It's never too late ^_^

Hey guys!
Thanks everyone for applying, I know this event is going to be great!

I am still holding out hope for an event forum of some kind in May from Gaia, so that is why I would like to be ready asap (which I believe we are!) and ready to be active in anticipation of an unannounced event from Gaia.

Barring and event forum, however, the official date for this event is May 18-21. It will be in the Barton town RP forum.


And finally, to explain why you are choosing thieves guild or court:

Similar to the Halloween event and the April event, there will be two opposing sides. The Thieves Guild members aren't known by the court, however, so there is opportunity for pranks and mischief all around... except that during the daylight hours the Prince of Thieves is declaring that the common folk (who would otherwise be victims in potential crossfire) are to be protected, so the Thieves Guild is to be on their best behaviour during the day.

At night, though, every Guild member is free to make as much trouble as they like! The guards from the court may still be active, even the Knights, but it will be very difficult for them to catch any thieves under the cover of darkness.

So, in a nutshell:
Day time hosting is for the court. They are the main hosts during the day, and any thieves who are online will be posing as guests.

Night time hosting is for the Thieves. They are the main hosts during the night and any online members of the court will need to adapt to the topsy-turvy, chaotic night life of the Guild.

We can post at ANY TIME. You aren't restricted to the night or day if that interferes with your personal schedule, but be aware of what time you are posting so that you can act accordingly with your character. IE: if the Queen is out at night, it's unlikely that she will be a confident and comfortable commanding a bunch of thieves who are more likely to steal her crown than bow in respect~ just as the Prince of Thieves would get himself arrested by the guard if he were to announce himself in the middle of the day and gaily walk down the street, whereas at night he won't have to be hiding his identity.


I will post a big graphic that distinguishes between night and day so that we know what "time" of day it is. We all have different time zones so we can't go by what night and day is for us RL, so we will roughly follow the PST and, in case I can't get online to post the graphic, we will say that "night time" begins at 7pm PST and day begins at 9AM PST.

Yeah you can borrow it for the May event.

And unless my co-host needs the Compass for the ball, then you're welcome to borrow it for then too. However, I'm not comfortable lending it for months at a time. So you can borrow it for the event, return it, and then when the Ball rolls around you can borrow it then.
