Rep glanced up lazily as Aria piped up. He still had no real idea who she was and looked wholly unimpressed by yet /another/ woman playing at leader. They just wouldn't give it up would they? He mentally discounted himself from the people who wouldn't survive the training, those were the thoughts of a quitter and he intended to survive, there was no question of it. Working with other people though? That tended to be on a as-needed-to-save-my-hide basis.

Rep though, felt he had to be a smartass, he couldn't help it. He had a question.

"Who are you?" he smirked.

"They're new," Jordan said. "They haven't yet learned when not to take you seriously." He smirked. Then he quieted as Aria spoke, glancing over the classroom and making mental notes as to who spoke up and who didn't.

Sydney was listening intently, knowing, even though she had yet to meet Aria, that this was a woman who was above her in the Mist division. Her expression went cold at Rep's question, since it seemed quite rudely put. She vaguely remembered him from texting, or at least she thought she did.

He was the one that had irritated all the females, wasn't he? She turned away from him, dismissing him. They weren't in the same division and she wasn't the type to draw attention from people like that. All of which worked well in her opinion.

Izy asked her.

I prefer to ask after she's given us all the information she has.

Cass giggled a bit at Rep's question, clearly amused by his attempt to be a smartass as she looked to Jordan and his explanation. "I think it's adorable, really." she chimed. For those who knew Cass, there were very few things she'd describe as adorable, and the most pronounced of which was a very..... desu...unicorn cartoon that she loved so.

Rep was now being categorized in his snarky rebellion with an adorable baby unicorn in Cass's mind. Manliness fail.

Gale, standing at the front of the classroom behind Aria, gave a small sigh at the redhead who was looking at Aria with a self-righteous smirk that clearly said he had no intention of playing nicely.

"Guess there's a smartass in every group," Gale murmured to Maddie, with a roll of his eyes as he folded his arms across his chest. He leaned back against the wall of the room, one leg bent with his foot up.

Her eyes flickered over to Rep. "Aria, Mist division lead." If she remembered correctly, he was not a member of her division. And as such, he was dismissed from her mind as she turned her attention to the rest of the trainees, waiting.

[Proxy post for Huni~]

Before shrank into his furry armor when Robert leveled that look at him. Was there really such a policy that he didn't know about? As ridiculous and dangerous as that sounded, it wasn't entirely out of the question that Before was out of the loop. Plus, he never got the opportunity to interact with Robert prior to this, "U-uh. S-sorry..." he mumbled. But then Jordan came up and pretty much confirmed Before's own sentiments so he felt the tiniest bit vindicated. 83

The moment Aria spoke, though, Before was all ears and fixed his attention on the Mist Lead. He shook his head, he had no questions and knew that whatever they were going to go up against, it wasn't going to be pleasant or pretty. Par for the course, actually. He thought things were going to start soon but then Noah (aka Rep) had to ask who Aria was. He sighed and settled back down.

Rin actually leaned in curious to hear what Aria said in Reply to Reps question... only.. well. She was saddened by the vagueness of the answer. Was that it? Would she also become as simple as a first name, division and position with time? The thought made her shudder and frown... but still her mind set to work on a question of her own.

Setting her booklet aside she harped up while lifting her hand level with her head, "Will any of us be dying?"

Mentally willing it to be Rep and not her if casualties were expected.

That's not very nice.

What? You WANT to die then?

Well... no...

Good, now shut up, leader lady is talking.

Rep practically radiated smugness as he got a reply to his question, every response was a small victory when you measured success in getting on people's nerves. He /knew/ there were a few people giving him irritated or at the very least dismissive looks, he could spot one or two as he looked around the room. He didn't care, dislike was the fuel that he ran on.

They wouldn't, he assured Tracey, how could they deprive humanity of such delightful genetics as his.

So this Aria was a division lead? That had to be a lot of fun. Women were always emotional and weak, perhaps mist specialised in making coffee? His encounter with Before seemed to hold that up. Kitchen division. He entertained himself with the thought. Tracey needed to stop ******** with his fun. Really.

He glanced over at Robert with a smirk. At least someone appreciated a bit of insubordination... maybe. Unless he was laughing /at/ him.

Tracey was reminded he could go climb a wall of dicks.

"If you are careless, then there is a possibility that you can die." Aria answered simply, as if the answer wasn't obvious. She did not offer anything further, from details to reassurances. Truthfully, she loathed large groups. While on one hand she was pleased that there were not as many trainees as she had first expected, she was also not pleased over the amount that did show up.

Aria ignored Robert's outburst and Rep's resulting smugness. So he was ignorant to who she was; what of it? With any luck on her end, the only trainees she would have to deal with in the future were those in her division.

Still, there was a question on her mind that lingered: would they continue to ask such stupid questions?

"Good. Then... uh.. " She raised her hand again. Eyeing Aria keenly as she did.

"When are we going?" Both brows raised. Yes, maybe that sounded impatient of her but she was anxious and biting at the bit at this point. She was even reading the same line in her booklet about five or so times before harping up with her first question.

She did however disregard Rep being his usual self for now. She refused to be placed as the groups live bait alongside him. Especially so soon before a mission.

Feng sunk in his seat under the gaze of his division leader, but Shang rumbled in his mind and he was reminded that he needed to do good, make a good impression. With a little difficult he sat back up and straightened himself out to listen to Aria.

Questions. Did he have questions? Well, he wanted to know where they were going. And what they'd be doing. And what was expected of him.

< Slow down. She'll explain all of that in a moment. Just be patient. Your first mission won't be that bad. >

Okay. He could handle that. He drummed his fingers lightly on the table and waited.

"Don't be so eager to leave yet, sweetheart. You don't even know where we're going or what we're doing." Cass answered Rin gently. Asking when they were leaving was sort of a moot point when this group hadn't even been debriefed on what they were going to be doing. Even Rep's smugness would hopefully die down as things progressed.

"I'm not your ******** sweetheart, sugarplum." Rin snapped back at Cass. She didn't honestly care who she was or that she did exactly what she was hoping not to do. Causing a scene. She really didn't want to join in Reps s**t, but clearly here it was, spilling out of her mouth before she could stop it.

"I wasn't talking to you either, for that matter. My eyes were very clearly on the woman up there." She gestured again at Aria. When it rains, it pours apparently. She just couldn't seem to stop herself once she got going.

"She's very capable I'm sure." Her gaze narrowed back on Cass with a sneer.

"Unless you're implying she can't... which doesn't bode well..." Her sneer turning into a look of quiet mistrust. That's right... shift blame, that might smooth this mess over. Or make it worse. Whichever.

< We're so going to die. >

Shut up Byr, seriously. No one asked you either.
