How did Mort find himself amongst the Nords? More like how did he manage to get both seats next to him taken by ghouls in under five minutes. He needed to share this ghoul magnet secret, seriously.
"M'doin' okay? W-Was 'bout train FEAR n' dummy," he answered Hel a bit slowly since he felt the weight of someone's head on his shoulder and he had to take a glance. "How's you?" Oh! It took him a minute, but he remembered the pallid form of the ghoul from groan spring. What was her name again? Mrrrrrrr . . . "Y-You 'kay?" he mumbled, not turning his head, but glancing at the ghoul because fffffffffshewasonhisshoulderffffffffff. He was totally not going to move for a bit.
Well, at least until he heard Herryk's booming voice and felt the draugr's hand on his free shoulder. "Herryk!" he said with a grin. "Not see n' while, h-how been?"

Night peered up as a shadow passed over himself and Tybalt before lookign a familier but almost unfamilier student.
"Ren?" Night looked from the gryphon to Tybalt before his ears flattened, the boil did not seem happy and from the look of it, Night could figure out why.
"Wow Tybalt, You sure are a Dog." He sighed as he moved a seat away so that Ren could have a clear shot, "I didn't know you knew LW so well." Night sighed again before pulling out his phone, LW was as well, a Good friend of the cat's and a particularly favorite snuggle buddy. He decided promptly at that moment to watch what would happen between the two, no need to intervene after all.

Seemed as though they already had conversations to talk about. Danny waved and giggled at Lark as she joined the group. Wow this was suddenly getting huge. Oh well. Danny kinda liked it.
At Roch's question, she quietly began, "I don't always hafta be with-" but she was cut off by Roch noticing Lark as well. Seemed as though he was preoccupied.
Yin too had turned and was talking to Alex, behind them. Danny didn't mind. She was actually rather preoccupied trying to find out who was on stage next to Arel.
Suddenly angry Yin next to her. "I haven't spoken to any ladies?" Danny questioned. He was talking to her right? Danny was confused.

"Ah, Serious...not upset." Amphi seriously doubted that, the boil did look like he was upset to her. Then again, Xiu knew him best so she would take her word on it, especially if she ever decided to meet the boil. Her eyes turned to land on the small werewolf girl next to him before widening. The girl looked so sweet and shy! And her ears! What was it about the students with animal features that just made Amphi's heart melt at the site of ears, tails or anything for the sorts.
"Is...Is she a wolf?" She lowered her voice at Xiu as well, "I've met a black dog boil before but he didn't have ears or a tail like her! She looks so cute." Amphi flushed as she looked back before shaking her head.
"I...I don't think she'll like me Xiu." Amphi nodded fervently, she was still shy around others. "I...maybe?" She turned in her seat, wringing her hands together before catching the brilliant hue of Sheridan, her Dragon friend.
"Sheridan?" She called out too before looking at Xiu, "Do you know Sheridan? He's a good friend of mine."

Needle was all about small victories, and she racked up another one with her getting Lattice out of their dorm rooms. There was an assembly, and it was her firm belief that Lattice more than anyone needed to know what was going on; being the good sister she was, she was there to force her in to going.
With all the love in the world.
So with Lattice's hand in her own, the blue clad Engraver looked around, settled with the harsh task of finding somewhere for them both to sit that was not already occupied. With the blurry shapes and general luck she managed to find a pair of seats for them, guiding her dear sister in to one before taking a seat herself, staying protectively, or perhaps a little possessively, close.
"There, Sister. Perfect seats!" She said softly, still holding Lattice's hand tightly. "This will be good for you, my dearest." Needle insisted, for perhaps the hundredth time.

Fell watched the commotion unfolding before her with interest. She didn't know either of the two, but It looked to be like a lovers quarrel. Or something close to it. Whatever it was, it was more interesting then the assembly they were supposed to be paying attention to.
"You know either of them?" She asked, turning to face the she-wolf who had kindly accepted her offer to sit with the grim reaper.

Zar was already beginning to feel claustrophobic, the more people in the room, the more in danger he felt. Any one of thse unknown faces could be hiding a metaphorical dagger, any one of them could be willing to throw the entire school into jeopardy all over again over whatever stupid cause it was they thought they championed.
He was edged out his reverie by Nuru's comment, distinctly tetchy today compared to normal, a side effect of the stress of so many people in the room. "A relative of me why? Because he has horns? I don't assume everyone blue and a bit thick is related to you you know. That's /racist/."
He shrugged. "And I'm no wiser than you are. Maybe they'll be telling us the school is closed again, maybe they found a counter loophole."

"Even if she deserves it?" West muttered under his breath. "'Cause she does."One down. That green kid clearly wasn't a Hunter. He doubted a human would care how he treated a classmate, female or otherwise. The boil took note of Danny's relative exuberance. It seemed she had recovered from whatever had knocked her out during their fight with Red. Good to see carrying her around hadn't been a waste of time.

As soon as the shadow loomed over him, Tybalt shrunk further into his seat; refusing to make eye contact, with what he assumed was a rabid beast.
How had he found him so fast? Then again, a glance towards Night and he could only guess.
"Jeez, don't get all bent out of shape." He sighed, eye twitching slightly when Night joined in on the accusations. Accusations that were only natural considering the recent text messages. "Friends Night. Friends. It was just a spar, nothing happened. Though..." he gave the gryphon an amused look. "I thought you said you had nothing to be jealous about."
To be honest, if Ren really thought about it, there was no way someone like LW would cheat on him.

Cady slipped into the assembly room quietly and took a seat in the back, looking uncharacteristically serious. The yellow rain slicker she wore only somewhat ruined that effect.

Initially, the text had startled Amrita. It had been a while since anyone texted her, and lo and behold, another surprise; it was Ash that texted her. The incredibly tall Reaper who had indulged in her finger foods! What a nice boil! All the reason to take him up on his offer.
The ghoul was much different than he had seen her last; she was no longer a small, rotting little child after all! As she stepped in to the Gym, she was soon lost as what he meant from third row; third from the back? The front? The only thing to help her was the left side, and when she looked that way, well, his helm was easy to spot.
Her gaze was on her heels as she picked her way through the crowd, moving to stand just in front of the open seat at Ash's side.
"Ash? Hi!" Her hand twisted awkwardly, just to give him a wave. "Is...Is this seat still available?" The Patchwork Vetala leaned over a bit, looking just past Ash and at the Cerberus at his side. "Hullo~!" Damn her brains! He looked...so familiar...

Their 'guest' was...interesting. Of course the she-wolf (just like everyone else cramming into the gym) wanted to know what the deal was with that dude. Which was why she had been all for accompanying Fell when she asked her to go.
However her attention was currently on a couple certain other boils in front of them.
LW snorted and looked over at Fell with a quirky grin. "Unfortunately...yes." She gestured towards her own boilfriend - who was impressively looming over her best friend - first. "The gryphon would be my boilfriend, Ren. The other is my best friend, Tybalt." She shifted in her seat, pulling her legs up against her chest as her tail wrapped around them. "That is typical behavior."
She paused, eyes flickering to the boils again before she giggled, turning back to Fell. "Do you mind if I borrow this?" LW held up the ghouls phone. "I...forgot mine." The she-wolf gave her friend a sheepish look, followed by a wink before sending a quick text after a nod from Fell. OnionGrump Text to Tybalt: Sup dog? Got yourself in some trouble there?

Directly up the middle aisle, with a smooth, purposeful gait, Riley walked through the auditorium, her eyes glancing down each row and greeting students personally with a short, friendly hello, before making it to the front of the auditorium and sliding into the nearest seat. Chatter seemed to quietly fill the room, leaving behind the echo of conversation begging to be deciphered by the curious. She let it all settle in for consideration later, but for now the majority of her mind focused on the new faces she saw in the room. There were so many. So many new faces. So many potential enemies in disguise.
As she slid into the seat beside Zar and Nuru, two faces new to her. She regarded them with the same intensity as she did most new students, and held her hand out in an elegant fashion once she sensed a lull in the conversation.
Good day. I don't believe we've met. I hope you don't mind me taking this seat behind you. My name is Riley. Might I inquire as to yours, if you don't mind?
Her voice, in their minds, was the essence of eloquence; smooth as silk, without a single hint of the suspicious doubt lingering in her thoughts.

Rain had been outside exercising when she heard the announcement through an open window. The voice on the ickycom mentioned an assembly in the gym and something about guests? She felt a little guilty for skipping class but her body had felt so stiff and there was only one way she could really work out the kinks. She had spent the last hour and a half scaling the side of the building and jumping from one roof to another. Sometimes, she'd jump to the ground just so she could climb back up again. She hated to admit it but she was getting out of shape. She was spending more time nose deep in a pile of comic books than she was playing casketball or participating in any other sport. She grabbed her bag and tossed it around her neck before she started climbing back up the wall. The window was on the third floor it took her no time to reach it and climb inside. Her mom had always told her that it was bad luck to enter a building through a different door than the one she came out of. She figured it worked the same for windows and Jack knows, there was more than enough bad luck lately. She wasn't particularly pleased with the announcement. Who were these.. guests? She really didn't want more Bogeymen coming to the school. Shine barely recovered from the last time they had come to their school. Thinking about her always made her worries go away. It was as if every other thought left her brain whenever Shine entered it, simply refusing to share the space. Rain spent the remainder of her trek skipping to the gym. It didn't take her long to spot Shine. The ghoul stood out like a demon cat in a cage of dustbunnies. She plopped down next to her with a lopsided grin before taking off her messenger bag and setting it on the other ghouls lap. "Baked you some spider chip cookies," she whispered before turning to check out all the students. She had no idea there were this many of them. "Actually, I baked them a few weeks ago but it took awhile for them to acquire the perfect staleness. Should be good now, I even mixed in some multi-colored maggots so they won't look so dull. I don't know how taste though," she ended with a warning. She was sure the maggots would be the best part. She had filled several cups with sugar water before adding in the food coloring. Then she had left the maggots soaking in them for several nights. They had been so fat and juicy! Of course, she wasn't show out it would played out in the final product. She refused to try her own cookies until Shine had the first bite. Baking was a new experience to her and it was fun though she did burn four batches of cookies prior to this one.

Kettil had been about to go out the door when he got a text from Lark and stared down at it quietly. Endy peered down at it as well, "You going to answer or are you still being awkward with her?"
The boil raised an eyebrow, "Of course I am going to answer."
"Then do it." Endy challenged.
The boil texted back to Lark. Once that was done he pocketed his phone and then went out the door toward where the Assembly was being held. Upon arrival he stood there for a long moment with Endzela on his shoulder and after a few moments they located Lark seated amongst a couple of other students. Should he sit with her? Should he give her some air? Why was this so weird all of the sudden?
He at least raised a hand and called out when he got close enough, "Hey Lar!" --------------------------------------- Lattice needed a lot of coaxing since her ordeal at the Maul. Even now going out on her own had become a bit of a rarity and when she did go out she behaved like a frightened little minipet and often scurried back inside the minute something looked like it might turn out unfavorable to her. She used to be brave. She used to face all of the challenges. Lately the bravery and the facing of challenges, however, were at a standstill in favor of paranoia.
Lightly her hand squeezed Needle's as she nodded a bit, "Yes. It will be fine," she parroted back at her Twin. She wanted to do this mostly for Needle more than anything resembling her own good. The quicker they got done here the quicker she can possibly try to escape back to her dorm.
