as red as the camellia pattern on her kimono. She wanted so badly to return the favor to Zin and compliment him. She wasn't worthy of receiving his words without doing the same for him. However, she could not find the voice to do it with. Although, perhaps the voice was unneeded. Ever since she saw Zin in his splendid attire, and even now while she was so flustered, Naiten only had eyes for her savior: eyes full of admiration, loyalty, trust, and even love (well, what love a child like her could feel). Zin, after all, was Naiten's reason for existence. The only person she cared for. In those eyes, the awe, excitement, and delight Naiten felt upon seeing Zin in such regal gear were clearly obvious.

Naga 'Demi-Prince' - 'Nin' - Naga Clan Head - Taijutsu Master - Legend of Shuntensatsu

Zin giggled to Naiten as she thanked him for the compliment. "Well I like Nai-chan! Which would mean Nai-chan likes Nai-chan! Right?" He said playfully continuing to sway his feet within the chair as this was quite a great night. Victory at the gates and dinner with Naiten. He didn't know what it was about the girl but Zin was attached to her. She didn't attempt to understand his wrath. Didn't attempt to understand his hatred or rather better yet, understand his personality at all. She simply accepted him. Accepted his actions and accepted him as a whole. Zin has had friends. The street urchins he used to hang around when he was still in the Academy. They were too poor to really discriminate and liked the boy for who he was. Maybe it was ignorance to the knowledge of who he spawned from but the fact they treated him normal was enough for him. Then there was Hiniko. A girl who was more of a friend and took the roll of a sister figure. Being by his side even when his true nature was exploited in the Land of Rice. He loved the girl dearly and simply could not wait until he figures a method to cancel out her sickness. But the affection for Naiten was a little greater. It was sisterly or friendly. It was love but not the mature kind. Zin honestly couldn't put a finger on what gauge of affection it was in that section of the mental affection for the girl but she reminded him of his teddy bear. He'd never wish for her to be gone. There is sadness when she is hurt. Their is happiness when she smiles. There are butterflies when he hugs her, and there is bliss when he nuzzles her. He was indeed glad, to have found such a person to become his assistant. A friend beyond friends. He knew not the word for it, but honestly the word didn't matter. The actions he does, were what mattered.

Words of a newcomer spread like wildfire. Speeding throughout out the intercoms of the officers throughout Konohagakure. For anyone else to enter Konoha when it is in lock down must mean they were someone of great importance. Zin noticed from his peripherals, as he'd attempt not to stray his eyes from his Natien twice in one evening, the ANBU moving almost in unison to clasp over their right ears and nod. Then there was the notable hesitation. They were wondering who was to tell Zin that someone was admitted in? Jin told them, that Zin would be rather delighted at the news but with this unpredictable child of sin, who knew if they would be able to walk back to their station unscathed after delivering the news. Finding the best opportunity, they approached the table when the waiter delivered the two children quite exquisite drinks. Light milkshakes in wine glasses! A perfect combination of class, in Zin eyes. The rich frozen milk and ice cream placed into a crystal wine glass that reflected elegantly against the torch light of the dungeon. Reflecting onto both little faces dinning at the table. Zin's, which was eternal darkness bound in the form of a child. Naiten, innocent... and pure. Yet corrupted by the malicious ways of the person that she so loyally follows. 'Tis truly, was a thing of beauty to Zin.

One ANBU operative approached Zin as he eyed the child's sword that laid against his side of the table. He knew that the speed the child could retrieve it would be as fast as a rattlesnakes bite. He had tread carefully, specifically when Zin's eyes thinned to the interruption. "Zin-sama... We have gott-" He was about to say before Zin's giggle interrupted him. The Naga prince reached over to take a small sip of his refined milkshake before those thinned eyes looked up to the ANBU. Staring the man to his very soul, as if he wanted to unleash the energy it was bound within, before the evil incarnate smiled. The fake smile that has put many of the operative's past brethren six feet under, "Save me the details... Who is within my village, when I requested it to be locked down? I expected you all to take glory in your battle and savor the fruits that I have given you. Maybe my kindness is for naught?" Zin questioned as the man shook his head and stood tall. Forcing away the fear and skipping the beginning details, "There is a man, who claims to bring word of your 'brother'. Or someone you deemed to be a brother. Should we let him in or... dispatch him Zin-sama?" Zin's lust for murder took a small plunge to the words. 'Maysuya onii-s...' The word couldn't be completed. The very thought of the man abandoning him skyrocketed his wish to put the messenger down below, to join the foolish man that attacked his village. But he wouldn't get too violent. He was with Naiten. He wishes not to ruin this night with the splatter of his blood upon the table.

"I see... Inform the medical shinobi they may have another gue-..." Zin was about to say as he saw Nagi and Hitan instantly raising their massive craniums to the air to look at the doorway that led into the dome. Their black and white tongues flicking out repeatedly before they slithered over to their master to report. Outside of his ANBU he had more scouts to inform him as to what is happening within his 'home'. He didn't trust mankind, but his serpents, knew who their master was. They are as faithful as his Naiten. Never wavering loyalty under any circumstance. It was one of the reasons he was able to kill so many unfaithful officers with the many eyes he has dispatched about the entire area; and once more their many eyes came through. They knew not who the man was but Nagi at the very least did. When he was informed of the situation of the newcomer by the serpents that lay outside of the dome, he did what he was taught to do many years ago. Capture scents; and this one was all to familiar to him. Matsuya. One who truly destroyed the faith Zin had towards Konoha citizens, and made the last push for him to go into darkness. A decision, that put those that punished him in the dirt and forced them to bow to that which they scorned.

After the information from Nagi was given, Zin looked to Naiten and smiled, "Nai-chan.. I'm going to turn off the lights from for a moment , OK? I promise, we will continue our dinner, as soon as the issue of our new guest is resolved. I wish not to take this time for granted." He pipped, before looking to the ANBU. "Put a clasp on the torches on our side of the dome. Make sure their is no light. I want him to be at the center of the table, five feet away from the table. Ensure he has no weapons and he will be granted audience. Also, stay five feet behind him in an oblique angle. Be ready to put him in a gurney when I signal you." Zin commanded as he reached over the table to turn off the candle that was upon it and once the ANBU did as requested, it submerged their side of the dome in darkness. "Bring him in." Zin hissed, having Nagi and Hitan facing the spot that the 'messenger' would stand before. Coiling up in within the darkness to hide within the cloak of the shadows. Though just like their master, their slitted eyes looked like the burning embers that fell from the suppressed torches within the darkness. As he waited, Zin would look to Naiten, slitted eyes softening as he spoke, "After this, what would you like to eat, my Nai-chan?"

From outside, the messenger would be checked and patted down for weaponry of any sort. Even a pencil would be taken away if it was found and placed into a box, "When you are finished. You shall retrieve your items again. Do not make sudden movements, you will be killed on-sight. Follow me." The doors to the dome opened and the messenger would be led to the darker half where Zin and Naiten dined. Five feet away from the table as requested before the ANBU too their positions behind the man. Zin's coals would turn to face him. Deadly silent as he almost had nothing to say. He did... but the pain mixed with hatred made him rather keep tight lipped. Wanting to at least, hear him out before making him suffer for what Zin feels, was betrayal.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 11, 2012 4:21 pm

Matsuya did not fight when the ANBU requested he turn over his weapons. He slowly, one by one, gave them his weapons. Being stripped of Kage Kira was something that made him feel almost naked. That sword had been on his waist for upwards of five years. It had never let him down or broken. But now, it was gone and at Zin's mercy until it was returned. Matsuya kept his hands at his side as he was led down into the bowls of the pit and placed in the middle of a room. Though, as his eyes adjusted slightly, he could see the outline of what appeared to be two children. Matsuya could only assume that the lack of light was some sort of tactic on Zin's part. Though, it would serve Matsuya just as well if this spiraled out of control. Shadows were Matsuya's domain. And allowing himself to be be bathed in the had put Zin at a considerable disadvantage. But, Matsuya had no intentions of hurting the boy.

Matsuya cleared his throat. He dropped the accent as he spoke. The fact that there were snakes lurking in every corner meant that Zin most likely already knew who he was. "Hello, Zin. I've come back to see if the rumors running about are true and if my star student has really become Hokage. But, I'm sure you have some of your own questions. So, Zin, ask away. I will answer anything you wish me to. In exchange, I'd like to leave with my life tonight, if you can find it in your heart." Matsuya stood, resolute, looking at the two children. It was somewhat disturbing, being the one who would need to answer questions in this office. Or, what was his office. But, if Zin wanted answers, Matsuya would give them. He wanted to make up for the feeling of abandonment the boy must have felt. But, he did want to live. Dying wasn't quite in his plans yet.

The blush simply deepened, and right when it was beginning to lighten as well, at Zin's eager reply. She was glad to see him so happy, glad to know that he liked her. There wasn't anything more the girl could wish for. Other than, of course, for Zin to succeed in everything he wishes for. Flustered, Naiten tried to think of a reply as she lowered her gaze once more so that she was looking at Zin's clothes more so than his face. She didn't want to look away from Zin at all, but she was too embarrassed and confused at the compliment as to what to say. Saying that she liked herself sounded so... conceited.

Finally mustering the courage to look back up, Naiten was about to reply with something about how she liked herself too but liked Zin better. However, when her eyes moved back up to his face, she noticed that Zin looked as if he had noticed something off. Before Naiten could think through the situation much farther than this, a pair of elaborately glassed milkshakes that gleamed in the light appeared on the table from the hands of a waiter. There was no time after the milkshakes had been set down either, as immediately after, an ANBU operative stepped forward. However, as Zin didn't bother to look at the masked figure, neither did Naiten. She enjoyed the sound of Zin's giggle before reaching for her own glass after Zin, appreciating the elegance of the milkshake and pleased to see something she knew Zin loved at the dinner. Carefully, so as to not ruin the heavenly drink, Naiten held the wine glass by the stem savored her first small sip of the milkshake.

After that initial sip, Naiten silently placed the wine glass on the table and wiped her mouth as she had been taught. She couldn't help but giggle as she continued to watch Zin even after his focus had turned to the ANBU. That look and smile, so full of the evil that she knew Zin was the very incarnate of, Naiten thoroughly enjoyed it. She wished to see more of it, simply because it was what Zin was.

The giggle ended abruptly, though. The change was small, but Naiten wouldn't miss a thing that troubled Zin. She didn't understand what had happened, even though she understood all that had been said. Truth be told, Naiten didn't know much about Zin's past. Would she have wanted to know about it? Definitely. However, she didn't need to know about it, knowing about it wouldn't help Zin in any way she could imagine, so she had never bothered to ask. She did, however, understand that this older brother had caused discomfort to Zin and because of that Naiten already wished to see him suffer painfully. After all, that was what Zin preferred to do to those that went against him from what Naiten had observed.

Despite these dark thoughts, only innocent worry was seen on Naiten's face. Indeed, the only thing she was feeling was worry. Worry that had been twisted by Zin's influence. The girl silently nodded in agreement and seemed to almost shrink in anticipation of the new guest. As always, she preferred to be the wallflower in groups unless she was required for Zin's sake to take some sort of lead.

From within the darkness that blinded her, Naiten heard Zin pose a question to her. She could not see his eyes softening, but that didn't matter to her. Not wishing to bother Zin with an ambiguous answer as she did the last time he had asked a similar question, Naiten politely replied with her favorite, "Gummy bears. Unless, of course, those are for desert."

Silence then fell between the two children as they waited for the newest guest to arrive. When he finally did arrive, the small girl did nothing. Trusting the matter to Zin and not wishing to make him feel uncomfortable by unwittingly treading on something personal, Naiten remained facing forwards and silent.

Naga 'Demi-Prince' - 'Nin' - Naga Clan Head - Taijutsu Master - Legend of Shuntensatsu

It would indeed seem like Zin dug his grave with his actions. Placing him into a spot where he actually gave Matsuya power to defend should the volatile child attack. But here is the kicker. Matsuya was in darkness. Not shadows. There was no light for shadows to be birthed from, so truly, he was in complete darkness. The only thing 'glowing' would be Zin's and his serpent's eyes, but nothing too much to even birth a single shadow at this judgement table. It was more so for the fear effect. Not that Matsuya ever feared him, but the child was too pissed to speak care. To pissed to even pay attention to the torturing screams as knuckle joint after knuckle joint was broken by the prisoner.

Matsuya, being one who Zin was close to, would feel the murderous aura that Zin's sensei had once felt. Only now, it has matured and has started to reach the hideous rating that his father had. Where the crushing tension will feel like some ominous force pressing a heavy weight down on the body. Creeping onto the soul to envelop it in the darkness that poured from the child sitting before him. But there would also, be something that only Matsuya could 'see'. Hurt. When Matsuya left, he hurt Zin. Badly. There was no explanation for his departure. Not even a letter! He just left him to the wolves. Who now laughably, bow down to kiss his feet so that he may not slaughter their families. He did the very thing that Zin thought he'd never do. So truly, the grudge Zin held, was of betrayal.

There was only one question Zin had, and as much as the child would rather want to yell them all out. To release those bottled emotions out to him, which would irritably lead to the humanistic act of crying. Zin instead would state a simple word. Matsuya, he knows, is smart enough to know what Zin would mean by the word. At least, hopefully for his sake. "Why?" He hissed out. A simple question, that should lead to all the answers he wants. Why did he leave him behind? Why did he come back, and why now? Those and many more but the first question, to be abandoned, really was the question he wanted answered the most.

Matsuya's eyes softened a bit as he looked into Zin's. He could see the hurt there, lingering just out of sight in them. He knew that feeling all too well. And then Zin asked him the one word question of the century: "Why?" Matsuya sighed and looked at the ground before him for a moment. Then, he looked back into Zin's glowing eyes and spoke. "Zin, you have to understand, I didn't mean to leave you behind with no guidance. I'd anticipated to leave you something to, perhaps, make sure you were taken care of. Maybe even something to remind you of me, as selfish as that sounds. But, as to why I left, let me tell you the whole story.

We have to begin with the night I left for Konohagakure, back when I was thirteen. I left with then intention of not being found until I returned. But I was found. My friends found me. And one among them, a girl named Asami. Quite simply Zin, I loved this girl. I still do. This,"
Matsuya pointed to the bead that was braided into his hair. "was hers. She gave it to me that night. And, you know what happened in between. I became Hokage and was made head of the Nara Clan. And, I had the honor to watch you grow up. I can't lie, sometimes you were quite the worry. With your family tree and the fierce desire to know who you really were, I was kept up many nights pondering what to do. So, in the end, I gave you what I thought was the acceptable part of your father's journal. The rest, I kept under lock and key, and more than a few security seals. And, I took you under my wing when you came of age. I taught you what I thought would lead you to be a great shinobi one day. And, maybe this was selfish of me, I tried to steer you away from going down your father's path. And then, I left. I have to say again, I'm sorry for that. I truly am. But, you want to know why, yes?" Matsuya took a pause and looked at Zin. Maybe, just maybe, there was still a chance to make the boy the same happy child he used to be.

"It was, as I'm sure you remember, during the Chunnin Exams. I was, at the time, er....involved, let us say, with the then Kazekage. She brought back memories of Asami, and that was painful for me. So, to my regret, I left. I vanished in the middle of the Chunnin Exams, a time when you no doubt came looking for me for guidance. I went, first, to Kirigakure, disguised as a simple apple trader from Konoha. I looked for three days before I found her, Asami that is. She was gone, dead. Had been for a few years. The word was that a warlord from some island country outside of the Shinobi Nations had done it while she was on a mission. So, I was furious. I was fueled with both love and anger. I sped off, gathering as much information on the man as possible. I only had one goal in this conquest: to kill the man. I wanted him to suffer for taking Asami from me. And, two years later, I succeeded. I killed him. It took me two years to gather enough information to plan the greatest assassination I've ever been involved in. But, in the end, I was left empty. I had killed the man who'd taken the love of my life from me. But she wasn't back at my side. She was still dead. Nothing could change that. So with a heavy heart, which I've been suppressing for a while now, I returned. Forgive me for leaving bits out at this point, but I'm not ready for the Shinobi Nations to know I'm alive just yet. I returned, made a home, and established a living for myself. And through that living I, rather indirectly actually, heard that the current Hokage was a young boy who had a fondness for snakes. So, here I am. I returned to see if the rumors were true and if you had taken the seat I once sat in. Though, I see that physical seat most likely no longer exists." He motioned around the room, indicating the crater they were now in.

"Zin, I'm sorry for abandoning you. Do not think for a moment that there has been a day since that I didn't think about coming back. I wanted to, but I didn't know how you would react. If there's a way that I could make it up to you, I'll do it. I wouldn't deny a request from the boy who I think of as a little brother." Matsuya continued to look into the boy's eyes. He'd explained his side of things. This was the first time he'd let people hear the full story of things. And, admittedly, it felt satisfying. But, Matsuya still awaited the boy's reaction.
