Iris giggled continuously at the fox kit, trotting around the house with the string trailing behind her. "Can't catch it! Can't catch it!" she laughed, only to trip over her own two feet and land on the floor in the living room. Her hair sprawled out all over her back with the string and feather mixed in it. "Ow...."

The front door then opened, Atticus returning home from work. After shutting the door behind him, he noticed Iris on the floor. Setting his briefcase down, he walked over to her and picked her up, cradling her in his arms. "Did my little Knight fall off her horse again?" Atticus teased lightly, kissing the top of her head.

Iris looked up at her "father" and smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug. "Maybe~"

Atticus only chuckled softly and got the string untangled from her hair. With that settled, Iris was set back down while he headed into the kitchen. Iris would soon join him, after she picked up the fox kit again.

Maria perked up when she heard the thud in the other room. When she heard Atticus come home and take care of it, only a smile appeared on her lips. She got dinner on the table before turning to him, the King and Queen exchanging a kiss. "Dinner's ready."

Derik entered the house a few minutes after Atticus did, but he wasn't staying for dinner. He just went into the kitchen, waved to the others, grabbed an apple, and left again. Then he headed outside like he usually does, letting out a loud whistle. A dark wolf came charging from nowhere, slowing as it approached Derik. The two of them sat down in the middle of the backyard, staring up at the darkening sky. The only sound was the slight breeze that blew by and the sound of Derik eating the apple.

Iris smiled down at the fox kit and scratched it's ears as she walked over to Zero's side. She held up the fox kit to hand it back to him, knowing how much the fox kit stayed in his hair.

Kitty, Maria's cat who was still curled up on the window sill, merely opened one eye and looked over the small group: King, Queen, Bishop, and two Knights. Since Derik was outside, that counted Rooke. Still missing Pawn though, along with a few others, but they'll show up eventually. Kitty let out a yawn before going back to sleep.

Maria and Atticus looked over their small group, knowing that Derik wasn't going to join them for dinner and Rebecca was still at the cafe. "Alright then. The table is set and dinner is ready. Let's eat. Derik and Rebecca can eat later if they want," Maria instructed, sitting down at the table next to Joon while Atticus sat down next to her.

Angelina was still in the park by the time it was getting dark. With a small sigh, she put her notebook away and left the park. She headed straight home, and no surprise her parents weren't back from work yet. They always work late, so she got used to it a while ago. Once inside, Angelina turned on the lights and sure enough a small gray fluff came trotting over to her. "Hey Ashes~" she said with a smile, picking up the charcoal cat. Ashes, the cat, purred contently.

Rebecca nodded before writing strawberry cake down in her note pad. "Is that all?" She asked looking up with a bright smile on her pale face. Working at the cafe was the best thing ever. It always put a smile on her face.

As Chasity washed down the tables, she glanced up at the clock before looking over at Rebecca. "Becca, you're on in 10." She said before collecting the glasses before placing them in the sink.

While sitting alone outside, not counting his furry companion, Derik sighed softly as he gazed up at the sky. The wolf turned to him, tilting it's head with a sort of confused look, only to give a grin (as much as it could). Even though Derik wasn't a telepath like some others in his "family", he could always understand his pet. The male narrowed his eyes at the beast, but the wolf merely continued to grin. "Shut up alright?.." The wolf only shrugged and sat quietly before suddenly tackling Derik, pinning him to the ground. Derik wasn't afraid of his pet, but was awfully confused when it was starting to search him until the beast pulled out his phone with it's teeth. "H-hey! Give that back! Sh-she's still at the cafe!" The wolf just grinned wider and pushed down on the phone with it's paws, and managed to call Chasity's number (ok, so it wasn't so hard when he put her on Speed Dial #2). Only then did the wolf back off, and Derik scrambled into a sitting position, holding the phone shakily to his ear. Why didn't he just hang up? Or even more so, he was a technopath, able to control technology, so why didn't he do something to stop the wolf from activating his phone? Eh... Well, Derik's been meaning to call her at some point, just not so soon.

Maria and Atticus took their food first, then pushed the skillet slightly towards Joon. Maria turned her attention to Iris and Zero, who were still standing off to the side. "Are you two going to join us for dinner or just want to take a plate upstairs to your room?" Ok first of all, she knew that Zero didn't exactly like most of the family, maybe not a single one of them except Iris, so it wasn't uncommon for them to just eat together in their room. Second, Zero's and Iris' rooms were technically separate at one point, but they took down the separating wall and made their two rooms into one giant one.

Derik waited quietly as the phone rang in his ear, his hand still shaking. Maybe she won't answer. Maybe she won't answer. Maybe- Then she heard Chasity's voice on the other line, hearing her laugh. He had to take a brief moment to regain his composure. "O-oh right... Sorry Chasity... My dog kinda stepped on my phone and it clicked speed dial..." Wow did that come out strange. Did Chasity even know he had a dog? Well, that's what he used as an excuse before. After all, his wolf is a canine. Now why would Derik already have her number on speed dial? It's better to just let the subject drop. "You can just call me when you're done or something..."

"Alright. I'll let you get back to work. Talk to you later." Then he hung up. Derik sat there for a few moments before flopping onto his back with a loud sigh, staring at the sky with his phone in his hands (which were folded on his chest). I hung up too fast. I called her during work. Will she still call me back? "... This is all your fault..." he muttered, turning his head to stare at the black wolf. Derik didn't get much of a response except for a feral laugh.

Joon glance over at Zero and Iris for a second then got his food from the skillet.

Samuel had finished his shift then clocked out after waving good bye to a fellow worker.He left the bookstore and met up with his younger sister Sophia and his dog Break.Once home Sophia went into the kitchen to cook dinner,Samuel lent a hand since his didn't have anything else to do at the moment.
