"Someone attacked Blackthorn?! Grr..." Xavier punched a nearby tree, chipping off some of the bark. Apparently, he'd been personally training his Fighting-types. "You said it was Team Galactic? I can't say I'm too familiar, but I ain't gonna let them get away with somethin' like that... I'll go with ya. I've heard there might be some legendary Pokemon in Eterna Forest, anyway. I'll explain more on the way." He then realized that Andy had mentioned a girl. "And who's this Fleurette gal you mentioned?" He then got a grin on his face, though it was a subtle one. He moved in closer. "Is she cute?" His flirtatious ways hadn't changed, but he was constantly surrounded by females, except they were always Pokemon.

Marth listened to the message and decided that he would indeed go, even without Claire. "Thank-you for your time," he said as he bowed courteously. He then stood up and began to run towards his second home, wishing he had a bike with him so he could ride it instead of running. He didn't want to waste anytime when there was an emergency like this.
He stopped when he came upon a cave and reached his pokeballs, letting his pokemon out to allow them to stretch. He had to tell them they had no food with them, but they were going to go home to get some along with some funds to help them get to their next destination. His pokemon were not happy about it, but they did not make a big fuss. They trusted their trainer and besides, they might find something to eat along the way. Still, they did not know what they might find. Marth then continued to run, his pokemon running at his side towards home.

Fluerette giggled when Andrew told her to call him by his first name. It had become habit for her to refer to people in a polite manner. Manners earned you new allies, and kept you from making any new enemies. And Fluerette had way too many enemies already. Though she doubt they'd still remember her. Hopefully not. Fluerette followed Andrew into the Pokemon Center, where they both had the local Nurse Joy heal their Pokemon. Andrew went outside to wait, and when Fluerette came back out, he stood up and started heading towards Route 205. "Wait, now?" Fluerette cried, alarmed. She bit her lip. "Hold on just a sec, if you will... Andrew. I've got to... say g'bye and all. I'll only be a few minutes, just go on ahead without me."Fluerette ran to the Pokemart first, restocking on all her potions and status heals. After that, she headed to Cain's house. Cain was studiously staring at a piece of cloth Ava was sewing with expert hands. They both looked up when Fluerette entered. Ava studied Fluerette, then smiled, somewhat sadly. "You are leaving, I presume?""Yes." Fluerette breathed. She walked forward and gave Ava a hug. "I'll be back before you know it, Grandmother Ava." She then turned to Cain and scooped him up in her arms. Pouting, he asked if she really had to go. Fluerette smiled, ruffled his hair and set him back down. As Fluerette turned to leave, Ava said, "I wish you much health and luck, Fluerette. And that you return safely soon." Fluerette smiled and walked out the door. Roserade, faithfully trailing behind her as always, paused just a moment to salute Ava and Cain formally, then gently shut the door. The two ran down Route 205 to catch up with Andrew. They spotted him somewhere around ten minutes into the trail, just standing by a tree. She stopped a little behind him, breathing lightly. "Sorry, I had to say farewells to a few residents back in Floaroma, and..." Looking over Andrew's shoulder, Fluerette realized that there was another guy with him, around his age. A playful grin lit up his face, and it widened upon seeing her. Fluerette blushed, then, not knowing what else to do, bowed formally, keeping one hat on her beret. "Oh! I did not see you there, my apologies." Roserade looked at her strangely, then looked at the other guy and saluted him.

Xavier turned around and saw the young woman that ran into him. "Well, hey there! You must be Fleurette. I'm Xavier, and these are my girls." He motioned back to the 6 Pokemon that were following him. "Safira's the Dragonite, Abigail's my Absol, the Gardevoir's Vivian, Phoenix is the Blaziken, the Lucario's Lucca, and Lily is my Lilligant. Say hi, girls!" They all gave a simultaneous call of greetings to the newcomer. "Alright, time for some of ya to go back in your balls. Vivian, it's your turn to stay out." He sent the rest back to their balls, leaving the gorgeous Gardevoir out next to him.

Marth and his pokemon finally made it home after they took a few breaks along the way. Marth was happy to be home and they were greeted with friendly "hey"s and a few "hi"s. Marth entered his home away from home and greeted his mom. "Mama (maw-maw), I'm home!" he called. The woman who took him in after the shipwreck came into the room and smiled to see her friend come home. They talked for a few minutes and then, Marth politely asked for the money he had asked or her to save. She gave him the amount her asked for and he thanked her for the money and for holding it for him.
Marth stood up and offered to cook for the woman; however, the woman said she was not hungry as she had just eaten, so Marth got food for his pokemon and himself and they ate, enjoying the food. Marth stood up and stretched, his pokemon stretching themselves. "You seem tired" Mama said to Marth. She told him she wasn't going to leave in a stern voice, so Marth went up stairs and got ready for bed and fell asleep, his pokemon sleeping with him.

After the introductions had been made, Andrew started walking forward, north on Route 205. "Are you two coming along? We're burning daylight, now!" His Weavile ran around from spot to spot, as if she were never satisfied with the one before. She looked back at Andrew with an impatient look, and from the way the Weavile moved around, it was easy to see just why Andrew was impatient sometimes. He kept up his brisk pace in a vain effort to keep up with his Weavile.

Xavier laughed heartily at Andy's impatience. "You ain't never changed, Andy. You're still as stubborn and impatient as ever. Maybe you're startin' to--" he gasped for effect "--get old!" He let out another hearty laugh, which Vivian also shared in her own way.
"As funny as that was, Xavier, that was somewhat mean." Vivian sent to her trainer. "I understand that it was all in good fun, though, and that it wasn't meant to be malicious."
"That's right, Viv. I used to mess with him like that all the time way back. It's how good friends joke, sometimes," he sent back to her.

As Xavier introduced each of his female Pokemon, Fluerette nodded and shared a smile with each one. She wondered for a second if there was any significance in all his Pokemon being female. Perhaps it was just coincidence, but Fluerette thought it said much about the Pokemon's trainer. When he was finished, Fluerette hurried to introduce her own Pokemon, "Ah, and this is ... Roserade, my partner Pokemon." before Xavier called five out of six back into their Pokeballs, leaving Vivian, the elegant Gardevoir out. Roserade saluted formally to each Pokemon as they glowed red and disappeared into their pokeballs. Fluerette felt slightly embarrassed that she had no nickname for Roserade, but she couldn't exactly imagine Roserade with any other name other than Roserade. With that done, Andrew turned and started to walk briskly down the path, keeping up to pace with his Weavile, who has skittering from spot to spot. Fluerette hurriedly walked to keep up with the two tall men. Her small legs didn't really come in handy in situations like this. She walked, or at least tried to walk alongside Xavier, who was heartily taunting Andrew. Then he looked at his Gardevoir, who stared deeply back at him, as if they were having a silent conversation. Of course, Fluerette thought. Gardevoir was a Psychic pokemon. She could talk telepathically to any human or Pokemon. Fluerette watched them converse for a moment, a small smile on her face, then she said, "So, Xavier... are you just accompanying us to Eterna, or will you be helping us find Team Galactic?"

Xavier's face took on a contemplative expression. "I ain't sure, yet. I really wanna help y'all with this Team Galactic business, since they attacked my hometown, but I don't wanna turn back on my current mission, either..." He looked down at Fleurette, then nodded. "Since you're with him, I'm guessin' I can trust ya. I'm sure you've heard about all them experiments about combinin' human and Pokemon DNA or some such business... Anyway, there's a lot of people that ain't too fond of the idea, and some of them have even formed resistance groups to combat them. I found out about it just before I left Unova, and did that ever chap my hide! At the same time, someone who had found out that I had conquered the Elite 4 there approached me. He told me he was with a group called the Reshiram Resistance, a group that was opposed to the experiments. Apparently, they got agents on the inside that told 'em that whoever's doin' these experiments is lookin' for some legendary Pokemon, since they figure they're the only ones strong enough to survive. They hired me to search 'em out and try to capture 'em, first."
Vivian nodded, then added to both of them telepathically, "He also knew that the 6 of us would be more than adequate for the job, and that it would be a thrilling adventure, so he was more than happy to oblige them. If it were not for the fact that we lacked sufficient funds at the time, Xavier would have likely taken the job free of charge."

Fluerette's shoulders dropped slightly when Xavier told her he wasn't quite sure whether or not he would join them. He seemed like a very robust guy, handy to have along if the road they were taking were to be dangerous - which Fluerette had no doubt it was. Not that she couldn't handle it. He then proceeded to tell her how there were some people who'd formed resistance groups against the human-Pokemon hybrid experiments. Yes, she knew about that. Encountered a few of them while she was traveling, and a few that supported the experiments. Xavier's next words only mildly surprised Fluerette. "At the same time, someone who had found out that I had conquered the Elite Four there approached me." Fluerette had a small inkling that he was a pretty strong trainer - after, he and Andrew seemed like good buddies, and if Andrew was that powerful, Xavier had to be somewhere around his skill level - but he didn't really look like one to be hardworking. Once he finished, his Gardevoir spoke up, her crisp, soft, and beautiful voice gently echoing in Fluerette's mind. Fluerette smiled. "Have you had experience dealing with legendary Pokemon before?" Roserade walked by her side, keeping a close watch on their surroundings, as if it were a bodyguard.

Xavier shook his head. "Honestly, I've only seen brief descriptions of some of 'em. I've heard plenty of rumors, though. I've heard about a couple that are pretty commonly sighted here, but not so much seen for long. Sadly, I ain't sure that Vivian here could handle 'em both, if either one. One's a Dark-type, and the other's Psychic." He pulled out his PokeDex and pulled up the entries he had on them. "Lucky for me, I spoke with Prof. Juniper in Unova. She had plenty of info on 'em all. These are the ones I've heard about around here: Darkrai and Cresselia." He then got to thinking. "Y'know, I just realized that if I hang with you two, I'll probably end up runnin' into some legendary Pokemon, anyway. I've heard that Team Galactic deals with them, too." Hell, maybe I could get to know this gal a little better, too... It's a win-win if I stick with them! He gave Fleurette a bright smile. "I think I'll stick with y'all a while. It'd probably be beneficial for all of us."
Vivian chuckled telepathically to Xavier. "You should feel fortunate she does not know the real reason you are staying with them, Xavier. But do not worry. I will not divulge such a secret."
"I should hope not, Viv. That wouldn't be cool at all, if you did. I'd forgive ya, though. You're one of my girls, after all."

┏━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Darena Zanover Pokemon researcher┗━━━━━━━━━━━┛ • • • • • It was morning in Canalave, and Darena was the first visitor through the doors of the library. It didn't take her long to pull out all the books on Mew again and begin devouring their contents. After a decent meal and a good night's sleep, she was ready to take on everything.
As her research went on, the table she sat at became obscured by books of every size. World atlases sprawled under pages of notes and open hardbound books. People raised their eyebrows in silent wonder at the spectacular chaos unfolding in front of Darena, and librarians glanced over in sinking apprehension, imagining cleaning up everything when the researcher left.
It was absolutely incredible, what she was learning. By now, she was certain that Mew could read minds at will, and hid from those who intended any harm. Since most people generally went after it to capture it, they never got close enough to see it. It liked tropical places with thick jungles, and there were a few locations where Mew sightings tended to stay around. By the time she gathered up her volumes of notes and carefully closed and stacked the books on the table, she felt like she could pinpoint its location pretty easily now.
My only problem is actually finding it. Who knows if it'll interpret my intentions as bad? I could wander around in its territory for years and never find it!
If it couldn't read her mind, that would be a different story. Maybe she should visit some Psychic-type experts to find out how Psychic Pokemon could read minds.
Maybe it's time to go back to Kanto. The Gym leader in Saffron is definitely an expert. I wonder if she'd make me fight a battle first to prove I'm worthy of learning...
With that thought, Darena somberly considered her Pokemon. She hadn't really focused on training them for battle. They were more used to assisting her in the field and on the road. Sometimes, if a wild Pokemon was overly persistent, they would battle, but she avoided trainers whenever she could help it. She didn't want to run the risk of losing and being murdered. All her dreams would be crushed in an instant.
She was walking through the streets of Canalave, considering her options. Eventually, she was walking near the docks, where she'd lost track of that rude woman from yesterday. Darena watched the Wingulls flying high overhead, then let her gaze drift to the boats moored in the harbor. An idea to just relax for the day and enjoy the city popped into her mind, but she immediately brushed it aside. There was no rest for her. She had work to do! She needed to organize her trip back to Kanto!
I wonder if there's a ship that goes from Canalave to a city in Kanto. Any city would be fine, and it would be a shorter distance for Swellow to fly.
Now she walked along the docks with purpose, intending on finding a boat to take her home.

Marth was walking on a road with just himself, in the wide open field. The road was straight and narrow, the sky cloudless and blue. Marth did not see any pokemon at all and he decided that it was natural for them to not be out and about.
He came to a single tree and sat down in the shade. He lazily stretched his arms and legs and sat there, not moving a muscle. He began to think of what he was doing, unsure of what to do next. He could write a letter to his folks or he could write in a journal; although, he did not have his pack with him, which he found a little strange. He had never left his pack anywhere after he started out on his journey, but then, something more strange happened.
The sky turned a dark purple, the field and tree vanishing. Marth did not know what was happening. He began to hear noises that sounded like growling dogs and monsters. He looked around but did not see anything and he began to panic. None of his pokemon were, wait, pokemon! Marth reached for one of his pokeballs, only to find he did not have any He began to worry, his heart race with fear. He took a step back before turning and running away, whatever he heard giving chase.
He did not know how long he ran, but he spotted something ahead. Could it be a refuge? He did not know. He kept on running, not looking back, the purple transparent ground leading to it. As he got closer, it looked like a castle, but he did not know what was in it.
As soon as he reached it, he opened the doors and slammed them shut, the noises unable to get in. He looked around the castle, hoping he could find someone that would help. He saw the pictures of a man, and a picture of a cat with a boy. He found no one and he called out for help. No one came. He left the main entrance of the castle and went up the stairs into a hallway. He carefully walked down the hall way, going up some more stairs, a rat following him. He reached the fourth floor and found another hallway. He opened a door and was surprised by what he saw.
In front of his eyes was a naked guy with scars on his back. He was chained to the wall and sat, facing towards the outside window. 'What happened to you?' Marth asked the guy. The guy stood up as best he could, shivering and in pain. 'Marth, please help me,' the man said. Marth took a step back from the man, astounded he knew Marth's name. 'How did you know my name?' he asked the man, but the man only repeated what he said before. Marth did not know what was going on but when he took another step back, he bumped into something. He saw that it was another man, and older one that looked familiar, just like the one chained to the wall looked familiar. He was scared now as the man went to attack Marth who had no weapon on him. The chained man kept asking for help and gave him clues to who he was, when finally, the older man went and abused his son. Marth stood in shock of what was happening, it was all too familiar when it finally hit him.
Marth woke up, shouting his friend's name. His pokemon woke up, somehow not waking up from Marth's tossing and turning. He was sweating. He got out of bed and decided to go back to his investigation, thinking to himself, 'It was that time. It has to be it.' He got into his shower, scrubbed away until he was clean. He washed his hair thoroughly.
After he was finished with the shower, he got dressed and put four of his pokemon back into their pokeballs. He left golduck out so he could play in the water outside. He was due for a swim. He wrote a letter on put it on the kitchen table to let his mom away from home know he was off again. He exited the house and sat, his feet in the water, his golduck playing in it.

Fluerette listened silently to Xavier as he explained, keeping a watchful eye on Roserade, who, in turn, was keeping a watchful eye on everything else. Fluerette never heard of Professor Juniper; she knew there was one top professor in each region - she'd met Professor Rowan once, but just fleetingly, while she and her sister were returning from a Galactic raid. He looked on in disapproval, and though Fluerette ignored his gaze, she could feel it piercing her back. She never dared face him again. Xavier said how there were two legendary Pokemon that were found in Sinnoh: Darkrai and Cresselia. Fluerette looked up at Xavier, raising her eyebrows. He then went on to say that he'd heard Team Galactic dealt with them as well, and Fluerette looked back down. That was true. At least, when she was there, Galactic had been doing a study on the two legendaries, but didn't consider it a priority at that time and, thankfully, never put any plans to action. Then, he said that it'd be more beneficial if he stuck with Fluerette and Andrew. Fluerette looked back up and smiled. "That's great. I think I feel just a bit safer now." She felt that that last statement was a bit much, but it was true. The more people in a party the better, in all aspects. T I M E . S K I P - Eterna City, approx. 9 pm It was night by the time the trio finally arrived in Eterna. As a daytime Pokemon, Roserade started getting drowsy around sunset, but refused to go back into its Pokeball. It slowed their pace by just a little bit, but Roserade was determined to try not to be a hindrance as much as possible, something that Fluerette admired and made note to praise later on when they were alone. By now, they were all pretty tired, and trudged down the streets, looking for a hotel. Fluerette was missing the warm, hot cooked stew that Grandmother Ava always made, but she didn't say anything. She didn't to make Andrew regret his decision to let her come with him and think that she was too pampered. Finally, they came upon a hotel. Fluerette could have hugged it. It looked so comfortable and welcoming. However, she restrained herself and followed Andrew through the door.
